EPISODE 81
The doorbell kept on ringing but it seems like she is not hearing anything.
The hotel staff had been standing for almost thirty minutes in front of Aisha’s room but he hadn’t heard anyone answered nor opened the door at all.
” What is it?” Ethan got curious when he saw the staff holding another paper bag early in the morning. He was about to go out when he saw the troubled man.
” Sir, I was about to deliver Miss Mikasa’s package but she’s not answering at all.” The young man yelped.
” Just leave it there. She might still be sleeping.” He nonchalantly replied. ”She’ll see it once she comes out.”
” Yes sir.” The man smiled and placed the package in front of Aisha’s door before leaving. As for Ethan, he stared at the door before striding the hallway. He needs to meet the investors of their new company in Paris.
However, when he got back home at midnight, the package was still there. Didn’t she leave for the day? Weird. He thought. But since it was just a day, he didn’t mind it at all.
Though he must admit that he misses the woman’s presence. Why isn’t she tailing him now? Is she still upset about what she saw last night?
He was about to opened his room when he recall Aisha’s reaction that time. He couldn’t speak a word because he himself was caught off guard.
*FLASHBACK:*
The woman was wearing a revealing dress. And it was very evident that she is someone’s date for the night.
”Are you still following me until here?” Ethan scowled when he saw Aisha in the evening party held at the hotel’s lounge.
” OohH.. I didn’t know you’re here.” The woman lied. ” I came here because I got invited.” She smirked.
”Tsk!” He scoffed. ”Then stand your ground Miss Mikasa. Don’t just go around following me and ruining my moment. Did you think you’ll make me jealous by lu-rking around with other men?” He spoke sardonically.
The woman went speechless. And for the first time, she had thanked the woman who was with Ethan since during the lunch, when she came and interrupted them. Someone is looking for him, its what the woman had said.
”Phew! Saved by the bi-tch !” She exhaled an amount of air. ”Relax Aisha… he is just a little bit upset of what you have done… now, its your time to court him.” She encouraged herself.
As soon as she saw the waiter holding a tray of gla-sses of wine. She took one and gulped it at once. Dang! She needs to hold on a little more.
” Miss Mikasa, you’re here. I’ve been looking for you everywhere.” A man whose obviously a lot older than her came to where she was standing.
”Mr. Camp, I’m sorry.” She smiled.
” It’s okay… I was just looking for you to ask you a dance.” The man was hesitating, fearing that the woman might refuse.
” I love to!” The woman replied. She needs to at least release the upset feeling inside of her..
The music was lovely. It’s definitely romantic when you concentrate on its lyrics but Aisha is not even listening. She just wants to sweat that moment.
Unknown to her, Ethan had been watching her silently dancing in the arms of a stranger. He was drinking the wine that he was holding while throwing daggers at the two who seems enjoying the night more than anyone else.
” Ethan, do you want to dance as well?” His date asked. however, she didn’t receive any response from the man.
” Ethan?” She lightly shrug the man so he jolted in surprise. Therefore, when he moved to face the woman, the wine on his glas-sgot spilled on the woman’s dress.
”Hufpph!” The woman exclaimed astonished.
” I’m very sorry! I didn’t mean it.” He voiced.
” No, it’s okay. It was actually my fault.” The woman tried to wipe her dress with a paper napkin but the stains had already spread.
” You know what, my room is just upstairs. You can wait inside while waiting for the hotel staff to wash and dry your dress.” He suggested.
” No, I’m okay…besides, the party isn’t over yet. They might look for you.” The woman interjected.
” No, I insist.” He spoke with finality. ” Come on.” He pulled the woman’s hand and trekked the staircase.
Meanwhile, the music had stopped and Aisha had cooled a little. So its time to continue her mission again. She had been looking around searching for Ethan but couldn’t find him in the crowd. Even the woman who was her date for the night is nowhere to be find.
But then as she accidentally gazed at the staircase, she saw the two exiting together. She immediately followed them but she halted when they stopped at the elevator. Wait, are they possibly going at Ethan’s room?she thought.
As soon as the elevator door closed, she dashed near it and waited for it to stop just so she could see what floor it will be.
But she was terrified when it stopped at the fifth floor!
At that time, Ethan gave Cecille a robe she could use while the hotel staffs are washing and drying her dress. So before using the robe that Ethan gave, she took a light shower first. She was actually planning to sleep as soon as she gets back to her own home.
Ethan doesn’t have the plan of going back to the party either since his mood was already ruined. Therefore, he took a shower then wore his trunks. But he chose to wear a robe while waiting for the woman’s dress to arrive. Anyway, its just for a few minutes.
So when they heard a knock, Cecille went to open the door thinking that her dressed was done. But she was surprised as well when she saw a woman standing still.
” Who is it?” Ethan asked when he hadn’t heard a word from the woman. But when he saw the startled Aisha, he got caught off guard.
She staggered backwards then run inside her room as quickly as she can.
