Mr and Mrs Brown were well dressed sitting in the living room while Edith was at the kitchen preparing the dinner when the door bell rang…. Mrs Brown opened the door for Charles and Annabel to enter…. She was welcomed to the house by her mother-in-law to be…..
Mrs Brown called Edith to come and see the person she has being longing to see…. Annabel who recognized Mrs Brown was uncomfortable alre-ady until when Edith c@m£ which wors£n it….
On seeing Annabel as her brother’s fiancée she fainted immediately while Annabel was very uncomfortable….. Mr and Mrs Brown were confused same as Charles…..
Edith was rushed to the hospital, nob©dy knew what was wrong with her. Charles pleaded with Annabel for the inconvenience, he took her to her house. She was so confused and speechless “baby I’m so sorry over what happened, my sister is suffering from marital trauma and I guess that was why she lost conscious. But I pray things gonna be fine ” he said
She thought of what to do knowing if he leaves her that will be the end, she decided to form sicky. He cu-mddled her but it was not enough to her, they engaged in k!ssing.
She un-bu-ttoned his clothes and tried to undress herself but he st©pped her “no dear we don’t nee-d to do this now, I’ll wait patiently after our wedding, the night will be for the both of us. I don’t want to defile you because I’ll not be happy if someone will do such with my sister ” he said trying to dress her back.
She began to cry “tell me I’m not beautiful, tell me you don’t like my skin. Why all this? I’m your wife to be and there is nothing bad having S-x with me” she said.
He nodded “I’m not saying it’s bad but I want us to do it at the right time, if you are hungry for it then let’s make our wedding preparation as fast as possible. You’re my favorite and I don’t want to hurt you for Christ sake ” he said
She smiled and moved very close to him “Are you scared of pregnancy or what? If I get pregnant it’s still cool” she said
He nodded his head in disagreement “never will I do that, my first child will not be conceived out of wedlock. ” he said
“we can still do the wedding even with my pregnancy and nob©dy will know about it ”
He laughed “you think so? I’m a member of Redeemed Christian Church of God and you know what it means. Before marriage they will conduct many test on us and pregnancy test will not be excluded. If you’re confirmed pregnant it will be a disgrace on us. ”
She fumed to be angry but he k!$$£d her forehead and left immediately, she called him several times but he refused to answer her. He left for the hospital immediately.

Life has been difficult for Danny, he found it ha-rd to concentrate at work. Ever since Annabel c@m£ to his house to tell his wife everything she had not visited or called him. He now knew she (Annabel) was in for destruction.
He was at his office thinking of how he would explain everything to his parents so that they would accompany him to apologize to Edith’s family. He found it ha-rd to go there alone due to the pains he had caused his wife and the disgrace he has brou-ght to her family.
Gift tapped him unexpectedly when he was alre-ady lost in thought, he jumped up in surprise “I’m so sorry sir! Actually, I c@m£ to inform you that we won the contract ” she said expecting him to be happy.
“That’s good of you. You tried ” he said not even bothering to glance at her, she bec@m£ very upset because he’s the type that always celebr@te winning contract and award people involved in the successful works.
She left for her office immediately also lost in thought but an idea struck her. She decided to give Edith a call. A matured voice that sounds like that of Edith but dee-per answered the call…..
She told her Edith was admitted at Harmony Hospital, Gift shouted immediately and ran to Danny’s office to tell him about it.
He was also shocked but scared of going, he narrated everything that transpired between him and Edith to her and told her about his fear of going alone. She offered to go with him and also prayed things move fine for Edith.
She also cheered him up believing Edith still loves him. She told him not to be afraid to face whatever her parents would say and he should still be re-ady to face the worst from them.
They made working snappy in order to go and visit Edith at the hospital…. Danny’s heart beat fearfully…. He promised himself that he would st©p working if everything works well and make Gift the head of all dep@rtment.

