Episode 42

Chelsea’s pov
I waited patiently for mom to come home so we’ll both talk about staying in the house.
The door opened and mom walked in. I sighed in relief and stood up to meet her.
“Welcome mom.” I smiled and took her bag from her. She just smiled and nodded her head.
“You’ve been waiting for me?” She asked as we made our way to the stairs. “Yes mom.” I shrugged.
We got to her room and entered.
“So mom, I wanted to have a discussion with you.” I twitched myl-ips and sat on her be-d while she sat on her dressing table, taking off her jewelleries.
“Okay? You can go on.” She nodded her head and turned to glance at me.
“So mom, about us leaving, are we still gonna leave? You know, dad alre-ady told them to leave and they wouldn’t stay here with us and they agreed. So, are we still leaving?” I asked and chewed on my bottoml-ip.
“You see Chels, I really want us to leave. To think your father has another child is disheartening but what can I do?
I know he has nothing to do with the woman but as long as there is a child, we’d have to start dealing with the fact that, he wouldn’t be paying all attention to us anymore.
We should get re-ady to start sharing his love with them.” Mom explained and exhaled de-eply.
“Yeah. But mom, shouldn’t we just forget about them and pretend as if nothing like this happened?” I asked.
“I’ll think about it. But for now, I don’t think I can pretend as if I don’t know your father has another child.” She said and stood up and headed to her closet.
“But mom, let’s not leave. Dad is sorry and I alre-ady forgave him and I want you also to forgive him.” I said and got up from her be-d.
“Alright.” She shrugged her shoulders while I sighed and walked out of her room.

Xavier’s mom pov
My prayers has finally been answered.
Delaney is alre-ady in love with my son and Xavier? I don’t really know yet but I I’m definitely sure that he likes her too.
I see the way he looks at her and I’ve caught them k!ss!ngbefore.
Now, it’s in my hands now to teach Delaney and tell her more about love.
She nee-ds to know the feelings she had for him is love.
She’s so naive and that makes me like her even more.
“So, Laney we’d be going out to the cinema.” I told her as we both sat on the couch watching a comedy show.
I had to explain to her how a TV works and what movies, soap operas, cartoon and other shows are.
She didn’t quite at first un-derstand why there were humans inside the TV but when I explained more about it to her, she un-derstood.
She doesn’t know even the littlest thing I thought she’d know. It wasn’t easy teaching her and ma-king her un-derstand, but she finally did un-derstand.
I’m glad she’s beginning to know and act more properly. She knows a lot of things and she’s quic-k trip learn and as-similate what she’s been taught.
“Huh? Cin…what?” She asked and crea-sed her eyebrows.
“It’s cinema and it’s a place where we see a movie.” I smiled.
“Oh! But why a cinema? I thought you told me about movies and we can watch them on TV.” She said.
Okay, she’s smart and intelligent too.
“Yeah, you’re correct Delaney but I want us to see a movie outside the house. There are gonna be people there too and it’s gonna be fun.
And when you watch the movie that’s gonna be shown, it’s gonna answer your thoughts and feelings about Xavier.
You’re gonna finally know what you feel for him is called.” I explained with a smile.
Her eyes lit up and she wore a hvge grin.
“Really?” She asked enthusiastically.
I nodded my head and smiled, “really.”
“Okay, then I’m going!” She squealed elatedly and jumped up happily.
I chuckled softly as I watched her wriggle her bu-tt in a funny way.
“You’re so funny Laney!” I said amidst laughter.
She sat down and held my hands in hers.
“Thank you mom, you’ve been the mother I never had and you’ve shown me affection like no one has ever shown me.
Thank you so much.” She said emotionally and I felt de-eply t©uçhed.
“You’re welcome.” I smiled and hvgged her. I k!$$£d her hair and patted her back.
She doesn’t know I’m more grateful to her. She doesn’t know what she has done for me without her knowing.
I bless the day I met her.