”Aren’t you going to chase and explain to her?” Cecille inquired. ” She might misinterpret us.”
But the man went back to his room instead without responding. A minute later, the hotel staff came with the woman’s dress. And after a few more minutes, she bid him goodbye.

As soon as Aisha locked the door, she fell on her knees and cried. The heartache within is too much for her.
And who would have thought that she had never slept the whole night!
She had been leaning behind the door since the last time she saw Ethan and the woman.
Morning came, she went inside the shower room and weakly turn it on… then let the water flow freely in her body without taking her party dress. She just sat on the shower floor while the cold water kept on flowing, drenching her whole body.
Also, she could hear the knock on the door, even the continous doorbell but she was too weak and lazy to open it. Now she doesn’t care whose behind the door.
Then once again, tears started to flow from her eyes, and then she stooped down, her forehead touching her knees…

He shrugg his thoughts off. Well, even if he knocks on her room, she will surely not opened it since she must be very mad at him right now. He sighed heavily. Guess he’ll just have to explain once their paths cross later. For now, he will let her cool down for the time being.
Morning came, Ethan lazily made a cup of coffee. His schedule is at 11am today so he has so much time to do anything he wants since he woke up early.
Then he thought of Aisha. He hadn’t saw her yet since yesterday. hope they will cross paths today. Ethan wished.
He doesn’t have much appetite for heavy breakfast this morning so he only had coffee and bread before taking a bath. After preparing, he went out from his room but his eyes landed on the package still lying outside the door.
Eh? Did she intentionally left it or still, she don’t have any plans to leave the room? Or did she possibly went back home already? He don’t know either. So he took the package and placed it inside his room before going down.
He was about to exit when he remembered to ask the frontdesk.
”The guest at 544, did she already leave?” He inquired.
” Just a minute, sir.” The woman search the room number the man had provided.
” No sir. The guest hadn’t sign out yet. Can I help you with anything?” The staff asked.
” Really?” The man probed further and was thinking for a few minute. Something isn’t right… he could feel it. ”Miss, you have a spare key on her room, right?”
” That’s correct sir, but—”
” Please let me borrow it for the meantime!” He was on a rush.
” I’m sorry sir but we are not allowed to do that—”
” I am his fiance and I need the spare key now!”
” But Sir—”
” She never left that room since the other night! So please give me the damn key!” He yelled, though he can still see the hesitation on the woman’s face. ” If something bad happened to her, I will surely sue this hotel!”
”But—”
” Give it to him. I’ll take responsibility on this one once it gets excalated.” A manly voice uttered behind the staff. It was her manager! So she gave him the spare key.
Anyway, Ethan is an esteemed personality. He shouldn’t have any evil plans within.
As soon as Ethan got a hold of the key, he rushed to the woman’s room and knocked on the door thrice. When he didn’t receive any response, so he used the spare key to enter.
He searched for her at the kitchen, living room then to the bed but she is not everywhere! then he heard the water flowing inside the shower room.
” Aisha!” He called out but no one is answering. ” Aisha!” He called again and again but to no avail.
” If you don’t speak up, I am going to open the door by force!” He yelled again. But after a minute, when he didn’t hear any response, he forced-open the door. To his surprise, he saw a drenched woman lying on the floor with her dress on. the water was freely flowing
”Damn it!” He cursed when he realised that the woman is still wearing the dress from the other night.
How long did she stay under the cold water?!
He panicked when he thought that Aisha had been under the cold water since that night. Now his guilt is eating him.
He quickly turned off the shower then swiftly undress the woman. He took a towel and covered her body before taking her to bed. Then he took the blanket and covered her body.
He tried to search the first aid kit, and as soon as he found the thermometer, he positioned it in her underarm, waiting for the result.
But even if he doesn’t see the result yet, he knew that the woman is surely suffering from hyporthermia since she could feel the coldness of her body.
” I’m sorry Aisha!” He uttered guiltily.
Then he went back to his room and took his own comforter and added it to her blanket. She needs to have a raise in her body temperature since it fell under 75 degree!
She looks so pale, her li-ps turned white.
He couldn’t watch the quivering woman anymore, therefore, he took off his clothes leaving his underwear alone then went to lay beside the woman. Then he cuddled her. Body heat should be more effective.
That moment, Ethan had to cancel all his appointments for the day just to take care of the woman. He stayed with her for the whole day but she hadn’t open her eyes yet. Now it’s already 9pm but she hadn’t woken up yet.
But it’s a relief to see the woman gradually raising her body temperature. However, he is still worrying since the woman seemingly haven’t eaten yet.
It was already midnight when the woman slowly openned her eyelids. She can feel the warm body and the muscular arms that had enveloped her. She knew that scent… it’s from Ethan. Then she slowly raised her head to confirm it.
Ethan? Is she dreaming now? But she was too weak to determine if its a reality or a dream so she slumbers once again.
