Jimi was not surprised she turned him down, the flashes of the other night in the kitchen is enough for him to know he had really messed up himself
He didn’t even remember drinking so much that night and he is usually very good at handling his alcohol but something was definitely pushing him
Earlier that day before the party started he was just watching her closely, observing her from a distance, he had only know her for over a month and it felt like she has been missing all his life and if he doesn’t grab her she was going to sli-p away
Guys like marcel Roland will come for her and many more because she’s a very attrac-tive woman with an adorable kid
How did it get to this . Jimi had continue to ask himself, how did it get to a point when all he thinks of is seeing Diana spending time with Abby and always trying to make them happy
Before Abby’s birthday everyone was coming together to plan the event and now that the day is finally here, he may have just run out of excuses to storm into her apartment as he likes to suggest something stupid and make her laugh
Because when she laughs , ohh lord’
Jimi sighed softly, it is like the sun is shining at you, her eyes lights up and her babyish smile is contagious with those de-ep popping dimples
At this point Jimi could no longer deny that he was smitten beyond control and he is not one of the lay back guys that just wait for things to fall in place. He is the head on. Right now Kinda guy
Maybe because he has ba-rely ever been turned down by a lady , his probability of failing was below 10% and he was almost certain that with a few ease bu-tton she was going to come around eventually
They always do.
But then Diana has been different from the first day he met her, ladies always steal glances at him ,try to make conversations with him, try to stay connected with him . I mean that’s why the whole process is easy
A girl is attra-ctive,she finds you attrac-tive she gives you the green light and you go for it ,even the ones that try to play tough end up running back so getting a girl to say yes as always been the easiest part , telling them it over was the ha-rdest
But Diana was an exception,not once as jimi caught her staring at him in a longing way ,one time he thought it was because his beards were coming out although some girls like it but maybe Diana doesn’t so he shaved still nothing happened and he knows this because half the time they are together he is always the one doing the intense staring.
He has literally observe every curve on her body,every ache on her face every line every jaw and she probably recognize him by his voice because most times she avoids eye contact and when they are alone together she always excuses herself
So on Abby’s birthday Jimi had to convince himself that they was only one way to find out if diana was truly attra-cted to him or not and that was by coming on to her
He knew he couldn’t achieve that if he was sober , there’s something about her that was terrifying. You know when she says stop and all your punch bu-ttons automatically dies down. It’s like she’s scolding Abby but you are the victim
So Jimi kept the bu-ttons running,he drank till he was tipsy, Steve and Murphy were not making it easy for him either,they had already acknowledge that she was the most beautiful lady at the party and she was wearing black again and it suits her so well it was impossible to not glare at her
Then they started talking about how good she must be in bed, it made him feel awkward because honestly he had not imagined her that way he has always thought about spending more time with her, taking her out to a fancy place and knowing more about her story
But hearing his crazy friends highlight se-xual position they think she would be extremely good at made him want to loose his mind. He wanted to yell at them and ask them to stop but they were both drunk and blabbing nonsense.
When he looked out to find her in the crowd,her golden cousin had pulled her out with Abby to dance.
She couldn’t dance so she was trying to copy everything Abby was doing even though she was doing it wrong it was so cute to watch and jimi felt bu-tterflies in his stomach
So he just kept drinking until he was completely zoned out.
The party ended too soon and everyone was leaving, Jimi was dozing in her living room when they all gathered there to gist about the highlight of the day and Abby was too eager to unwrap her presents so they all sat there and let the birthday girl enjoy the few hours left for her day
Phili-p had gently tapped Jimi to go back to their apartment and sleep it off ,when he raised his head he notice Diana going to the kitchen so he stood up immediately and followed her
Now is the time, he muttered softly and showed up behind her in the kitchen,she fli-pped when she saw him and he grinned broadly
Then he started blabbing nonsense

He wanted to stop but he couldn’t control himself until his li-ps found hers and he was ki-ssing the life out of her.
One moment it was full blown pas-sion in his head until he could hear her tiny whimpers and he realized he was only forcing it, she wasn’t ki-ssing him back. Immediately he stepped back and blinked staring blankly at her
What has it down. He rolled his eyes
The ki-ss was great but she wasn’t enjoying it why the heck did he do that
She was scolding him and usually it was supposed to be terrifying but the alcohol in his veins was giving him liver, his eyes were fixated on her li-ps that were now swollen from the impact of his ki-ss and he wanted was to do it again not for-cefully but yeah he was dying to ki-ss her again
When he leaned forward, she landed two slap-s on both sides of his cheeks and he stager back and woke up .
She was yelling Get out’
Oh shit! This had not gone the way he planned it
The next morning he couldn’t even stand up from his bed his legs were too weak and he had already had an episode of throwing up by midnight. So he sent an email to his office that he was sick and spent the day in bed
When he woke up by past three he realized he had not fed Br@dy all day and he remembered Phili-p was repeating it this morning that he should feed Br@dy at least thrice before he returns from work.
So Jimi hurried out poured hungry Br@dy an heavy meal and sat next to him on the stairs as he munch hungrily at his late lunch
While Jimi sat down he tried to recall everything that happened last night and the flashes he had was enough for him to know he had screwed everything up
About an hour later she showed up back from work , hopped down from a bike and immediately their eyes met she gave him a striking look.
Now she’s probably going to avoid him forever. Jimi couldn’t let that happen so the moment she pas-sed by his side he stopped her and ask her out
Head on….. Just like he should have done last night.
When she emphasized on staying friends. Jimi didn’t feel bad infact he was grateful that she didn’t turn him down all the way
But now he is only going to work ha-rder by being a good friend, proving to her that he can be better.
Diana is more than a puzzle to him, a fun game he wants to play ,win and toss aside.
She is more than an adventure. She just became his must trying obsession

