I went in and served their own food in a separate plate and brou-ght it for them.
“Why do you want to eat this food?” Michael asked her.
“Baby st©p asking and feed me pls”she responded sounding so pampered and it reminded me when I was his (Michael’s wife) that was how I behaves and he tolerates them including every insults from me.
I felt a little jealous before I realised that it were all my fault and must not blame anyone about that.
The sitting room was so calm as silent engulf the all place only the sound of spoons colliding with the plates we were eating with.
“My name is Adanna babe, can you tell use what you want now or later?”the lady asked after eating her food and drank a lot of water.
“Anytime, first of all am sorry for everything, I accept any blame sir”I said and paused.
“St©p it! Am not talking to you!
Talk straight to the person you are interacting with”Michael yelled and i shrunk.
“Am carrying your baby and i don’t want to get angry baby.
Can you pls calm down?”Adanna said and Michael smiled and pe-cked her ro-mantically.

She is pregnant for Michael?
I thought they were just pla-ying me or trying to make me jealous.
Gosh! she is alre-ady taken over my home.
“Can you continue pls?”the lady reminded me and i blinked like I was just waking up from dream.
“Am here for two things, one is to ask for forgiveness and the other is to find a job” I replied.
“You gonna be kidding me because your father is a job giver, how can you look for a job?” Michael asked laughing so unbelievably.
“Yes he was but not now, my dad is now late” I replied with teary eyes and i noticed a very sudden shock on Michael’s face.
“Dead?
Mr Nduka is dead? My own father without my notice?
Nob©dy bothered to tell me?”Michael cried looking so pained and i un-derstood what he was pas-sing throu-gh then.
My dad was his best friend, though he was a very strict being but he liked Michael and that was because of his sincerities and ha-rd working.
My dad took him like his own son and made sure he didn’t feel fatherless throu-gh out his staying with us.
Michael was t©uçhed about my dad’s dep@rture and i noticed it in his face and throu-gh his reactions.

Adanna might think that she knew what am talking about but she lied, she don’t know.
The man am talking about is the only person that accepted me in his family when I has no one to help me. He is the only person with the help of his wife that sponso-red my education and and lifted me from nob©dy to someb©dy.
I wished to make them proud and be the son they never had but i failed them because of Sonia’s sudden change.
My own blood brother dispersed me for years now which I don’t know if he is still alive or not but they never fail me.
“We have to see her pls”I said and wiped off my tears.
“When baby?” Adanna asked.
“Today, when are they going to bury dad?” I asked Sonia.
“It has been done last month”she replied and i felt so much disappointed.
So I can’t see Mr Nduka again?
“Just like that?
This is the worst thing that has happened to me”I cried.
We set off for the journey and arrived very late in the night that day, everywhere was so dark when we arrived.
Mr Nduka’s family is about becoming a grave yard, everywhere were so calm, it was only a lantern on the table where mum was lying down.
“Mum! What is happening here?”I asked with tears as i couldn’t recognize her anymore.
She is looking like a skeleton, so shabby and unkempt unlike Mrs Nduka who dresses descent and looks attrac-tive.
She grudgingly lifted her head and i helped her sat up on the chair resting her head on my l@ps.
“My son (She started crying) am sorry for accusing you wrongly pls forgive me” she paused and started coughing.
“This is not time for apology mum, I un-derstand and i have forgiven you pls.
Let’s go to the hospital immediately, I am not re-ady to become an orphan for the second time pls”I pleaded with tears still couldn’t believed that it’s Mrs Nduka that am seeing.
“No nee-d my son, all i nee-d from you is to take good care of my daughter here for me”she said and continued coughing.
This is not time to discuss Sonia nor anyone.
“Lets go to hospital first pls mum”I said and lifted her above my arms to my car.
Adanna and Sonia joined me in the car and we took her to the hospital immediately and we blessed God for fast approach of the doctor and nurses that helps and took her to the ward.
“She nee-d serious medical care if you want her to live again”the doctor said and i heaved a sigh of relieve .
“‘Do your possible best to resto-re her to her normal fitness pls.
She is all i have” I replied to him

