My perfect marriage Episode 15 & 16

MY PERFECT MARRIAGE
EPISODE 15

At 8months, Kas-sy went in to early labor and delivered a baby boy. Her husband was super excited and he showered her with many gifts. The boy weighed 4.5kg and he was a peaceful baby, he didn’t cry much.
Patience was still struggling with the pregnancy and it’s like the h0t season did not make it any better.
Phil!pand Patience went to visit Kas-sy’s baby, holding the baby felt more real for Patience and she knew just how it would feel like if they had their own. Phil!phowever did not show much emotion and Patience noticed. As the ladies were bonding with the baby Patience struggled to get something off her che-st. Kas-sy held the baby and started brea-stfeeding him, she looked at Patience and asked her what was wrong.
“I’m scared Kas-sy.. Patience said.
“Scared of what mama?.. Kas-sy asked.
“I just feel like one day I will wake up and not know what to do with the baby.. She said.
Kas-sy bur-st into laughter upon hearing those words.
“Don’t worry sweetheart, motherhood instincts just kicks in, you don’t nee-d to learn much.. She responded.
“Are you sure Kas-sy?.. patience asked,
“Yes I’m sure.. She responded…
“I feel like I want mum to come right now.. Phil!pis really not much of help.. Patience said.
“You’re lucky you have a mum as for me it is all about learning as I go, but I know mums come in handy so if you feel mum should do it then yes she should come.. Kas-sy responded.
“Phil!pjust doesn’t get it, I mean he doesn’t seem as excited as I would expect him to be considering that this is our first child.. Patience said.
“Mama don’t you think you people nee-d to talk to someone. Kas-sy asked.
“Oh someone like who precisely? Patience asked looking very interested.
“Ok let me l@yhim down in his cot I will explain.. Kas-sy said as she got up to take the baby. She met Ted in the pas-sage and he offered to put the baby to sleep.
“Oh you are back quic-kly.. Patience said.
“Oh yeah that is because Ted offered to take him to be-d. Kas-sy replied
“Wow! You see that? That is what I want, I wonder if Phil!pwill be that concerned. Patience said.
“Ok now you are exaggerating Patience, Phil!pis an amazing guy and I think he deserves more credit especially from you his wife.. Kas-sy interrupted.
“Ok here is what you will do.. I think you nee-d to talk to someone that will help you fix the issues you are feeling.. you know like a spiritual director.
“No it is not good seeing someone, I know Phili-p.. he always show commitment but does little to prove himself. He does things for the routine, something is missing. Something is really missing and I’m very sure of it… a woman has a 6th s-en-se, I believe what I am feeling is that 6th s-en-se at pla-y. Patience said
“In short you think something is wrong? Kas-sy asked.
“Yes absolutely, I believe something is seriously wrong and I want to know what that is.. Patience said.
“Don’t you have one of those women who are good at helping people, I mean those that carry out counselling and all.. She said.
“I know just who to talk to Kas-sy, I nee-d to see her before I deliver.. Patience said.
“I wish I could esc-rt you but as you can see I cannot move around with the baby.. Kas-sy said.
“Alright I will go alone.. guess we nee-d to go now, I want to rest I feel sleepy. She said.
As they went home Phil!pnoticed the silence and asked Patience what was wrong but she did not respond. Instead of trying to make things better, Phill!phad been going to Tisa for affection because Patience was no longer able to do so as she was running towards delivery. A p@rt of him wondered what would happen if she found out but he still had a weakness for Tisa that could all be summed up in S-xual satisfaction. She was in better shape and less grumpy than Patience but that is only because Patience was pregnant.
The following day Patience decided to visit a woman who was once her director, she had a lot of things to say to her and her problems with Phil!pwere the t©p on her list. The last time she visited the named lady she was praying over something that c@m£ to pas-s.
After showering a p@rt of her felt lazy.. She thought to herself.. “What If my pregnancy is just pla-ying tricks on me?, maybe Phil!pis actually not bad.. but no something has to be wrong”
After sitting for some time she decided to put herself together and go.
The woman lived in Salama Park just near their house that Phil!phad gotten rid of. She deliberately pas-sed throu-gh the same road and noticed the house was now properly done and it looked very good from outside, her heart sunk a little as she wondered what it would have been like if they did not sell the house. Patience finally arrived and it was indeed a blessed day as she found her spiritual mum Mrs Mutale had just arrived back from Ch!pata where she went for a prayer work shop.
Mrs. Mutale was so excited and they talked for a while, catching up on old times before she could get to the reason of her visit.
“I see you are blessed in every way.. this baby is a blessing.. when are you due?.. Mrs Mutale asked.
“Mum yes indeed this child is a blessing I thank God, I’m due in 7 weeks but I have a problem.. she said.
“Whats the matter talk to me? Mrs. M asked.
