Uncle Roberto: (worriedly) Doctor! Doctor! How is my daughter?!!!!
Dr Hector: (no hope) I’m really sorry sir…..Your daughter couldn’t make it…..She’s dead.
(Aunt Maria coll@pses on the floor)
Uncle Roberto: (teary) No, It can’t be…
Aunt Maria: (wailing) This can’t be true! My daughter!!!! JUANITA!!!! (She rolls on the floor)
Dr Hector: She died of severe food poisoning (pitiful) I’m really sorry…
(Aunt Maria stands up and gr-abs Dr Hector’s coat)
Aunt Maria: (crying) This is impossible! She can’t be dead! Doctor, Bring back my daughter! Bring Juanita back to life!!!!
Dr Hector: (calmly) Madam plea-se… (He struggles to pry off her f!ngersoff his coat but is unable to) I’m really sorry but crying wouldn’t bring her back, We tried all that we could to save her but her internal organs were alre-ady damaged….
Aunt Maria: (cries) That’s a lie!
(Uncle Roberto then frees Dr Hector from Aunt Maria’s grip)
Dr Hector: Excuse me….
(Dr Hector leaves them)
Aunt Maria: (sobs ha-rder) My daughter!!!!!
(Meanwhile)
(Cecilia is discharged from the hospital)
Celine: Thank you very much Dr Hector. We appreciate everything you’ve done for us.
Dr Hector: My plea-sure Miss. Besides I’m just doing my job…
(Dr Hector leaves them)
Celine: (looks at Cecilia’s face) Ugh, You look so hideous and revolting….Once a beauty, Now a a beast!
(Cecilia looks at her miserably)
Celine: (sighs) But I’m really sorry for this. I hope you’ve learnt your lesson?
(Cecilia remains silent)
Celine: But Cecilia, What you did was wrong. Even if someone is better than you, That’s an opportunity for you to work on yourself and improve as well. No one should be comfortable with being the best for too long! If I were you, I’d be friends with Morena instead of being her enemy.
Cecilia: Never! Never! I can never ever be friends with Morena! I despise that bastard so much!
Celine: (rolls her eyes) Here we go again…
Cecilia: Trust me, It isn’t over. I’ll get my revenge!

Celine: Look, Just don’t do anything stupid. Because if you get arrested, No one will bail you out!

(At El Primero Hospital, Mr Castillo is discharged)
Morena: Thank you so much Dr Carlos.
Dr Carlos: You’re welcome miss. You just nee-d to watch him constantly and make sure he doesn’t over work himself.
Morena: Okay.
Dr Carlos: (hands her a small paper) I also wrote down some prescriptions. Get them for him.
Morena: No problem Doctor…
(Dr Carlos leaves them)
Morena: (squints her eyes at the paper) I can’t even see what he wrote….Oh well, The pharmacist will un-derstand. (To Mr Castillo) How are you now, Dad?
Mr Castillo: I’m feel a LOT better. How about the bill?
Morena: (smiles) It has been taken care of. Let’s go home.
(Later)
(At the house)
Morena: Miguel! Welcome back. How was school today?
Miguel: It was magnificent. (He sees Mr Castillo and rushes to hvg him) Dad!
Mr Castillo: My son…
Miguel: (happy) You’re alright…
Morena: Yeah, He’ll be fine. (To Mr Castillo) Dad, I want you to have this… (gives him $7,000)
Mr Castillo: (collects it) Wow! Morena, Thank you very much. But this is too much, How will you manage?
Morena: Don’t worry Dad. I still have some money saved up. Besides, Your health is more important.

Miguel: So when are you going back?
Mr Castillo: (hits him gently) So you want her to go?

Morena: I’ll be going back next tomorrow. Many clients will be waiting for me.
Miguel: Atleast I’m glad you returned cause I really missed you. (hvgs her)

Nina: I really miss Morena.
Alicia: Me too babe. Even though I didn’t relate with her well, She was still fun to be around…
Andrew: When did she say she’ll be returning?
Nina: In two days time at least.
Alicia: But how bout Daniel? I haven’t seen him since the day Morena left. Did he follow her to Balacar?
Andrew: I don’t think so. I think it’s his day off or something.
Alicia: (sighs) Man, This place is awfully quiet.
Nina: That’s true, Cecilia isn’t here.
Alicia: (angrily) Don’t even talk bout that bit-ch!

(Just then, Cecilia enters the kitchen)
Nina: Talk of the devil…
Alicia: (laughs) bit-ch! Welcome back!
Nina: (mockingly) Awwnnn, They weren’t able to fix your face….
Rafael: (looks at her) Oh $h!t. Cecilia, What happened to your face and arms?
(Cecilia remains silent)
Nina: She tired to pour acid on Morena but her plan backfired.
(Cecilia looks at her)

Andrew: (laughs)
Nina: Since Cecilia has the heart of a beast, She now has the perfect face to match, I mean, Look at her!
Alicia: Exactly girl!
(Alicia gives Nina a high five)
Nina: Honestly Cecilia, You look so hideous. If I were you, I wouldn’t show my face to anyone!
Alicia: (To Cecilia) bit-ch, You lucky it ain’t me you tried that $h!t to, Or else, You’d have been a rotting corpse by now.
(Cecilia angrily hisses at all of them)
Alicia: (To Andrew) What the….Who the fv¢k did she just hiss at?
Andrew: (shrugs his shoulders) I’m not sure, I think it was you.

