Crying to sleep has been my tradition since I got here, and today is no exception.
Hunter has made me cry, laugh, happy and every type of emotion that I’ve never felt before.
I gr0@nas I hear someone knocking on my door. Only if I hadn’t lock the door cos I feel so lazy to stand. Finally getting myself off the be-d, I staggered there and open the door to see my mom. I sigh and let her in before closing it back.
“You look terrible ” my mom say as she scan my face raising my chin with her f!nger.
I turn my face away ma-king her hand drop. I walk to my be-d and sit down.
“You don’t expect me to look okay mom, after all this ” I say dramatically.
“And why do I think you are overreacting, when I told you about your dad and sister, you were sad but you didn’t even freak out the way you did when I mentioned Hunter ” she says.
“I’m not overreacting mom, I only think I deserve an explanation from Hunter. He ought to tell me about this before now ”
“Hunter doesn’t owe you any explanation or whatsoever. You guys had a contract marriage doesn’t mean he should share every thing about him with you. You have no right to be angry with him, you share no relationsh!ptogether.
We have gone a long way mom, this is more than a contract marriage. Even though he’s not always open to me but mom I just lost my vir-ginity to him. I alre-ady named our relationsh!pas something great ”
Wow ” she says Suprised.
“I know this is your decision to make not mine but as your mother there are things I guide you on . I don’t know, do you think he deserves it? You just know Hunter for 6 month and I seriously don’t know the type of relationsh!pyou guys had to have you make this decision ” she says and blink her eyes.
Probably still couldn’t her daughter has lost her vir-ginity.
“I don’t regret it mom. I made the decision because I wanted to, because I want him to. You once told me to go after my heart, and that is what I did. ”
She sighed and we both remain quiet for a while before she breaks the silence “Are you in love with him? ” this is my greatest fear. How can I see be in love with Hunter? That’s what I ask my self every day since I found about this feeling.
I can’t admit that I am. But I am.
Six months is a long time to not fall in love mom ” I answered her.
I admitted it. I’m in love.
Does he feel the same way ” she ask.
“No ” was my answer.
Before she could say something, my door opened and Hunter come in.
He stare at me, I was staring into his green eyes too. My mom awkwardly excuse us leaving the two of us in the room.
I break the eye contact clearing my throat.
“I never planned to telling you “Hunter says and I turn my head to face me.
“Why ”
Beacause I don’t think you should to know” he says.
“If I had known what you are , I’m wouldn’t have sle-pt with you ”
Look, can we just forget about this and move on ” he says frustrated.
How can I move on from the fact that you are a criminal, that you kill people, you’re a murderer ”
“I don’t kill ” he answers.
“Then what do you do? Drugs? Because I know that a Mafia cannot stand withou this two things. ”
“I don’t do drugs too, I have people to do those things for me ” he says.
I scoff and look at him.
You’re still a criminal, those innocent people you killed, their blood and on you and your generation ” I say and he laugh.
That’s your mindset Lauren ” I so much hate the way my name sounds so good coming from him giving me chills.
“Things don’t happen that way, their blood and bla and besides those people are not innocent people, they deserve it ”
This man is driving me crazy. He wouldn’t even admit that he’s guilty.
“Does that make you a saint ? Listen nob©dy deserves to be killed… ”
He cut me off.
Yes just like my entire family, they don’t deserve death. And I’m not backing out till I have my revenge on them and their families ” he roared, his eyes were so red that got me really scared.
Your father is the cause of that not anyone ” I wanted to say but I know it will get him more angry.
“That’s different ” I say.
And how is it different? Your father, your mother, your uncle and you are the reason why I’m in this mess. And you dare question me about what I do ”
“Tell how are we involve in all this ”
“Your mother didn’t tell you that? She only told you that I’m a criminal. Do you have any idea what loosing all family of your family at 17 is. Leaving you all alone in this world. Do you fv¢king un-derstand the pains I went throu-gh, the type of hatred inside of me for all my father’s killer. You…. ”
I cut him off, I’ve heard enough of his rant.
You know what, just get out of my room “I say pointing to the door, but he didn’t move.
I sigh angrily.
I know this is your house, but can I have my peace plea-se. Get out! ”
He stare at me with a blank face then begin to walk out.

