“Lucas,where are we going to?”i said as he kept on driving

“We are going home”he said

“But you said you had something to show me ?”i said as i kept on wondering what it is

“Yes and it is at home “he said

Soon the car got back to the house and he c@m£ to open the door for me

Together we walked in and i g@sped out loud when i saw the beauty of the house

It had been decorated with flowers abd shiny lights and it gave out an aura if r0m@nç£

“Lucas……its so beautiful”i said as i walked around tou-ching the little shiny things there

“Thank God you like it “he said

“Why shouldnt i,its so beautiful”i said

“I did it all for you”he said and my smile faded

“Lucas i have just asked you not to do these things ?”i said

“What am i doing?”he said

“Courting me”

“And who told you that i was courting you,am not courting you,i just prepared something for the both of us,afterall we got married today”he said walking past me

I felt hurt by his words,i had thought that it was all for me but he had done it for himself and why am i getting angry,i had told him not to try to court me,so i shouldnt get angry

Forcing a smile on my face i went to him and took the drink he was giving to me

“Cheers to us”he said giving me a smile

“Cheers”i said as i drank the whole bottle

“Before we eat,shall we dance a bit “he said

“I dont think……”before i could finish i was drawn to the dancefloor

Not so far away from us,i cpuld hear the song pla-ying

He drew me closer and began to sway to the music

“Lily,max and Lisa could come down at any moment and i dont want them seeing us this way”i said trying to find an excuse to leave his arms

“Dont worry about them,they are not around”he said

“What do you mean”

“They are at my parents house,i told to go there so we both could have a little time of our own”he said

“Lucas you should have told me about it first”i said

“I couldnt risk you finding out and then deciding to go with them,lets forget about them and just think about us”he said pu-lling me close

I felt myself shaking,feeling nervous and excited a bit

At that moment i felt so proud of him,my heart swell with love for him,i knew then and there that i wanted to spend the rest of my life with him

“plea-se let me finish,when i found you again the de-sire to have you felt so strong,i wanted lisa and i also want you too,i did all my best to show you but you keep on turning me down and then i thought of bringing you to Greece ”

“My original plan had been to s£dûç£you ,to win your heart and your love and possibly to marry you but circu-mtances had made the last p@rt the first one and i dont regret it”

“If an opportunity like this comes again,i will go for it because i love you my dearest,i love you so much”he said

I felt mesmerised by his words and i found myself smiling up at him

“Stay with me milly,i promise to make you happy,to be the kind of man you want,to treat you like my most prized treasure because you are one,the only treasure i ever want”he said

I felt ton-gue tied,i wanted to tell him a yes but before i could, he kssed me

And oh it felt so magical,i kssed him back,wanting more, nee-ding more from him

I just dont un-derstand myself sometime,i was just telling him this morning that i dont want anything between us and here i am kssing him and wanting more from him

And then it struck me,i loved him,i still love him,never st©pped loving him,if i didnt love him ,i wouldnt let him t©uçh me or kss me

But here i am kssing him back,wanting to feel more of him?

“If we dont st©p here milky,i might not be able to st©p myself”he said

“I dont want you to st©p lucas”i said and he starred at me again to be sure

“Are you sure about this?”he said

“Very sure lucas ,very sure”i said and kssed him

And then he carried me and took me to my room

I woke feeling quite sated and happy,last night had been the best night of my life

The man lying beside me had made great pas-sionate love to me

Though at first i had been scared but he had helped gotten rid of the fear and he had showed me how love between a man and a woman can be

I still havent told him yet that i love him too but i will as soon as he wake up

I was about getting off when his phone rang,i quic-kly went to answer so it wouldnt wake him up

“Lucas ,its me luisa,there is trouble,i mistakenly let it sl!pto david thatyou arent really sick and that your not dying,he is so furious and i think he is going to tell milly,i suggest you tell her the truth before she finds out that youve been lying to her”luisa said thinking i was lucas

And on hearing that i stood shocked,lucas hadnt been sick….???

