” Sister!” Arwen exclaimed excitedly to see her sister healthy and alive. ” How have you been all this while?”
” I have been good, all that is to you. ” She pu-lls here into a hvg, ” Thank you. ” She breaks the hvg.
” Any sign of sister Anna? ” She asked.
” No. We have been expecting her but, she hasn’t invade the castle. ”
” I think she is somewhere in Brok, let’s hope she doesn’t attack now. ”
” I have been praying earnestly for our safety. Why don’t we go inside. ”
” What about your husband, Lord Rodriguez? ” Arwen asked as they trailed in.
” He’s been busy in the kingdom’s affair but, he’s been good all this while. Are you hungry? ” Amma asked.
” Yes, of course. ”
” I’ll ask the cook to make you your favorite dish, I hope you’ll enjoy it. ” She smiled at her. ” Joana, plea-se esc-rt princess Arwen to her chamber.”
” Yes, my lady.”
Joana turns to Arwen, ” plea-se follow me.”
Arwen followed after her to a room. Joana pu-ll-ed the door knob, opening the door for her to enter.
” Here is your room, Your Highness.”
Arwen entered, she was admiring the room when she decided to ask. ” You’re the queen’s hand maid, aren’t you?”
” Yes, I am.”
” Would you mind if I ask? ” She asked again.
” plea-se go ahead. ”
” Have you noticed anything strange around? I mean, both within and outside the castle walls? ” She asked.
” No, I haven’t. The castle has been in peace even after your mother s£nt the last letter to Her Majesty. ” Joanna answered.
” Okay. Thanks by the way. ”
” Anytime. ” She left the room.
Arwen unpacked her clothes, hanging them in the wardrobe.
She remembered her father’s word, “ You have to be very careful, we are certainly not sure if the Enya you will meet us the real one. ”
How will she be able to identify the fake from the real. Joana saying nothing seems weird this past few days, does it mean Anna is still working on her plans?
Not quite long, Joana c@m£ to inform her that lunch was re-ady.
Arwen knew she can’t conclude if the Enya she had seen was really Enya or Anna.
If there’s anyway to find out, it has do do with some thing they’d all least expect.
” I’m happy you c@m£.” Anna started. ” How is mother and father?”
” They are both fine. Since your husband c@m£ to Pendamour, they have been worried sick about you. We’ve searched all over the kingdom for the witch but, we still haven’t found her yet.”
” Hmm.” She hummed. ” She hope they find her soon.”
” They will.” She gave her an as-suring smile.
Anna’s expression was sour, she hated the fact that Arwen was here in Brok.
Arwen wasn’t only a bookworm, she was a smart girl who knew things above her age.
” If you still nee-d more, don’t hesitate to tell Joana. I’m going to my room, I think I nee-d to rest.” She said, standing to her feet.
” Thank you.”
” No, don’t thank me, we’re sisters, aren’t we?” She smiled at her. ” And don’t forget to have a good rest too, you look tired.” She said as she exited the dinning room.
After Arwen was done eating, she cleaned her mouth, gulping her served wine.
” Do you still nee-d more?” Joana asked.
” No, thanks, I’m full.”
” Okay. I’ll s£nd a maid for you, if you nee-d anything plea-se do let her know.”
Arwen nodded. ” I will.”
She went to her room, laying flat in the be-d, her head staring up to the ceiling… ” Where are you, Anna?” She muttered to herself.
She dozed off.