Kenny’s pov
I fidgeted nervously with the hem of my shi-t and bit myl-ips.
How am I supposed to say this?
How do I tell Jerry that I have another daughter I never knew of?
Will he be pissed at me?
Or will he accept her?
God! I’m so confused.
“Hun? You wanted to tell me something right? What is it?” His voice jo-lted me out of my reverie.
I breathed in and out and stared at him.
“Uhm… Hun, I hope that you won’t get mad at me for what I’m about to tell you.” I said with a faux smile.
“Okay?” He urged me.
“Promise me you won’t flare up angrily.” I said and stared hopefully at him.
“I promise I won’t flare up.” He said, looking confused.
I took in a sharp breathe and sat properly facing him.
“Recently, just few days ago, I just got to know that I have a daughter. I told you about what happened at where I c@m£ from and how I had a still birth but recently, I just found out that the child I thought was dead was alive all these years and she’s here on Earth.” I, explained.
I couldn’t maintain eye contact with him because I was scared of what his reaction might be.
“Really? Your supposed dead child didn’t die and she’s here on Earth?” He asked and his tone was sarcastic but it sounded shocked.
“Yes.” I nodded my head positively.
“Wow! What happened? How come she’s alive?” He asked.
“That’s what I don’t un-derstand. I don’t know how it happened but immediately I had put your birth, I pas-sed out and when I woke up, I was told that my child was dead.” I explained sadly.
“Wow!” He breathed out.
“Are you really sure that she’s your child?” He asked as if he had any doubt.
“Yes. I alre-ady carried out a DNA test and it c@m£ out positive.” I supplied.
“Okay. So, when am I getting to meet her?” He asked and that got me really speechless.
He isn’t mad at me?
“Are…you…been serious right now? Like, you aren’t mad at me?” I asked, finding it so ha-rd to believe that he’d say such.
He wants to meet her alre-ady?
“Why would I? I knew about the fact that you had a child that died and you didn’t get to meet. And now you telling me you found the child, I’m not mad.” He explained with a smile.
I beamed and k!$$£d him soundly on hisl-ips.
“Thank you hun. Well, I haven’t really told her about me being her mom, but I’ll talk to her very soon and I’ll bring her here to introduce her to you and Chelsea.” I said, brimful of smiles.
“Okay. Have you told Chelsea? Does she know about your daughter you found?” He asked and that left a loud ban-g on my head.
Oh my!
I really didn’t think about it.
What would be Chelsea’s reaction?
Will she even accept Delaney?
Oh my God!
Jerry alre-ady accepted Delaney even without getting to meet her. I don’t know how Delaney would feel about me being her mother and to think of Chelsea’s reaction when she finds out that she has another sister.
This is more complicated than I thought.

Chelsea’s pov
I got re-ady for school the next day and I was so surprised and speechless to see mom setting the dinning table.
She had an apron on and it looked like she had been cooking.
“Hey Chelsea, come have breakfast.” She beamed and gestured for me to seat. I stared curiously at her as she set the table and uncovered the food and the sweet smell wafted throu-gh my nose.
Oh my!
Did mom make this?
“C’mon Chelsea, why are you still standing? Hurry up and seat. Have breakfast so you won’t be late for school.” She smiled and walked closer to me. She tucked in a loose strand of my hair behind my ear and tung on my arm.
She brou-ght out a chair and made me seat on it. “I made you h0t chocolate tea, just the way you like it.” She smiled and placed my cutleries beside my plate of food.
I just sat, watching her do everything.
What happened? I can’t even remember the last time mom cooked breakfast or even set the dinning table. There are the maids and chefs to do it.
Mom’s a great cook but she ba-rely have time to cook and when she does, I enjoy every bit of it.
I picked up my cutleries and started eating.
Mom c@m£ back and placed a plate for dad before she pu-ll-ed off her apron and sat opposite me.
“Mom?” I called, chewing on my broccoli cheese.
“Yeah.” She answered and took her gaze to look at me.
“You cooked?” I asked.
She smiled and sipped gently from her glas-s of water.
“Yeah. Don’t worry baby, I’ll be ma-king breakfast from now.
It was so nice doing everything myself and I missed cooking too. And I thought it would be nice you and your father get to eat my meal.” She enthused and ate from her meatba-lls.
“That’s great mom. And speaking of dad, where is he?” I asked with a smile.
“He’d be down in few seconds.” She smiled while I nodded my head.
“Good morning dad.” I enthused as dad walked to the dinning room with a magazine in his hand.
“Morning princess.” He smiled and pe-cked my cheeks.
“Good morning hun.” Mom greeted with a shy smile. Dad smiled and k!$$£d her soundly on her cheeks.
“Morning hun.”
He sat beside mom and uncovered his plate.
“Wow! The sweet smell got me salivating alre-ady.” Dad smiled as he picked up his cutleries.
“That’s true dad.” I concurred.
“You should do this more often hun.” Dad win-ked at mom while she blu-shed.
I chuckled lightly as I watched them behave like the sweet couple I know them to be.
We ate our meal in silence with only the sound of our cutleries on the glas-s plate.
Surprisingly, my parents decided to drop me off at school before going to their place of work.
Oh my! I was damn elated.
The three of us sat at the back of the dad’s Lamborghini while the chaffeur drove us.
Mom and I chatted happily during the ride to school while dad gaze was fixed on his l@pt©p as he typed.
The drive to school was awesome and I wished it would be that way everyday.
I waved my parents goodbye and alighted from the car.
I couldn’t help but grin cheekily as I made my way into the school compound.