“Hello lucas!!! Can you hear me,talk to me “luisa kept on saying

I held the phone loosely in my hand,feeling so sick and angry

Once again lucas has made a fool of me,i thought

And to think that this was a start of a new begining for us

“Lucas speak to ne,talk to me”luisa kept on saying

And suddenly the phone was pu-ll-ed from my hands

It was lucas,he had woken up and had taken the phone from me

“Hello luisa”he said as he stood by the window n-ked

I couldnt help but to stare at his b©dy,just after he had broke my heart for the second time,here i was thinking looking at his b©dy lu$tfully,i must be crazy!!!

I looked at him and saw him looking back at me

Am sure that he knew alre-ady,he kept on starring at me and i knew that he was thinking of some other lie to tell me

Well am not re-ady to listen to him,i dont even want to see him

Cluthching the sheets around me,i stood up about to leave but he held me back

“Let go of me you ba$tard”i said looking so very angry and he let go

I quic-kly went into the bathroom and lock myself up

“Milly i can explain,open the door and lets talk,my love listen to me plea-se”he said

“I dont want to talk to you,just go away”i said and went to the water turning it on

Blocking out his words,so i wouldnt hear a thing

He did it again,he broke my heart,took my trust for granted

Why does lucas hurt me all the time,i thought as i sat on the floor crying

A while later i washed my face and went back to the room

Luckily it was empty,he had left and am glad he did,i never want to see him again

Just then my phone rang and i picked it up

“Where are you right now?am coming to pick you and lisa,it turns out that that darn lucas have been lying to you,he is not sick,he is only pretending”david said

“I….i know”

“You know?”

“”Luisa called,i answered and heard all of it”i said

“You must be feeling betrayed right?”he said

I couldnt lie to david,he and i have been so close since we were little,if there is anyone that knows me better,its him

“David,it hurts so much”i said crying

“Tell me where you are,am in greece,i wont let that bastard hurt you anymore”david said

“We are at his house,i will text you the address,plea-se come fast”i said gently and ended the call

I stood in the room starring at the be-d,i had given my heart to him last night but he had broken it again

I just cant take it,i dont want to be here a while longer

I texted the address to david and began to pack

I was still packing when he walked into the be-droom

“What are you doing milly?”he said

“What does it look like?”i said

“You seriously dont mean this,you cant leave”

“Why cant i?”

“You still havent given me the chance to explain ,to tell you why i did it”he said

“I dont want to know okay,just save yoir lies for someone else”i said as i continued packing

He walked close to me and threw my bag on the floor,ma-king the content spill

“What is wrong with you!!!”i yelled at him

“you arent leaving milly,plea-se my love,hear me out”he said pu-lling me to him

“you ba$tard let go of me,i dont want to hear anymore of your lies”i said hitting his che-st frantically

“I never meant to lie to you milly,i swear,luisa started the whole thing,i know she lied but she did it for me,she wanted me to be happy and she knew that i could only do that with you by myside”

“You werent giving me a chance to explain,so Luisa made up that lie and it worked,it made you forgive me,to give me a chance to be in my daughter life and yours,you have no idea how much i love you and if i lose you now,i will die”he said

“Lying was not the right way to earn someone forgiveness ,what you did now made me realise that i cant trust you,for the second time youve broke my heart lucas,Youve shattered it,i dont think i can trust you or what comes out of your mouth”i said angrily

“But youve got to trust me,i never meant to lie to you “he said

“But you did,luisa started it and you pla-yed along ,have been a fool all this while”i said angrily

“No my love,your not a fool”

“Dont call me your love,you dont know that word,you just dont know it”i said wanting to walk off but he pu-ll-ed me back

“Am sorry milly,i love you ”

“If you truly love me,you wouldnt have lied lucas,now let go of me” i said

Just then there was a knock on the door and the butler brou-ght in his head

“Madam,a mr david is downstairs ,he said you are expecting him”he said

“Yes,tell him am coming “i said as i pu-ll-ed out of his arms

“David is here?”

