JEROMINO
I stood firmly as everyone stared at me.
“What’s that supposed to mean Jeromino? Were you just bluffing” Elias scoffed as he walked to me.
“I wasn’t bluffing, you heard me right. You have no right whatsoever to claim authority over my unborn child” I said seriously.
“Why are you trying to get on my nerves? You and I know so well that you don’t make out without protec-tion. You don’t make such mistakes so don’t come here and make the situation any worse” Elias said seriously as we both had a thun-derous glare.
“Too bad that night I forgot to use protec-tion because I was in hurry” I said seriously and Mr Bruno gave us both a heavy punch on our stomachs.
“How dare the both of you come here and spat garbage after all the things you did to my Fernanda. The both of you will regret doing that to Fernanda” Mr Bruno said angrily with his phone on his ears.
“Hello inspector, I found the culprit. He confessed himself, can you plea-se get over to the city hospital” He said over the phone then hung up.
“Mr Bruno I’m sorry for what I did to Fernanda. I honestly regret everything I did to her, it was never my intentions to hurt her that much. I’m a complete jĀ£rk which everyone knows but if you would give me a chance, I want to take full responsibility of my actions” I said slowly and he sl@pped me ha-rd on the face.
“Not even in your wildest dreams, you as-s-hole. I regret ever accepting you in our lives in the first place. You would never get a second chance from the Dante family and I will never allow you anywhere close to Fernanda or my grandchild so get lost from here before I get restricting orders from the court” He said angrily.
“Fernanda, I also have the right to care for my child. I’m not asking for a second chance to be with you. All I’m asking for is a chance with my unborn child” I said slowly and Fernanda glared at me.
“Jeromino just shut it. You’re absolutely out of your mind, you can’t claim to be the child’s father when you know perfectly well that it’s not true. Fernanda is carrying my child and it would be great if you accept it now” Elias said and I gr@bbĀ£d his collar.
“Don’t say $h!t like you’re some saint here. Don’t forget your crimes and you’re definitely rotting in Jail for doing that to Fernanda so get re-ady for that” I said seriously and he pushed me away.
“The both of you get lost from here. You’re both disgusting criminals so get out of my life and don’t ever show your faces again. If you think I’m keeping this child because of any of you then you’re so wrong. The next thing you will regret doing is staying here another minute. None of you have any right over my child because none of you is my baby’s father” Fernanda said seriously.
“What’s that supposed to mean Fernanda?” Elias and I asked curiously.
“You got the wrong information about my pregnancy because the father of my baby is right there. g@sper is the father of my unborn baby” She announced and everyone’s jaw dropped.
“Fernanda what did you just say?” Mr Bruno asked curiously.
“Fernanda this isn’t the situation whereby you crack jokes so don’t make things any worse just say the truth because I will be overwhelmed if you repeat the statement you just said” g@sper said with a blank expression on his face.
“What are you saying g@sper?” Leo asked confused.
“Fernanda do you think we can fall for such statement. It’s obvious you don’t want us in your life but that doesn’t mean you can ignore my rights as a father. It’s pretty obvious you’ve never sle-pt with him” Elias blurted and Fernanda smiled.
“Oh sorry to disappoint you but I sle-pt with g@sper before I even met you guys so I hope that settles it” She said defiantly.
“You did what?” Mr Bruno and Leo g@sped.
Fernanda must be carrying so much hate inside of her for her to tell such a lie because I’m actually her first, I’m the first man she has ever sle-pt with. I uttered in my head.
“Elias you confessed to all your crimes so I hope you say the truth when you get to the police station” Fernanda cut in sharply and Elias chuckled.
“I’m sorry Fernanda but I can’t go to jail yet because I haven’t seen my child yet. You can’t throw me in jail even though you want to. Yes I admitted to my crimes but I’m re-ady to pay for the compensation for all the damages I caused” Elias said seriously.
“You’re such an as-s-hole. My whole life I’ve never met anyone as horrible as yourself. Do you have idea how traumatized I was? Do you think any amount of money can cover up for the horrible thing you did to me? I will never forgive you Elias so don’t even think I’m letting you off the hook that easily” Fernanda said seriously.
