i alighted from the car,moving into the hospital properly alongside a guard behind me
the nurses on duties,kept on raining greetings on me as i walked past heading for Jeremy’s ward and all i did was nod my head in response to their endless greetings
the ringing of my phone prevented me from twisting the door knob to Jeremy’s ward
the caller ID was blank and i couldn’t tell who the caller was
i rolled my eyes briefly briefly before punching the answer bu-tton on the phone,placing it close to my ears
📱hello!
this is pumpkin hvggins on the line, who are you and how may i help you plea-se”i spoke into the abr@sively with an air of authority
there was a brief silence at the other end before the caller let out a brief throaty laughter
and i could tell the caller was a male
📱who are you and what do you want from me?”i spoke harshly into the phone with a perplex look on my face
whoever he is, he shouldn’t pl@yjokes with me
he shouldn’t even dare!
📱well, it isn’t surprising to know you could forget me so easily
spoilt br@t!”his thick voice boomed into my ears and my heart skipped

but why is he blackmailing me?

i.twisted it and walked into the ward to see many faces

dad seems to be on a phone call while my brother l@ylifeless on the be-d with so many medical attachments fixed into him
“the pres£nce of his mother isn’t a disturbance of any sort!
am here to see my son!”Robyn’s mum, Mrs peterson said and i shrink

she walked towards Jeremy,running her hands allover his almost lifeless b©dy and what the hell!
she’s crying!

everyone suddenly looked confused and the look on mum’s face could possibly kill
“what’s going on here mum!
what’s she talking about?”i asked shakily
“i don’t even un-derstand what’s going on pumpkin!
she just walked in here and……..”mum seems to be stuttering

i never knew her to stutter

“what’s going on doc!
you told us, he nee-ded to rest”dads voice boomed from where he had stood,shoving his hands into his pocket
“yeah i did Mr hvggins…. but”the doctor moved closer to Mrs Peterson, probably with the aim of telling her off but she let out a chill cry
“don’t even come closer!”she warned and i blinked my lashes repeatedly
seriously?
is this some sort of joke or something!
“honey can.you just st©p this whole drama and let us go back home!
i promise we are gonna trash it out when we get home”Mr Peterson yelled where he had stood beside the door
he looks frustrated alre-ady

it’s right now or never!”Mrs Peterson yelled and i was becoming damn confused
what exactly is going on here?!!”dad yelled if not roared

the young man right here is my son!”she cried and Mr Peterson face palmed himself before flouncing out from the room
“what exactly are you talking about Kate?”Davis mum asked in fear while mum had suddenly turned dumb
“i had a still birth many years back and my baby was a male
i single handedly placed those marks on him out of pain and sorrow
only for me to realise few days back that my son is alive and around me the whole time”she cried and dad’s eyes almost left it’s socket
“can’t you see she isn’t sane!
can’t you see she’s an imposter!
a gold digger and a lacernist”mum yelled in anger and fear
“that isn’t enough evidence madam!
what you are doing is foul!
you can be sued for defamation if we…..”the doctor tried saying
“the DNA!

why don’t you try out one”she ch!pped in smartly
de-ep down in me i knew there was more to this cause mum was almost shaking

“we will carryout a test and if we find out this accusation is true,i will make sure you cool your as-s off in jail”dad yelled at mum and stormed out in anger
is this really happening?
like,Jeremy isn’t my brother but Robyn?
what if she’s lying about the DNA test?

the rays of sunlight rushed into my eyes immediately I flurt them open
I let out a tired yawn
gosh!
I just feel like slee-ping all day, but I can’t!

“good morning sunshine”I heard that soft voice i keep hearing everyday
I nee-d no one to tell me who it was
“good morning babe”I replied letting out another yawn
I pushed the silky duvet aside and made to get up, my eyes fell on him
my husband
I froze for a second and almost bur-st into an endless laughter
seriously?
he had an apron and a kitchen cap on,his hands held a tray holding a transparent jug of tea and a flat plate with pancakes on it
this is preposterous!
when did he turned a chef over night?
“I made this for you honey!
why don’t you make do with it while i go prepare your bath”he offered gently placing the tray beside me where I had sat on the be-d
“thanks dear!
but you shouldn’t have bothered yourself with this, I would be going to school toady!
I plan on having breakfast in the cafeteria”I said and he kept mute twisting the hand he on against his f!ngers
oh! goodness!
my excuses were lame right?
I can’t bring myself to taste this meal
he’s a bad cook
and the last time I made me tea, I had to see my doctor cause I had a running stomach
the milk was too much, unlike my normal dosage
“honey!
I thought we’ve talked about this school stuff?”he asked and I ran my hands over my face
“yeah we did!
but babe, I will be done with high school in two weeks time!
plea-se don’t deny me the joy of having a memorable graduation p@rty with my friends”I pleaded and the look on his face were blank
“come off it Robyn, you know I can fix you into any college of your choice!
am sick and tired of my wi-de wearing some high w@!st, Sk-irt and Sleeve uniform like somefu-cking teenager!!”he almost yelled and I gulp in nervously

