I arranged my stuffs in my bag then switched off the light and headed out of my office. I locked the door and headed for the elevator. I was lucky no one was in the elevator in the sixth floor cuz I really needed some alone time. It was an underground building so I typed ‘1’ on the button then shut my eyes as the elevator moved.
Work was quite stressful today though it has always been stressful coupled with going to school it’s not that easy.
The elevator beeped then opened and I stepped out and headed for the exit. I got to the parking lot and had to show the security man my ID as an agent before I was allowed to go in. I walked sluggishly to my car and dumped myself on the drivers seat. Though I was too tired to drive I managed to drive till I got home.
I pulled my car in the drive way and got down then I walked to the porch. With one ring of the door bell the door was opened by the maid and I stepped in.
“welcome ma’am” she greeted and I gave a slight nod as response
“Goodevening dad” I greeted as I sighted my dad sitting in the living room and going through his lap top.
My dad Greg Anderson is also a CIA agent and I also learnt that my mum was one before she died.
“welcome princess” my dad greeted beaming with smiles
“how are doing?”
“am so tired dad”
“it’s like that most times” dad said with a shrug
“it’s like that all the time” I corrected then sat down beside him on the couch
“what are you doing?” I asked as I gazed at his system
“just hacking through some files in the district office”
“George gave me an assignment” I informed
“he already called to tell me”
“dad don’t you think am too young for this? Am just 19”
“that doesn’t matter Trisha it’s not illegal”
“I should be focusing on my studies”
“this is gonna be your last mission I promise”
“you said that two years ago” I sighed
“this time it’s real”
“whatever” I sighed waving my hands in the air and my dad chuckled
“I already enrolled you in the school you’ll begin tomorrow”
“don’t I even get a rest?”
“you have all night for that”
“my life is a mess dad I keep changing schools and it affects my learning I don’t even have Friends”
“you don’t need that Trisha friends leads to ends you don’t need an end now and you don’t need friends”
“especially boys” dad added
“seriously? Am 19 and I’ve never dated cuz of some silly agency”
“there’ll be time for that”
“when am an agent? There won’t be time I’ll just end up marrying you”
“you don’t need boys princess” dad said then pecked me on my hair and walked to his room with his laptop.
I sighed in frustration then picked up my bag and staggered to my room. I dropped my bag carelessly then peeled off my clothes and stepped into the shower. After a long cold bath, I put on my pajamas and fell on my dead. I was dog tired, I dimmed the light of my bedside lamp then drifted into dreamland.
“Ahhhh” I used a pillow to cover my ears but the annoying sound still came. I stretched out my hand then picked whatever it was that was ringing cuz I had no idea what it was and smashed it on the wall that was when I realized that it was my alarm clock.
“oh God!” I got up in a startled and stared at my broken alarm clock
“dad is gonna kill me” I sighed then ruffled my hair and laid back on the bed.
“Trisha” dad hurled through the land line then I jerked wide awake
“you better be down here in a jiffy” he ordered then I rushed into the shower.
I’ll have to break that damn land line oneday.
I took a quick shower and ran into my closet to pick out an outfit. I picked a sweet denim jeans and violet flouncy midriff top. I didn’t bother making up cuz I don’t really do that…
“Trisha” dad hurled again through the land line. I quickly wore a teal wedge sandals, picked up my bag and that was when I glanced at the wall clock.
“oh! my gosh! 8:45 on my first day in school” I dashed out of my room and took long strides down the stairs.
“you’re always late” dad seethed in rage
Does he ever remember that I come back from the office by 10?
“sorry dad Goodmorning dad” I said at once but he did reply, he just glared at me and walked out. I shrugged then ran out of the house and drove off in my car
I drove into the school’s parking lot and parked my car then I walked out. I was so late and I had to report at the principals office first. I turned to my right and that was when I remembered I didn’t know the way to his office.
I turned left the right then left again. I was so confused.
I heard the bells ringing then I ran out of the parking lot and bumped into someone and his books fell.
“am so sorry” I apologised
“hey! You’re so blind go get glasses” he half yelled
“I already apologised”
“save your apologies” he hushed then I rolled my eyes skyward
“don’t touch my books” he slapped off my hands
“I just wanna help”
“your hands are infected” he said in disgust

I got pissed then made to stand up but my ankle was hurting me. I cried out in pain then I heard the annoying guy chuckle. I tried walking but my ankle hurt more then I tool off my wedge and held it in my hands. The annoying guy still didn’t offer to help instead he walked out.