“It is Phil!pand I, we don’t seem to see eye to eye anymore.. Patience responded as her voice cracked
“Oh my daughter are you alre-ady fighting with Phili-p? Mrs Mutale asked.
“Patience narrated all that she had been experiencing and Mrs Mutale listened attentively. Patience ended by saying:
“I don’t know if am crazy or if I have seriously lost my mind but I just feel something is wrong”
“Well my dear, if you think something is wrong and if you have had this feeling for so long then something really is wrong. Do you know the power God has given you as a wife?..
Patience looked down for a bit without a word and then she looked up..
“yes I do mum.. I do”.. she responded.
“Well I’m not sure you’re fully aware of that.. I’m urging you now to start praying seriously, you have taken your prayer life very reluctantly.. there’s no other help for a child of God than throu-gh prayer.. do you hear me Patience?..
“Yes I do mum.. she responded.
“I’m sure if you will follow the steps I have given you, it shouldn’t be ha-rd , you can now close your eyes as we pray.
After the prayer Patience felt energized and felt the as-surance she nee-ded that everything would be ok.
“Remember just like I always told you before, if anything should pres£nt itself.. don’t panic.. Leave it to God and he will show you what to do.. ok dear go well. Mrs M said
As Patience drove she felt very relieved but she drove past the house again and she was shocked when she saw the lady from the milkshake place parking at the gate and hooting. The lady happened to be Tisa.
“wow what a coincidence does she know the residents of the house? Or is she the one who bought the house?..” Patience thought to herself. she couldn’t guess what it was but as she drove past suddenly her stomach felt a sharp pain and she felt like something had moved in her stomach.
“God what is this? She thought.
Patience quic-kly drove to the clinic and called Phili-p, she wasn’t on account at the clinic but she went on Phili-ps account. The moment she got to the reception and told them she was Phili-ps wife the receptionist acted shocked.
“Excuse me it is an emergency I’m in pain.. i said I am Mr. Mena’s wife I nee-d to see the doctor!!” She screamed at the reception
“The receptionist quic-kly requested people to take Patience on a stretcher and she was rushed in to the gynecologists’ office.
The nurse in charge was so upset with the receptionist
“How do you watch a client in pain like that? Don’t you know pregnancies are delicate!” yelled the nurse in charge.
“Madam I’m so sorry but there’s a serious problem.. That woman claims to be Mrs. Mena but another woman delivered here close to a year ago and she was registered as Mrs. Mena, the one who had a complication with the pregnancy.. Here, if you want check on my computer.. Mr Mena’s wife is listed here as Tisa Mena and she delivered a year ago”.. The receptionist responded.
“Are you sure of what you saying?” the nurse insisted.
“Madam I’m positive that is what she said”.. The receptionist replied
“oh.. yes you are right about the other woman, I remember her. Ok it is fine she is being examined call Mr. Mena right away.. And make no mention of this to anyone” the nurse warned.
Before the receptionist could even make the call Phil!prushed in.
“excuse me madam my wife is here may I plea-se see her.. she is Mrs. Patience Mena…”. He said as he panicked.
MY PERFECT MARRIAGE
EPISODE 16
“she is being examined by the doctor right now, plea-se do me a favour sir, I nee-d you to calm down I want to ask you a couple of questions”.. she said.
“Yes what is it?” he asked as he panicked.
“sir your wife does not appear in our system the person who was listed as your wife delivered here.. I’m sure you remember her. Her name is Mrs. Tisa.”
“Yes I do remember but I paid cash for her.. Phil!pinterrupted.
“Sir if you remember very well and if your memory serves you right what you paid cash for was the procedure on her fibroids and not for the delivery.
“Oh yes but she is my wife and I nee-d her to be on the scheme.. I wish I could explain in a language you un-derstand.. he said.
“Bear with me sir I will seriously be risking my job to do that.. I cannot list two women as your spouses.. the account you have has provision for one spouse only.
Phil!pwas confused.. he did not have money on him and his gratuity had not yet come. He couldn’t get an overdraft on his account because of the loan.
At that point the only thought that crossed his mind was to discharge her and rush her to University Teaching Hospital (UTH), as he was thinking the nurse c@m£.
“sir how are you?..” the nurse greeted.
Phil!pjust smiled in panic wondering what the nurse would say next.
“Your wife is not ok, for some reason she had a blood rush what you would call BP.. Now that is very risky for her and the baby, we have tried to stabilise and it seems the bp is now going down.. she almost had a miscarriage.
“nurse does that mean she can go home now, she is fine right..? he asked.
“She is doing well yes but it is very risky to let her go home now. She has to be here for at least a day or two so we can observe her.. the nurse said.
“Nurse I’m financially stranded right now, is it possible at this point to transfer her to another clinic maybe?.. he asked.
“Sir are you listening to me or are you just ignoring me for no reason?.. The nurse said as she slightly lost her temper.
Phil!prushed to the ward to see her and he found her staring at the ceiling.
“honey how are you?”.. he asked her.