“I can’t leave you like that Fernanda until you prove to me you’re not carrying my child” Elias said seriously.
“Fernanda I also want to be proved wrong. If I’m not proved otherwise, I’m sorry I can’t move on” I uttered.
“Let’s run a DNA test when the child is born so till then you will have to accept my care and attention for my child” I clarified and Fernanda glared at us.
“That’s if you don’t end up going to jail for commiting a crime” Mr Bruno said seriously.
“I’m sorry sir but I can’t go to jail until Fernanda put to be-d” Elias said defiantly.
“I hate the both of you with everything inside of me. I’ve never felt so much hate for anyone before. After I put to be-d, I will make the both of you disappear from my life” Fernanda said seriously then walked out leaving with her Dad and friends.
“I don’t want to see you jĀ£rks anywhere around Fernanda so stay clear” Mr Bruno threatened as he turned around.
How can I win back Fernanda’s trust? Jeromino how would you make your life so complicated by falling for her. You know so well Fernanda will never be yours again. I uttered in my head and Elias tapped my shoulders.
“Jeromino have you fallen for Fernanda?” Elias asked seriously.
“What if I say I fell for her before I messed up with her. Elias what are you trying to get her, it’s so unlike to get into a fight with me because of a woman. You’ve never been interested in Fernanda so why the sudden interest?” I asked seriously and he scoffed.
“I’m only interested because you’re suddenly becoming protective. I can’t let you have your way all the time. Fernanda is mine now and it would be lovely if you give up. You know how f0rƧĀ£ful I can be if I want something desperately so don’t test my patients” Elias threatened and I clenched my fist.
“If you’re planning on doing anything horrible to Fernanda then you better stĀ©p it because I won’t sit back and do nothing like I did before. I will shred you into pieces if you hurt her again” I forewarned.
“Jeromino I really love your threats because you always end up doing it but too bad it’s not working on me today so don’t try me, I can go dee-per than you can think” He threatened and I sm-irked.
“I will really love to see you try provoking me” I said glaring at him and he patted my shoulders.
“Relax Jeromino, let the best man win” Elias said with a malicious smile then he left for the elevator.

Days, weeks and months pas-ses by as Fernanda’s baby bu-mp bec@mĀ£ bigger and bigger. I watched her from afar as she went to the hospital for her monthly check ups. I supported her secretly with her exercise as she went throu-gh some uneasy pregnancy symptoms.
“I’m sorry Fernanda, you’re going throu-gh this because of our mistake. If it’s going to take me a lifetime to plead for your forgiveness then I’m going to do it willingly” I uttered staring at her ph0tos sĀ£nt to me by my secret guard.
I hired a secret guard for Fernanda who helps her do things and she doesn’t see it as a big deal. My guard protected her, ma-king perfect sure that no harm c@mĀ£ her way as I traveled back to Switzerland and then Turkey for some commercial sh0ts.
DAY OF DELIVERY….
I flied back to Mexico the day Fernanda put to be-d. Fernanda gave birth to a beautiful daughter.
I didn’t show up immediately so I don’t ruin Fernanda and her family’s happy moments but Elias got there swiftly with so many bouquets of flowers.
“What a show off!” I sneered as I watched everything from afar.
Later at night that day I went to visit Fernanda but she was fast asleep and the baby was crying.
“Come on baby girl, don’t wake your mummy” I whispered as I carried her and that instant she stĀ©pped crying as she stared at me with her lovely eyes just like Fernanda’s.
“You’re very pretty. You look just like your mother” I smiled and she smiled back at me.
“How dare you l@yyour hands on my baby?” Fernanda shouted as she woke up then she snatched the baby off my hands.
“Get out and don’t ever come back here because we all know who the father is” She said seriously.
“What do you mean Fernanda?”
“Elias is the father” She said slowly and I walked backwards in shock.

CHAPTER 16 Ā°Ā°Ā°
FERNANDA
I have no idea why I’m feeling this way, why do I feel upset? I waited months to see Jeromino again. Why was I waiting? Why did I miss him still knowing what he did to me was terrible? Why did I wish for my baby to be his? Why am I having struggles accepting who the father of my child is?
