Episode 56

I woke and find myself laying on the floor. What in the world happened to me ? The first thing my heart darted to was the diary I kept in my stomach.
I hastily t©uçhed my stomach to check if the book is still there but it isn’t
“What! ” I yelled and ran outside the house straight to Jessica’s room.
“Where is the diary?” I asked in fear of the as-sumption that she had re-ad it.
“Diary? I do not know about that sir ” She said.
“You took the diary in my belly when I sle-pt off.” I yelled.
“I didn’t do something of such sir” She said.
I turned round like I was going crazy. I ran away from her room to the living room to check the time only for me to find out that I had sle-pt for more than six hours.
What! How in the world can I sleep at a time like that and worst of it all ,I did not know when I sle-pt.
Am I so bad at slee-ping.
No, something is wrong somewhere.
I walked out straight to my car and drove to the hospital. I explained to the doctor what happened to me.
“What did you remember eating before you sle-pt ?”
“I ate salad and took a drink.”
“Who served you?”
“My property , my maid. ” I said so he can properly un-derstand what I meant by property.
“She must have drugged the drink you take. ” He said and I hit my two palms on the table and stood angrily.
“Calm down Mr. Donald. It’s just the closest as-sumption right now but it’s good that you un-dergo a text just for confirmation.” he said and I tried calming myself down a bit.
He ordered me to go for the text in a p@rticular laboratory in the hospital.
I c@m£ back to the doctor with the result of the text and he scanned throu-gh it and raised his head at me.
“Yes ,the drink is drugged .” The doctor said and my head rang.
I sm-irked angrily. So Jessica drugged me so she can take the diary to re-ad. She must have re-ad it and find out the truth.
Time to kill her once and for all. I would not allow my feelings for her blind me this time.
I drove home angrily and on arriving. I stepped down with my gun.
“Jessica!” I yelled. “Jessica!” I yelled again and she c@m£ into view.
“You bastard ” I cursed angrily.
Episode 57

“You bastard drugged me ? ” I heard him say and I knew at once that he must have gone to the hospital to enquire about his abrupt long hours sleep.
“I can explain sir. ” I said and moved close to him cause he was holding a gun.
“Explain what?” He yelled and directed his gun at me.
I rolled on the floor all of a sudden and kicked him by his legs. He almost fell but supported himself with his right hand.
Fortunately,his gun fell from his hand. He stood hurriedly to pick the gun but I was quic-k enough to kick it somewhere far.
I could see anger expressed on his face. He maintained a fighting position and I just smiled.
He even wants to fight with me ? I would not like to beat the hell out of my boss.
Not like I really wish to be rude ,though. But I can’t watch him kill me just like that.
He ran to me and began to hit me while I just let him. I didn’t want to fight him back cause I know I will easily defeat him..
“Take it easy Donald. ” Jennifer walked into our midst.
She was able to separate Donald from me.
“What happened ?” She asked Donald.
“She drugged me.” Donald said and looked at me angrily. he had hit me so ha-rd while I ha-rd ly feel any pain
I’m sure he will be the one feeling the pains in his hand currently.
Jessica looked at me like she was oblivious of the fact that I drugged him.
“What! You drugged him? Are you crazy?” She sl@pped me.
She turned to Donald and said. ” I told you not to give in to this useless girl. You should just resell her. If she can drug you then she can kill you.”
Donald kept shaking his head and walked away.
He c@m£ back with the gun that I had kicked away. “You are becoming a threat to me in this house” He said as he hits my head with the gun all of a sudden.
I staggered back as blood spill from a side of my head.
“Don’t kill him Donald ,just sell her off.” Jennifer said.
“No, she’s on a mission and I nee-d to st©p it. ” Donald pointed his gun at me.
Jennifer went to Donald and whispered into his ear.
Donald looked at her face stunningly while she nodded.
Donald walked away while I just allow myself fall to the floor.
I was hurting all over as a result of my bleeding head.
Jennifer c@m£ to me and said ; ” I think it’s high time you let go of whatever investigation you are trying to make. You will die before finding out anything!” She said and stood.
“Help me plea-se. ” I said and she bent and carried me to a room in the house.
She administered drugs to me and helped place a bandage to my head.
In few seconds ,I sle-pt off.
I woke up few hours later as a result of the night mare that I had. I saw the man that killed my parents kill me too.”
It’s so scary that I was still scared after waking up.
According to the few pages that I was able to re-ad. I think Donald was the one that was s£nt to execute my parent. Does that mean he’s the killer?
Gosh! I just nee-d something to confirm. If only I’m able to re-ad the whole pages of thwe diary.
I was regretting of handing over the diary to Jennifer only for her not to give me any substantial information and worst of it all ,throw the diary inside the furnace
An idea popped into my head and that was to search more to see if Donald had other diaries.
Yes, I would do just that.
Episode 58