#Hunter.
You don’t nee-d this now Hunter ” Ryan says trying to st©p me from drinking.
I do cuz that girl is driving me crazy. Can you imagine all what she said to me ” I retorted angrily.
Ryan laughs.
“What? ” I say angrily.
“Seriously, you have to un-derstand what she’s going throu-gh. She just learnt the truth about her family. She would freak out ” Ryan says.
I scoff.
“So how I’m I involved in her problems, why is she taking it out on me ”
She was dissapointed that her father is a mob and you also. Her father isn’t alive for her to get angry and scold him, but you are. So she take her anger on you “Ryan says
“Really? Is her mother dead too? All this things doesn’t make s-en-se, she’s just.. She’s crazy”
Ryan sigh and stay silent while I just continue smoking and drinking.
I look to see Ryan looking at me, he shake his head when our eyes meet. I ignored him and pour my self alcohol. I don’t get easily drun!kor else if I drink much.
“You are acting weird Wayne (My second
name,which only my family knows about though)” Ryan breaks the silence.
“What do you mean? ”
“Look at the way you are acting up just because a girl refuse to talk to you ”
” I am not acting up and not because she refuse to talk to me, but because she disrespected me”
“Then punish her. You always punish does who disrespect you, do the same to her ” he says.
I didn’t give him a answer, surely because I can’t and I seriously don’t know why.
“I know you won’t agree or maybe you don’t know it yet but.. Dude I think you’re in love with her ” immediately he finish that, I slam my cu-p on the table ha-rd as I stare at him with bloodshed eye.
” What did you say? ” I ask ma-king sure he just said that.
“Listen Bro, you’ve never been disturbe-d for someone as this ”
You know how much that word ‘Love ‘annoys me. So don’t you dare say such thing again ” I warned him and he let out a heavy sigh.
I suggest you let her go away for now, let her sort out herself and calm down. If she stay here, you guys will never st©p fighting” Ryan suggested.
No I can’t let her leave, she’s staying here until after a year. It’s just six months left ”
It’s just a suggestion though, I think she nee-ds space. She might miss her normal life you never know”
I was about to say something when her voice interrupt.
” Ryan is right, let me go ” I turn to to see her at the door.
“How long have you been there ” I ask.
Long enough to hear something ” she says pompously.
This is not my Lauren, she’s different now.
You know I won’t let you leave ” I say and Ryan tap me and whisper “don’t start an argument now, just let her leave if she wants to. She’s still your wife no matter what. Not like she’s not coming back again”
I sigh angrily.
“Okay fine leave, but remember we are married. You can’t stay out for long”
“I know and I’ll be leaving today ” she says and sadness struck me immediately.
I nod my head.
But.. Where are you going to stay? ” I ask.
I’ll be going back with my mom ”
I raise my eyebrows at her.
“Your mom? She doesn’t have a house, she stays with her friend in a small house are you going to stay in that place too ” I say and she glares at me.
You don’t nee-d to worry yourself about that, I know what I’m doing ”
I pick up the glas-s of my alcohol and began to walk out.
I paused and say without turning back “As just so you know Ryan. I am not in love with anyone. No woman except my mom is worth me loving “hoping she doesn’t get the wrong to what Ryan said earlier she must have heard.
I walk out after that leaving the two of them.

I roll my eyes as I watch him walk away.
I faced Ryan.

I’m going to miss you Hazel come back soon. And just know you are giving Hunter a tough time, he’s really not happy about this”
I laugh ignoring what he says, then bid him goodbye before leaving.
