I sat in the car feeling agitated,i was quite happy a while ago
Enjoying the care and attention from milly
Not until my mom called with the bad news,i feel so angry with myself,while my dad is suffering from an illness,here i am having fun and misleading poor milly
Someday i would have to tell her the truth,the earlier,the better….
Suddenly i felt her hands on mine,i turned on my seat to stare at her
“It will be fine lucas,just keep on thinking so and i bet you it will come true”she said giving me a smile
I held her hands and k!$$£d it,she had no idea how much having her here means to me
“Thanks”i said
Soon the car st©pped and together we went in
While i spoke in greek to the nurse,she stood beside still holding my hand
Not once did she let go of it and it kind of felt great
Together we went into the room and when i opened the door i found my mom sitting beside my dad be-d
On seeing me she quic-kly walked towards me crying
“Lucas,your father?”she said holding me
“How is he?”i said
“Bad,his condition is just getting worse”she said as we both walked towards him
“Lucas”he called gently and we went to him
“Yes dad,am here”i said holding his hand
“You bad son of mine,you left greece and ha-rd ly come back to visit us” he said gently
“I was busy but now am here and you must try to get well”i said to him
He wasnt starring at me anymore but at milly
“Who is that lovely lady”he said gently
I smiled being sick hasnt changed my dad,even if he is dying,he would always admire a very beautiful lady
“I just asked a question”he said gently
“She is milly,the mother of my child and also my fiancee”i said starring at milly
She smiled at my dad as she walked closer
Thank God she hasnt bur-st my cover,all she had to do is to deny it and thats that
But luckily she has pla-yed along and just by looking at my dad and mom,i knew they approve of her alre-ady
“Your child?lucas has a child?”my mother said
“I wanted to surprise you both because i knew youve always wanted a grandchild but it seems like am the one surprised”i said
“If your worried about me then you shouldnt,i will be fine because i have to witness your wedding and pl@ywith my grandchild ,now you two leave my future daughter inlaw alone with me,i have something to tell her”he said
I starred at milly and saw the worried look on her face
“Dad you d……”
“Lucas just go,i wont harm your fiancee”he said
My mother c@m£ to pu-ll me and we both went out together
“Is she really your bride to be ?”she said
“Yes mom she is”
“Well then all i can do is to congrat you,i pray that you both will be together for forever”she said and i hvgged her
“I hope so mom,i really do”i said gently

“Have a seat”he said
I sat down starring at him,i somehow felt nervous,i didnt know why he wanted to speak to me alone
“Have asked to speak to you alone because i nee-d to plead for your forgiveness”he said
“My forgiveness?”
“Yes,i know what lucas did to you,he didnt tell me,neither did luisa but have been keeping a close eye on him,what he did to you is something so very bad and so have decided to ask for your forgiveness too,plea-se milly forgive my son”he said
I picked up his hand and held it “have done that alre-ady,have forgiven lucas”i said
“That is good,i also know that he is dying”he said
“How did you find out” i said
“From luisa,he is sick,i would admit that hearing that he is sick got me here to the hospital, i have a fragile heart and once its stressed it leads me to the hospital,i dont know when i would be given another bad news cause am given one,i will die”he said
“No you wont,dont say that ” i said
“Then do me one favour ,think of it as a last wish of a dying old man”he said
I had a feeling that i wont like what the favour would be
“Tell me?”
“Marry my son and am not saying in a few weeks time or in a months time,marry him right here,right now”he said

💭MILLY POV 💭
“Marry him right here,right now”his words kept ringing in my ears
“What do you say milly,i know am rushing and in some other circu-mtance,you would never see a girl marry her ra-pist or get close to him but your different,you forgave my son and let him be near his child that shows that you truly have a heart of gold,he has only months left to live,make him happy by marrying him,i know that with you by his side he would spend his remaining days feeling happy,plea-se milly accept”he said
“Am sorry but i cant,am just bot re-ady for marriage yet”
“Milly plea-se,he nee-ds you and his child”
“And thats why have agreed to accompany him here to greece,i cant marry him,am sorry”i said turning to leave
“Mi…..l….ly”he said suddenly holding his che-st,i quic-kly ran back to him
“Are you okay sir,are you okay?doctor,doctor “i yelled and immediately lucas and his mom along with the doctor ran in
I stood behind watching the doctor do their best to stabilize lucas dad
While lucas held his crying mother to himself
“I have a fragile heart and once its stressed it leads me to the hospital”
I remember his words and i began to cry,God i shouldnt have said that to him
I should have been more careful,i should have talked to him gently about it but no,foolishly i had said it withput thinking about his condition
“Weve managed to calm him down,we wpuld like it if no one tries to see him for a while ,he has had too much stress for a day”the doctor said
“No…..do….nt let …..them leave,not you milly”he said as he re-moved his oxygen max
“Dad you nee-d to have your rest,whatever you want to tell her ,do it later”lucas said
“Will you?will you ?”he said looking straight at me
Having no option and not wanting him to go throu-gh another phase of attack,i nodded gently
He smiled and stretched forth his hands for me
I went to it and held it and he did the same with lucas who took it too
Lucas expression showed that he was so confused
“She has agreed lucas “he said
“Agreed to what?”
“To marry you”on hearing that he starred at me
“Melody,get the judges in here,i want to watch them exchange vows”he said lightly
I felt like am going crazy,who would have thought that by coming to the hospital with lucas will mean that i would be getting married to him……
Well have agreed to do this,to fufil the wish of a dying man,as long as lucas would keep his distance,i would be fine in this marriage…..i thought gently