Xavier’s pov
“Can’t believe our exam is just three days from now.” I gro-an ed.
Rio laughed lightly and dropped his spoon and turned to look at me.
“You should he happy you know. Prom is just around the corner and besides, few weeks from now, we’d be done with highschool.” He smiled and drank his water.
“Yeah. I’m happy you know.” Delaney bu-tt in with a hvge grin on her face.
I win-ked at her while she smiled shyly.
We continued eating lunch and I noticed Chelsea had been quiet and smiling to herself.
She hadn’t said a word since we started eating lunch and it’s kinda weird.
“Chelsea, are you okay? You’ve been quiet and it’s so unlike you.” I said and stared at her.
She smiled and exhaled sharply.
“Okay guys, I have something to tell you.” She sighed and darted her eyes from me to Rio and then to Delaney.
“What is it?” We chorused together and laughed at the coincidence.
“Alicia is my sister – actually, half sister. We share same father.” She shrugged plainly.
“Really?” I asked shockingly.
“Yeah. Dad didn’t even know he had a child until his ex showed up and told him she didn’t terminate the child they had like she had told me.” She explained.
“Wow! This us unbelievable!” Rio g@sped in shock.
“Who would have thought that the poor, lowlife Alicia is actually the almighty Chelsea’s half sister.” Rio added and shook his head.
I hit him with the back of my spoon on his head while he whined childishly.
“So, did you and your mom accept her?” I asked after a brief silence.
“Yeah, sort of but dad insisted that they should leave the mansion and he promised to buy them a mansion and take care of their nee-ds too. And they agreed.” She said and resumed eating.
“Okay.”

Authoress Chi pov ✍️
Kenny met Delaney again because they had exchanged contacts.
They had met in a fancy restaurant and Xavier had accompanied Delaney but he sat on a different booth so he wouldn’t interrupt their conversations.
During their meals, Kenny started a conversation and finally, she summoned courage and told Delaney the truth about her (Kenny) being her daughter.
Delaney was shocked and speechless and she had hvgged Kenny. She had sobbe-d uncontrollably and she was thankful she finally got to know her mother.
Delaney was mad at her for abandoning her but after Kenny explained everything to her, she un-derstood and forgave her mother.
Kenny had taken Delaney home and introduced her to Jerry and Chelsea. Chelsea was shocked that she almost ran mad with rage.
She couldn’t believe that the two lowlifes she disliked happened to be her sisters.
She had two sisters!
She was enraged and she had looked herself inside her room. Delaney was shocked and speechless too.
But she wasn’t mad, instead she accepted the fact that Chelsea was her sister.
Kenny tried talking to Chelsea but she didn’t open up as she was still greatly angry.
First it was Alicia and then Delaney.
She was bittered as she never expected such.
But after few days, Kenny talked to Chelsea and she un-derstood. She accepted Delaney but she told her mother she didn’t want Delaney un-der the same roof as her and Delaney agreed because she didn’t want to leave Xavier’s house.
The matter was settled amicably.

Delaney’s pov
I was damn so happy and my heart wouldn’t st©p fluttering.
I finally un-derstood the feeling I had for Xavier. His mom made me un-derstand and the movie we saw also made me un-derstand better.
The feeling is love and it’s a great feeling.
I was happy I was finally able to know what I felt towards Xavier.
But the question is:
Does Xavier love me?
*
We wrote our exams and finally, we were done.
I was so happy because I was absolutely sure that I wrote perfectly well because Xavier had tuto-red me greatly.
I’m really thankful to me.
My mom and I went out to have fun with Chelsea. We went to the beach, the amusement park and so many other fun places.
Chelsea and I did a lot of catching up and I was glad that she was warming up to me.

Chelsea’s pov
I held my shopping bag in one hand and used the other hand to search for my car key in my bag.
Dad had bought me a car as a gift because I just rounded off my final highschool exams.
He promised to give me a better surprise when I finally get an admission to the university.
I have a driving license alre-ady and I’m happy that I’m allowed to drive.
My head was bent low and I didn’t know when I bu-mped into someone.
“Oh my, I’m sorry.” I apologized as I hurriedly picked up the person’s bottle water and keys that fell on the floor.
I took my gaze to look at the person and my breath seized for a second.
Wow! It was a very cute, handsome and well built guy and he had a smile on his face which made his dimples visible.
He’s almost ad handsome as Xavier but Xavier is still more handsome than he is but he’s still cute.
“I’m sorry.” I apologized again and gulped down nothing and stretched his water and keys to him.
As he took the from me, our hands brushed past each other and I felt a spark and a tingling s-en-sation.
I quic-kly re-moved my hands from him and flashed him a small smile.
“Thank you.”
Wow! His voice sounded very nice as it wasn’t too de-ep and loud. Just good.
I nodded my head and made to leave when he held my wrist gently.
I turned to look at him while he re-moved his hand on my wrist and smiled at me.
“I’m sorry if I’m bothering you. My name is Chris and I don’t know if you don’t mind, if I can have your number.
You’re pretty and I’ll like us to talk.” He smiled charmingly and my heart skipped a beat.
“Oh! Okay.” I smiled.
He gave me his phone while I typed my number in it.
“I’m Chelsea.” I smiled and handed back his phone to him.
“Thank you.” He smiled while I just nodded my head and walked away.
“You’re pretty Chelsea!” I heard his voice trail behind me and I couldn’t help but blus-h.