“Yes,he c@m£ to take me home,i dont want to be here or anywhere near you”i said as i began to walk off

“Wait milly,wait “he called behind me but i didnt pay him any attention

I got the stairs when he suddenly blocked my path

“I wont let you leave milly,you are my wife,you belong to me “he said

“Not anymore lucas,as soon as i get home,i will file for a divorce”i said angrily

“I wont allow that,i…….”

“Dont t©uçh me!!!!”i said pushing his hand away

He lost his balance and fell down the stairs

He layed on the floor without moving or shaking

“Lucas!!!!”i said as i ran down the stairs to him

I knelt beside him on the floor and held him to me

“Lucas open your eyes,lucas plea-se………”i said

“Someone plea-se help me”i called as i held lucas unconcious b©dy in my arms

The butler ran in,along with david

“My God,what happened here”he said as he knelt beside me tou-ching lucas pulse to see if he is still alive

“plea-se david,call for an ambulance”i said crying

Immediately he called for an ambulance and after a while of waiting,the ambulance arrived and together we put him into the stretcher and got into the bus

I followed suit holding his hand while the paramedics did their thing

“Stay alive for me my love,plea-se”i kept on whispering that word hoping that he would hear it and come back for me

We got to the hospital and immediately he was taken to the ER while i stood in the waiting room

David c@m£ to join me hvgging me close to him

“I didnt mean to david,i didnt mean to push him ,i love him so much,i cant even bear to see him hurt ,i would never hurt him”i said as i held him ti-ghtly

“Shhhhh………its going to be alright,lucas is a fighter,he would come out of it”david said reas-suringly

“Milly?”i turbe-d and found lily and max walking in

I quic-kly went over to lily to give her a ti-ght hvg

Right now i nee-d people to encourage me,to tell me that he would be fine cause i just cant think straight anymore

“If i should lose lucas,then life wont be worth living,i should have just Payed attention to him,i should have forgiven him but instead i let my stupid pride come in between us again “i said as i sat with lily in the hospital cafeteria

She said i nee-ded something to distract me while lucas surgery is ongoing,she brou-ght me to the cafeteria to eat something

“Dont blame yourself anymore milly,lucas will be fine,you just have to trust in him,he would stay alive for the both of you”lily said

“I hope so,i really do”i said gently

“Lisa ?what about her?”

“We left her with the maid in the house,this place isnt meant for kids “she said

“Lets go back to the waiting room plea-se ,i nee-d to know how lucas is”i said

We got there only to hear Luisa voice “where is she?this is all her fault?”

“Just calm down luisa,calm down”her parents and david along with max said to her but she yelled back at them

“No mom,i have to talk to milly”she said looking so angry

Breathing in a sigh, i said gently

“Here i am” she turned and when she saw me,she walked towards me

She raised her hand up,wanting to sl@p me but she st©pped herself

I didnt flin-ch and neither did i say a thing to her

“If it werent for lucas sake,i would have sl@pped some s-en-se into you”she said

“Cant you see,that man in there loves you,he lied which was something against his principle ,he lied just to have you with him,i started this whole thing not to cause havoc but because i couldn’t watch my brother suffer anymore”

“He cried,drank,drove himself to death with work all because you wouldnt forgive him,i knew i had to do something and so i lied to you just so you could forgive him and make him have the peace he nee-ded and you did,i saw my brother smile again,for years he had suffered,not only you milly,lucas suffered too and he has payed for his sins,why torture him more,why!!!,he wanted your love so he lied,he was so desperate that was why he accepted to lie to you”

“If i had known that this is how it was going to end i wouldnt have let him lied to you,i wouldnt have let him get close to you,if something should happen to lucas,it would be on your concience”she said angrily and walked off