“And i pronounce you as husband and wife”the judge said as we signed the papers
I stared at milly,she looked the gloomy all throu-gh the wedding
I never knew that dad would have prepared all this and i kept on wondering how he managed to convince milly
“Common lucas,k!ssyour new bride”my father said gently
He didnt look like he was dying,just some few minutes ago,he could ha-rd ly talk loud but now he is
And that makes me wonder if he planned all of it
“What are you still waiting for”he said again jo-lting me back to reality
I stared down at milly who was still looking gloomy
Judging by her looks,i knew her mind was somwehere else
So i used that opportunity to k!ssherl-ips
She g@sped and moved back,she stared at me and at everyone else and then excused herself and walked out
I would have followed her but mom st©pped me saying she would go with her
I stayed back and thank the judges and the rest and as soon as they left ,i began my interrogation
“You shouldnt have done this dad”
“I was just helping you”
“I had it in mind to marry milly but i was thinking of courting her,doing it the right way not by doing it f0rç£fully”i said
“And that would have wasted time,cant you see that she uncertain,one wrong move and she leaves but with her being your wife,she is now obligated to you”he said laughing
I would admit that he has a point and i wouldnt deny that i like the fact that she is now my wife and that she is bearing my name but i know that a marriage starting off with lies would only end badly
“I had to use my heart condition to get to her”my father said
“I know dad that your just pretending”i said
“And i also know that you are pretending too,your not sick,luisa told me everything”he said
“If she had told you why lie more dad”
“To help you okay,you love that girl,you dont have to pretend with me,i know and have helped you a bit,so the rest is in your hands “he said
Dad is right,though he lied he has helped me a lot in this and now its up to me to finish the rest and thats by ma-king milly mine again

I sat in the hospital caffeteria starring at the ring in my f!nger
I still cant believe that am.married to lucas
“Milly are you alright”i turned on hearing his mom voice
” am fine”i said as i watched sat beside me
“You dont have to shy with me,tell me whats wrong?”she said holding my hand
“I cant believe that am married to lucas,we only c@m£ to check up on his dad and now am,am married to him?”i said
“Tell me something ,how do you feel about lucas “she said
That question made me wonder for a while
What do i feel for lucas?
“Hope you dont feel hatred for him”
“Have forgiven lucas a long time ago”i said
“And ?how do you feel about lucas”
“I just think of him as a friend”i said knowing within me that,that was not true
“Then if you can think of him as a friend,then you can think of him as a husban,i will let you in on a family secret”she said
“I was kidnapped by my husband”she said and i starred at her
“Yes,he happen to take one look at me and then decide that he wants me,j was a proud peac0ckthen but he never st©pped trying to court me and then one day he took me f0rç£fully”she said
“And what happened after then?”
“He took me to his villa and locked me up and then s£dûç£d me till i fall for him,that was when lucas was convinced”she said giving me a smile
And i found myself wondering the kind of family lucas have
“Look what am trying to bring out of this is that if you put your mind and your heart in this,it would work,dont think that because your married to lucas now,your life is doomed,well no my child,this is the begining of a new journey for the two of you,think of lisa,she will nee-d both her parents in her life”she said

He raised my chin to make me stare at him
“Do you want this marriage,if you do we will both give it a try but if you dont,i will give you a divorce”he said
I told myself the second choice was the best ,that i should leave him,have a divorce and act like all this never happened
But i found my will dissolving little by little,a p@rt of me wanted this marriage,wanted lisa to have a complete family and me, someone to love me
What am i thinking,i dont want lucas loving me and i dont want to go throu-gh the same thing again,i had loved him so very much but he had broken my trust and had broke my heart in the process
I dont think i can ever love again,not with lucas
“I at least want us to work on it,i want to be with you milly,give me the chance,dont shut the door on us yet”he said holding my hand
Closing my eyes and giving into his demand,i nodded my head
“Yes lucas,lets try to make it work but its all for lisa sake,there cant be anything between us lucas”i said
“Why cant they be?”
“I just dont see myself with anyone,if i hadnt marry you i wouldnt be with anyone”i said
“You not wanting to be with anyone,is all my fault right?”he said
“Lucas its all in the past okay,what matters now is Lisa happiness,we will be a loving couple to lisa and thd rest but between us we know the score,so agree?” I said
He was reluctant a bit but he nodded in the end
He even stretched forth his hand and i took it in mine
When i stared up at him i could see a look on his face and whenever lucas had this look on him,it means that he is up to something
I just hope that it has nothing to do with me,i thought
💭LUCAS POV 💭
“It has everything to do with her”i said into the phone as i chatted with max
“But would milly like it”max said
“She will,this is the first step am taking in our marriage ,though she has told me that she didnt want any of it but am not going to give up and now I nee-d your help”i said
“Fine then,if that will get you to win your wife heart,i will do it”he said
“Thanks bro,so this is it……”
A while later i went insearch of my wife,just thinking of her as my wife made me feel so good
Am glad that she has agreed to stay even if its for Lisa sake
Cause i have my own plan,i wont just give up on her,i plan on s£dûç!ng her until she falls inlove with me just as i am crazy about her
I got back to the hospital only to fund her using the clothes to cover my dad b©dy
For a while i stood just watching her,she was the perfect epitome if beauty
And she is my wife,mine,just knowing that she bears the same surname with me gives me joy
“Go away lucas,he has finally fallen asleep after a long time “she whispered to me as she took my hand and went back outside
“You could have woken him up,”she said
I felt t©uçhed that she cared for my dad even though she just met him today
“Come with me milly,i nee-d to show you something”i said
“And what would that be? And your dad?”
“My mom can take care of her husband ,its time you take care of me”
“Lucas!!!”
“I know,i know ,just come with me,i have to show you something”i said
