Episode 8
One-day, ra-phael almost had heart attack when Stephanie revealed that the two boys that he had thought was his sons were actually not his children.
“You are not my children’s father, they have a father, he is a soldier, he comes around once in a while, so you better behave” Stephanie had confessed. ra-phael felt like strangling her but the fear of her brothers,caused him to comport himself.
A year later, one cold night, Stephanie was out p@rtying, when ra-phael packed few of his belongings and ran away.
Leaving his house and his cars.
One thing that ra-phael had realized was that men also could be abused by their wives.
ra-phael had also realized that Bridget was the best thing that had happened in his life. And losing her was the greatest mistake he has ever made.
ra-phael got a new ap@rtment and he made sure to s£nd divorce papers to Stephanie but she declined to sign the divorce papers.
ra-phael was thrown in to a de-ep regret.
He wished he valued what he had- A loving wife and a healthy daughter.
“Upon how terrible I was to Bridget, she always respected and accepted all my wishes as a command, I can’t believe I settled for a disrespectful and wayward wife like Stephanie, this must be Karma, I nee-d to get Bridget back into my life, I nee-d her so much” ra-phael thought in tears.
On the other hand, Gideon and Bridget were planning for their wedding as Gideon had proposed few months ago.
When Bridget broke the good news of her engagement to her parents. Her parents received the engagement news with gladness of heart and prayed for only nothing but the best for their daughter.
The aged couple were excited to know that what they once wished for, was about to happen.
Gideon and Bridget had talked about the kind of wedding they wanted and after much deliberation, they decided to do court wedding and traditional wedding. Bridget wanted just her parents and close friends at the wedding and same with Gideon.
But ever since they started planning for their wedding, Bridget’s conscience had been dealing with her.
Bridget felt horrible that she had not told Gideon that she might not be able to bear him children.
She was so scared that Gideon might call off their wedding plans if she tells him the truth.
Just as Gideon was planning on how to surprise Bridget with a new house that he built in her name, Bridget was also planning to tell Gideon the whole truth and hoping against hope that Gideon will still want to be with her.
One-day, Gideon called Bridget and told her to meet him at a certain address.
“My love, it’s important, plea-se come, I am waiting for you my love” he told her.
In less than an hour, Bridget arrived to the address, she was so surprised when Gideon took her on a tour, around a well furnished duplex.
Bridget kept asking “Gideon why are we here? Who owes this house?” But Gideon will smile mischievously.
“My love, this is your house, here is the do¢v-ment, it has your name on it, this house will be our little love nest, when we get married” Gideon finally said in smiles
Bridget who didn’t see that coming bur-st into tears.
Gideon who didn’t un-derstand why Bridget was in tears. Inquired why she was crying.
“Gideon you have shown me what true love is all about, when I met ra-phael my ex husband he had nothing, except his potentials, throu-gh my connections, he bec@m£ so wealthy in our second year of marriage and that was how pride set in, you will not believe he had never included me in his plans, he only got me worthless gifts whenever he had battered me, one time he claimed he bought a new car for me, but I was so shocked when I found out that my name was not in the car’s do¢v-ments, ra-phael had never done such for me, I was like his furniture, he had no regard or respect me, but look out how you do everything for me, but I’m scared, I have something that I wànt to tell you and I Don’t know if I will lose you afterwards” Bridget entered in tears
But Gideon wiped her tears and urged her to feel free and express herself.
“I’m not going anywhere, I love you too much” Gideon added
“What will happen if I’m not able to give you, your own children?” Bridget entered calmly while Gideon stared at her in confusion.
“What do you mean?” Gideon threw in immediately.
Episode 9
Bridget cleared her throat and continued.
“I know you still remember how my ex husband beat me to pulp on a Christmas day, that’s more than two years ago, I felt pain, shame and at the same time furious. That was the worst day of my life…Gideon, I know we talked about almost everything but I Don’t un-derstand why I forgot to explain to you, how I lost a pregnancy the next day, and after I lost that pregnancy, I bec@m£ sterile, the doctor told me that I can’t fall pregnant again, so you see why I am in tears right now, I appreciate everything you do for me, you are a good man and your kind are rare but the truth is that, I’m not good for you, I Don’t deserve you, I
am not just a divorced woman, I’m sterile too and I Don’t want to ruin your life” Bridget narratted in tears.