David was about going after her but i st©pped him

“She is right?lucas did everything for me but i……i…..”i couldnt finish my words because the doctor arrived

“How is my husband?”i said rushing to his side

“As of now he is okay but due to the fall he had,he sprained his knee and suffered a mild concussion,he will ve watched over and he will be on brmed for a while,at least until his leg is healed”he said

“Can i go to him”lucas parents and i said together

I turned to stare at them and they gave me a smile

“You go,he nee-ds you mostly”his father said and giving them a nod,i went in

He was unconcious,he had a bandage around his head and knee

This had all been my fault,i thought as i sat down on the empty chair beside him

“My love,am so sorry,i caused this upon you”i said as the tears fell from my eyes

His f!ngerstwitched in mine and i starred up to see him opening his eyes

“Lucas dear”i said feeling so very happy

I quic-kly went to get the doctor and they did something on him and with an as-surance that all is well,they left us alone

From where i stood ,i heard him sigh a bit

“I thought you would have left”he said gently

“How can i,when i almost killed you”i said

“You didnt do a thing to me milly,its all my fault,i should have let the anger in you simmer but no,i jumped into it,like i do all the time”

“Do you realise that i always do things without thinking whenever am around you,i was never like that,it was until i met you”

“Lucas dont say anything,just…….”

“No milly,let me talk,i took revenge on you and did the most despicable thing a man could do to a woman,i lied to you and broke your heart even when i just wanted to make things right between us but i did it the wrong way right”

“No you did it the right way”i said

“No i didnt ,dont try to pat my head and say all is alright ,we both know that it isnt”he said

“Lucas…..”

“Go milly,am not good for you,i was never the right guy for you,i will still see lisa and be a father to her but i wouldnt be a good husband to you”he raised his hand and gently pu-ll-ed off the ring

“Lucas i dont want to leave”i said crying

“But i want you to,am not the man for you,go out there and find the one who truly love you ,promise me that milly,promise me that you would find someone else and be happy,dont let what i did to you ruin you for good”he said

“Lucas”i said feeling so very hurt

“Go milly,go away,get a man better than me and i would do the same,i doubt if anyone would want me,afterall am a ra-ppist”he said

“Dont say that milly,i am a ra-ppist and i would keep on being one,so now plea-se go away milly”

“So do you still miss her?”the thera-pist said as he starred at me

“I dont really know”i said

Its been six months since have seen milly,ever since i s£nt her away at the hospital

She hasnt come back to check on me,i thought i was doing it for her own good then but it turned out that i was doing it to punish myself

I miss her and i still love her but it seems like am destined to be alone

Lisa comes to spend the holiday with me but alone,i never get to see a small glimpse of milly,though i try to get lisa to talk about about her

There are times that i regret my action and there are times that i dont regret it

She deserves to be with someone far better than a ra-ppist like me

I just hope that soon enough,i can forget her myself and move on

Have took a step in it,i left the city and c@m£ to one of my pri-vate island

I got a thera-pist who have been helping me get used to my situation

Am sure that with time everything will go well

“So what would you do if you see her again”the doctor said

She looked so gorgeous,have missed seeing her a lot and it was then that i realised that no matter what i do,i will always love her

I dropped lisa down and lily c@m£ to take her to the group

“I tried lucas ,i tried to forget you but my heart only beats for you,i called them all to be here to witness this day with us,the day i tell you that i love you,that it has only been you,i never pursued you this past months because i wanted you to heal,you also suffered lucas and you deserve to be loved”she said

She bent on her one kneel and opened a box showing the wedding ring i gave back to her on the day at the hospital

I felt so happy,so very happy to know that she loves me

I pu-ll-ed her up and knelt in front of her

“No milly,make me the happiest man by agreeing to marry me,stay with me forever my love”i said

“Yes lucas ,yes”she said as she jumped into my arms

I could hear the crowd behind us cheering loudly

But all that mattered was my milly,who was now showering me with kssses