Rose was mopping the floor at noon when she began to throw up suddenly, she never un-derstood herself….
Alex helped her to complete the mopping and invited the family doctor to come and check on her…..
It didn’t take the doctor long, he appeared almost immediately…. As if he knew what was wrong with her…. He brou-ght simple pregnancy test pills…..
She was confirmed pregnant…..
Alex and Rose were scared hearing she was pregnant, they were scared of miscarriage because that was how it happened the other time…. Rose told her husband not to tell anyone until she delivers, that is if the pregnancy stays.

When Gift and Danny arrived at the hospital Edith was slee-ping, the test result was not yet out and it was only Charles that was with her.
Charles was glad to see Gift for the second time so he decided to stroll out with her leaving Danny and slee-ping Edith alone, he has bought fruit while coming….
It was almost getting late, Charles and Gift were not yet back. He decided to wait, he knelt down beside her be-d “plea-se love, I know I was wrong but I’ve never long or hope to hurt you….. My night was long and lonely without you…. The lady who claimed to be pregnant is nowhere to be found…. She just want to break our home….. plea-se dear we can work things out…. I’ve loved you and I still love you. I just hope you will give me a chance and I promise things gonna be fine. ” he said. He stayed on the kneeling position looking at her beautiful face with the long black lashes.
Mrs Brown entered immediately, she saw how weak he was. Her heart skipped thinking she’d be harsh on him but she was nice, she even told him to go home and rest that she would take care of her…. He thanked her and left for house…
He left for his house knowing he had hope of having his wife back. He prayed she accepted him also.
When Gift and Charles left the hospital to stroll out, Charles was worried about Annabel, he decided to give her a call taking excuse from Gift.
“Hello baby” he began, she was scared thinking it was a set up…
“how was it? ” she managed to ask…
“it’s okay I think, when I arrived at the hospital mum confirmed she woke up but she was asleep when I arrived ” he said
“alright dear, I’ve missed you. What about our discussion? I’m seriously h—y and you can’t forsake me like this. Can you plea-se come over tonight? ” she asked not even ashamed of the disappointment she encountered earlier…
“babe I’m in an open place for now but I will see you later okay? ” he said
She was so excited, her plans will work.
She has planned having unprotected S-x with Charles in order to get pregnant for him. If he tries to deny they would go for DNA test and confirmed he’s responsible then he will get married to her.
“I think we should go back to the hospital, I have to go and see my fiancée” he said to Gift
“alright but it’s late alre-ady and you want to go and see her? ” she asked
“yes she nee-ds me, I think she had missed me a lot. She so waited for me for a year while I traveled and now that I’m back she is really happy” he said
She smiled hearing the way he spoke about his fiancee, she wished someone could say such in her abs£nce “Alright! Let’s go ” she said
He turned on his WhatsApp to message Annabel, Gift who glanced at his phone noticed the profile ph0to and remembered Annabel’s WhatsApp ph0to. She opened her mouth wi-de in surprise, Charles who noticed her demand to know why she was surprised.

“yes of course she is my fiancée ” he said

He turned on his WhatsApp to message Annabel, Gift who glanced at his phone noticed the profile ph0to and remembered Annabel’s WhatsApp ph0to. She opened her mouth wi-de in surprise, Charles who noticed her demand to know why she was surprised.
“You know her? ” Gift asked
“yes of course she is my fiancée ” he said
“Annabel your fiancée? Are you the one who engaged her? ” she asked freezing in shock
“yes I’m the one” he said
“no this can’t be true. Are you for real? The same girl who broke your sister’s home you want to marry? No! No! No this can’t be true ” she said nodding her head.
“Excuse me! Can you tell me what the hell you are saying instead of asking me several questions that I don’t have idea about? ” he asked anxiously.
She could see the seriousness in his eyes that he doesn’t know anything that was going on. She decided to narrate everything to her right from the day Annabel started working with Benson and Son until the day Danny explained everything to her.
Charles was dumbfounded and vexed in his spirit. He un-derstood why his sister fainted and why Annabel was asking for S-x. He cried heartily. He never prayed to lose her but he discovered she doesn’t even worth him. “plea-se can you go with me to Annabel? ” he pleaded with Gift

