I freshened up and c@m£ down stairs for my lunch. I just wish to be alone for now.
Maybe I that will cool off my head a bit.
The maids alre-ady served on the table before I c@m£ so I joined and ate quietly without been chatty like always.
You know there will be a time in your life that will make you think dee-per and re-ad meanings to life .
Sometimes riches doesn’t matter but your happiness counts.
I always got everything I nee-ded but I am suffering from emotional breakthrou-gh.
” Are you okay Alexa?” Emma asked taking me out of my trance
” Y…yeah I am fine ”
” I noticed you’ve been quiet since you got back Alexa what’s the problem? Did you had a fight with Zach? ” mum asked while I shook my head and Annabel whispered to me to cheer up.
” No mum, we didn’t fight”
” But you seems to be in de-ep thought and you are not eating. You just took a spoonful Alexa ” she said in a concerned tone.
” Or is the migraine still disturbing you? I nee-d to call doctor Edward immediately plea-se” she said staring at me and I chuckled.
Mum is so concerned about her children.
” I am fine Mum, you worry too much ” I as-sured and she sighed.
I hope she’s convinced.
” Okay then, you will eat and I will call doctor Edward period!” She said with finality. Who nee-ds to explain to her that I am not sick?
” I will take her to the hospital rather Mum ” my head snapped at the door to see Zach .
I looked away immediatetly as our eyes met while he kept a genuine smile on his face.
” That will be perfect Son, Alexa is I’ll but doesn’t want any treatment. Just make sure she gets checked up ” mum said smiling wi-dely at him
” Trust me Mum, I will do that. She complained of headache to me a while ago too ” lies! When did I tell him that?
” I thought she dropped you off few hours ago?” Mum asked and my hand bec@m£ sweaty . Good radiance!
I lied to her and I am sure Zach won’t un-derstand.
” Oh yes she did but when I called and she didn’t pick up, I thought her sickness has gotten worse and so I decided to check up on her again ” ah! What a perfect lie!
I sighed in relief and Annabel sm-irked.
” Then join us for lunch and after then you will take her with you”
” Yes mum ” Good way to continue a day. I am trying to avoid him and the he took the empty sit beside me.
He served himself and sat down not without glancing my way.
He held my hand with his left hand un-der the table and I stared at him.
He smiled at me while I sighed. I tried removing my hand but his grip was way too stronger.
” Are you not eating again hunny?” Mum asked ….
” Uhmm,I think I am filled up Mum ” I said.
I can’t possibly tell her that her son in law prevented me from eating by holding my hand….
” That’s not true mum,she wants me to feed her ”
I choked on my spit as I heard that….
He isn’t serious is he? When the hell did I tell him that?
This guy is impossible! Gosh!
” Aww! How ro-mantic ” Emma cooed like a baby while I glanced at our hands linked together.
” Did we nee-d to leave first?” Annabel ch!pped in and my face turned red.
I just had to hide my face in embarras-sment and the blus-h while he just chuckled.
” Are you done ?” Mum asked Emma and Annabel…
” Yes Mum we are ” they replied simultaneously standing up.
Are they really going to leave us ?
” If he asks for forgiveness, forgive him and don’t be mad at him ” Annabel whispered to me.
” Take care love birds ” Emma yelled as mum smiled at us and left leaving us.
I knew he was staring at me but I can’t bring myself to look at him.
Wait hey! When did I become shy of him ?
” Hey ” he said re-leasing my hand
” H..hi ” I replied awkwardly
” Look at me Alexa ” he said raising my chin
I glanced at him and I heard him re-leased a breath.
” I know you might be mad at what Eric did to you in the past but trust me, I am different ”
” I might’ve been a d!¢khead at first but you changed me Alexa, you made me who I am today”

Goodness! Did he just confess his feelings for me? Annabel wasn’t wrong.
Zach loves me! He just freaking said that….
His gaze was glued to my face as I stared back at him with no word coming out of my mouth.
” I …I….I….love you Alexa”
I breathed out !
What do I say? I am out of words.
I don’t even know if I feel the same , I can’t give him a answer that might hurt him.
” Zach….”
” Don’t you think we should go out for a while pretending you went for check up? Because I know you are not sick ”
” And I will give you enough time to think about it. I will be okay with any answer from you, I will un-derstand ” …..