“God is good”.. she responded as tears rolled down her eyes.
“Baby what is it? plea-se talk to me.. he asked her.
“I’m fine Phili-p, I am ok .. she responded as she continued to stare at the ceiling.
“plea-se call my mum.. she added
“no honey I can’t do that.. I’m responsible for you.. am I failing at my duties as a husband?”.. he asked her.
“a mother will know best, plea-se call her”.. she said.
Patience’s mum c@m£ rushing the moment she received the phone call and she stayed by her be-dside as she prayed with her and encouraged her.
That night Phil!pcouldn’t sleep at home, he felt haunted by everything around him so he decided to spend a night at his best friends place.
Sam had noticed something was wrong with Phil!pand he insisted that Phil-ips peak up although Phil!pwas trying ha-rd not to explain.
“Phil!pyou look confused… you look like you are losing your mind.. talk to me plea-se.. what is the matter?.. look man pregnancies are normal. She will deliver well trust me.. Sam said.
“Sam I’m confused, I have messed up and I have messed up bad kind.” Phil-ips aid
“What are you talking about? Sam asked in shock
“I can’t afford Patience’s medical bills and I’m planning on taking her to a government hospital.
“Ok you are kidding right?.. I know you are capable of affording that and besides you can use the medicals.. what happened to that?
“Sam you don’t un-derstand I listed Tisa as my wife so that means Patience cannot be on my medicals as my spouse.
“You did what?.. and why on earth would you do that?.. Sam asked in shock.
“Because she was pregnant and she had to deliver… he replied
“Well how does that become your business?.. Sam asked
Phil!pdid not say a word but just looked down.
“Wait! What?.. Tisa has your child?.. Sam asked in shock
“They are twins… Phil!presponded
“No, that can’t be true!.. Phil!pyou have disappointed me my friend.. yes we do pl@ybut a real man does not cross that line. Children outside marriage? What were you thinking?.. sam asked
“If what I wanted was criticism I would be talking to someone else right now not you.. Phil!presponded angrily
“Oh God Phil!pI don’t know what to tell you and so where is she? Sam asked
“She is in my house in Salama park. He responded
“What!! And Patience does she know about this?
“No she doesn’t man.. she doesn’t know a thing..” Phil!preplied
“do you realise how this will make me look as your friend Phili-p? awe man you have messed up bad kind!! Not with Patience she doesn’t deserve it..” sam said
Sam was extremely mad and shouted at Phil!ptelling him all sorts of things but in the end he c@m£ and around.
The following day Patience was discharged in the morning and Phil!pmanaged to settle the fees for the day she spent in hospital.
As Patience was in the room lying down she tried to recall everything that happened before she was admitted but she couldn’t un-derstand what would have caused her sudden attack. She decided not to make her heart worry and she immediately fell asleep.
That day she l@yin be-d and avoided stressing, Phil!pdid not go for work but he stayed home and helped out with what she nee-ded.
At night Patience had another pain in her stomach this time it pierced so ha-rd that she could ha-rd ly move..
Phil!prushed her to University Teaching Hospital (UTH) and that same night Patience delivered a Bouncy baby girl. The doctor explained that the only logical explanation for her early delivery was because she was stressed and did not have enough rest.
Patience was so happy to hold her bundle of joy, she couldn’t st©p looking at her. She was so beautiful and it was alre-ady clear to tell that the baby was a ph0tocopy of her.
Mrs. Mutale had just come to see Patience after she received the message of her delivery.
“I rushed as fast as I could, at first I didn’t believe it. I am so glad you delivered safely.. God is good.. what happened?
“mum as I was leaving your house I bypas-sed the home that Phil!pand I once owned before he sold it, as I pas-sed by a woman parked at the gate and hooted. I recognised the woman, she is someone that once greeted me as I was having milkshake at the mall. She was very friendly to me and she told me about her wonderful husband and we joked around.” She said
Patience st©pped a bit as if trying to recall something..
“so that is what happened mum, a little while later as I drove past the house my stomach started aching and I rushed to the clinic…”
Patience explained the whole situation to her spiritual mum who then asked her to calm down.
“I think it just struck me that I have not fully accepted Phili-p’s decision to sell the house without my cons£nt”.. she said
Mrs. Mutale looked at Patience for a while as if she had something to say but she said nothing for a while. She then said:
“it is well my dear, pray on”..
The following day Patience took her bundle of joy home and Phil!pwas very supportive. They took turns taking care of the baby and Phil!pwas very good with the baby, he even advised Patience on what should and should not be done.
As days turned into weeks Phil-ips pent more and more time with Patience and the baby. However, this did not settle well with Tisa who now felt like Phil!pwas giving her divided attention. She called Phil!pcountless times and he often ignored her until she started threatening to take the twins to Phili-p’s house.
.
.
Hmm! I don’t know how this marriage will move forward without Tisa’s interruptions.