The weather was cold, Arwen had woken up from sleep. She decided to go out on a walk alone.
There was no one to talk to, Enya and her husband were in their room.
She folded her arms around her che-st, sighing heavily.
Her eyes moved to a direction, it was so dark. She tried looking closer, but it was too difficult to see who it was.
She quietly walked to their direction, trying to evesdrop in their conversation.
” How is it going?” A voice asked.
” Good. ” Replied the other. ” I never thought the memory spell would work on her so easily.”
” I told you, it would work out perfectly. ” She said, excited at her achievement.
” Have you made love with him yet?” Asked the first voice.
” No.”
” You have to. That’s the only way to claim him as yours forever. So that when your sister tries to claim the truth, you can also defend yourself.”
” You know, I can’t just f0rç£ him to sleep with you especially now he is working on the kingdom’s affair.
I have to wait for the right time or he will suspect my desperation.”
” I un-derstand but, you must hurry up or your younger sister finds out about your secret… our secret.”
” Don’t worry about me, you have to worry about yourself first because everyone are after you than they are to me.”
” I have heard. But you have to be careful. Goodbye.” The unfamiliar voice said before vanishing.
Arwen quic-kly ran back to the castle, shutting the door ha-rd behind her.
What…?
They have all been deceived!
Enya isn’t the Enya they all know, it was her… It is Anna.
Now that she has found out who she actually is… Where on earth is Enya?
She must inform His Majesty about this.
No, not now.
She nee-ds to have a proof.
What proof.
Will it be strong enough to convince him?
Or will he think she is here to shatter his marriage??
She nee-ds a strong proof.
Anna’s evil deed must be expo-sed.
” Enya… Enya… Enya… Where are you?” She said, pacing around her room.
Knock… Knock.
Arwen st©pped pacing. ” Who is that?” She asked.
” It’s me Joana.” Said Joana from the outside.
” What is it?” She asked again.
” Dinner is re-ady, the King and Queen are waiting for you.” She informed.
” Oh, give me a minute, I’ll be there.” She sighed.
She has to behave in a way Anna won’t know she is aware of her plan.
Her heart was beating so fast as if she had seen a ghost.
It would have been better if she did see a ghost, because right now, no one is safe.
Especially Enya, since no one knows of her whereabout.

Chapter 32: SUSPICION.

Lord Riguez was with one of his council, the Chief of Nation’s Affair as the walked to the meeting hall.
Arwen on the other side was returning from the garden to her room when she saw them trail up the stairs.
” Your Majesty!” She called but he didn’t answer. ” Your Majesty!!” She called again and this time, she answered.
” Arwen?” He called surprised to see her so early. ” Are you looking for some thing?” He asked.
” Yes. And thank God I found you on time. ”
” What is it? ” He asked again. She looks at the council, Riguez noticed. ” Leave us.” He ordered him to go.
” Is there a problem you want to tell me?” He asked for the second time.
” It’s about your wife, Lady Enya.” She answered.
” And what about her? ”
She looked around, ” This is not a place we can talk about it.”
” Let’s go to my office.” He said and they left to his office.
He shut the door after him,” What happened to Enya?” He sounded concerned. ” Is she safe?”
” Have you seem to notice any strange act in her?” She asked.
” No. ” He answered. ” Why do you ask? ”
” I think you should at least have a conversation with her about your moments together. Or maybe about some thing that only the two of you know. ”
” You talk like you know some thing no one does. ” He suspected.
She nods at him. ” I think you have been living with another woman. You have the wrong Queen on your be-d. ”
Lord Riguez’s eyes wi-de-ned in shock, ” Are you sure of what you say? You know there’s a punishment for false accusations. ”
” I am certain of what I am saying. Last night, I went to receive fresh air, then I saw two different people standing in the dark.
At first, I don’t know who they are but when I went to listen, I recognized the two figures standing in the dark. ”
” Who are they? ” He asked, inquisitively.
She hesitated. ” My sister Anna and the witch. ”
His breathing increa-sed, ” What did they say?”
Arwen didn’t bother about the too much questions he threw at her, she knew he deserves to know the truth.
” At first, the witch wanted her to make love with you so you will create an offspring from her.
And, they discussed about eliminating me because they felt their secret will be expo-sed.
Also, they plan on erasing Enya from you, even if you find out the truth, you will not believe it.
Your Majesty, I fear what my instincts tells me, Anna will do whatever it takes to f0rç£ you to make love with her.
You must not, you have to be very careful. Also, act like we never discussed about this, and do not forget to have a conversation with her.
With this, you will know if I speak the truth or not. ”
As she made her way to the door, he said. ” Thank you ”
She turned, ” You don’t have to thank me, I’m oy doing what is right. ” She exited the room.

