ANDREA POV
“What are you saying Max?”I asked starring at him
“It’s nothing, forget I said that?”he said turning to leave but I held him back
“You started this conversation and so you nee-d to end it, tell me why you had to leave years ago, tell me the real reason”I asked
“For what? It wouldn’t change any thing, it’s been sixteen years and am now married and you have a life with your daughter and Jack, so let’s just………”
“Damn it Max,I have a right to know! You owe me that, so st©p beating around the bush and tell me why you left me years ago”I said
“You know me Max, you know I can be very persuasive when I want some thing”I said and finally he gave up and taking my hand, he walked me to the living room and sat me down on the luxurious sofa he picked recently for the interior design of the house.
“I didn’t leave because I wanted to,I left just so I could protect you” he started softly
“Protect me?”I asked and he nodded softly.

MARY POV
“Yes granny, I just want to study with my friend for a while”
“Yes granny, I will be he at that time, I will”I said and switched off the phone.
“So?”Daniel asked as we both walked back from school.
“So I just lied to my grand ma, so I can spend more time with you”I said and that earned me a smile.
“I can’t believe that am lying to her again and also on the same day”I said
“When did you lie to her ?”He asked
“Well it was when James c@m£ to pick me up earlier and he………”I st©pped when I saw his face
“Don’t start acting that way “I said gently
“Acting what way?”he asked
“Don’t start acting jealous, it doesn’t suit you”I said
“James likes you Mary and am scared that he might take you from me”He said giving me a cute face
“You are just too charming to get angry at “i said and gently I took hold of his hand.
“You don’t have to worry, I like you and only you Daniel, no matter what James do I have no plan at looking at some one else”I said and gave him a quic-k pe-ck on the cheek.
Feeling shy, I began to walk off .
“That’s unfair, it’s called cheating, you shouldn’t have k!$$£d me Mary,now I want more”He said as he began to walk towards me
“Not on your life”I said as I began to run down the street
“Walt till I get you”He said coming after me
“Stay away from me you , get away”i said as we both chased each other down the streets.

“Really? Is this the only place you can think of, this is our first d@t£ Mary”He said as we both stood in front of the amusement park
“Common its not that bad, we can enjoy our d@t£ and also have a lot of fun,common Daniel”I said as I pu-ll-ed him to into the park
With me insisting,we got on every ride and pla-yed every game in the park.
While he went to get some thing, I stood watching some a guy trying to win a fluffy white teddy for his girlfriend, he did all his best but couldn’t win it.
“Am sorry my love, I couldn’t get you the fluffy white teddy you wanted” he said to her
“It doesn’t matter, what matter is that you tried, that shows how much you love me, I don’t nee-d a fluffy teddy ,I only nee-d you”the girl said and I stood watching them.
“My gosh, who is this hunk?”
“Is he taken?”
“Isn’t he so hand some”I heard some girls saying and when I turned to see who they were talking about it was to see that it was Daniel
Suddenly I felt a surge of anger, just who are they to be going crazy over some thing that belongs to me.
“Should I go to him”
“Am way too shy to approach him”
“I will go instead, you two are too slow”
On hearing the third one comment, I quic-kly went towards Daniel who was buying our ticket for another ride.
“Hey love!”I called out for the other girls to hear and he gave me a smile in return,wra-pping his arms around me.
“I told you to wait there for me”
“I missed you, you have no idea how much I miss you “I said giving him a k!ssand he smiled
“What are you up to Mary?”he questioned
“Nothing”I said and saw that the three girls had gone.
We got on the ride and when we were about to leave, he suddenly pu-ll-ed me to the fluffy teddy sto-re
“I saw you starring at it earlier” he said
“You shouldn’t, no one have been able to win that ?” I said
“What will you do if I win it?”he asked
“You won’t, so let’s just go”I said pu-lling his hand but he pu-ll-ed away
” If I get that fluffy teddy for you, you will have to grant me a wish”he said and turned to start the game.
A while later I stood holding the fluffy teddy in my arms.
“Do you really like it that much?”he asked
“Of course, I love it, It’s the first gift am getting from you, am going to treasure it”I said .kindly Hi waploaded story Home on zero eight one eight seven eight six six two six seven to join our story group.
“Tell you promised to grant me a wish If I get you this “he said
“Yes I did, tell me what your wish is?”I asked
ANDREA POV
“So that was why you left?”I said softly
“Yes”he answered as he stared at me
“You should have told me some how, do you know that I spent the last sixteen years hating you”I said
“I know and I don’t care, seeing you safe and okay is what I care for, hate me all you can but am satisfied with just knowing that you are okay and well”He said
“It’s all in the past now Andrea, so let’s forget about it and just move on with our lives”he added as he stood up
“Is it that easy for you Max?”I asked
“What?”
“Is it that easy to forget me!”I said softly
“Would it make any difference if I told you that it wasn’t easy, it wouldn’t make any difference Andrea and so it’s best if we keep our distance and stay away from each other , you deserve to be happy with the right guy, if Jack is the right one for you then so be it, I will be happy for you”He said as he gently Pat my head
“You are right! It’s been sixteen years alre-ady, it’s time that we all move on”I said picking up my bag and coat
“Am glad that you told me the real reason, I don’t have to hate you any more and you have no idea how much of a relief it is”I said and began to leave
“I won’t be coming here again, well until you finish with the house, so you can work at a slow pace and don’t be bothered about seeing me cause I plan to start avoiding you”He said and that made me st©p
“Thanks”I replied and walked out of the house.
The tears that have been holding in began to pour out as soon as I got out of the house.
Why did life have to be so cruel to us, I thought as I kept crying.
Leaving the states had all been for my protec-tion, he had been protecting me from his father.
Even till the end, he had been doing it for my good.
He loved me but to keep me safe, he left and to me that is a very big sacrifice, a sacrifice which I will always cherish for good.
I got home and stood by the front door, trying to put a smile on my face so my mom wouldn’t notice a thing.
I walked into the house yelling out an “am home”
I began to take off my shoes and jacket and I was about unpining my hair when I saw some one standing by the kitchen.
He was young and he was in a Jupiter high uniform, just who is he and why is he here.
“Hello ma’am”He said softly
“Mother! Mary! Can you two tell me who this boy is!!!!”I yelled calling out the two people who had let this stranger into my home.
