him 500 naira. Immediately Khalid got
home, he met his brother slee-ping after
eating charcoals and drank water.
Khalid broke into tears again as he saw
the remaining charcoal Deen reserved

him. He started helping people to carry
load, pack waste and anything packable
which the wheelbarrow can carry. That
week Khalid return the remaining 2 k his
mom Owned the woman.
Khalid triple his husling to make sure he
take care of his brother. After some
months, Khalid registered his brother to

sponsor them. Khalid also managed to
registered his brother in a lesson to

more money.mummy Rukayat situation
preoccu-pied his mind. The labourer work
he was doing didn’t fetch him enough
money, per day, there were paying them
600 naira at times 800 naira. From the
money is what he saved to further his
brother education. Khalid was thinking
when Deen c@m£ in with different
problems about his school fees and
many things he nee-ded to buy and
without hesitation Khalid handed the
20k his brother requested for. He
always wants his brother to feel
comfortable. Sometimes Khalid stay
hungry just to save money bcoz of his
brother and their house project at hand.
Deen was happy as Khalid gave him all
the money he requested for.
All these years, since there was no
enough money to roof their house, they
only use nylon to cover one room. Most
times Deen always pray for raining
season not to come. The next day,
Khalid was going to work when he
remembered Rukayat mother at the
hospital. He couldn’t go to work again.
He quic-kly took bike to the hospital.
On reaching there he met Rukayat and
her mummy outside the hospital.
Rukayat was crying as her mom couldn’t
hold herself together. It was the doctor
who pushed them outside as they was
no money for treatment again. The
woman has been in that hospital for a
month without owning a Kobo. The 70k
they deposited is what the doctor use to
charge them for all the days they stay in
the hospital. The doctor was so
heartless.
He demanded for 100k before doing the
woman operation. Rukayat was the one
who rally round, sold her mom goods to
raise the 70k. She begged the doctor to
safe her mom first but he refused. Now
the doctor pushed them outside telling
them the 70k they deposited has
el@psed. Khalid alre-ady knows the
doctor behavior. He took them home.
Rukayat couldn’t st©p crying as her
mom situation deteriorated. Rukayat
held her mom inside their room crying.
Rukayat was the only child of her
parents. Her father was no more. He
died when Rukayat was 3 years old.
Khalid rushed to their site manager to
borrow him 100k that he nee-d the
money urgently so that the doctor can
commence on the woman operation.
The site manager couldn’t st©p
laughing. Khalid was so serious,
sweating , begging the site manager but
all his efforts was to no avail. He went
again to their supervisor to borrow him
money, the man referred him to one
community where people work and paid
heavily per day if u can work very well
nothing less than 50k.
On hearing that Khalid quic-kly picked
race to the main road and took bike
straight to the community. When he got
there he saw a mighty rock and some
hefty men with plenty ti-ppers parked.
That community is where different
construction companies c@m£ to get
granite from. Khalid inquired the nature
of the work and if he can get one.
He was told if he has the power to
breakdown the rock. Join us to re-ad

the rock with all his strength.
His hands bec@m£ red. He didn’t gives
himself break. He works from morning
till night, sometimes the manager on
Gen for him to work over night. He was
able to raised the 200k within 3days.
His hands swelled up like agege bre-ad.
All his b©dy was aching like someone
that fall from a 5 story building. Khalid
looked at the money in his hands, he
couldn’t believe he can make such
amount of money in his life. He broke
into tears as he was remembering his
late parents. He went home.
Immediately he got home, he looked at
their house, their rooms. No mattress,
no doors and no roofing.
He wanted to change his mind and use
the money for their house but he now
remembered mummy Rukayat situation
and the promise he made. He quic-kly
rushed to the woman house. The
woman was taken to one village for
herbs as her condition bec@m£ worst.
The woman neighbor directed Khalid to
that village.
On getting there, the situation Khalid
met was beyond herbs. Without
hesitation Khalid rushed them to the
hospital for an operation. If not Khalid
the woman could have died. Rukayat
couldn’t st©p thanking Khalid. She
couldn’t believe Khalid a wheelbarrow
