Episode 91.
I and my friends didn’t talk for too long when we got to the h0tel, and I called up Chinwe after seeing her missed calls that we couldn’t pick up.
After the 20 minutes call we had, I settled to sleep after preparing the bags to take off tomorrow.
The next day we arrived early in the morning, and a very simple burial was done for Benson in his family compound.
After the burial I met with some youths in regards of my fathers house, since I was not with my phone I wanted doing a transfer so they can start, but I told them when I get back to Enugu I’ll do that.
My friends surprisingly s£nt 300,000 naira into their account,
‘That will do something right? Linda crush asked as I looked at him shocked.
“Yes, it will change the zincs and the wood and can paint the house, one of them replied.
“What about the doors? Uche asked.
“Sure with the windows, don’t worry the money is enough for the job and you’ll love it when you come back, they replied.
“Okay, don’t worry about my fathers grave, Just concentrate on the house, when I get back with my brothers we will put up the structure on their graves, I said.
“Anything you say, the youths said.
“Thank you so much, we have to go now, I said but they brou-ght out food stuffs for us which we gladly took, waved them bye and took off for Lagos.
“Thank you so much for all your help, I really appreciate, I said to my friends in the car.
“You’re welcome but it was fun sha, Linda crush said.
“Sheyyyy, it ended well anyway and I thank God for that, I said while Uche was just smiling at me.
“What? I asked him.
“Nothing o, so will you pas-s from here to Enugu? He asked.
“Should i? I asked back.
“It will be shorter nau abi Una been no finish your love pla-y? The funniest asked and i shook my head.
“Jealousy no go kill you for this life o, I replied him.
“Ohr come with us na, he said.
“Dear just go back to Enugu, we will come visit you anytime you’re going to the village next time, Uche said.
“You’re coming with me again? I asked.
“You no want make we come? Linda crush asked.
“No nau I didn’t expect it nah I’ll be so happy to have you again, I said hitting him and he laughed……………..
2 days later I decided to hit the restaurant to check on it, I missed it so much that I didn’t want to stay back at home talking with Linda and Chinwe.
I took my brothers with me who disturbe-d to follow me, and when I got there, the shout I heard almost pushed me down.
My girls hvgged me ti-ght while my customers began to quarrel me for staying too long in my travel.
I was only laughing and apologized to them and gave them each free bottles of drink,
“Hey Dora baby, welcome again! They cheered as I found my way to my office with my girls.
My office was just the way I left it and the restaurant was just lively the same, and I was so happy Treasure and the girls did a good job when I was away.
“So girls how are you all doing? I hope no problem when I was away? I asked them.
“No problem ma, we missed you, what happened to your line? They asked and I smiled.
“Its a long story but don’t worry everything is over now. So are you girls been paid or any complain? I asked again to be sure.
“Ma we get paid on time and madam Chinwe has been so good to us, there’s no problem at all, they replied.
“Oh that’s good to know, so I heard there have been contracts upon contracts, I said.
“Ma we even have one tomorrow, it has been from one contracts to another but its fun sha, they replied and i laughed.
“I’m back now and there will be more, I said and they laughed.
“Welcome back again ma, they said.
“Thank you, don’t worry tomorrow I’ll give you something when we are back from our job, so gone to the market yet? I asked.
“Yes yes, everything is prepared for tomorrow, they replied.
“Alright, and sorry, meet my junior brothers. i actually traveled to pick them, I said.
“ooinnn so handsome, welcome cuties, the girls said and I never knew when my brothers bec@m£ that shy.
I just laughed and dismissed them to continue with their work while I looked at them,
“So will you eat? I asked my brothers.
“Not yet sister but your place is big, Edward said.
“Aunty Chinwe took us to the other site and its very biggg! Samuel added and I smiled.
“I actually wanted to go there today, I said.
“Yes sister but not now, can I sit outside to watch the television? They asked.
“Yes sure and if you nee-d anything just ask, but plea-se don’t go outside, I replied and they ran out.
I heaved and took my sales book to see Treasure do¢v-mented every single sale that happened when i was away.