She accepted and they zoomed off to Annabel’s house immediately, when she heard the door bell, she ran to her wardrobe. She re-moved her clothes and put on a very transparent night dress without any inner wears to entice her darling fiancé….
When she ran downstairs “come in, the door is opened” she said and turned on the living room lights, it reveals everything completely, the go-wn was just fashion because it could be compared to her n-kedness…..
Gift stood surprised when she saw the queen Jezebel standing right in front of her… She couldn’t help but shout….. Annabel was totally surprised but never knew what to say or do…..
“There she goes, dressing totally n-ked to s£dûç£people. You’re such a shameless girl, upon how you hurt Edith by snatching her husband you still want to snatch her beloved brother. What about the baby in your wo-mb? ” Gift began but it was not enough to Charles as Annabel fired her back without shame.
“You are talking about her brother or husband the both are unserious set of humans and I’ll make life a living hell for them. How would he leave the country for almost a year and be promising me he is coming back? For the husband if he loves his wife why would he get attra-cted to me? I’m never pregnant and I can never be pregnant for worthless fool like Danny. He’s… ”
“Will you shut your dirty mouth? ” Charles cut her. “you ain’t even ashamed of yourself. Just a year you’ve ruined people’s family. What kind of a lady are you? The woman I cherished and boasted to my family and friends turned out to be a home breaker the same snake that hurt more than viper” he said
“You should be proud you have a viper like me, you are such a fool and nob©dy disappoint me in my world before you will tell me it’s over take your f—–g ring” she re-moved the ring and threw it at him, she turned to Gift “from the very first day I saw you I know you are a b—h, Charles is now yours, you can take him because I know this is all your handiwork ” she said.
Gift marveled at the kind of person she is, never re-ady to admit her wrongs…. She was about to speak when Charles spoke up “yes it’s her handiwork, she’s mine and she will remain mine forever. Nothing will p@rt us because she is a very decent girl and wife material unlike you, you will find it difficult to get a good husband. Foolish girl like you ” he said and drag Gift out.
*(Gift’s Pov)*
I felt freeze when he said I belonged to him and I will be his forever…. I wished that could be true but I know he was only teasing her…..
He dragged me out of the house unaware, I know he was upset and angry….. “plea-se I’m so sorry over what happened there and how I dragged you out, I was so disappointed when I discovered everything that happened” he said
“No problem! I un-derstand how you feel but don’t take it upon yourself just be grateful you got to know about this on time. What if she had done it to someone else and you knew nothing about it until the course fall on you? ” I said…
I observed the way he looked downcasted…. It’s not really easy but he just have to take heart….. He drove me home with his car because my car was parked at my office, I followed my boss to the hospital….
“thank you for opening my eyes, I don’t know how to reward you but I believe your reward will be from heaven because you’re just a God s£nt angel.. I’m really grateful, I’ll get in t©uçh with you and plea-se extend my greetings to everyone home because I’ll not be able to go in there” he said…..
I smiled “it’s nothing and plea-se don’t overstress yourself in so much thought” I said…..
He opened the door of the car for me, I was a bit happy the way he’s humble…. I kept waving at him until the shadow of the car got lost in the dark…. I breathed a sigh of relief…. I’m done with Annabel’s problems…. I couldn’t wait and tell my mum about it….
*(Charles POV)*
Everything seems to be complicated…. I felt the hell my younger sister felt…. It’s really heart breaking because I’ve loved Annabel and tried my best to stay away from white ladies…. Now I have no option….
I drove to the hospital where my mum was seated with my Edith…. I k!$$£d my sister immediately I saw her and hvgged her ti-ghtly…. Tears dropped down her face uncontrollably…. She had narrated everything to my mum….
When I re-leased her, she tried to talk but I placed my hand on herl-ips… I told her I knew everything alre-ady and I apologized to her for putting her throu-gh such… The doctor confirmed that she was also pregnant that was why she fainted easily earlier coupled with shock she had….
My night was sleepless, I thought of how Annabel behaved…. She’s really a witch and heartless kind of witch…. I imagined the scene how we went about with the other lady….
I remembered my words…. She’s mine and she will ever be mine….. What a possession…. I did not take permission from Gift before saying such…. I just hope she’ll un-derstand and will not be offended…. I said that to shock Annabel….
I really like the lady Gift but I don’t know if she belongs to someone… I just want to get rid of Annabel’s thoughts….. I’ll ask my sister about her….
I went to the hospital to see my sister, she was doing okay and the doctor as-sured us that she’ll not stay long at the hospital…
I told her how Gift and I had visited Annabel and how shameless and bold Annabel was, she smiled and thank God for revea-ling Annabel’s personality throu-gh her…. Everything happens by chance….
I asked about Gift…. She smiled “what about her? She’s a nice girl that’s all I can say ” she said
I scratched my head and looked away before speaking “actually I want to ask her if she had someone in her life…. If she doesn’t I’ll confess my love to her because I really like her” I said but she gave me an unusual look.
“why would you do such? You know most ladies hate when guys ask them such questions. If you truly love her be bold enough to confess your love to her without asking any $h!t question like that. If she had someone and she so much cherish the person then she’ll politely decline but if she doesn’t have and she loves you she’ll accept….” she said…
I hummed… She was right but it was not that easy asking a lady out, it’s been long I did that and I’m not good at ro-mantic words…. It took me time to speak to Annabel and now I had to start all over….
“What if she declines or doesn’t like me because I know ladies are cunning in nature? ” I asked sarcastically….
She adjusted her sitting position to speak “it’s nothing if she declines or dislike you beside it is common, all you nee-d to do is to tell her your mind to let go of the bothering thoughts and if she decline then throw your hands in the air and tell yourself that you tried. I believe she’ll not decline but if it happens like that stay patient your missing rib will be found soon. Be man enough ” she said
The door opened and it was Gift…. She c@m£ with food warmer and flask which I know she brou-ght for my sister…. She was in haste, “Good morning ” she said facing us… We both smiled at her, I began to admire her, she wore a cream color blouse and a black mini Sk-irt that reveals her feminine shape, she covered it with a coat because the weather was cold….
After asking about Edith’s welfare she decided to leave but I asked her something before leaving “Miss Gift! Will you be free tonight? I want to invite you to a dinner ” I asked although speechless and expecting her to say no but she accepted, I promise to come to her house and take her.