To Bridget’s greatest shock, Gideon hvgged her and promised to be with her forever.
“My love, you are blessing to me, and you are perfect for me, we are in this together, if it’s the will of God, you will still bear me children but if it’s not then I’m contented with having you and your daughter. I Don’t want to marry you just for the sake of child bearing , the reason I want to be with you, is because I love you and I promise that I will be there for you, at all time, plea-se my love Don’t cry” Gideon said so lovingly and then he hvgged her.
That day was such a great day indeed in the life of Gideon and Bridget, because they had successfully defined their relationsh!p, and it was obvious that their marriage will turn out great. Gideon was only looking for a companion and not a baby factory machine, even though he loved the idea of having his own children, he was more interested in having Bridget by his side.
Gideon had proved to be selfless and Bridget’s love for him increases by the day.
As their wedding day was slowly approaching. ra-phael was planning on how to reappear in Bridget’s life. He had finally gotten rid of Stephanie, it cost him half of his wealth, He was so excited that he was free from Stephanie, that the money he lost meant nothing to him.
Stephanie only agreed to sign the divorce papers if he transfers half of what he owes to her, ra-phael was so desperate to get rid of stephanie that he agreed to her demands without thinking twice.
The wedding day finally c@m£ and it was witnessed by very important people. Gideon’s parents were in attendance and couldn’t be happier that their son had found some one he loves. The court ceremony took place and in no time, they were pronounced ‘Husband’ & ‘Wife’. Bridget’s eyes were filled with nothing but happiness as she k!$$£d her handsome husband.
On that same wedding day, ra-phael had arrived Bridget’s parent’s house and he was surprised to meet few women inside the compound.
These women were the caterers that was contracted to handle the food and drinks.
They were arranging the food and drinks into a green mini van to convey it to the reception hall, when ra-phael walked in to the compound.
“The wedding reception will take place at Lobster event center not here” One of the Caterers told ra-phael as they had thought he c@m£ for the wedding.
“Lobster event center is very popular in this area and it’s very close by, infact we heading there right now” the caterer continued.
But ra-phael who was confused entered ‘plea-se I’m here to see my in-laws, mr and mrs Williams, Bridget’s parents”
“They are not at home, they are at the wedding reception, their daughter, Bridget is getting married today” another Caterer announced as she noticed that ra-phael had no idea about the wedding.
ra-phael almost coll@psed but he comported himself, the Caterer repeated herself incase ra-phael didn’t get her the first time.
ra-phael could feel his heart cracking, it was so obvious that he had lost Bridget. He quietly walked away, heading to where he had packed his car and drove off. As he was about to exit the street, he saw a clas-sic car, with a tag “Just wedded”, immediately he was so eager to see who was inside the car.
Just as God will have it, the car’s window was down and ra-phael almost choked when he saw his ex wife looking very beautiful in her bridal attire and she was sitting closely to Gideon, one stare at Gideon, ra-phael remembered him.
He remembered the day he met Gideon, “it was a Christmas day, He was chatting with my wife and I lost my cool and I beat poor Bridget up in public, If I had known he was interested in my wife, I will have dealt with him instead of hitting my poor Bridget, now see how I lost my wife to him. I am such a fool” ra-phael thought
de-ep down in his hearts, he felt bad for the way he had treated Bridget when they were still married but it’s was too late for apologies
Bridget and Gideon had no idea that someone was staring at them the whole time, as they k!$$£d each other pas-sionately, inside the car, they were heading to their wedding reception and with the look on their faces. They were so excited.
ra-phael who got tired of staring, drove off in tears.
That day he knew he had lost Bridget forever. He was threw in to the state of regret. h0t tears rolled down from his eyes and he vowed to stay far from Bridget forever.
The wedding night was spectacular and one of a kind. Gideon made love to Bridget like he had never done before. They had a remarkable wedding night experience and wouldn’t trade it for the world.