I opened my eyes slowly as I heard Jeromino’s voice. For no reason, I felt light-hearted when I saw him but I have to be strong for myself, he did such a horrible thing to me so he doesn’t deserve my concern or forgiveness. I’ve not forgiven Elias either but I’ve gotten a better way to revenge for what he did to me.
FLASHBACK*** Two days back before I put to be-d.
“Do you have any idea why Jeromino and I know each other?” Elias asked and I frowned.
“Do I look like I care about that. I don’t give a damn about that so stĀ©p trying to be all chatty with me. I’m in so much pain alre-ady so don’t add to it” I said seriously.
“It was all planned. It’s only normal in our group to use and dump girls, you’re not the first girl Jeromino is doing such with so don’t even think about accepting him as the father of your child because he will do it again and then dump you. I’m not feeling insecure about him because I’m pretty sure you’re carrying my child” Elias said with a smile.
“That means you’re friends with Jeromino?” I asked glaring at him.
“We were friends but not any more, ever since I crossed path with you I’ve decided to stĀ©p hanging out with people that will ruin my image. Fernanda you’ve become an important person in my life and I’m re-ady to pay for everything I did to you by offering all my time and attention to my child” Elias said slowly.
I’m not a fool to fall for that again. I said in my head as I glared at Elias.
“You will definitely pay for your crimes, you know that right?” I said coldly and he smiled.
“Let’s not talk about that Fernanda. You’re not in the position to worry for others, just concentrate on the baby and yourself for time being” He sm-irked.
FLASHBACK ENDS…
“How dare you l@yyour hands on my baby?” I shouted as I stood up then I snatched my baby from his hands.
“Get out and don’t ever come back here because we all know who the father is” I said seriously as I swallowed ha-rd .
“What do you mean Fernanda?”
“Elias is the father” I said slowly and he walked backwards in shock.
“What did you just say? When was the DNA test taken? You just gave birth today” Jeromino asked trying to catch his breathe.
“I’m pretty sure, I was Krystal clear so I see no reason why you’re still standing there. The DNA test was taken early hours of today and the results c@mĀ£ out quic-kly because we’re desperate so can you Leave now and get out of my life” I said seriously hvgging my baby as she suddenly started crying again.
“Let me help you with that, I think I can make her stĀ©p crying” Jeromino said worriedly staring at my baby.
Why’s he still willing to help after what I said to him? Jeromino are you still trying to pl@ynice?
“StĀ©p pretending to be nice. Your help isn’t nee-ded here so get out, the DNA result proved everything. We have no connection, nothing happened between the two of us. From today we’re strangers” I said seriously looking away and he stared at me for awhile.
“I wish happiness to both you and your beautiful daughter. I’m so sorry for what I did to you Fernanda and I’m hoping you find it in your heart to forgive me. I have no idea if we will ever cross paths again but I hope when we do, we should meet in a good fate” Jeromino said remorseful then went out of my room.
I went throu-gh so much alre-ady but why do I still feel this way towards you? Does this mean I still have feelings for you?
Next morning, Abuela and Dad c@mĀ£ to the hospital.
“Fernanda what do you plan on doing? Elias is using the baby as an excuse not to go to jail. He did you wrong and you stayed quiet without fighting back” Dad said seriously.
“Fernanda dear, I think we’ve had enough of all this bad luck. You can’t be f0rƧĀ£d to share your child with the one who did you wrong. I can’t believe Elias is the father. We can still fight him in the court. He has no right over your child” Abuela suggested and I smiled.
“Abuela, Dad I’ve decided to let everything go. I don’t want to keep on fighting for things that reminds me of the painful memories I had of that night. I don’t want to keep on duelling on the past. Elias loves our baby so much and I don’t see anything wrong with him getting a little approval ofĆ my baby” I explained and Abuela frowned.
“I’ve never expected you to think that way. I will never accept Elias as the father of my great granddaughter. He’s such a despicable man” Abuela cursed and just then Elias walked in.
“Good morning Abuela, good morning Mr Bruno. Fernanda how are you doing with the baby?” Elias asked smiling wi-dely as he c@mĀ£ in.
