🥺 MARE 🥺
Everything is going according to the plan and I can say I am well plea-sed with the kind of friends I made first year in college. Bryan drive down to the road to a local press office I had always visited when I was a child.
I am quite familiar with a man there, they are not really popular like that and the man had always suffered trying to get a news that will give them a hit, I know what this great news is capable of doing so I am going to be helping this man and myself too🤭.
Bryan halt in the front of an old bungalow that looks like it going to tear ap@rt anytime soon.
“This place?”Bryan asks in disbelief.
“Just stay here I will be right back”I said unlocking the seatbelt unfortunately I was unable to do it.
“It stuck”I complain.
“There is no way I am allowing you go into that place”he hover a bit to my side and help me un-hook the belt.
“I can protect myself”I replied.
I was expecting him to sit back when he was down un-hooking the belt but instead he stay in the position and stare at me.
“I am coming with you”he said to my face.
“Fine!”I blurt looking side way.
“Are you scared of looking into my eye?”he asks.
“What?!”I push him off me and quic-kly alight taking in the new air.
He join me afterwards and we head into the almost shredded building. “I don’t think it a good idea”he whisper.
“It is an awesome idea”I correct him with an eye roll.
“Mare”the man called in surprise on seeing me in his office.
“Yeah”I replied shinny my teeth at him.
“How are you doing? I haven’t been seeing you lately”he said, I look over at Bryan and he is staring at the place with so much disgust on his face especially the old newspapers the man packed into a shelf a long time ago.
“I went to college”I replied.
“I am so happy for you”he replied.
“Thanks”It good not to be forgotten in my hometown atleast someone remember my existence.
“So what bring you here today?”he asks with his eye on Bryan “And who is he? your b©yfri£nd?” he asks curiously
“No”
“Yes”
“I can see”the man smiled.
“What is your problem Bryan I alre-ady told you we aren’t d@t!nganymore”I scoff.
“I am glad you got someone who loves you”the man interrupted.
“No we aren’t…”I tried to explain.
“I un-derstand, so what bring you here?”
“I have a great news for you that will turn a old magazine into a popular news station”I gr-ab a chair and sit while Bryan choose to do the standing throu-ghout.
“What are you talking about?”he look at Bryan then back at me.
“I have a news against Mrs Williams”I replied, he look at me then at Bryan again. This is becoming too much.
“I am sorry I can’t do it”he reject even before I could start.
“I told you coming here isn’t going to be good”Bryan stated.
“Will you let me”I shun him off.
“Whatever”he said and I face the man back.
“Why are you rejecting it even before hearing my side of story?”I questioned.
“Mare don’t sound like I don’t want to help you but I know what the woman is capable of doing to any press that say a word against her and look at me I don’t even have a good station yet I am sorry”he explains.
“Why don’t you listen to my story”I persuade.
“I am sorry Mare”he replied.
“plea-se just this once, if you aren’t interested I will just take my leave okay”I beg.
“Fine, I am listening” I look at Bryan and he nod his head for me to go ahead.
“This is what really happened…”
WRITER POV
While Mare was explaining everything to the press, Nina mom seems to panick on seeing the message she had received from the mail box this morning.
She feels guilty for hurting the poor girl but she isn’t the owner of the final say.
“Get me my phone”She order the guard who turns out to be Liam disguising in the house.
This is really bad for him because he doesn’t even know where the phone is but he rush out and c@m£ back with a phone he saw on her desk. He bow and give the phone to her.
“You must be new?”She asks and his heart skip a beat.
“Yes ma’am”he replied raising no suspect even though his heart is racing right now.
“Oh!”that all she said and collect the phone from him.
She press into it and place it on her left ear whilst taking a glance at Liam who seems to be familiar to her but doesn’t know if he is actually p@rt of her guards.
PHONE CONVERSATION
Nina mom 📲 There is nothing good about the morning.
Bryan father 📲 What’s wrong?
Nina mom 📲I receive a threatening mail today that I better spill out everything I know.
Bryan father 📲 And so?
Nina mom 📲 I’ve you forgotten we did this together and if I am going down same as you
Bryan father 📲 Says who? See woman I am very busy and if you dare try anything stupid. I will let you lose your fame in a blink of an eye.
I know something is wrong somewhere when that stupid woman elope. Nob©dy is going to take my wealth from me.
Nina mom 📲 It was never yours now listen me, I give you just one hour if you don’t find out about the mail I got this morning then I will expo-se us all.
She hang up even before the old man could utter a word again.
“Ma’am”another guard walk in holding another letter Nina had put there again to trigger her anger.
“What is this?”She asks,
“A letter for you my Lord”She gr-ab it r0ûghly and tear the envelope ap@rt only to reveal the same letter again.
“Who drop this?”She yelled.
“I don’t know ma’am”he replied.
“You mean someone had been dropping a letter in the mailbox and non of you saw her?”She yelled.
“I am sorry ma’am”
“Call the press”she ordered
“But ma’am”
“I said call the press”She yelled angrily.
“Okay ma”the guard seems surprised at her sudden change of character because he knows she hates seeing the press but inviting them in by herself too him by surprise.
“I think I know a press that will be interested in a case like this”Liam interferes, that caught their attention.
“And who are you?”the guard asks.
“What kind of silly question is that isn’t he p@rt of you?”the woman asks.
“Hold on, I just said I have a press that won’t attra-ct crowd and attention from other people he will come and go without no traces”he added trying to get the guards words off my mind.
“Bring him in”She ordered and walk away.
“Ma’am”the other guard try to warn her but she walk away without listening to whatever he has to stay.
“Hey dude, if you want to last long you better shut your mouth and let me do my job”Liam threatened before walking away.
Liam:So did the press agree? he asks throu-gh the line.
Mare: Yes and we are on our way.
Liam: Good, I am glad you heard the conversation now don’t take too long because I am about to be expo-sed.
Mare: On it!
John: Guys can you just do whatever you have to do and come back home I am bored and can’t even leave the house.
Leo: Shut the cra-p!
Nina: Can you guys be serious for once.
John: Noted *Mare roll her eye unconsciously because of their childish behavior.

“Wait this is it?”Nina mom asks in disgust when she saw the press Liam had bring to her. Mare and Bryan stay far away from the building and Nina who is still around joined them in the car and they wait patiently for the outcome.
“Yes ma’am”Liam replied.
“This is gross”She yelled.
“I am sorry ma but he seems to be competent and the best I could find”he replied.
“Get him out of my house”She yelled.
“Ma’am I am really sorry, I’m a fan and I will love to hear your of the whole story”the man stated.
“What story if I may ask?”She request.
“What did you do with the patient you took from BLOOMING CARE HOSPITAL on the 11th of March this year”he said and her b©dy tensed down and fear catch her.
“What did you just say?”She asks.
“I was very clear madam”he replied.
“Where did you get this man from?”She yelled at Liam.
“Start speaking alre-ady”he replied and the man set out his record c@m£ra including his own and book.
“Who are you people?”
“I am Liam McPherson the son of the man you’ve been working for and I asks you to speak!!”he ordered.
“Oh no!”Mare and Bryan is right exchange glance on hearing that. He is overdoing it.
“I think I nee-d to get into that house”Nina added.
