Misss Glo won’t kill her..
I had started visiting Stanley in his house off campus,,one thing lead to another,he wanted to go inti-mate with me,but I told him I was a vir-gin,he was very surprised,that a lady almost 26 is still a v!rg!nin this our modern day society,for that reason,he decided he wasn’t going to t©uçh me until will become man and wife,,,
man and wife?,I Asked,,yess ,plea-se marry me,right there and then he proposed(without a ring,very funny right,and one of a kind),he was very happy when I said yes,we planned we were going to get married immediately after his service,he alre-ady had a job waiting for him,his family is well respected in the state..
The next day he bought a beautiful diamond ring for me.,.
Getting back home,miss Glo was the first to notice the ring,so this is what we s£nt you to school to do,she attacked,few months in school, you alre-ady find yourself a man,you are just a shameless prostitute,I believe you are even pregnant alre-ady, that’s why he has quic-kly engaged you.ru-bbish…
I didn’t answer her,I owe her no explanation,I was expecting Sandra to be happy for me that I have found myself a husband,which certainly means she would move in with me,I had become very attached to this little princess, but she wasn’t really happy…
I am engaged, I had said to her smiling,she just faked a smile,what is it Sandra, did madam beat you again,I had asked,,, no no,she didn’t,so why aren’t you happy about my engagement,,,
Aunty Ada,she called,how you sure uncle Stanley loves you and won’t hurt you,she had asked,,I could see the love and concern in her eyes,,,my darling,I replied,,I am sure Stanley won’t hurt me, he’s a nice young man,more over we aren’t getting married soon,that would be over a year’s time,when he’s done with his NYSC,so I still have time to get to know him,and also to know if we are compactable,okay aunty,I just want what’s best for you, because you deserve it,she said,, ohhhhhh don’t I have the best God daughter in the world,I hvgged her so ti-ghtly,thanks sweetie I am grateful,it was a wonderful time for us both,,least I forget,I and Stanley shall be going to see mama in the village tomorrow,we shall stay back home for about a week,since we are done with exams, aunty I can’t leave in this house alone with aunty Glo,she will literally kill me….I thought about it and decided to take her along,so I placed a call to Mr Sammy to allow me take Sandra to my villagewith me,he agreed and off we went to the village the next day….
Mama and Sandra liked each other,they gisted and talked as if they’ve known each other all their lives, although I had told mama so many things about Sandra but that was the first time she saw her in person…like wise Ada,she had heard alot about mama but hadn’t met her,,
Stanley found favour in the hands of mama,she loved him,and appreciated his union with her daughter,she asked him some vital questions, thankfully the guy was smart and answerd without missing words…
The few days in the village were wonderful,we visited exciting places like rivers,artgallery and so on,
Sandra really was having funny,she had never visited a village before,and she was enjoying herself….
We returned home,and madam didn’t say a word,for all she cared we do not exist….
I really wanted to leave,I was just so tired of seeing this lady and her face, but I had to wait for Mr Sammy,I didn’t want to discuss house issue on phone,he could be going throu-gh so much where he is,and I didn’t want to bother him since he was away from home,but from my calculations,I knew he was going to be around very soon.
Days on,we were alre-ady in my room, (Sandra and I),since we now share a room,as Sandra had refused to sleep alone,for fear of the unknown,when we heard shouting and rejoicing from the living room,,,we c@m£ out only to see Mr Sammy in the living room,we were very happy,we hvgged him, we had greatly missed him…he too was very happy to see us, he had bought so many goodies for everyone, Sandra and I had our share from the wonderful things available….
we went to be-d thankfully,madam didn’t spoil the fun nor ruin the day,as she didn’t tell any lie,at least not that day….
The next day ,we were woken up by the knock of Miss Glo on our door,come out here you shameless and good for nothing miscreants,she said ont©p of her voice,,I opened the door,and asked her what the problem was,Sammy wants to see you two,he has something important to tell you both,she laughed sarcastically,,,,
I alre-ady knew what the whole meeting and seeing was about,he wants to s£nd us out,madam would have probably say heaven and Earth to him all throu-gh the night,but I wasn’t bothered,I alre-ady have a place, Sandra was alre-ady up and she heard all that was said….