Rose and Alex were sited at the living room when Rose phone rang, she picked it and put it on loud speaker….. It was her aunt, she could hear cries from the background……
“Aunty what is the problem? ” she asked hearing the loud cries of her aunt who was breathing ha-rd and crying….
“plea-se aunty speak ” she pleaded while her husband moved close to her and pet her onher back….
“my husband is dead ” she finally announced and hung up the call…
Alex pet his wife “plea-se dear don’t take it upon yourself, you know about his sickness and you know it will result to this plea-se calm down all will be fine. I don’t want you to hurt yourself and the baby” he said
She calmed down but she still felt the pain not because of the man but for her aunt’s sake… Despite his wayward character he still cared and catered for his family….. His death seems to be gone too soon to her.

She sipped a glas-s of water and stared towards the window.

what am I waiting for if I don’t get Charles? I’ll lose him and I’m going to lose Danny also… My mouth was sharp, I shouldn’t have told them that I was not pregnant…..
No matter what it takes I’ll make sure I separate Gift from Charles…. I know I was wrong but that shows he has been cheating on me because he said Gift belongs to him….. Charles went to pick Gift, she looked perfectly nice…. She had told her mum about her feelings for Charles…. Her mum who also observed the unusual happiness on her daughter prayed that she finds the right man who will not break her heart…..

