🌩️ Beryl’s Pov 🌩️
Tears rolled down my eyes as I found my way to the rest room
A little migraine started but I shook it off,my stomach also grumbled and I got fustrated
“Would you just keep quiet?”I yelled at my b©dy fustrated
I couldn’t even help myself
I knew students would be coming in to use the rest room so I went into one of the toilets and locked my self in.
The students c@m£ in and when lunch break was over they left
When I was sure nob©dy was going to be outside,I c@m£ out only to be shocked by Margaret
“What on earth?…Maggie what are you doing here?”I asked and she sh0t me a deadly glare
“I should be asking you what you’ve been doing in the toilet….and what happened to you?”she asked as her eyes scanned me from hair to toe
The fact that she asked brou-ght tears to my eyes
“Oh Berry… Berry what happened?”she asked engulfing me in a hvg,I ti-ght£ñed my arms around her letting the tears fall,I don’t know what happened but she Joined me and we sobbe-d together
After consoling ourself,I decided to tell her what happened
“Dylan did this”I said pointing at my hair and my shi-t
“Dylan?”
“Yes,you know when that student c@m£ to tell me that the science teacher told me to bring something from the janitor’s closet?”I asked and she nodded
“It was a tra-p.. I went in and he shut the door,he tried to abuse me…. Maggie..he was trying to r@p£ me”I Said crying again
“Oh he is gonna be in big trouble”she said trying to go out but I held her back
“Let go of me Berry,I am going to report that animal,skin him alive and then go to jail”
“plea-se Maggie,you know I’d be at disadvantage,his Dad is one of the Major shareholders of this school,so reporting would just bring shame and discomfort to me”
“Your new dad is Rich too Berry let’s report this matter”
“I just got adopted yesterday Maggie,I don’t want to start causing problems for them”
“Oh Berry I am so sorry”
“It’s fine but there is something else to worry about”
“What?”
“When I got out of the janitor’s closet,I bu-mped into my brother and he saw me like this”I said and she frowned
“He saw you like…… wait what?…you have a brother? And he attends this school?”
“Yes,my new brother”
“Tell me,who is it?”
“Promise me you won’t tell anyone”
“I promise”
“Tim”
“Huh?…the new guy?”
“Yes”
“Wow…I mean wow,so what did he say when he saw you?”
“Para-phrasing…you should have waited till school close and get a room”
“What?..he said that?… oh he is so gonna get it from me”she said trying to go outside but I pu-ll-ed her back
“He doesn’t like me that much… don’t make it worst”
“I am really sorry you had to go throu-gh this”
“It’s fine, re-ad this to me”I said handing her the paper Tim threw at me
“Meet me at the sp©t I dropped you… what does this mean?”
“The housekeeper and chaffeur are yet to resume ,so Tim drove us to school”
“Oh”
“Your brush?”
“I won’t go anywhere without it”she replied handing me her brush
I brushed my hair and smoothened my shi-t then we went to clas-s,the teacher was alre-ady in clas-s but I showed her the pas-s I got earlier because of the change of name I had to do,so she allowed us in
Everyone kept staring but I was not even in the mood,so I just went to my seat
The rest of the school hour went uneventful, probably because whenever a teacher leaves myself and Maggie put our head on our desk and whenever a teacher comes in we raise it back.
I was really happy when the bell rang to signify the end of school hour,I packed my books and left with Maggie
“So what are you doing today?’
“Going shopping with my new mum”
“Sweet”she said and I smiled
“Hey,look”she said pointing towards Tim
“No no Maggie don’t do it”
“You just watch”she replied running towards him,she bu-mped into him suddenly ma-king him fall face flat,I could hear her apologize like she didn’t do it on purpose
She turned and gave me a wi-nk pointing at Dylan who was picking on a student at the other end
I shook my head but it was useless,she ran towards his direction yelling c0ckroach,she stomped her foot and stepped on him severally, apologizing but still stepping on him
I couldn’t help but laugh
She is such a drama queen,I walked to the gate where her driver was waiting
She c@m£ to us few minutes later, laughing hysterically
“You should see his face Berry,the guy is scared of c0ckroach and your brother was shocked..he looked so shocked that one would think heaven fell open”
“You are a crazy drama queen”
“I get that alot”she said flinging her ponytail to the back
“Thank you”
“Anything for you”
I hvgged her and told her good bye
That’s my bestie she’d do anything for me

🎗️ Beryl’s Pov🎗️
I walked to the sp©t Tim dropped me earlier,he was alre-ady there looking….not quite good
I waved and he unlocked the door
“Hi”I greeted after settling in but he didn’t reply,I sighed knowing that he won’t reply
“plea-se drop me at the next two turnings”I said and he gave me a weird look
“Taking the advice I gave you earlier?”he asked and I frowned
This guy is getting on my nerves and if he keeps talking to me like this,then so help me God
“I am asking you a question”
“That should be none of your business brother”
“You can tell me,so I can help you lie to mummy”
“You should really mind your business”
“Snake”
“Look here,I don’t know why you are being mean to me,so,I don’t think I deserve this treatment you are giving me,if you have any score to Settle with me then talk to me”I said ma-king him keep quiet
For the rest of the drive he didn’t say a word to me and I didn’t mind, because his words were harsh.