Diana couldn’t believe jimi actually asked her out. like he just walked up to her cook up some co-rk and bull story and asked her out flatline. Be my girlfriend

This is beyond ridiculous
Yesterday he was forcing himself down her throat and today he is flashing his latest objectives in her face for her to just agree to it, like he was doing her favor
This is a guy she had dread for so many years .a guy that has succeeded in ripping her family apart. Some one whose name became a taunting shadow for her and her family
It’s funny how dare works honestly. Not in a million years did she dream of meeting Jimi Benson,let alone living next to him, not to talk of being friends with him and now going way overboard to becoming attached to him
In a nutshell,this is her fault
She knew who he was from the beginning and she let this drag all the way to this
What was she thinking
That she could push the past aside and play the obnoxious damsel in distress and let Jimi use her as he pleases.
Maybe she’s another pack in his lifelong adventure, another one of his dirty tricks were the lives of innocent naive girls doesn’t matter to him and he could just uses them as he please
And she can’t exactly confront him about,yell at him and kick him in the groin for being such an as-s-hole because that would mess everything up.
It would open up old wounds and everything will be out in the open.she couldn’t take such risk, it is better to deal with it like this than throw shit in the air
She avoided him for a few days but how long would that last,will she continue to live like a prisoner in her own home .
She had to first check if his car was in the driveway before stepping out of the house
She didn’t want to confront him because she doesn’t even know what to say to him .
Then one morning when she took Abby to buy drugs at the pharmacy , Jimi was leaning against his car like he was waiting for them
Diana couldn’t hide her frustration when she saw him . What was he doing here?
How did he know they were here.
Abby ran towards him to hu-g him and he carried her in his arms and diana was staring like she was watching the most terrifying combination in history
“What is are doing here?” She managed to ask when she closed the distance between them
“Hello to you too diana,how have you been”
“Great! I didn’t expect to see you here , what are you doing here Jimi ”
“Uncle Jim jam are you feeling sick too. Is that why you came here? ” Abby was answering the question for him and Diana’s head was ban-ging
“Hmmm Abby baby yes honey I was feeling a little sick but this place doesn’t have the cure to kind of sickness I was feeling”
“Is it a big kind of sickness. With those big words like padkinstin”
Jimi chuckled
“No sweetie it’s parkinson and no I don’t have parkinson, I have more of an heartache your mom un-derstands why. Right didi”
He was intentionally getting on her nerves and if Abby wasn’t in his arms right now she would be walking away from him
“Abby get down we are leaving”
“I will take you guys home but have you had breakfast already, we should go somewhere and have breakfast together. Do you like that Abby” she nodded smiling
“We are not going anywhere. We nee-d to get back home”
“Ohh okay, so who’s feeling sick. You or abby”
“I think it both of us because mommy got some medicine for herself too”
“Ohh I see. Mommy is everything okay?”
Jimi raised a brow
“Is just antibiotics” she answered almost out of breath. “ohh just come down Abby let’s go home”
“No mommy. I wanna go with uncle Jim jam”
“Not right now. You nee-d to take your drugs”
“But I feel already. Pls lemme go with uncle Jim jam”
“No Abby. Don’t make me yell just come down”
Jimi opened the back door and put abby inside
“What are you doing?” Diana was getting more pissed,why would he put her in the car
“I didn’t want abby to hear what am about to say”
Diana rolled her eyes
“I thought you said we could be friends”
She shrugged
“Then why are you treating me like a complete stranger”
“I…I…did… didn’t”
“Diana I un-derstand how awkward this must be now but we don’t have to act like this around each other, you know am always going to be a part of Abby’s life so don’t put a strain on it by putting our personal differences in between us”
“Stop dictating what I nee-d to do and not do”
” That’s not what am trying to do. If this is your way of punishing me pls just stop I can’t keep up any longer”
“What are you talking about”
“I know you have been avoiding me”
“What!” she scoff like it wasn’t true
“I haven’t seen you since that Monday evening and today is Saturday”
“Have it ever occured to you that it may just coincidence”
“I don’t think so, I try so ha-rd not to come Ban-ging at your door so we can avoid any unpleasantries but now it’s pretty obvious”
“Am not avoiding you jimi.”
“Then have breakfast with me”
“Am ….. not hungry” she slutters
“Then watch me and Abby eat . Just let us put this ugly phase behind us”
She really wanted to say no. Abby is already in his car . It is going to take one gigantic excuse to come out of this and she can’t come up with anything so she agreed
“Fine” she answered reluctantly and he wanted to jump her but controlled himself