you don’t!!”he yelled flinging the hand towel far across the room
I took my eyes to the tray beside me, then back to my th!ghs,covering my face with my palms
I suddenly felt him closer to me, I pu-ll-ed my palms from my face to see him squ-atting beside me
“am sorry honey!
I didn’t mean to yell at you
I was paranoid”he apologized placing his hands on my cheeks and I let out a smile
“yeah baby I un-derstand
but I just want you to
o know that money isn’t everything, you can buy me the whole world, but you buying me school results that I didn’t work for,only means your wife is a dummy”I said and he cracked
“well, unfortunately and fortunately my wife isn’t a dummy”he replied and I rolled my eyes pla-yfully

he knows just how to counter every of my moves
“so what’s your stand,the time is tickling away”I asked with a baby tone and he exhale de-eply, holding my hands in his, his eyes held so much love and affection
and I can swear I will never find someone who can love me even as half as he does
his love is damn obvious even a blind man can clearly see it
“well, it’s your choice
you wish”he said and made to get up from his squ-atting position
I could tell he isn’t comfortable with the idea, I could tell my man is still angry

so decide for your wify”I pouted myl-ips at him and a smile broke on his face
he quic-kly conceal it with a blank expression
“well, you can do whatever that suites you,am fine with it”he said and I frowned
“it isn’t what suites me but what suites you.
whatever that suite you is gonna suite me perfectly plea-se!!”I pleaded frantically and he kept avoiding my gaze
“there’s nothing wrong in it
just that I don’t like seeing you on those….highschool clothe or something,
you look S-xy on them
yeah!
but it appeared childish!”he said running a hand over his face
“are you ashamed of me?
like,your ashamed your wify is still in highschool?”I asked staring keenly at him and he pop his head at me
“don’t say that Robyn,I can never be ashamed of you being in highschool
even if your still in elementary school” he said and cracked while I rolled my eyes
“just that I feel somewhat selfish being endowed and highly placed while my wify seems to be beneath me…….I wanna spoil you with wealth Robyn,I want you to taste every p@rt of me,
I want the whole of Dallas and even beyond to cherish and ardorn you more than they do to me
I want to make you special before every eyes”he said and I could see the hurt and guilt in his eyes
“come on honey, your the best husband to have such thoughts for your wife, I aren’t running away baby!
you have all the time in the world to shape and re-mould me to your taste and de-sire
being in highschool won’t pose as a distraction, besides I will be done in to weeks time”I cooed and he nodded wra-pping his hands on my w@!st,planting a soft k!sson myl-ips then on my cheeks, nose and woah!

“well, it’s fine!
I accept your decisions”he said and I smiled pu-lling the kitchen cap off his head
“this makes you look like some frustrated chef

I.can’t imagine the looks on the maids face on seeing you like this”I mouthed feigning an angry face and he had an innocent look plastered on his face
“are you ashamed of it?”he asked in all smiles

I should be!”I replied jocosely
“there’s nothing wrong in a husband trying to be a chef to his wife,besides I made use of the pri-vate kitchen and not the general kitchen”he said dumping the kitchen cap and apron in the trash can
no wonder he had the nerves to put them on
“how did you come about the pancakes?”I asked taking a glance at them
“Google!
I made them throu-gh the help of Google,
it took me a lot to make it
the first got burnt and the second was tasteless cause I forgot to add salt and sugar
it took me almost an hour to come up with this”he said and my eyes wi-de-ned in shock
“and you spent up the whole night cooking for me?!
babe!!
you shouldn’t have done that”I murmured concernly and he stood up
“I aren’t complaining!
have breakfast while I go prepare your bath”he said moving into the bathroom before I could protest
I think I nee-d to eat this then,I can’t let him waste his efforts after all
I took a sip from the tea
woah!
it was quite okay!
I took a bite from the pancake and my ton-gue almost fell off
hold on,he added chill pepper?
chill pepper in pancakes?
like who the hell does that?
“honey are you eating alre-ady?”his voice flowed from the bathroom
“yeah honey it’s tasty!”I replied running towards the trash can
