Bethel’s Pov:
I swear, I never thought I could be this nervous in my entire life.
I felt my heart thumping as I stared into his face. Oh, my gee! Is he this handsome?
I mean, this was the first time I was having such a close view of his face and oh, my! He looks heavenly gorgeous – far more than he appeared on TV and magazines.
Gosh! No wonder all the ladies were crazy over him.
He had this dark pretty – S-xy eyes and little pink soft lookingl-ips and the gold ring on his ear glittered.
He was putting on a red long sleeve, but the little p@rt of his hand that I saw was covered in tattoos.
Wow! So Ryan Winthrop’s for real?
We kept staring at each other and I actually forgot he asked a question. What?
I mean, I can’t answer such question.
I quic-kly turned back to the running water and turned it off. I almost forgot about it.
gosh!
I’m really sorry nervous right now.
I took my bag from the table without looking into the mirror and turned around to leave. Ryan was still standing there, staring at me.
I wonder what he must be thinking.
I swallowed ha-rd and started walking to the exit, approaching where Ryan was. I fixed my gaze on the floor as I didn’t want to stare at him
But when I got to where he was, unfortunately and stupidly, my bag fell from my hand to the floor next to his feet, but I couldn’t tell if it t©uçhed him or not.
Oh, my God!
Bethel!
“Geez! Are you blind?” He muttered.
“I’m sorry” I said immediately as I dropped to a crouch to pick them up.
Hold on; did he just say I was blind? What the heck? Do I look blind to him?
I put the items that had fallen off back in the bag and stood up.
My eyes ran into his in a flash as we stood close to each other.
Then, I started walking away but suddenly st©pped and turned back to look at him.
“And just so you know, I’m not actually blind” I told him and walked away.
Geez! I couldn’t let that slide.
I walked out the entrance and the guards by the door stared at me like I was some sort of movie
I went back to my seat and took in a de-ep breath as I sat.
Gosh! I still can’t believe the encounter I just had with the world’s famous Ryan. It’s incredible.
I remembered his pretty dark eyes as they stared into mine. His soft pinkl-ips as they spoke to me:
“Are you blind?”
Why did he have to ask me such question?.maybe the reply I gave suited him best.
I exhaled and tucked my hair behind my ear. The whole image kept repla-ying in my head.
Gosh! I nee-d to st©p this.
I looked around and saw him walking out of the room, tracing his steps.
He walked so stylishly like a king and I kept staring at him until he got to a table where three other boys sat.
Oh! I know one of the boys from there.
Of course! He was also an artiste and his stage name was masked.
Wow!
Ryan sat with them and took a drink from the table and they started communicating but Ryan wasn’t talking much. One of the boys from there was actually smoking.
Fortunately, where they were seated was far from me and there was no way Ryan could see me.
There was still a bottle of wine on my table and I decanted some into a glas-s cu-p and drank from it. Just then, a young looking boy c@m£ up and sat next to me.
What the heck?
“Hi” he said with a smile as he stared into my face.
I scoffed and looked away.
“Hey wats up?” He said again and I shook my head.
“I’m fine. Do I look like someone with a problem?” I asked and he laughed.
“Wow! Chill okay? By the way, I’m Frank and you?” He said as he stretched out his hand for a handshake.
“I don’t think my name is of any concern to you’ I replied with a derogatory stare, ignoring the handshake.
Well, I get a lot of these lately and I’m tryna learn how to handle them.
He laughed again and brou-ght down his hand.
“Okay then. I guess I’ll just call you pretty. So, how’re you?” He asked and I scoffed.
“Isn’t that the same thing as wats up?” I replied and he chuckled.
“Wow! I must say you’re h0t. Keep it cool okay? Anyway, I just saw you from a distance and really really admired you. Can we be friends?”
I was looking ahead and saw mum and Ryan’s mum walking together.
Hah! Finally they’re done with whatever it is they’ve been doing. It’s been ages now.
“Hey pretty” boy next to me called.
“Hi. I’m interested, okay? So just let me be” I replied tiredly and looked at mum.
Ryan’s mum st©pped at Ryan’s table while mum started proceeding to where I was. She’d probably sp©tted me alre-ady.
“Okay. Can I have your digits?” The annoying j£rk said and I rolled my eyes.
Just wait till my mum gets here.
I looked at Ryan’s mum as she took him from the table and stood at a distance with him, talking
Was she telling him? I wonder if she knows he’s a de-ep soa-ked pla-yer.
She used her palm to brush his hair as she talked to him, acting like he was a baby.
Hm. Guess the rumours are true. She really loves and pampers him a lot.
“Hey” the boy beside me called and just then, mum arrived at our table.
“Mum” I called, kinda sounding relived.
She remained standing and looked at the boy.
“And who re you?” She asked and I turned to look at him.
