Ladies common mistake in a relationsh!p2 Episode 11 & 12

EPISODE 11

🍎💚 Monday morning, I left early for school and attended my first lecture as a final year student. It really brou-ght brief happiness to my life, ma-king me put all my fears behind me. I religiously faced my studies. Tuesday evening approached very fast, bringing Emmanuel with it. I was writing an as-signment when i heard someone knock on my door. I thought it was Mariam, but was a bit surprised to see Emmanuel standing nervously with a coloured face. “Hello” i greeted coldly, before paving way for him to enter my room. He calmly sat on my be-d, while i returned to my as-signment which i faced seriously. “Why haven’t you been answering my calls?” he asked calmly, “Because i have been very busy, which you can see for yourself” i replied coldly. “I c@m£ to apologize for the way i treated you on sunday” he said slowly, “You have nothing to apologize for, i perfectly un-derstand” i replied, “Seriously i’m yet to get myself, it hasn’t been easy for me” he tried to explain, but i interrupted him rudely. “You have no nee-d to explain yourself, let’s forget about it” i muttered without caring to look up at him. He stood up and drew close to me.. “I know you are still angry with me, tell me isn’t it so?” he asked searchingly.

“plea-se i’m not angry, allow me to concentrate on my as-signment, i still have four pages to cover” i replied with a slightly raised tone.

“I have to get going, it’s almost 6pm, do take care dearest” he murmured, stood hesitantly for a while before leaving my room. I never bothered to say goodbye to him. 5:15pm wednesday. Mariam dragged me to a boutique which was just few houses away from Emmanuel’s ap@rtment, giggling happily as she showed me the go-wn which made her drag me out by that hour. “Mary isn’t it beautiful?, i can’t afford waiting till tomorrow, because i can’t risk losing it for anything” she explained happily as i stared at the beautiful go-wn. She really was very right, the pink cute thing was well designed with a lovely material. “You are right dear, the go-wn is worth the trouble” i replied with a smile. She laughed and quic-kly paid for it. As we left the boutique minutes later, i begged her to accompany me to Emmanuel’s ap@rtment which was just few steps away. She wasn’t happy about it, but had no choice than to follow me. But you guys can’t imagine the surprise, shock and anger i felt when the door to Mike’s ap@rtment was opened by no other person than Stella, three minutes later.

“Oh dear good evening, I guess you are looking for Emmanuel, he went out minutes ago” Stella giggled with bright eyes. I breathed de-eply, as i desperately tried to control my temper. “It’s in our best interest to keep our thoughts quiet, let’s go” Mariam cleverly whispered, before dragging me away. “Ain’t you going to leave a message” i heard the obnoxious Stella ask as we left the building. I wasn’t myself as we headed back to our lodge that fateful evening, because not only was i jealous and angry, i equally was very doubtful of Emmanuel’s intention towards me.

My thoughts wandered aimlessly, while the police officer’s advice c@m£ rushing into my head, “You have seen nothing of what we call life’; your b©yfri£ndis false in heart, in mind, in soul; he has a false flattering ton-gue, falsel-ips, false principles, you better be careful” he had advised me on Sunday, but i choosed to ignore him. “Could he be right?” i wondered, “no no no Emmanuel won’t be so stupid as to get back with her, there must be a solid reason for her to be in his house” I fearfully concluded. Mariam and i didn’t say much to each other when we got back to the lodge. She soon retired to her room, while i settled to sleep, but i kept tossing on my be-d uneasily due to my unhappy thoughts. Unable to control my emotions, i dialed Emmanuel’s phone number only to get the greatest shock of my life.

“Hello Mary” he answered in an unusual manner seconds later, “I c@m£ to your house earlier in the evening with my friend, didn’t Stella tell you?” i asked. He kept quiet for some seconds. “No she didn’t tell me anything, why didn’t you wait for me to return or call my cell phone?, i could have rushed home instantly” he asked, “There isn’t any nee-d for that since your wife is alre-ady there” i answered coldly, “I wanted to explain this to you the last time i c@m£ over to your place, but you never granted me the audience, Emmanuel Said! “I am sorry to tell you this Mary, things can never work in between us anymore. Lets go our separate ways. I am so sorry……..”

He was still about apologizing when i switched off the phone instantly. I couldn’t believe my ears. I was totally confused on the next thing to do. I cried hell out that night and was lost in thought all throu-gh the night that i never knew it was day break alre-ady, and i’m to visit Samuel that very day together with Mariam accompany me. ________ Early the next day, we headed to Samuel’s family house, very scared, confused and nervous. but i was consoled with the fact that i was doing the right thing.

EPISODE 12
(FINALE) ❣️🌹
11am, Samuel’s family house. “I think coming here is a bad idea, we should go back” i nervously muttered when we got to the gate. Mariam scoffed and shook her head. “No no no madam, we ain’t going back, we are alre-ady here and we have to go ahead with what brou-ght us to this place, moreover it’s hundred percent your idea” she said to me as she firmly held my left hand. Without another word, we walked into the compound, cautiously with prayers in ourl-ips. We soon got to the entrance door, st©pped and stared at each other nervously. “What are you waiting for? Common knock on the door nau!” she urged as if it was a very simply thing to do. I swallowed ha-rd , shrugged and knocked gently. Two minutes later the entrance door was flung open by Samuel’s mother, who stared at us with a serious but not mean look, breathed de-eply and admitted us into the house politely, even though her smile was heavily cloaked with sharp coldness.

I searched for Samuel with my eyes as we walked into the sitting room, but unfortunately couldn’t locate him, which made me more uncomfortable, while his mum’s pointed gaze unsettled me greatly. I nervously settled on a couch with Mariam dutifully beside me. “My son told me you wanted to speak with me?” the old woman asked after some minutes had gone by. I breathed de-eply, ru-bbe-d my knees nervously, nodded and smiled, “plea-se where is Benjamin?” i asked calmly, “I s£nt him on an errand, i thought you only wanted to speak with me, don’t you?” she asked curiously with a burning gaze, “Yes ma, his pres£nce is really not nee-ded” i murmured with a coloured face, “Actually i c@m£ to render an apology” i stammered, while she drew forward on her chair, feigning surprise and pretending as if she wasn’t aware of what i c@m£ to do.

Her action truly unsettled me further, i was so nervous. I was doing something i haven’t seen any girl do and the old woman was ma-king it more difficult for me with her intense behaviour. I tried to continue with my apology but was unable to, all i was able to do was just to throw a nervous glance at Mariam who gave me an encouraging smile. I never knew rendering a sincere apology could be so difficult.

Just at that very moment, Samuel walked in with a lady right beside him. “Hi Mary”, “Am glad you c@m£ as you promised”… he said has he sat on a seprate couch with the lady beside her. At this point i was getting jealous seeing Samuel with a lady beside him. I garnered some confidence and apologized immediately to her mum.

“Its no problem Mary, have forgiven you long time ago”. “Hope you will be coming to my sons wedding next-week” she asked? I was shocked and surprised at the same time! At that moment Samuel threw a card at me; it confirmed what her mum just said, it was an invitation letter to his wedding with the lady right beside her…. Unfortunately, it was too late for me…I fainted immediately after re-ading the content of the invitation letter. –
The End-
