Leo drive into Sean compound and we both quic-kly alight from the vehicle and walk as fast as possible into the house but strangely we both didn’t run in.
“What do you mean by Fred is missing?”I asks barging into the house only to meet Sean sitting on the couch looking so lost but he sit up immediately he saw me walk in with Leo.
“I woke up this morning and discove he ran away, I knew we shouldn’t have trust that bastard he deceive us in believing he is a saint we could trust when clearly everyone knows it a lie”he blabbered.
“You nee-d to calm down Sean”Leo interferes.
“How do you expect me to calm down when he has all information and prove against that evil man”he stated.
“Just calm down okay”I said to him.
“Can you guys st©p telling me to calm down”
“I didn’t give him the real card”I blurt, his b©dy tensed down hearing this from me.
“I thought…”
“I change the memory card before I leave the house that night and the right one is this with me”I replied.
“So you mean the memory card he elope with his fake?”he asks to confirm and I nod my head.
“Wow so what is your plan?”he asks.
“Since Leo is here and he seems to be so supportive, I alre-ady made my research on the memory card and it turns out to be useless because it only contains pictures of my dad and your father”I point to Leo.
“So why is he still chasing after you?”
“I have thought about that too and it turns out to be he is using this to create fear in me just like Bryan had said and luckily he is getting what he wants”
“So where is the proof?”
“The proof is me!”I replied and they both stare at me like I am crazy.
“I am not crazy guys he is doing all this on purpose just to get me and give me am hint on who I actually I’m and what I am capable of doing and that why he kidnap mom”
“The only person that can bring him down is Nina mom and I don’t want to get Nina into this and that why…”
“So you think I will support my mom in destroying my best friend”Nina barged into Sean Living room.
“Nina!”I called in surprise. “What are you doing here?”I asks.
“I don’t think that answer my question”She seems to be so mad. How did she even know about…I pause for a sec when Bryan walk in.
“Did I asks you to go about spilling out nons-en-se”I lash at him immediately.
“How long are you guys going to keep this from us?”Liam walk in too and my b©dy tensed down.
“I thought we are family and someone is dying inside but you choose to keep it to yourself?”Joh too catwalk in.
“Seriously?”I face Bryan.
“I don’t have a choice they all believe your bull$h!t”he shrug with no sign of a guilty conscience.
“Leo you knew about it too?”Nina asks in surprise.
“I was planning on telling you guy but…”
“But when?”Leo got interrupted by John.
“Just before someone with a big mouth spill it to you”he replied.
“Exactly someone that will never believe this bull$h!t”Bryan added and I scoff
“Bryan can we not talk about this right now”I shun him off.
“So when are you guys planning to tell us especially you Mare”Nina point at me.
“I just don’t want to break your heart”I explain.
“What about now?”She questioned.
“See Nina if I had told you your mom knows about it will you have believe me because clearly Bryan discourage me alre-ady”I replied.
“I am willingly to help”She replied.
“I don’t un-derstand what are you saying?”
“I knew something is wrong somewhere when mom become over nice and to be honest she told me she alre-ady gave your mom a befitting burial and even renovate your house as a surprise for your upcoming birthday which she plan on inviting you back we no suspicious activity”Nina added.
“That’s a lie”I scream in disbelief.
“Mare you never mention your birthday d@t£ to me and the fact it around the corner”Bryan interrupts.
“That because you never cared about asking me and what the point now we alre-ady break up remember”I said to his face and sincerely I know that hurt him not after I k!sshim this morning.
“Will you guys focus”Sean hit his hand together. I take my eye away from him because I am starting to hurt myself again because of him, obviously I don’t think I will be able to get over Bryan anytime soon.
“Since you all know now what do you intend to do because you didn’t all come here to fight my cousin for turning against your biological parents”Sean stated.
“Like seriously? I c@m£ here to be useful”Liam blurf as he slump on one of the couch.
“What are you doing?”I seems lost at the smile that form on Nina face.
“Mare even if this is a lie or not real, you are our best friend and we will definitely help you”Nina said and a smile tug on myl-ips.
“Are you guys for real?”Leo asks in surprise.
“Yeah but that doesn’t mean I have forgiven you”John said to Leo.
“I guess I don’t have a choice now”Bryan scoffs.
“You are helping me?”I asks in surprise.
“I don’t know”he walk pas-s me and head straight to the couch beside Sean and slump down there.
“Wait where is Jennifer?”I asks, realizing her pres£nce is null here.
“She left alre-ady?”Nina replied.
“To school?”I asks in surprise.
“School? She left before anyone wakes up this morning leaving no traces and all her luggages gone too”Nina replied.
“Why?!”
“I guess she completed her mission soon or it actually failed because she told you the truth instead of keeping the from you”John added.
“You have been eavesdropping on our conversation”I arched my brows at me.
“I couldn’t help it when you started acting suspicious and I got my curious when you dumb this j£rk”he point at Bryan.
“Excuse me! we didn’t drop each other as-s okay!. We nee-ded space that all”Bryan replied feeling agitated.
“Oh that explain the k!ssthis morning”he break the chain.
“What k!ss?”Nina asks.
“Can you guys st©p interfering in our relationsh!pit meant to be between us okay”I st©p all the whole argument that will definitely turn to a fight again.
“Whatever”John scorn.
“Jennifer leave the house not because her mission failed but her life is in danger also or she is doing it for me, she was the one that told me my mother is still alive isn’t that the best sacrifice”I replied.
“Guys!”I turn and saw Sean and Leo on the couch cudd-ling each other alre-ady, like seriously?. How did their boat not end up sinking like mine?.
“If your mother is truly alive, that means Nina mom lied to her daughter and now if I remember correctly you said the only person that can bring him down and expo-se him is Nina mom what were you insinuating?”Leo asks.
“Nina mom is an influencer person in the society, country and world. TV pres£nter are dying to book appointment with her just to hear her story”
“And what are you driving out”Bryan asks.
“Will you just let me finish?”I asks.
“Oh!”that all he manage to say.
“And that exactly what I am using against her”I hit my hands together.
“Her popularity?”Nina questioned.
“Yeah and I know you guys are supporting but I nee-d to tell you the truth if this turns out to be true then your mom will put behind bars and your Dad too”I muttered lowly.
“I know it going to be tough for me but if I don’t do this my guilty conscience will never let me be till I die”Nina replied.
“I know too but he had always treated our moms like they are nothing just because we were given birth too out of wedlock so he face whatever consequences ahead because I always knew his hand weren’t clean”Liam scoffs.
“But my Mom is a legal wife?”Bryan stated
“I am afraid she is p@rt of this and always knew about her husband in and out evil act”I added.
“Just go on with your plan things will be fine with me if you don’t leave”he replied, it took me seconds to process those words, I know others might not un-derstand but I think I got the message. He knows I might decide to go back home after everything but does he really thinks I will do that?.
I don’t plan on taking the property, they can all have it. I just wants to be with my mother again and have him back in my arms again. I am definitely going back for my love after all this but for now I nee-d to act tough to get what I want, my mother.
I was still thinking about this when my phone rings, it an unknown number and I have to excuse myself to pick it up.