We arrived at a candle night restaurant, the place was so beautiful and quiet…. I had never seen a place like that and I wonder why he invited just me….
He was just smiling while sipping the malt he ordered for, I smiled back.
“I called you here to discuss something very important with you, I’m thinking about someone and I’m helpless. I just want you to help me” he said
I hummed, he nee-ds my help. That sounds funny but I summoned to ask “what is it all about? ” I asked.
He st©pped sipping his malt and faced me in a serious mood “there is this girl I’ve been trying to hide my feelings towards her because of Annabel but since Annabel broke my heart, my mind went back to the girl although she knew about my fiancée. What should I do? ”
I shifted and adjusted my sitting position…. His words hurt me…. I thought he loves me and I thought he wanted to talk about us…. I felt down casted but I managed to talk…. “if you love her then tell her what transpired between you and your fiancée, she will un-derstand and I believe she will love you because you’re cute” I tried to hide my jealousy.
“But I’m scared or should I say shy of telling her. She really looks like and angel and even more beautiful than what imagination could take ph0togra-ph of” he said
I was burning seriously within me…. My cheeks burn ha-rd , the taste of the malt began to change….. The way he was defining the lady makes me jealous…. I wish he could just st©p and start telling me story instead of telling me the beauty of that lady……
“Wow… If she’s this cute, you guys will look perfect because you’re really also cute” I managed to say
Thank God for the darkness that has been covering my red eyes….. Tears were dropping alre-ady….. Something began to whisper to me…. You must not allow jealousy to ruin you….. Edith was discharged from the hospital, she was encouraged by her mum to go back to her husband and to learn from her mistakes….. Mrs Brown also told Edith to apologize for all she had done in the past.
She agreed to go back to her husband, she arranged her clothes while Charles drove her home, Danny was at work although she did not inform him that she would be coming so she wasn’t surprised not seeing him at home….
She asked Charles to stay with her until her husband comes not wanting to hurry him, she wanted it to be a surprise….
Charles who was very good at surprising people suggested they decorate the room and prepare his favorite, the would make the house look dark and make unusual sound that would get Danny surprised…..
He called Gift and informed her about the surprise but warned her not to tell Danny, he also asked her to come over for dinner…..

Annabel visited the company, she c@m£ to talk about the pregnancy…. She dressed almost n-ked, she wore a transparent p@n-t-hose and a light sleeveless dress…. People were looking at her but she didn’t even look like someone who cares…. All she was focused on was Danny’s office…..
She was about to speak with his PA when Gift tapped her ha-rd . She turned to Gift in anger “what the hell is wrong with you? ” she asked in a rage
“it’s obvious you never knew you are a loser and not just a loser you are also a criminal because all what you’ve been doing is a big crime” she said staring at her from head to toe feeling disgusted at her….
“Oh it’s really nice seeing you, the way you feel bossy over what is not yours… ” she was still speaking when Gift cut her in
“Now get this into your dull skull, I don’t want to see you here again because if I see you. I bet you, you will hate your life and career…. Now leave this place ” she shouted
Annabel tried to sl@p her but she moved swiftly away from her. She called the securities to s£nd her away, the loud noise drew Danny’s attention….
He went out to check, “Annabel again? ” he asked no one in p@rticular….
“So what are you saying about our unborn babies? ” she asked facing Danny
He laughed “let’s go for DNA test of course ” he gave the security sign to take her out….
“I’ll deal with you Gift and Danny stupid set of people!!! I know that the both of you are seeing each other ” she said while the security guard was dragging her out….
She left crying. Danny warned all the security guards never to allow her in again…

Danny was so happy when he saw Edith, she apologized to him as her mum advised her and he did the same knowing they were both wrong… At dinner Charles proposed to Gift and she accepted without hesitation, she had always long to be someone’s wife and not just someone like anyone, Charles p@rticularly…..

Charles took Gift to the alter. The wedding was so great…. Gift’s mum was happy and proud of her……. Few weeks later the couples relocated abroad while a very big mansion was built for her mother…..

Rose tummy grew big days after days until she was due to be put to be-d, she gave birth to two set of babies, a male and a female successfully. On the day of her children naming ceremony, Belinda was put to be-d…. She gave birth to a bouncing baby girl.
Edith did not find it easy at all, she couldn’t give birth to the baby on her own according to the doctor that the baby was very big so she was taken to the theatre, the operation was successful. She gave birth to a baby boy…..
The three families lived happily ever as best of friends….
Annabel was seen crying helplessly…