The expression on his face was funny.
“Uh…no one ma’am” he replied and quic-kly left.
Geez!
Mum glared at him as he left and took her eyes back to me.
“Come with me, Bethel; let’s say hi to Ryan” she said and started walking away and I didn’t realise I was almost laughing.
Hold on; is it funny? I mean, what did she just say? Say hi to who???
“Mum?’ I called but she didn’t turn to look at me.
Oh, my God! What the heck? Why does she want me to see Ryan? I mean; like what the heck?
Ryan!!!
She was alre-ady far from me and I knew I’d be in trouble if I didn’t go along with her.
I nervously gr@bb£d my bag from the table and started scuttling after her.
I caught up with her and we got to where Ryan was.
Oh, my God! I’m meeting Ryan again.
Holy Christ!
You might probably be wondering why I’m so nervous. But trust me, when you get to meet a god-like celebrity, you’ll un-derstand how it feels.
“Bethel” Ryan’s mum called as we stood in front of them.
Ryan was now focusing his eyes on me.
“Hey Ryan” mum called with a light smile.
“Good evening ma’am” he greeted her and took his eyes from me.
“Um…Ryan, I want you to meet Bethel. And Bethel, plea-se meet my son” his mum said happily and I bec@m£ really really nervous.
I couldn’t help but fiddle with my bag and wondered if I were to say hi to him. But we’ve met alre-ady.
He didn’t say a word either and his mum looked at him and looked at his hand and I un-derstood she was tryna tell him to shake me. But he ignored.
“Yeah…We’ve met before” was what he could say as he inser-ted his both hands into his trou-ser pockets.
“Really? You’ve met before?” His mum asked and looked at me, surprised.
“Where?”
“in an inconvenient place” he replied with a scoff and just then, a call c@m£ into his phone and he brou-ght it out from his back pocket.
Wow! You wouldn’t believe the type of phone he was holding.
“Guess we’re done here? Excuse me” he said brusquely and walked away.
Wow!
His mum turned back to look at him and with the look on her face, it was obvious she was abashed by her son’s attitude.
“Um…hope you don’t mind, Bethel? You should know how boys are sometimes” she said and I just smiled.
“Okay Becky, we’ll be on our way now’ mum said
“Oh! Of course. See you tomorrow” she replied and they gave each other a p@rting hvg and I left with mum.
I followed mum to the car and she took off .
“Have you met with Ryan before?” She asked as we got on the road
“Yeah – in the restroom” I replied with an eye roll and she flin-ched.
“Restroom?” She asked and I nodded.
“How? When?”
“Well, it was today at the p@rty. I had been pressed and nee-ded to make use of the restroom and coincidentally, when I got there, I found him there as well.” I replied.
“Did you guys speak to each other?” She asked.
“Well…not really. My bag had mistakenly sli-pped from my hand and almost hit him and he asked if I was blind” I replied and she scoffed.
“Wow! Really?” She asked and I just shrugged
She didn’t say any other thing throu-ghout the drive until we got home.
I ate and showered and la-id on the be-d to sleep.

Episode 10
Roxanne’s Pov:
When I woke up the next morning, I couldn’t find mum at home as she had alre-ady left for work. Perfect!
I followed my normal morning routine – took my bath, ate and left for school.
I got to clas-s and met Nicole there alre-ady. I wonder If I can ever beat her to it. She comes too early.
“Hello princess’ she tea-sed as I sat next to her.
“Hi” I replied with an eye roll and she laughed.
“I’ve been waiting the entire day for you, B. So tell me, how was…”
“You wouldn’t believe what happened” I caught her off, knowing what she wanted to say.
Her eyes beamed immediately.
“Oh, my gee! Bethel, spill it out alre-ady” she said curiously and I smiled.
“Well, first of all, I caught him ma-king out with a lady in the restroom” I said and she g@sped and dilated her eyes.
“What???” She skrie-ked.
“ma-king out…you mean they were having s3x?”
“What else does ma-king out mean?” I asked and she g@sped again.
“Oh, my God, Bethel! Are you kidding me? And…hold on; did you say you caught them? Like…you really?”
“Gosh! Of course not. I only heard them m0@n ing from the room.” I replied irritable and she sighed
“Better. You’re too young to see such view” she said and I glared at her and she laughed.
“But this is really incredible. Hold on, did he see you?” She asked.
“Yeah…when he was done with the lady. I had wee and Was washing my hands when he c@m£ up and stood behind me” I replied and she g@sped and held my hand.
“Oh, my God! You saw him? He…He saw you?” She bu-mbled and I huffed and re-leased my hand from hers.
‘St©p being so dramatic, Nicole. I mean, he asked why I was there because he had ordered the guards at the entrance not to let anyone in. Gosh! That guy’s so rude. I felt like sma-cking him in the face. You won’t believe what he told me. My bag had sli-pped from my hand and almost hit him and he asked if I was blind.” I said laothfully and she g@sped.
