Cindy moved to Patty and started kicking her repeatedly, Patty was no where near Cindy so she couldn’t keep up and in no time she past out
Cindy rushed throu-gh Betty who was lying lifeless on the floor with blood all over her b©dy
“Betty, oh God just hang in there” Cindy said in tears as she carried Betty up
She managed to carry her outside and st©pped a cab
“Winston hospital now” she ordered
The cab driver began driving fast and even more fas-ter when she kept yelling

WINSTON HOSPITAL***
Betty was placed in the stretcher and was rushed to the intensive care unit, Cindy is standing by the door, pacing back and forth waiting for the doctor to say something
Nurses were rushing inside Betty’s ward
“plea-se doc, do everything you can plea-se” Cindy cried when she saw doctor Winston pas-sing and the man could only just nod
Different wires were placed on Betty’s b©dy which Cindy was seeing before they closed the door
Cindy bur-st out in tears, all this can’t be happening now!

TAMAYA MANSION***
Tamaya kept on throwing all her vases over and over again
“Mom plea-se that’s enough” Gwyneth said in tears
“Why. Why should I, you hate me, my daughter hates me that’s why she implicated me right, now Nathan would come for me are you happy now!” Tamaya
yelled
“Mom it’s not like that” Gwyneth said
“Then what is it like, you hate me that’s just it” Tamaya yelled as she resumed her throwing of the vase
“Mom plea-se I don’t hate you, it’s just that I did the right thing and I think you should do yours too, just apologize!” Gwyneth yelled too
“I rather die, I fail this time but not forever right?, Hunny you won’t tell on me if I run away right??” Tamaya asked
“No mom, just st©p all these I’m sick of it, tomorrow you’ll apologize whether you like it or not” Gwyneth said as she turn to leave but suddenly felt dizzy and pas-sed out
“As if I knew” Tamaya scoffed recalling how she drugged her daughter earlier
“Take her to her room, she talks too much nowadays” Tamaya ordered the maids and they nodded
“Sorry, daughter” she muttered to herself

WINSTON HOSPITAL***
Cindy was sitting on the long chair with her head buried on her knee, she heard footsteps and she raised her head to see doctor Winston
“Doc” she rose up
“How’s she?” She added
“I’m afraid that she might loose her child or her life or this might be her last child ever” he said
Cindy stumbled backwards till she fell on her chair
“Well it depends on how the surgery will go, as of now she’s still in a comma and by tomorrow you’ll be sÂŁnt the hospital bill, she nee-ds to be treated in a haste” doctor said before leaving
“Can I see her now” Cindy shouted ma-king him freeze, he turned back to look at her throu-gh his shoulders and nodded before leaving completely
Cindy wasted no time to rush inside Betty’s ward, seeing her pitiful state just allowed Cindy to cry even more
“It’s my fault I shouldn’t have allowed you to stay home alone, I’m sorry” Cindy cried while holding Betty’s hand

NEXT DAY**
Cindy woke up early, opened the pastry shop and began selling, she didn’t care how ha-rd it is, she’s doing all these for Betty’s sake
After sometime, her phone beeped, it was a message from Winston hospital, she checked it and her eyes
“10 million??, Where would I get this” she muttered
Even if she sells everything in the bakery it’s no where near this, Cindy dropped her phone and locked the shop in annoyance before leaving for the hospital

WINSTON HOSPITAL**
Betty is still in her coma while doctor Winston was talking to Cindy
“Because I’m not heartless I’ll try my best to keep her alive with her baby, she has a week of lifespan limit, If she doesn’t un-dergo the surgery then I’m afraid this would be her last bus st©p” doctor Winston said sadly
Cindy closed her eyes painfully and turned to the other side and cleaning her tears
“Thanks doc I un-derstand” she said
Doctor Winston moved to her and patted her shoulders twice before leaving, after he left Cindy went to Betty’s ward
“You’ll be angry with me for what am about to do now but I have no choice, it’s for your own good and your baby” Cindy said lowly

TAMAYA MANSION***
Gwyneth woke up with a pounding head, she sat straight and recalled something, immediately she jumped down from the be-d and went to her mom’s room
The room was empty, all Tamaya bags and luggages were gone which means one thing, she had ran away

STAR ENTERTAINMENT***
After a lot of thinking, Nathan made up his mind to meet Betty this evening and apologize for all his mistake
At that point he was vulnerable, the way Clarie betrayed him stinged him like a ha-rd diseases that’s why he easily fell for that petty lie and now he ended up losing the most precious thing, he could ever ask for in his life
With full determination, he tracked down Betty’s place and he’ll get her back no matter how ha-rd it is

Charles on the other hand was working when his phone rang, it’s Cindy and it shocked him, without wasting any more time he picked the call
“Cindy? Any problem?” He asked when he heard her sniffing
Cindy said something to him that his phone fell from his hands in shock, he then rushed to Nathan’s office

Nathan was scrolling throu-gh some files when his door bur-st opened and Charles entered
“Charles what the hell you scare me” he said
“You should be Nathan, Betty is in the hospital and she’s carrying your child in her wo-mb” Charles said and Nathan eyes wi-de-ned
“What?!” He said as he stood up
“Youfu-cking heard me, she’s pregnant but that’s not all, someone tried to kill her and now she’s still a comma, she only has one week left plus a deadly surgery awaits her” Charles added
“Which hospital?” Nathan asked as he searched for his car keys
” The famous Winston hospital, no time let’s go” Charles said
Nathan carried his car keys and rushed out
“Hey Nathan where are you,..’ they paid Xavier no attention as they entered Nathan’s car and sped up
“I’m coming my love, just hang in there” he kept on saying these lines to himself as he drove his way to the hospital