He dropped me near the orphanage and I went in
I met Maria in her office working on some do¢v-ment
“Hi Maria”
“Beryl,how are you doing today?”
“I am fine thank you,how is your day going?”
“Fine thank you, so tell me,how is your new family?”
“They are awesome”I said reluctantly
“Are you sure?”she asked looking at me in a weird way
“Yes.. yes I am”
“If they are not treating you well Beryl…tell us, we’d do something about it”she said and I flashed her a genuine smile
“I c@m£ to tell you,I can’t wait here for long today,I am going shopping with mum”
“Really?”
“Yup”
“Wow,I guess you are actually doing well”
“Yup,bye gotta go”
“How would you get back home?”
“I’d take cab”
“Ok bye”
“Bye Maria” I greeted rushing out so that I won’t be late

🎵 Tim’s Pov🎵
After parking the car and I was going upstairs to my room,when my mum called me
“Tim?….where is your sister?”she asked and I frowned
“How would I know,she told me to drop her,two turnings after school”
“Oh she must have gone to the orphanage,I guess I would wait for her”she said moving to the sitting room
“Orphanages?”I whispered to myself going to my room
I totally forgot Beryl is an orphan,but,I don’t know
Is she actually an innocent orphan or an orphan, using that as an excuse to turn bad?
I shook my head and went into the rest room to freshen up
I shouldn’t be taking her matter to heart.
🌤️ Chapter Six🌤️
🎗️ Beryl’s Pov🎗️
I couldn’t help but feel something was off while I was at the orphanage,my mind kept straying to nothing in p@rticular, I prayed about it and finished up with what I had to do at the orphanage.
I rushed home to meet my new mum who f0rç£d Tim to go with us.
He gave me attitude throu-gh out the ride to the mall, but, I forgot all about that when we got to the mall
I had fuuuuuuun, everything was different and beautiful.
I got a phone, clothes,shoes and bags….we even pla-yed games and I have to admit I was a little bit disappointed when we had to leave.
Thank God it’s Friday,after we had dinner we watched movies before going to be-d
I was very happy and I didn’t forget to thank God for all he has done for me before going to be-d.
I woke up early the next morning and I did the house chores with mum as usual, after we’ve all had breakfast I decided to call Maggie,I was 200% she won’t be expecting the call and I was not disappointed.
“Hello, Margaret here plea-se”
“Hi Maggie!”
“Berry?…Berry is that you?”
“Yes baby”
“Wow,I can’t believe it, tell me about it”she asked out of curiosity
I upd@t£d and we finally decided to meet after we both asked for permission from our parents.
I left home that evening dressed in a blue go-wn and blue sandal,I bid my mum farewell and I took a cab to the ice cream sp©t,I was few minutes early so I had to wait for Maggie.
I was expecting all but not getting almost pummeled by gangsters, I was waiting for Maggie when some gangsters raced in on motorcycles
There were engaged in a very serious fight and everyone was running late Helter Sketer, I was also looking for where to hide when one of them threw a bottle.
I pas-sed out immediately it connected with my head.
🌀 Chapter Seven🌀
💫Tim’s Pov💫
“Mum I told you alre-ady, she is not a kid, she’d take care of herself” I told my mum fustrated
She has been disturbing me since Beryl left home, she wanted me to follow her claiming to be having a bad feeling since she left.
“Tim, do you want me to report you to your dad?”
“Mum!, St©p threatening me”
“plea-se Tim, do this for me” she plea-sed sitting beside me
“I would but this won’t happen again” I told her, she gave me the address to the ice cream shop she went to and I moved
Everything was weird when I got to the ice cream stall’s parking lot everything was looking weird
I c@m£ down from the car and walked towards the stall still puzzled by the atmosphere of the place when someone called me
“Tim!” The person called and I turned to see Beryl’s friend inside her car looking worried, I hurried to her to ask about Beryl
“Are you not supposed to be with Beryl?” I asked taking a closer look at her then I realized she was crying
“Oh Tim, I was supposed to, but then some gangsters caused chaos before I could get there, plea-se help me check her, plea-se” she said sobbing
I started running immediately she said that with the feeling of regret, my mum’s feeling was right, now Beryl might be in trouble, I ran even fas-ter.