Later that night, just as Arwen had instructed him to do, he decided to have a talk with his wife.
” You’re back so soon?” She said as she wore her dress. ” You must be hungry.”
” I am not hungry.” He said, taking off his shi-t.
She paused, turning to look at him. ” You have never said that before.”
” I have, once.”
” Oh, then I must have forgotten. ”
He looked at her for a while, walking into the bathroom for a shower.
Anna la-id with one side of her b©dy, same way Enya always la-id.
She was pla-ying with her f!ngers, humming a song. It was one of Enya’s favourite song.
Was she trying to pl@ygames?
To confuse Riguez or what?
Then she moved her hair to one side, tangling it with her first f!nger still humming the same song.
One might think she some how heard Arwen talking to Riguez.
Or the witch must have told her beforehand that Arwen will hear of their discussion.
Not too long, Riguez walked out of the bathroom, he was on his brown trou-ser, his b©dy contained a little water.
And it was obvious in the way water dr!pp£dout of his hair. ” What are the councils saying about the taxes?” She asked.
” We haven’t gotten to the expected amount, the poor finds it difficult to pay up. ” He said.
” So, what do you intend to do then? Have the rich mas-ses pay it up for them?” She asked.
” No. I have given them an extra week to complete the payment, if they still don’t reach to the d@t£, ” he sighs. ” that’s left for me to decide. ”
She continued humming the song, Riguez listened. He has heard Enya humm that exact song before and she was staying in the same position Enya always stayed while singing the song.
” Enya,” he calls.
” Mm-hmm.” She st©pped humming.
” I was thinking of visiting the stream tomorrow, it’s been long I felt the ocean breeze. Would you mind coming along with me? ” He asked, texting her reply.
” I would have love to but, ” she paused.
” You don’t have to say no. ”
She smiled. ” I thought I told you alre-ady, I’m scared of the rivers. ” She simply said.
Riguez tried not to show his expression, ” I’m sorry I didn’t remember that. Maybe I will have to quit for next time. ”
” I’m sorry, I wish I can spend the time with you. ”
He walks to the be-d, sitting by the edge. ” We haven’t talked about our child. ”
She chuckled.
” Are you alright?” He asked
” Yes. Why?”
” I think we should meet the doctor. ”
She frowned, ” I didn’t complain feeling sick or anything. ”
” No. No, you didn’t. It’s just… I mean, it’s been weeks we made love and you haven’t felt strange or any signs. ”
” Sometimes pregnancy doesn’t come so soon as we expect, it takes a little… longer. ” She f0rç£d a smile, ” You don’t have to worry about me, I will be fine.”

That night as they sle-pt, Riguez wasn’t feeling comfortable anymore.
He couldn’t sleep as his mind thought of so many things at a time.
He looked at Anna, she was slee-ping soundly. And he never noticed until now, that she snore quietly.
Enya doesn’t.
She sle-pt like ice, and one can’t notice her pres£nce in a dark and quiet room.
He sat up, hands rested on his ti-ghs.
For the second time, he looked at Anna.
He wondered where Enya would be. If she was dead or alive.
If she is likewise here in Brok or nowhere.
So… all this while he’s been with the fake bride?
But when? When did the switch occurred and he wasn’t aware??
He quietly left the room to have a walk alone. He reached to the entrance door to see Arwen sitting on the step.
” Hey.” She flin-ched at his voice. ” I’m sorry if I startled you.” He apologized.
Smiling at him, she said. ” It’s nothing.”
” Would you mind?” Pointing to sit with her.
” Sure.” He sat few steps from her. ” It’s beautiful.” She said, staring up to the moon.
” It’s always beautiful. ”
Arwen looked at him. ” What did you find out? ” She asked him.
” The truth. ” He replied. ” You are right, she isn’t Enya.”
Arwen smiled in victory. ” I told you, she isn’t Enya. ”
” I was little when I knew your sister, Enya. She saved my life when I thought I would die. I almost drowned at the river of Pendamour, but she brou-ght me back to life.
Your sister was a good swimmer, she was perfect. She loved the water like it meant a lot to her, ” he smiled, and it faded almost immediately.
” but when I talked about visiting the river, she looked scared. She said she hated the river then I knew you were right. ”
” You know, since we were little Enya and I haven’t been in good terms with each other. She hated me for no reason.
So it was only I and Anna who had this sisters time together. Moreover, when you had the intention of chosing a bride, I never wanted it to be her.
I wanted it to be Anna. But then, I found out that whatever it is that made her that way, it was fate. ” She folded her arms to her che-st as the cold grew icy.
Riguez pu-ll-ed off his jacket, wearing it on her b©dy. ” Thank you. She always talk about you,” she continued, ” every night she sees you in her dream.
We encouraged her to move on with other suitors who c@m£ asking for her hand in marriage but she refused. Like every thing we said went in deaf ears.
She insisted that she would marry you and spend the rest of her life with you. If there was anyone who deserves to be happy, it’s her.
You were the only one she thought about every single time. I have never seen her so much in love with you. ”
She adjusted the jacket on her b©dy. ” I hope she is safe out there. Let’s just hope things doesn’t turn out bad before she comes.”