“Oh, my gosh! He did?” She skrie-ked.
“Yes. And it was so annoying. Well, I told him I wasn’t blind”.
“What? Bethel, you did? You spoke back at him?”
“Of course. He’s lucky I even apologised in the first place. Seriously Nicole, he’s too rude and grumpy. I wonder how his friends cope with him.
“Mum had taken me later on to say yo hi to him when we were about leaving and you wouldn’t believe the way he snubbe-d me. He completely lacks manners. Even his mum had prodded hin to give me a handshake, but he ignored her. He’s such a spoilt dumb-as-s br@t” I said angrily and Nicole started laughing.
“Oh, my God! Bethel, you’re so funny. You’re acting like the whole thing happened this morning. I can’t you’re talking about the world’s famous Ryan in such manner.
“Anyway, I’ve always heard of how rude he was. I just never knew It was to this extent. But tell me; how does he look? I mean, is he really as cute as he looks on TV and on stage?’ She asked and I rolled my eyes.
“Well, when it comes to good looks; he’s the t©p. I don’t think I’ve seen someone as cute as he is” I replied and she skrie-ked and covered her mouth with her palm.
“Oh, Bethel! You’re ma-king me get goose bu-mps. I can’t imagine it”
“Yeah, he’s handsome and all that; but his looks is the exact opposite of his attitude. No wonder they say beauty lies in the heart”.

The ABC girls didn’t show up in school that day and it kind of puzzled me. Well, it was better that way.
We received the morning clas-ses and during lunch time, Nicole and I ate together in the cafe and after a few more hours, the school finally c@m£ to a close.
“How’s Jackson?” Nicole suddenly asked as we walked out together.
I sighed and tucked my hair behind my ear.
“He’s fine” I said perfunctorily.
I nee-d to get re-ady for my d@t£ with him.
“Is everything okay with you guys? I mean, you sound…”
“Im fine Nicole. I know you’re just trying to look for blames to put on hold’ I cut her off and she chuckled.
“Well, you’re wrong Bethel. I’m just being concerned. I don’t want my best friend to fall into the wrong hands” she said and I just rolled my eyes.
“Hold on; isn’t that your mum?” She asked and I st©pped walking as I also caught a sight of her.
What? Mum? What the hell’s she doing here?
She was standing by her black jeep, looking around and finally, she saw me and started walking towards me.
What’s going on? What’s she doing here?
“Wow! I must admit bethel; this mother of yours is really something else. She’s so pretty and h0t” Nicole said but none of it interested me as just kept pondering over mum’s unheralded appearance in my school.
“Good evening ma’am” Nocole greeted with a little bow when she got to where we were.
“Good evening” mum replied and turned to me.
“How’re you Bethel?” She asked with a smile, getting me more confused.
“Uh…I’m…I’m fine. Good evening’ I stuttered helplessly.
“Come on; I c@m£ to pick you up” she said and held my hand and started walking with me to the car.
I turned and looked at Nicole and she just shrugged and waved at me.
“Hold on, mum; did you just say you c@m£ to pick me up from school?” I asked as we both sat next to each other in the jeep..
She chuckled. I can’t remember the last time she ever did something like that – coming to pick me up from school.
I mean – mum???
“I’ve got great news, Bethel; great news! And I just couldn’t wait for you to get home before spilling it out’ she said excitedly and I just watched in mere bewilderment
“Wh…What news?” I asked curiously and she laughed.
“Wait till we get home” she replied and scorched off.

So many thoughts kept dancing throu-gh my head as I thought about mum’s uncanny attitude. What news could she possibly have to tell me that’d make her come all the way to school to pick me up? I can’t believe she even laughed. I mean, I can’t remember the last time mum laughed with me.
She was so excited during the drive and it only increa-sed my curiosity.
Finally; we got home and I felt so relived cause I couldn’t wait to hear the “great news’
We stepped down from the car and went into the sitting room together and I sat down and awaited her to speak up.
“Bethel” she called ecstatically as she sat in front of me.
“I’m listening, mum”.
She paused and giggled.
“Do you remember few days ago when I had told you I was working on something important?” She asked and I tried to think.
Of course.
“Y…Yeah, I do” I replied and she continued.
“Well, guess what? It’s finally been accomplished. And guess what it is” she enthused and I scoffed.
“What is it; mum?’ I asked; not interested in guessing.
“Come on; just guess” she said but I kept mute and she laughed.
Oh, God! I can’t believe mum’s actually the one laughing
“Okay fine; I’ll tell you. Besides, I’m sure you won’t be able to guess it right” she paused and cleared her throat a bit.
“This Saturday” she said.
“You’ll be getting married to Ryan”.