I staggered out of the parking lot crying in pain when a handsome guy came out of no where.
Oh! He must be my guardian angel.
“what happened to you?” He asked in concern
“I sprained my ankle”
“lemme help” he offered and before I could say ‘Jack Robinson’ he hoisted me up the ground and Carrie me bridal style. It was awkward and I felt embarrassed as students gathered gossiping and taking pictures of us.
“Hey! Put me down” I said in a whisper trying to hide my embarrassment
“shhh! You can’t walk” he hushed then walked into a long corridor
“where are you taking me? I need to see the principal”
“not like this” he replied then came to a door that was written ‘clinic’. He pressed a button and the door opened automatically. He carried me in and placed me on a bed.
“wait here” he said then walked out and returned almost immediately with a nurse
“what happened to her?” the nurse asked him
“I fell and sprained my ankle” I replied instead
“let me see” she said then I stretched out my leg and she held my foot then twisted it right to left repeatedly
“it’s gonna be fine it’s nothing serious” she said
“but she can’t walk”
“I’ll recommend a wheelchair”
“what? On my first day at school?” I protested
“just for today so you wouldn’t have to stress your ankle”
“thank you” I mouthed as he pushed me out of the clinic in a wheelchair
“you welcome.. By the way am Chase” he introduced
“Chase Dalton” he completed
“am Trisha Anderson”
“you new here?”
“I’ll take you to the principal’s office”
“no you don’t have to you’ve helped alot I’ll be fine” I protested
“yes thanks alot”
“you don’t have to thank me” Chase said with a smile then walked out.
Wait! I don’t know where the principal’s office is
“Chase” I called but he was already gone
“aish! What kind of badluck is this?” I asked myself as I ruffled my hair in frustration
“hello…you look lost” a brunette haired girl said walking up to me
“am new here and I can’t find my way to the principal’s office”
“okay I’ll help you.. You can’t walk?”
“I sprained my ankle this morning”
“ok.. Am Eva Bobbler” she introduced herself
Eva smiled sweetly then pushed my wheelchair to the principal’s office. When we were in, I tactically scanned his office with my eyes while he gave me the school map, my time-table, and books.
“you’re welcome to Starshine High” The principal said with a smile that showed his artificial gold tooth
“thank you sir” I replied as I studied the tooth
Eva bowed slightly then pushed my wheelchair out of his office.
“what do you have now?” she asked when we were outside the principal’s office
“Theatre arts” I replied
“guess you’re an art student”
“am a science student so I’ll be going now”
“you’re welcome.. Bye Trisha see you at lunch”
I heaved a sigh then wheeled my chair to the Theatre room with the help of my map. I opened the door and I was hearing voices, I took a peek into the room and some students sat around the stage while some where acting on the stage. I quitely opened the door fully and wheeled my chair inside that was when I saw the annoying guy I bumped into earlier. He was acting on stage with a beautiful girl and they were acting ‘Romeo and Juliet’ my favourite Shakespeare
“you’re late” I heard someone yell then I turned to see the teacher, a lady in her early thirties scowling at me
“am sorry I had an accident when I got here” I tried explaining but my voice wasn’t audible
“send her out” the arrogant guy told the teacher with a wink then she blushed and turned to me
I fought the urge to cry as I took a glance at the arrogant guy but he just had an annoying smirk on his face. I wiped my tears and wheeled out my chair,
“hey! Why are you crying?”
I looked up to see who spoke
“Eva I was sent out of the class” I sniffed
“cause I was late”
“you shouldn’t be crying over that”
“it was all his fault”
“the arrogant jerk”
“never mind” I faked a smile
Eva shrugged then pushed my wheelchair down the hallway.
“would you like to…” Eva was still speaking when the bell rang
“there would be no need for that it’s lunch time” she added gleefully then pushed my wheelchair to the cafeteria.
“I’ll go get us lunch” she said as she stopped me on a table then walked out.
I studied around as I saw students carrying their trays about looking for tables then suddenly I felt someone smash ice cream on my face and I looked up in rage and it was the arrogant jerk
“sorry you’re just too too tiny to see” he mocked then walked out
“this is it..