(Alicia re-moves her shoe and throws it at Cecilia’s disfigured face)
Cecilia: (covers her face) Ahhh! My eye!
(Cecilia runs out of the kitchen)
Alicia & Nina: (laughs at her)
Nina: (To Alicia) Nice aim.
Alicia: Thanks babe.
Rafael: I actually feel pity for her, But you guys should just leave her alone. I’m sure she has learnt her lesson.
Nina: For Cecilia, That’ll be impossible.
Rafael: Just leave her alone plea-se.

(Meanwhile)
(Cecilia goes to the meeting room)
Cecilia: (crying) Why is everyb©dy bent on frustrating my life. Daniel, Morena, Nina, Alicia…. (She looks at her disfigured face in the mirror) Ah! This is too much for me, What have I done wrong? (cries ha-rder)

(Next Morning)
(At Uncle Roberto’s house)
Juan: Good morning Dad.
Uncle Roberto: (teary) Good morning my son…
Juan: You’re crying…What’s the matter?
Uncle Roberto: (cleans his tears) Ohhh it’s nothing.
(Juan notices Aunt Maria sulking on the sofa)
Juan: (confused) Mom? Dad? What’s going on? Where’s Juanita?
Uncle Roberto: Juan. (hesitates) Juanita is dead.
Juan: (looks at him in confusion) Dead? How do you mean?
Uncle Roberto: Yesterday, Your mother poisoned the food she gave to Morena and Morena didn’t take the food but gave it to Juanita. Last night, Juanita complained of stomach ache and fainted. We rushed her to the hospital where she was confirmed dead by Doctor Hector.
(Juan stares at him in complete shock and is unable to say anything)
Uncle Roberto: (looks at Maria angrily) Maria, I can’t believe you could be so devilish! And I was so stupid to think that you could ever change! I wonder what I saw in you that made me marry you! How could you try to poison Morena? What has that poor girl ever done to you? What does she have that you don’t? You allowed hatred, envy and greed to consume you and now, Your daughter has paid the price!
(Aunt Maria remains silent as she keeps on crying)
Juan: (tears begin to flow freely down his cheeks) Mom…..Why?
(Just then, A knock is heard on the door and Uncle Roberto goes to open it and he sees three policemen)
Uncle Roberto: Good morning officers. How may I help you?
Policeman: Good morning sir. We’re here for Mrs Maria Roberto.
(Aunt Maria stands up from the sofa and goes to the door)
Aunt Maria: (raspy) Yes that’s me. What do you want?
Policeman: We have a warrant for your arrest for the attem-pted murder of Morena Castillo and the murder of Juanita Roberto.
Aunt Maria: What the…You can’t just come into my house and arrest me!
Policeman: We have every right to do so. And plea-se remain silent for anything you say or do will be used against you in the court of law.
(The policemen handcuffs her)
Aunt Maria: (crying) Sir plea-se I’m innocent! I’m genuinely innocent! (She looks at Uncle Roberto but he divert his gaze away from her) Roberto plea-se help me! (looks at Juan) My son! plea-se don’t let them take me away!
(The policemen take her out of the house)
Juan: Mom!
(Uncle Roberto is unable to utter any word as his wife is taken away)
(At Chuks restaurant)
(In Mr Rodriguez’s office)
Daniel: Good morning sir.
Mr Rodriguez: Good morning Daniel. Is there a problem?
Daniel: Sir, I c@m£ to drop my resignation letter.
Mr Rodriguez: Resignation letter? What’s the matter? Aren’t we paying you enough?
Daniel: No it’s not that sir. I’m leaving in search of greener pastures.
Mr Rodriguez: Well If that’s your wish…
Daniel: It is.
(Daniel drops his resignation letter on Mr Rodriguez’s desk)
Daniel: Thanks for everything.
(Daniel leaves his office and goes to meet his colleagues in the kitchen. Once he enters the kitchen, They start singing for him)

(Daniel gives Nina and Alicia $400 each)
Alicia: (smiles) Wow. Cool cash.
Nina: Awwnnn, Thank you very much.
Daniel: (smiles) Don’t mention…
Cecilia: (hisses) Good Riddance!
Nina: (looks at her) So Cecilia, You still haven’t learnt your lesson and changed your ways? Even after what happened to you, You still retain your caustic ton-gue?
Daniel: plea-se leave that frustrated girl alone. She alre-ady has a permanent lesson, On her face! Besides now’s a time for jubilee and not a time to engage with destitutes!
Alicia: (laughs)
Andrew: (mockingly) Eish.
(Cecilia shoots them an angry stare)
Nina: (To Daniel) Are you going now?
Daniel: Yeah.
Andrew: Ok. We’ll all esc-rt you.
(Andrew, Nina and Alicia esc-rts Daniel out of the restaurant)
(In Balacar)
Mr Castillo: Morena, Where’re you going?
Morena: To Diego’s house. I just want to pay him a visit, You know, To thank him for everything he’s done for me.
Mr Castillo: Ok no problem. Don’t be long.
Morena: Yes Dad.
(Morena goes to Diego’s house)
Morena: (rings the doorbell)
(Isabella opens the door)
Isabella: (excitedly) Morena! So nice to see you!
(Isabella hvgs Morena)
Morena: (suprised) Isabella?
Isabella: (frowns) Aren’t you going to greet me?
Morena: No. I won’t greet you so you won’t start insulting me like how you usually do.
Isabella: Come on, That was then. People change….
Morena: Okay then (greets her) Hey.
Isabella: (smiles) That’s better isn’t it? Come on in!
(Morena enters the house)
Morena: I c@m£ to see Diego.
Isabella: Ohhh, Diego went out but he’ll be home soon, So you can wait for him. And while you’re at it, I’ll make you a very delicious and sumptuous meal.
Morena: (smiles) Well alright.