Sandra Mr Sammy wants to see both of us in the living room,,,I believe you know madam must have told him heaven and and Earth,let’s just get re-ady for anything,,,I believe we shall be leaving here today,, but don’t worry, Stanley alre-ady got me a rented ap@rtment….
Getting to the living room,we saw Mr Sammy seating on the sofa with anger written all over him,good morning sir,we greeted,but he didn’t even answer,he was just boiling of anger,we wondered what madam would have told him and the ess£nce of the meeting….

…….Sandra and I sat down close to each other,waiting and expecting the worse..madam Glo was busy smiling like one who had won a jackport,some persons can be so evil,what does this lady stands to gain,should Mr Sammy s£nd I and Sandra away,I wondered within me,, well God is faithful,and timely,he has giving me Stanley who is as good as Mr Sammy,if not better,,,I also wondered why good people do not always end up with spouses as good as they,imagine a kind hearted man like Sammy,having to live the rest of his life with a she devil like Gloria….
I am disappointed in you,Mr Sammy shouted in no one in p@rticular,,,I wanted to speak to defend myself,just then a knock was heard at the door,,,,,come in Sandra had said,who give you the right to say who comes in or go out of my home, Glo shouted at Sandra,but Sandra ignored and ran to open the door,just then Chike,the former gate keeper madam made Sammy sacked walked in looking so fresh and fine,and well dressed,,uncle Chike Sandra shouted,he hvgged her so ti-ghtly,how are you doing,he asked,,am fine,I wasn’t able to greet him the way I would have,it’s been a while, because of the tensed environment…
Ada Ada,how are you, Chike said with a smile,am fine tank you Chike,you are welcome…
What is this idiot doing in my house uninvited,miss Glo asked,but Chike gave her a disgusting look,,,what?,can you imagine, get out of my house,she shouted,get ouuuuuuu.
Keep quiet Gloria and sit down,mr Sammy shouted in so much anger interprupting miss Glo,I had never seen him that angry since I started living there,,,miss Glo was shocked to her bones,she didn’t see that coming,, Sammy you shouted at me in the pres£nce of our workers?,she asked calmly,,,are you better than any of them you disgusting witch,,,now this got me,I was so shocked,I didn’t see this coming,what is going on here,I was asking myself within,this meeting and shouting was supposed to be for I and Sandra,I don’t un-derstand anything,I kept saying to myself,,my che-st was beating fast like it was going to explode…..
Gloria kept mute,but the shocked was in her eyes,she didn’t want any more embarras-sment ,so silence was best,the joy and smiles she wore since had disappeared and bec@m£ sadness and disappointment.
Mr Sammy sat down,for some minutes he was trying to calm himself..,
When he had regained his stability,he started.,..
I lost the woman I loved so very much,the woman who believed in me,and loves me unconditionally to the cold hands of death, while she was trying to birth a child,I lost her and my baby,she was my world,the wife of my youth,I met her when I was very very young,but I knew she was the one for me,,,she was 23and I was 25,,very young,not withstaning we got married, because we knew what we both wanted,,,,my marriage to her was a blessing,she contributed immeasurably to my success today,she believed in me,and was my source of inspiration,we were just perfect,I couldn’t imagine my life without Sofia in it,,,(this time Mr Sammy was crying so profusely)but death,oh death, didn’t allow me live till old age with her,when she died,i wanted to die,I honestly wanted to die, because life had no meaning ,we were only together for six years,before the tragic death of my Sofia,I wish I have my way I would have followed her,but in all,I knew she wouldn’t want me dead,she wouldn’t want me to leave our only daughter alone In this wicked world,,,For my child I was willing to live and be strong for her,she bec@m£ the reason I live,the source of my joy,I could see my Sofia in her eyes, simply put she is MY JEWEL,,,,,I decided I wasn’t going to get married,but live each day taking care of my child,,,I have been everything to her,,,but so many persons wanted me to marry,,,I wondered if I was going to ever find love again,,,I also saw,my child was in nee-d of a mother figure,she never st©pped talking about her friends whose mother’s are still alive,all she ever wanted was a complete family…not for me ,but for her,I decided to open my heart to love again,just so my MY JEWEL could have a mother…..