” Good morning Dad ” I greeted and sat opposite him….
He raised his head and stared at me like I just murdered someone.
I glanced at myself to see if there’s any bad thing on me but I didn’t see any .
” Did you just say good morning to me?” He asked.
Oh! Now I un-derstand the look.
” I know I never gave you respects as my father and I am sorry Dad for everything ” I apologized slightly bowing my head.
Mum joined us as they both were glancing at one another.
” Is this my Zach? ” Dad asked mum and stared confusedly at us .
” You changed, yes! I wasn’t wrong after all ”
” I am really sorry mum and Dad” I said again.
” Well, son, I am glad you realized your mistakes, you are forgiven. Everyone makes mistakes at a point in our lives” he said…
” I won’t have a high Blood pressure any more?” Mum asked and I chuckled.
I have really caused her a lot.
” But, how? You just decided to change? Just like that?” Dad asked ….
” Love is too powerful and can change anything, I hated Alexa but not anymore. She changed me to who I am today because of the love I realized I have for her”
” If I continue being rude, a killer and many others. She will never consider me as a man to settle down with ” I explained…
My mind drifted to her, I just hope she gives me a chance to prove how much I love her.
” Wow!” Mum and Dad enthused simultaneously.
” This was the very reason I created the deal, I inquired about her and I learnt that that lady was ICE and you were FIRE. I did that so that she could st©p you from burning the more but to quench you, it worked out ” Dad said smiling with full satisfaction.
” That’s why I love the girl ” .. mum added.
” Come give us a hvg and cheers to a peaceful family again ” ….

His words kept repla-ying in my head. Did he really mean them? He truly loves me and have changed because of that?
I have never been this confused all my life.
” I think I just spoke to you big sis” Emma said
” Uhhm, I am sorry. What did you say?” I said and she scoffed
” You seriously didn’t hear what I said? ” She asked and I shook my head.
” What’s wrong Alexa? You’ve not been yourself since three days now ”
I smiled and ruffled her hair.
” I am fine Emma, I am okay ”
” You are not fine , I can see you are worried. Is it about your upcoming wedding?”
” No Emma, I just have some things to sort out. That’s what I am worried about, nothing more”
” Are you sure ”
” Yes I am very sure little sister ”
” I am not little, I am twenty” she argued and I chuckled

” I noticed something sis ” she said smiling wi-dely..

I know how my sister is, she’s a good observant .
” Zach comes here more often now and I can’t seem to get the way he was staring at you off my head, it was so ro-mantic, oh my goodness!”
She said raising her hands in dramatization.
” Hey! Why will you be staring at him each time he visits?” I hit her pla-yfully.
I don’t actually knows if he stares at me that way. Emma can be funny. ‘ so ro-mantic ‘
” I was just looking out for my sister and I have come to un-derstand that he loves you big sis ”
My eyes almost popped out of it’s sockets. Really?
” Who told you that? ” I asked
” That’s because he’s changed, especially towards us and everyone, geez! He even bought me a br@nd new Apple phone product yesterday sis, I forgot to tell you ”
” I can remember the day we went for dinner at their house, I mistakenly spilled coffee on him. He almost choked me to death if not for the intervention of his father and now he apologized by buying me a phone ”
” Isn’t that amazing? I am sure he’s doing that because he loves you and he knows you will never love him with the type of life he was living. My brother in law is so in love”
She ranted non-st©p while I watched in amusement! She’s really talking about Zach this way? Wow!
He actually bought he a phone just to apologize to her? Goodness! I can’t believe my ears.
” Sis ” she called ma-king a puppy face while pouting. And she says she’s not a baby! .

” Zach loves you, all I want is to see you happy and I am sure he’s the right man for you. Love him back plea-se ”

I narrowed my eyes at her.
I have discussed this with Jane and Jenna. They also advised me to give him a chance.
Annabel said I should give him a chance.

I stared at her before I shook my head.
Did I love him? I am having a mixed emotions about this. I don’t know if I love him or not .
I don’t un-derstand how I feel about him yet…

I stared at her and opened my mouth to speak but no words c@m£ out.
” Oh my! Zach is here ” she jumped up.
I did the same. My heart began beating very fast, I am sure someone at the door can hear it.
Why am I suddenly becoming nervous…
” H… he’s here?” I stammered and she bur-st out laughing.
” I knew it, I know you love him. Look how nervous you look with just the announcement if his arrival , I just said that to know if you truly love him and you do sis. Do not fight the feelings, accept it and accept him”
She said and left my room.
I breathed out still feeling nervous, my hands turned sweaty.
Emma just tricked me to see my reaction and I did.
Maybe I should consider giving him a chance. ……