Michael is such a nice person, it’s not an exaggeration but reality. Upon all i have labelled him, he finds a place in his heart to render every help to my mum and felt so hurt about my dad’s death.
Adanna was just like a sister to me, she cared so much about my being and my family and it made me so comfortable with her.
During our staying in that hospital, Adanna was with Michael’s phone, she was going throu-gh pictures in his phone gallery when I saw a picture of him and Nelson.
Gosh! I haven’t asked about him since I met him and i haven’t seen Nelson since then.
Maybe he has returned him to that woman but am worried about how he could locate the woman since he don’t know the woman.
Angela might have helped him on that but she (Angela) is no more living closer to us again and perhaps, Michael doesn’t know that i was accompanied with Angela to adopt Nelson.
I wanted to ask Adanna about Nelson but that wasn’t the right time for such, I kept calm.
I noticed how Adanna kept watching the picture of Nelson and kept zooming it, she st©pped checking other pictures in the gallery but kept watching that one picture.
Maybe she like the kid, well, everyone likes Nelson because of his smartest and intelligence.
I noticed tears streamed down from Adanna’s eyes and landed on the phone screen.
“What is it?”I asked but she ignored me or she didn’t heard me because all her minds were in the picture.
“What is happening to you?”I asked louder and she chuckled and looked up.
“Erm…no…n..not….nothing dear”she lied trying to wear smiling face but it failed her.
The tears kept steaming down her cheeks and i started having many thought.
Does it mean that Nelson is dead or what?
Why is she crying?
I was about asking her again when Michael c@m£ out from the doctor’s office and noticed what was happening.
“Baby, what is happening?”he asked but Adanna has locked the phone screen then.
“Nothing….”she said.
“Am going back to the city and i want you to stay back with Sonia here” Michael said but Adanna rolled her eyes.
“I want to go with you pls” she protested.
“No, Sonia can’t stay here alone with mum, I will be back in A short while pls”Michael added.
Adanna sat back but still looking so unhappy and i had no choice than to keep my pace from her.
I know that she wished to say something but maybe am not the right person for her.
Michael gave her some amount of money for our up keep

I know that Adanna is hidding something from me but whom am I to f0rç£ words out of her mouth?
We kept out space to each other since she continued keeping mute to my discussions and even bec@m£ less concern to what I was asking her.
“Pls can we see her now?”I asked the nurse that c@m£ out of the ward.
“Not yet, she is slee-ping and nee-d some rest pls”she replied trying to leave but Adanna threw another question to her.
“We just nee-d to see if she is okay and nothing more. Can we go and check on her now?”Adanna asked again and i guessed she just c@m£ back from her thinking then.
“No ma’am, it’s an order from the doctor and i can’t breach it pls, excuse me” the nurse said in finality and turned her back against us.
It’s obvious that she (the nurse) is mean and can’t change her mind.

Staying in that hospital is not all i nee-d, my son is all that matters most to me and some weeks that i haven’t seen him is like ages in my eyes.
I was security conscious and that is why I refuse to go there with Adanna because she behaves like she is hidding something from me atimes.
I drove to his school and met my darling son, he hvgged me so ti-ght and started keeping malice for me.
“What is it boy?”I asked with concern because he changed unlike him.
“You abandoned me here dad or you are tired of me?”he asked and it hurted me to hear such from him.
How can I be tired of him?
Why will I abandon him?
“I can do that son, am just busy settling some…..”I was still talking when he interupted.
“Settling with my mum right?” He interrupted and i rolled my eyes.
“Something like that…
So how is school?”I asked to keep such discussion off his mind but he insisted on discussing the same thing.
“Good but i don’t like here dad.
I want to be with you and i have submitted my resignation letter to our headmaster”he said and I shrunk.