When I found you Gloria,I thought you were the one,I saw how kind you were to me,the first month,but I didn’t know there was a beast in you,what are you talking about Sammy,first of all you didn’t tell me you had a daughter, secondly I could never hurt your child, because I love you,,,oh shut your mouth and spare me that bull$h!t,,if you can not love your maid who is motherless you can never love mine,I begged you to treat Sandra like yours and love her,but you bluntly told me,you can never love her nor treat her like yours, because she isn’t yours,,,,well for your information SANDRA IS MY CHILD,my flesh and blood,MY JEWEL and the source of my happiness…
Miss Glo who was standing sat down like someone who was pushed ,,on my path i was very shocked,I couldn’t say a word,I felt like I was going to die,or that I could have a heart attack,,,,,,
I never travelled,I have been around,I was only living in the next two compound,of course with a CCTV planted in the whole house,I saw all that has been going on,,,,I watch every morning as Ada takes my child to school,even though she can go herself,I watch how she defended my child from you every minute,and how motherly she had been to her,all she had put up ,just because she was trying to save my child from a beast like you,,,,you are evil to the core,heartless and wicked,I have never seen anyone like you my whole life,,,God forbide I marry someone like you….
Everything was sounding confusing to me,my head was beginning to think backwards,I don’t un-derstand what is going on, it’s all confusing,I spoke loud,,Sandra plea-se tell me am dreaming,and wake me up,,,I c@m£ to this house two weeks before Glo,so how come I didn’t know all these too….
Well,my family had alre-ady started disturbing me to take a wife,,,I wanted a woman that is going to love my child,so myself and Sandra alre-ady had this planned out,some days before we met,,,we just decided not to disclose our father and daughter relationsh!pto you,so that you won’t disclose it to the woman when I finally find her, that was the reason we kept it away from you,,Mr Sammy said,oh my God,this is serious,,,,,
What about Sandra’s Father,I mean,the father that c@m£ when she was sick,I asked,oh that was Dan’s brother, Dan my friend,that was his elder brother,and I have been living in his house,which is just two houses from here,,,,he would have been here,but he travelled,and of course,Chike the gate keeper,my immediate younger brother,,,my family are all in this with me, because they want what’s best for me and Sandra,, apparently my darling fiancée who I thought was the one,was no where close to been the one…
I am.very sorry,Sammy plea-se,I am very sorry,I didn’t know Sandra was your child, I swear,I would have loved and treated her nicely,,,, miss Glo pleaded in tears,plea-se,plea-se for give me,she was begging everyone and no one in p@rticular,, Gloria, plea-se get yourself and things out of my house,we are done,I don’t want to ever,ever set eyes on someone like you again,,,,,
Miss Glo c@m£ to Sandra,and held her,plea-se Sandra forgive me,plea-se I promise to love and treat you well, plea-se,,aunty you hate me,,,you don’t like me,,,the only one that likes me is aunty Ada, Sandra said.
Gloria turned to Mr Sammy, begging and crying in so much tears,she was full of regrets,,I am sorry Sammy,I will change and love her,,she said,,then your love would be conditional, because you would be loving her when am around and treat her wrongly when am out ,which you alre-ady do anyways,,plea-se Gloria leave now that am still able to control myself,, because when I think of all you have done,I feel like strangling you,I waited this long because my daughter wanted me to,she loved you even in your wickedness and she was hoping somehow you were going to change and love her,but no, wickedness is in your blood,,get out of here,,,Chike,plea-se help me take her out,,,,
Chike dragged her to their be-d room, you raised those hands of yours on me,,come on get your things and get out of here,you were acting like a God in a place you haven’t even been married into,,,get out before I hit you,,,,
Miss Glo c@m£ out with her things,crying and begging I and Sandra to help her beg mr Sammy,I was too shocked to speak, everything was still like a dream to me,Sandra didn’t even mind her,while Chike dragged her out,that was how miss Glo left Mr Sammy’s house in shame…..