I was in pain
My head hurts
Why can’t I open my eyes
Why is everything so fuzzy?
Hello?
Why can’t I say anything?
Why am I talking in my mind only?
Am I dead?
I couldn’t l@ymy hands anything but I was awake long enough to feel someone carry me and after that I drifted dee-per into the pit I was in alre-ady.
One thing I know for sure is, I am ALIVE

💙 Beryl’s Pov💙
I woke up with a bad head ache, and my mouth felt heavy.
I opened my eyes and it stung, I managed to look around even though I couldn’t see clearly.
Oh Lord , where am I?
I tried to sit up even though my head hurts alot, but someone held me down.
“Hey stay down you’d hurt yourself” someone said and u snapped into semi full consciousness immediately
I would recognize that voice anywhere
“Dylan?” I mean Dylan the bully? That was trying to have car-nal knowledge of me?
“Hi Beryl”
“What am I doing here?, What are you doing here?”
“This is my house”
“Then what on earth am I doing here?, I was supposed to be at the ice cream shop, what happened?” I asked scared that he might have done something with me.
“Calm down, you should be grateful I got you out of there before you bled to death”
“There are hospitals you know?”
“You know the kind of reputation my family has, so hospital is no option, except you want the reporters to tear you into pieces instead of bleeding to death”
“Thank you”
“My family doctor said you’d be fine after you use some drugs and you rest well”
“Thank you, I would leave now” I said trying to get out of the be-d
“I’d take you home”
” No plea-se don’t worry”
” Come on , do you want to get yourself killed?” He said and I had to think about his offer
I really don’t want to cause more trouble, but I don’t want him to know I am now Tim’s sister
I thought about it for a while and I made my decision
” On the condition that you would keep a secret”
“A secret?, Tell me”
“You would soon know, just know I am trusting you with a hvge secret and you must not tell anyone”
“Oookay?” He answered skeptical
“Can we go now?” I asked and he shook his head
“Nope, you have to take a bath , change your cloth, eat and take the drugs”
“Okay” I replied too weak to argue
“I would s£nd a maid in to help you” he said going out and I nodded
‘Oh Lord protect my family
Comfort them, plea-se don’t let me be a source of worry to them’ I prayed letting myself drift off for a while
💫Tim’s Pov💫
I ran as fast as I could , I was really scared for her.
My heart almost c@m£ out throu-gh my mouth when I saw the state of the ice cream sto-re, everything was practically ruined and everyone was getting away from there as fast as they could, some people were even hurt and the shop owner was trying to calm them down.
I looked around for Beryl, but, I couldn’t find her anywhere, I tried to ask of her from people, but they were still tensed so they couldn’t give me a useful information.
I was really scared and I searched for her one more time but I still couldn’t find her.
I rushed back to meet Beryl’s friend who was still crying.
“Are you sure Beryl is there?”.
“Yes, she s£nt me a text over two hours ago telling me she was waiting for me, I should have c@m£ earlier” she said running her hand throu-gh her hair.
“Calm down, we would find her”I said turning to go away but she st©pped me.
” Wait, I’d go with you” she said removing her her seat belt.
“Miss, you can’t go down there it’s dangerous, your parents would break my arms if they find out I allowed you out of the car” Her driver opposed but she won’t hear of it.
“And I would have your head if you don’t let me go”.
“You don’t have to worry, I’d look for her alone”.
“Hey!.. you look at me, if you think I would stay in this car while you look for my bestie, you are wrong, now you, open this car right now!”she said in a tone that both me and her driver could not say a word.
The driver unlocked the car and we went in search of Beryl.
We both really tried our best but we couldn’t find her, we didn’t have any other choice than to back home and tell my parents that Beryl was probably missing.
Like expected my parents didn’t take that lightly my mum started crying and my dad called everyb©dy he could.
We couldn’t file a missing person report because it was not up to 24 hrs since we couldn’t find her, but, my Dad pu-ll-ed all the string he could and some people were s£nt out to look for her.
“plea-se help me find Beryl, plea-se” my mum cried and my dad tried to console her, Beryl’s friend was also trying to help, but everything we did was to no avail.
We were all still trying to calm her down when we heard someone horn, everyone rushed to the window and we watch our security check the person then let the person in.
The person I least expected c@m£ down from the car, I was so puzzled that I didn’t know when I voiced it out, Beryl’s friend must have been too because she did too
“Dylan?!”
” What is going on here?” My mum asked sniffing
Dylan started helping someone out of the car and I was shocked to know it was Beryl
Oh no she didn’t, doing her stuff out of the school was good enough, but bringing her guy to my house? That is definitely not it and she would hear what it is from me today!.