WINSTON HOSPITAL***
Nathan car st©pped at the front of the large hospital, he immediately got down with Charles and they both rushed inside
“Just tell me the room Betty Shane is kept in” he said to the nurse that was scrolling down the l@pt©p screen
“Miss Betty Shane was brou-ght here yesterday and she’s in room 502 sir” the nurse replied
Nathan rushed to room 502 with full speed, he met Cindy sitting down but when she saw him, she immediately stood up and glared at him with teary eyes
“Are you happy now, look at her, look at her struggling to keep her baby alive, are you happy with what you’ve turned her too” Cindy yelled out tears
Nathan couldn’t bring himself to look at Betty in that state of hers so he just looked down
“I’m sorry it’s my mistake, plea-se forgive me” he said
“I’m not the one who nee-ds to hear that, it’s her you better apologize even thou I’m sure she’ll never forgive you but go try your luck” Cindy said
Nathan stared at Betty, he saw the various wires all over her b©dy and tears c@m£ out of his eyes
“I’m going to see her now” he said and Cindy nodded
Nathan moved to sit on the stool right next to her and took her weak hands
“I know you won’t like me here, I know you won’t wanna see me now but I’m sorry, I wanna say sorry for everything I did, sorry for allowing you to suffer like this, I’m so sorry plea-se forgive me my love” he cried softly for a while till he felt someone hands on his shoulders
“Dude that’s enough, we’ll wait for her to wake up first” Charles said
Nathan nodded and stood up
“Where’s the doctor?” He asked and almost immediately doctor Winston c@mÂŁ in
“The hospital bill forward it to me, I’ll pay infact I’ll pay double just save her plea-se, save my child and my woman I want them both alive” he said
Doctor Winston could only just nod

Some hours later, Betty was carried to the operating room for the surgery to begin, Regina and Evan are also presÂŁnt there
“Evan we nee-d to talk” Nathan said
“I know you wanna thank me so you’re welcome” Evan said
Nathan just sighed. “Yeah,thanks for telling me all this, I hope we can be friends again” Nathan said as he stretched his hands to him
“Yeah I hope for that too” Evan smiled and accepted it
Regina was smiling from behind, Cindy looked at Charles and when their eyes met she quic-k looked away

One month later***
The surgery was successful, Betty and her baby were saved but the doctor said possiblity for her having a second child is super low
Betty was still in a comma state, the only thing left for her Is to wake-up, the doctor has instructed that she isn’t taking good care of herself, she nee-ds proper rest and meal
She nee-ds to stay in a well sanitized environment that’s favourable for both her and her baby, Nathan decided to bring Betty to his mansion so for the past one month she had been slee-ping there

Nathan is sitting outside his balcony and having his fresh tea when his phone rang, it was Justin
“Any upd@tÂŁ?’ he asked
“Not yet but I found out that Mrs Jones is hiding at Italy, I don’t know where but I’ll keep searching” Justin said
“It’s okay Justin, rest we’ll continue this search later, let’s wait for Betty to wake up” Nathan said
“Yes sir, another good news, Patty has been arrested for trying to murder Betty and now she’s locked allow with miss Jasmine Brown for life” Justin said and Nathan smiled
“She deserves it, good night Justin” he hanged up
He went to Betty’s room and she was still asleep as usual, he sat down beside her and took her hands on his
“My love, I’m still waiting for you to wake up, I want you to trash me real bad cause I deserve it, I want you to yell and curse me cause I deserve it but plea-se I want you to give me a chance to apologize to you, give me a chance to tell you I’m sorry for everything cause I’m nothing without you, I love you so much, plea-se wake up soon” he said as he ca-ress her face for a while before falling asleep right next to her

NEXT DAY**
CITTY’S PASTRIES***
Ofcourse Cindy do still work here at her little bakery, she kinda prefer this than working in star entertainment
“Can I have an apple pie plea-se?” A guy asked
She nodded and went to get it, she gave it to him without looking at his face but he held her hand just as she was about retreating
Cindy looked up to see Charles
“Charles, what are you doing?” She asked
“Just c@mÂŁ to say hi, you’ve been quite busy these days” he said
Cindy bit herl-ips. “Charles I haven’t thanked you yet, you supported me and helped me even when I dumped you, thank you Charles” she said
“It’s fine, you I’d do anything to see you smile, so smile for me” he pinched her cheeks
Cindy gave him a weak smile before resuming her work
“Come work with me at star entertainment, I’m cool with it
“No Charles I’m not, I’m good working here, I just don’t wanna bother you anymore, you deserve someone much better than-
She was cut short when Charlesl-ips landed on hers
“You haven’t changed one bit, you talk way to much, see to later” he said when he pu-ll-ed away and left
Cindy sighed, she t©uçhed herl-ips and smiled a bit

NATHAN’S MANSION**
Betty eyes slowly opened, she blinked for a while before looking left and right
“Where am I_” she muttered as she sat up the be-d
“I’m so hungry” she gro-an ed as she holds her stomach
Without wasting time, she rushed to the kitchen, she noticed the amount of the staircase she has to climb
“Just where am I really, this is not Cindy’s house” she thought
Finally she saw the fridge and smiled
“So hungry” she grumbled and opened it, her eyes wi-de-ned seeing different yummy food that made her mouth watery
Her gaze landed on the chicken leg and she felt like if she don’t eat it, she’ll die so she gr@bbÂŁd it and started feasting on it not caring if its cold
Nathan just c@mÂŁ back home just to get an important file he left behind, when he past the kitchen what he saw shocked the daylight outta him
“She’s awake” he said in surprise
“B. Betty” he called as his heartbeats increa-sed it’s pace in beating
Betty turned to look at him and slowly the chicken leg fell from her hands