They later travelled out for their honey moon
Life as a married couple was nothing but blissful for the lovebirds. Gideon was the absolute best husband to Bridget and the best father to Bridget’s daughter Everything went on perfectly fine for them.
But for how long?
Episode 10
Final
Gideon’s parents were wonderful in-laws, no wonder they had a wonderful son like Gideon. Gideon’s parents had noticed that Bridget hasn’t concieved yet during their first year wedding anniversary. They didn’t bother to ask their son, if something was wrong instead they began to pray for their son and their daughter inlaw to conceive.
Gideon’s parents always took Gideon and Bridget’s wedding picture to the church and their faith was so strong. They believed that Bridget will take in as soon as possible. they had no idea that Bridget was sterile, as they had thought it was a just a delay.
Two years later and Gideon had not changed one bit, instead he was more loving and supportive to Bridget.
Exactly three years after their wedding, Something happened, Bridget started feeling strange and couldn’t tell why. For some one who the doctor had told that she will never fall pregnant, she concluded that she was just ill and she decided to visit the hospital on Gideon’s demand. When she arrived and explained her problem to the doctor, a series of tests were conducted on her.
The tests results were out few hours later. Bridget was called into the doctor’s office and she went straight into the doctor’s office.
“We have carried out all the tests and it shows that you are perfectly fine, however, we have a good news for you” the doctor happily said,
“Ok, what’s the news?” Bridget reluctantly asked. The doctor smiled faintly and said; “Congratulations! You are 6 weeks pregnant!”.
“What, doctor the test result can’t be mine, I believe there’s a mistake some where, Doctor have you forgotten that by this time last year, you conducted some fertility test on me and you told me that there’s no chances for me to fall pregnant again” Bridget entered
But the doctor replied ” I’m shocked too, but there’s no mistake, I can’t explain how it happened but the truth is that you are pregnant…. This is must be a miracle and I am so happy for you” The doctor added.
At that moment, the ability to even breath properly was ha-rd for Bridget because her heart kept beating fas-ter than normal. She was utterly dumbfounded and shocked to the brim. There’s no word suitable enough to describe how she was feeling at that moment. She kept chanting within her. “Thank you God”
She didn’t even know when tears of joy started descending from her eyes.
When Bridget finally broke the good news to her husband, Gideon. He almost died of excitement too.
And when Gideon broke the good news to his parents, they were so happy.
“Gideon, your father and i made a vow to God, that if Bridget our daughter in law takes in that we fulfill our vow. Now that God has done, we will definitely fulfill our vow”
Bridget was so impressed with her in-laws when she learnt about how they pray fervently for her and also about the vow. “Such in-laws are rare, now i un-derstand why they didn’t put pressure on me, they were talking to God, on my behalf, oh I feel so blessed to have such great in-laws” Bridget thought in smiles.
The pregnancy was easy and the delivery was swift.
Afterwards, Bridget conceived and bore more children, she had a total of 3 children for her husband Gideon.
Gideon and Bridget had been married for 22 years now and Gideon had never raised his hands on her.

Gideon allowed Bridget to fly and to be anything she wants to be. He was so supportive and was her biggest fan. It was due to his support that she was able to build a career for her self.
Bridget was one of the successful professional woman in the world today, she is one of the few women that had made it big in their career because of the support and love she received from her wonderful husband.
Bridget had made it to the headline news like when she was appointed to be the Director general of World bank, She had also won many awards.
when she was interviewed by the press, she couldn’t st©p praising her ever loving and supportive husband, who didn’t cut off her wings or caged her up after marriage, instead he was solidly cheering for her as she flied.
Bridget is a feminine QUEEN. She had also held many campaigns against domestic violence and she had also held an outreach to counsel women who were facing all manner of abuse in their marriage.
“If you are always afraid of your spouse, you are being abused, if you are always being battered, plea-se leave while you still can, you might not be as lucky as I was, because I pas-sed throu-gh hell and it’s by God’s mercy that I was not consumed” Bridget would always say.
The secret to your success is who you marry
Verbal abuse can turn into physical abuse, Don’t stick around for neither one of them. Don’t justify the behavior of an abuser. If they loved you, they will keep their hands to themselves. You are not a doormat or a punching bag. You deserve better not bruises.