“Fernanda I will take my leave now. I really don’t plan on getting upset so early in the morning, I will be back in few hours time” Abuela said seriously.
“Abuela plea-se stay a little longer, I want you here” I said slowly and she hvgged me.
“Bruno is here with you so don’t worry okay” She said patting my back then she left.
“Elias you’re not allowed to come over here whenever you like, you should go with the schedule we created. I don’t like the idea of my family leaving whenever you’re around. Everyone is upset with you, they’re all keeping up with you because I made them do so” I said seriously.
“I’m sorry Fernanda, I’m sorry for putting you in an up ti-ght situation. I’m pretty sure we will get throu-gh this” Elias said slowly and I frowned.
It really annoys me when those who commit a crime, sneak their way out of getting punished. I said in my head glaring at Elias as he carried my baby.
“It’s time for her to get some nap so l@yher down gently” Dad said seriously with his eyes fixed on Elias.
“I just hate him so much” Dad gro-an ed as he looked away.
JEROMINO
“Buddy what’s up? You’ve been drinking for days. What’s wrong? Did something happen when you traveled to Mexico?” Elvis asked curiously and I dropped the glas-s of wine in my hand on the table.
“Fernanda said Elias is the father of her baby” I said drun!kenly and Elvis sighed frustratedly.
“Are you still on that tĀ©pic? Come on Jeromino, it’s so unlike to be attached to such things. Are you doing this because Elias won this time or because you’ve fallen ha-rd for Fernanda?” He asked sarcastically and I hissed.
“Cam we not talk about that right now, I’m really not in the mood for that” I said sluggishly.
“Mino the only way you can win this fight is if you stĀ©p lying to yourself. Yes Elias won by having the child as his but he’s never going to win Fernanda over. Fernanda isn’t that stupid to fall for the guy who R@pĀ£d her. Do you have any idea how much she’s suffering just looking at Elias?” Elvis said sarcastically and I sat up right.
“You’re right Elvis but what difference does my situation make. We both used and dumped her, Elias R@pĀ£d her to satisfy his de-sires and I sle-pt with her to show off. I’m the bigger jĀ£rk here, anyways that’s not the case here. I just find it ha-rd accepting the fact that Elias is the father. It’s so impossible to get a DNA test done in one day” I said suspiciously.
“You know so well that Elias got dubious ways to get things done in his favor and it’s also possible to get the DNA test done in one day”
“But I felt a connection when I carried her in my arms, for the first time I felt peaceful at the inside when holding a child. I maybe a total jĀ£rk but I know how to describe my feelings” I said slowly and Elvis chuckled.
“Don’t tell me you’re planning on going back to Mexico to make trouble just because of your mere confused feeling. Mino get your s-en-ses together, Fernanda is never going to accept you even though you beg on your knees” Elvis blurted and I frowned.
“It depends on how I do it. Excuse me” I said as I stood up and picked my phone putting a call across to Alvaro.
“Alvaro I want an original copy of the DNA result of Fernanda’s baby and I want you to set up an appointment for me with Fernanda’s doctor” I said over the phone.
“How do you expect me to get my hands on the DNA result? That’s a bit ha-rd Jeromino” Alvaro complained.
“I know you have your ways. I will be flying back to Mexico tonight” I informed then hung up.
“Jeromino you’re trying to put up a fight with Elias and tonight will be a stormy one, why not postpone your trip till tomorrow” Elvis said sarcastically.
“I’m not known for losing so I’m leaving tonight” I uttered seriously as I held my phone ti-ght.
AUTHOR’S POV
Jeromino is on the flight heading to Mexico when the danger alarm rang.
“What’s going on?” Jeromino g@sped.
“Pas-sĀ£ngers put on your seatbelt and sit still. Do not panick” The air hostess announced but suddenly their was a thun-der, causing some engines to lose control.

~ “It’s so unfortunate how we lost precious lives on an airplane heading to Mexico city. Too bad some pas-sĀ£nger has gone missing in the air crash and Mr Jeromino Guzman is among the missing pas-sĀ£ngers” ~
“Jeromino is what?” Fernanda g@sped in shock with her eyes on the TV.