📱 Snowflake. Tears roll down my eye when hear her call me that, she is the only one that call me that and that confirms she is really the one talking to me from the other side of the phone.

“Are you okay Mare”Nina asks as I end the call and walk back to join them.
“Yeah, my mom just called me”I said.
“What?!”they all said in unison.
“She asks me to come home”I added.
“No! what if someone is faking to be her just to decieve you back home?”Liam stated.
“I don’t think so, she is the only one that calls me snowflakes and are you saying I don’t recognize my mom voice?”I asks in disbelief.
“That not what he is saying, it too dangerous Mare”Nina added.
“There is no way I am going to allow you go back there”Sean added.
“What wrong with you all, if I go back home I can be able to convince Nina mom and the only way justice can prevail”I replied.
“Then if you insist on going we are all coming with you”Bryan stated.

“Bryan is right and I totally agree with him”John interrupts.
“And when do you starts supporting Bryan?”I asks.
“Since he starts saying the right thing”
“We are all going Mare whether you like it or not!”Nina concludes.
“My house isn’t big enough for us all or have you forgotten I come from a very poor family?”
“We will survive and we are in this together so can you st©p looking for stupid excuse us?”John questioned.
“I will have to go pack my stuff now we can all leave tonight and we will arrive home tomorrow morning”Nina suggest.
“Okay! but Nina you can’t tell your mom about it remember we are meant to be in school and not…”
“I un-derstand”Nina thumbs up and I smile.
“Let do this!”John cl@p his hands together.
“I heard you are such a great chef and I will like to taste your meal”Liam stand up and head to the kitchen.
“Don’t t©uçh my stuff”Sean quic-kly excuse himself from Leo and head over to the kitchen too.
“So what is your plan?”Leo ask, I went over to sit beside him.
“We nee-d to make Nina mom confess but I don’t know how that is ever going to be possible”I replied.
“Hmmm…I have a plan”Nina raise her hand up even though it isn’t necessary.
I exchange glance with Leo before looking back at him.
“Nina are you sure because this is your mom we are talking about”I arched my brows.
“And that what makes it easy, she is my mother and I know what freaks her out the most”She replied.

“A message?!”
“Message?!”that sounds so dumb right now because I don’t see how something like that will work for a woman like that. She controls big company and even win contract and snatch able bodied men contract with no fear and a message will freak her out?.

