” Father, please, if you can do me this last favour, I will be honoured. ”
” Go ahead, son, I am listening. ” He permitted.
” Father, I wish to marry Sharon. ” He firmly said.
” Don’t you think doing so will only create war between you and your brother? ” He asked.
” I know, but this is my right, father. Yo thought me to be a man towards things that belongs to me. You made me know what’s right from wrong, and now I am doing according to your teachings, I only nee-d this favour from you. ”
” You want to marry Sharon? ” He repeated.
Louis nodded his head. ” Yes, father. ”
His father’s silence caused him a racing heart. He was involuntarily trembling, hoping for a good judgement from his father.
He was ready to face whatever consequences it was just to have Sharon. But the only thing he won’t withstand was the fact if watching Harvey take her away from him.
” Fine, do as you wish.” His father’s words were like a relief bomb to him. He kept gasping in excitement which made him almost speechless.
” Thank you so much, your majesty. Thank yo for un-derstanding. I will forever be grateful for this. I promise. ”
” It’s nothing, son. I made a promise to your mother, I’m only keeping to those promises. ”
” Thank you once again, father. ” He turned to go, but his father’s voice stopped him on his track.
” I’m aware of what is going on, be careful. ” He looked at his father with a surprise face. ” This is my home, son, I have eyes around. ” He smiled.
Louis smi-rked, he didn’t have to bother anymore explaining in details. Like his father has just said, he nee-ds to be very careful.
The Queen on the other hand, has finally prepared the poison, and she has put it in the king’s wine. But unfortunately, the king had lost appetite to take in anything.
When his servant walked in with the tray of his wine, he rejected it asking him to return it back. The servant went straight to the queen informing her that the King had rejected the wine offered to him.
She decided to take it to him herself. ” Your majesty, you look tired. Why don’t you have a sip of your wine. It is one of your favorite, I bet you don’t wanna miss a taste of it tonight. ” She convince him.
” Don’t worry, I will have a taste of it tommorow. Right now, I am not in the mood to have a taste of anything. I’m sorry to bother you. ”
I frowned in disappointment, waving it off immediately. ” No, it’s okay. Tomorrow then. ”
” Thanks for un-derstanding. ”
” I would do whatever it takes to make my husband happy. ” She faked a smile on her face.
” Are you aware… ”
” Aware of what your majesty? ”
” Are you aware that Louis has made up his mind to marry Sharon? ” He asked.
” Not at all, I doubt. So what was your reply then? ”
” I granted him his wish. ”
Disappointment clouded her face, and it was so obvious that one beside can notice it. ” Well, that is indeed a great news. ”

Did it work? ” Harvey asked and she threw the cu-p of wine to the ground. ” Mom, what’s going on with you? ”
” Can you believe that idiot just refused my offer despite how nice I was to him. ”
Nina sighed in defeat, with the majesty refusing the wine, nothing seems to be right anymore. ” What are we gonna do next? ”
The queen shook her head, “I don’t know. This was the only way to get our plan work out perfectly. ” Her breathing was ha-rd and heavy.
” Mom, are you alright? ” Harvey asked, noticing it. ” Mom, talk to me. ”
” Your father… he has granted Louis the wish to marry Sharon. This is pointless, we can’t do anything about it anymore. ”
” What?! How is that possible? ” Harvey raked.
” I think that bastard is smarter than we think. He possibly might have told his majesty before hand. No wonder why he refused to drink his wine. Maybe, Louis must have told him what we are up against. ”
” But how is that possible? He isn’t even here, and even if he tries to evesdrop on us, the guards will let us know that. ”
Harvey’s words made Sense. But the question is how? How did he get to know their plan?
” Don’t worry, mother, it’s not to late to come up with another plan. Louis might have worn again this time, but next time, we will have our way. ”
” Seriously? And you think this time we will get to him? You don’t know your father as much as I do, he’s gonna rush everything to make sure those two gets married. Your father is a difficult man, who knows what he is up against.
Whatever we can’t do now, we can’t do it again. If eventually Louis gets married to Sharon, then we are doomed. Not just me, but you two. ” She pointed at them. ” If you don’t want this marriage to work out fine, then you two better come up with a plan real quick or else, it gets too late. ”
Nina collap-sed on the sofa, ru-b-bing her forehead. She was ready to cry, nothing the Queen or Harvey made any sense to her.
She wished she was dead, and none of this would be a news to her. She was gonna live to watch the man she love marry another? Why her? Why just her?
Somehow, she also wished everything we’re nothing but a dream. A dream she could wake up from and find Louis pulling her into his emBr@ce. But she was only overthinking it all.
” I… ” She wept. ” This doesn’t make any sense at all. None of this does. ” She chuckled, tearfully. ” My whole , ” she sniffed. ” my whole life I’ve only wanted no one but him. Every night, I dreamt of him with me. We were always together, talking about our future.
He would ki-ss me in her head and tell me that he already has a great plan for us and our future. And morning I wake up, I pray for thing. I pray for them all to be real.
I pray for them to be my future. I always pray for the best of us. But now! ” She chuckled again. ” That bitc-h has just taken him away from me! ” She yelled. ” No I know, not all prayers are answered. ”
She stood up. ” No matter what, whether they get married or not. I won’t rest, not until I have him to myself. ” She exited the room.
Harvey heaved heavily. ” What now? ” He asked his mother.
” I don’t have any plan for now. I say we wait for a new one by tomorrow. ”
” What about Nina? ”
” What about her? ” She asked back.
” We can’t just let her go on her own. We are three into this plan, we nee-d to remain the way we were. ”
” She has chosen her fate, let her handle it herself. ” She stood up, leaving the room.

The king had organized their wedding as soon as possible, to avoid any obstacle that would come up to hinder the union between his son and his lover.
Two days later, Louis and Sharon happily got married, living their lives in one of the estates of his majesty where not even the Queen, Harvey or anyone can tamper with their love life.
Louis made Sharon to sit in his lap-s, ” You look beautiful day by day, what’s the secret? ”
” Do you think that’s necessary? Oh please, you are not a girl so I can’t tell you anything. ”
” So, I have to be a girl before you tell me what the secret is? ”
” As you can see, that’s the fact. A girl’s secret remains a girl’s secret. Not even us being married can change that. ”
” You’re just too difficult, I swear. ”
” Whatever. Besides, I wasn’t the one who made you a guy. ”
He laughed. ” So, what type of baby do you want us to have? ”
” Well, I was thinking of having a boy first then a girl. What do you think? ”
” I think having a girl first will be better. ”
” No, I want a boy. A boy can grow up and take a great responsibility unlike a girl. Sonic stand for a boy. ”
” I still stand for a girl first. Besides, I’m the one who gives you the child while you carry it. We’ll see who wins. ” He smi-rked.