The previous day Chinwe gave me a hvge Sum of money that got me confused, and when i asked what it was for, she replied it’s my money for my contract p@rt.
The transparency of my sisters was just out of this world and I thanked God for having them in my life…………
A week after i c@m£ back, Linda decided to leave saying her vacation is over.
I felt like crying and persuaded her to stay a bit but she was just laughing at me saying she nee-d to put herself back in order.
I had to let her go and we dropped her off at the airport,
“We’ll miss you, we said hvgging her.
“Don’t miss me too much jare, thank you so much, it was fun meeting you girls, Linda said.
“We too, Chinwe said keeping a sad face and she laughed.
“You people should st©p na we can be seeing from time to time, Linda said.
“That’s right, leave us joor and catch your flight before Chinwe delays you. Bye, i said and she left.
I was getting in t©uçh with the youth in the village and they gave me positive results concerning the work there.
And over here Chinwe b©yfri£ndrebr@nded our project and made it more clas-sic.
Money was not a problem and soon we will be wra-pping it up.
Chinwe had a call on phone as we were on our way back to tell us our business logo and signboard designs are re-ady.
We got there and decided to see it before it gets delivered to us.
We saw few mistakes in the write-ups and corrected it,
“DORACHIN CULINARY AND BAKING SERVICES” was what i saw.
“Baking services? Who is baking? i asked Chinwe.
“Its Treasure na, no try am for that side o or didn’t we tell you? Chinwe replied.
“No nau, i replied.
“Sorry we must have forgot, she learnt that to spice up our business. Anything baking, pastry and anything you think of Treasure got you covered and she had 2 contracts alre-ady she delivered beautifully well, Chinwe replied and i was shouting happily.
“Look at my small Treasure oo, in fact she must buy me drink ahhh, I said.
“that one na small thing na, when we declare our place open you will see, Chinwe said.
“I hope she has a very good place in the building? I asked.
“Sure, when next we get there I’ll show you her space, its going to be beautiful and spacious for our baby, she replied and i was so happy with the progress of everything……………
2 weeks later the guys landed in Enugu to visit us in preparation to visit the village for what we wanted doing.
Chinwe didn’t want to but I f0rç£d her, to her she didn’t want to remember ugly memories.
“Honey you have to go, her b©yfri£ndsaid.
“Was my mom even buried Uche? Chinwe asked and Uche couldn’t reply.
“Where did they take her b©dy to? She asked crying and Uche hvgged her.
“Chinwe st©p why this now? He asked.
“Okay fine don’t come with us if you’ll be this way, sorry if i brou-ght back bad memories, I said to her.
“Don’t worry I’ll come along and I’ll be fine, she said.
“So I’ll stay alone? Treasure asked.
“Yes madam, you are the chairlady of all our business now, Chinwe replied.
“But this is nor fair na, and plea-se don’t stay too long, she said.
“Yes ma, we replied tickling her…………
The next day we arrived at the village and i couldn’t recognize my father’s house.
I screamed jumping on everyone I saw and felt like going mad, eventually i saw myself crying but i turned and saw my brothers quietly looking at my father grave and i went to them.
“Hey, have you said hello to daddy? I asked them but they looked at me and smiled.
“Daddy is smiling at us alre-ady, he just welcomed us, they replied and i looked at them confused.
“Can we go in? Uche asked and we went in.
I noticed the house was well arranged despite it was renovated.
I got into my mother room and smiled tou-ching the wall and my brothers ran in and jumped on the be-d while i shook my head and left to meet my friends in the sitting room with the youth.
My mouth was just filled with thanks to them and they diverted into Chinwe matter and disclosed to us where her mom was buried.
“Why didn’t you tell us this when we c@m£? Linda crush asked.
“No one knew about it o and it was an elderly man who met us few days ago to tell us he met her b©dy battered in the bush where he went for hunting, they replied.
“plea-se i beg you, can you take me to this man? I really nee-d to see him, Chinwe anxiously said.
“No problem we can go there now, the youths replied and i left my brothers to the care of the funniest who decided to stay back as we hurried down there………….