Around 6:00pm, we drive out of the compound with our loads in the car booth. We took just Bryan car and John to avoid suspicion and Sean took a leave from his work place so we head straight to my hometown, where everything starts.
I go in John car even though I could feel Bryan glare pouring into me and his hands clenched into fist but I wasn’t going to let that affect me.
Leo, Sean and I follow John while Nina, Liam went in Bryan car.
It getting late, I don’t know why they choose to go in the night but they wanted to sign if them getting into the town or been noticed and I un-derstand that so I won’t push it far.
I didn’t realize when I drifted off in the car during the ride home until I felt someone tap me. I gro-an ed as I feel been disturbe-d. “Mare get up we are here”I can hear Sean voice but I can’t differentiate if it in my dream or it happening for real.
“Mare we are here!!”Sean yelled and my eye fling open only to see him staring at me angrily just because I had rest my head on his shoulder throu-ghout.
“I am sorry”I wipe my face to see clearly, I look around and found out we are home alre-ady but it so dark.
“What is the time?”
“Almost midnight, let go inside”he said, I nod my head and alight from the car. Nina and Liam alight from Bryan car too and we head into the house. I turn the door knob and surprisingly it open up immediately revea-ling…
“Mom”I pu-ll her into a de-ep hvg with tears rolling down my cheek when I feel her hand round my b©dy.
“I am sorry”I cry as I hvg her ti-ght like I am going to lose her it I pu-ll away again. After mother and daughter section, I pu-ll away and realize she had been crying too.
“Who are this?”She asks noticing the stranger in the house.
“This is my friends from school that I live with, they didn’t trust the caller thinking it might be a plan stuff so they follow me back home”I replied.
“Welcome my children”Mom said to them and a smile tugged on myl-ips. They all feel so comfortable in my little house even when it can’t be compared to what they stay in and the mansion back at petraka.
“Mom, this is Nina my best friend”I introduce, my mom stare at her for while.
“She looks like the lady that c@m£ to fetch me at the hospital that night”She glare at her weirdly.
“Nina mom c@m£ to get the at the hospital?”I asks in surprise.
“Is that her name?”Mom asks,
“Let discuss about this later but mom meet Nina my one and only best friend”I added.
“You are so beautiful”Mom t©uçh her face taking Nina by surprise.
“Thanks ma”
“Sean?”Mom called in surprise.
“Yes momma”Sean giggles, I chuckled silently.
“What are you doing here too, I thought you left with your parent to the states?”She asks in surprise.
“Yeah that what I thought too but they were murdered a night before”Sean said sadly.
“I am so sorry dear”Mom apologise.
“I got over it alre-ady”Sean replied.
“I am really sorry, I knew I should have said something when I started getting those strange messages from an unknown identity, your father told me everything that night before he left but I was too scared to tell you about it and that the reason I s£nt you to petraka to he save”She replied.
“It fine mom, I know the truth now and luckily the solution”I replied.
“What do you mean by you find the solution, Nina do you plan on hurting your mom?”She turn to face Nina.
“Mom it not only about Nina, the four guys sitter here turns out to be McPherson real sons”I replied.
“McPherson?”
“After your fake death, Nina mom s£nt me back to school where I live in their house and not the dorm”I replied.
“And they are all willingly to help in bringing him down?”She asks in surprise.
“Yes”I replied.
“Wow!”
“So what should I offer you guys?”I asks them.
“Just show me to your room I am feeling so sleepy right now, we can continue the discussion tomorrow”John yawned and I roll my eye.
“I am really sorry guys but there is only two rooms in this house and that for my mom and me, obviously Nina will be staying with me so can you guys manage the couch?”I requests.
“Arrrrrrrghhhh”he gro-an ed.
“You guys insist on coming here so no one should complain”I roll my eye.
“Wait, we haven’t talk about something”Leo change the t©pic.
“What’s that?”
“How did your mom escape and obviously Nina mom must have been keeping an eye on this place”
“I had been a p@rticular room where no one ever showed up, I only get the chance to eat snacks with no water for days now”
“What?!”I yells,
“This morning, the door of the room open for the first time so I got terrified thinking it my turn to be executed but instead this p@rticular guy and girl save me and she order me to come home and even give me this phone to call you. I don’t know who they are but that girl knows you Mare. She told me I should asks you to come home as early as possible that all”She explained.
“Can I see the phone?”Bryan asks, everyone seems puzzled wait for whatever Bryan is about to do. My mom pas-s the phone to Bryan.
“Guys!! it Jennifer phone?”he said looking so confused.
“Do you even recognize her phone st©p been….”
“Guys I know this phone and….”he turn on the phone.
“Jennifer is on the home screen”he turn it towards us and show it us.
Jennifer save my mom?. where the hell is she right now?!