I stood from the be-d that Jennifer had treated me and went to my room.
I sat on a small chair in my be-d thinking of how to infiltrate Donald’s room
I pretended like I was going to the backyard of the house but I only wanted to search for where Donald could be.
I noticed that Donald’s room was closed , I had pas-sed the door alre-ady but I stepped back.
I went to the room and planted a series of knock on it but no one was responding inside.
I exhaled fearfully and twisted the knob. The door gave way and I can’t find him inside.
I took few steps back to the hall way and turned my head left and right to confirm if no one was watching or coming.
I went to his wardrobe straight and on opening it ,I saw series of books , I saw two books that looked like the diary that Jennifer burnt.
If I pick one out of these books, he shouldn’t know right? I hope so.
I picked one of the diary and closed the wardrobe as it was. I walked to my room and closed the door.
I exhaled that I wasn’t caught even thought it’s a great risk.
I opened the first page of the diary as quic-k as I can and it re-ads;

“No, you shouldn’t have killed him?” I scolded the lady before me. This is one of the reason why we had issues.
I had only discussed what father wants me to do with her only for her to go and execute that mission behind me.
“Calm down ,I only help you. And besides ,I’m not trying to take the glory ,just tell Father that you killed them.” She said and I shook my head.
“It’s not as easy as you think? Dad had people monitoring every activities in that house in one way or the other ,he will still find out that I didn’t kill them.” I said.
“I covered for that alre-ady” She said.
“How? I’m really scared of Father ,he is very smart !” I said.
“Common!” She tapped me by my shoulder and walked away.

Jessica’s POV.
I’m confused ,does that mean a lady was the one that killed….my parents…no! I’m not sure it’s my parent they are referring to here
Cause I will never forget the day my parents were killed. It was a masked man dressed in black all over and it was right before my eyes.
Jennifer burnt book 1 alre-ady , I wish I had taken book 2 ,I would have had an idea of whom they were referring too here in book 3.
I exhaled. But who is that lady ,though?

Donald speaking in diary.
Following day ,I went to dad’s office with fear mixed with nervousness but I maintained a look of victory on my face.
“Welcome son” He welcomed me gladly.
“Thanks. Job done. ” I said.
“Good of you my son. Now you are finally free from working with me. I will forward a hvge sum of cash into your account and hand over our company at Washington DC to you!”
“Thanks Dad ” I said and stood re-ady to leave.
Dad and I aren’t that close in terms of Father to son , we talk business strictly.
“Wait son!” He said and I turned.
“Did you kill the couple’s only daughter?” The question caught me unguarded, I do not even know if the couple had a daughter or not.
“I killed every single thing that lives In that house ” I said and he nodded.
“Good ,we are safe then”.
I walked away.

Three hours later , I met with her in her house and we start to discuss on random stuffs.
I told her how dad easily fell into my lies. I knew him to be very smart and was expecting him to detect easily that I didn’t kill them but he didn’t.
“I won’t do anything that will jeopardize your relationsh!pwith father ” She said and I nodded.
We began to discuss on random things and joke. She stood to ease herself and just then ,a message entered her phone.
At first , I wanted to ignore but I decide to check what could be inside the message.
She’s my girlfriend anyways and we shouldn’t feel somehow checking our messages.
The message re-ads;
“Money not yet completed , I don’t joke. From K. ”
I couldn’t un-derstand the message. She c@m£ around after few minutes and I narrated the message I re-ad on her phone.
“Who is K? ” I asked. “And what Job did he do for you?”
“Why are you asking me such questions like you are my father! We are only b©yfri£ndand girlfriend and we should still have some privacy. Does the message look like I’m cheating on you?”
“Common , don’t be angry , I’m just being curious.” I said but she carried her bag instead and walked away.
I regretted asking her such question but who in the world is K?.

Jessica’s POV continues.
After re-ading the third page ,I close the book and meditated on the p@rts that I had re-ad.
The girl here is Donald’s friend,even though her name was not mentioned ,Donald had told me a long time that Jennifer was once her girlfriend but I knew the person that killed my parent is a male and not a female.
The girlfriend must have only lied to Donald. Maybe she gave the job to another person to do.
I’m really confused right now but I will keep re-ading till I find out what I nee-d.

I can’t really explain why I took so much interest in knowing who K is. I had pleaded with her for my actions that made her walk away from me the last time and she had agreed but I promise myself to find out whom K is and what Job she must have given to her.
About five days later ,we were pla-ying inside my room when she suddenly told me she nee-ds to shower.
She went and left her phone behind. I opened it and search quic-kly for any contact called K.
I saved the digit quic-kly inside my phone and dropped her phone.
She c@m£ back few seconds later and sle-pt.
She left after series of jokes and discussion.
I picked my phone and called the K immediately and it was picked at the third ring.
“K , what’s up?” I asked and he went silent for a while.
“Donald. ” He called my name to my surprise and I almost lost balance on phone.
“Only your girlfriend knows me as K ,so I knew at once that only her b©yfri£ndmust have called. ”
“Oh! ” I was quiet for a while.
“What did you want ?”
“Erm…what Job did you do for her?”
“Excuse me ? You really want to know about the privacy of your girlfriend and I? If you really want to know about it ,why not ask her instead?”
“She’s not re-ady to confess ,just tell me , I will pay you twice the amount she offers. ” I said and he laughed.
“Funny ,I’m not poor. I’m sure she did not have half of the money she will pay me. Reason why I s£nt that message”
“Is it that exorbitant?”
“Exorbitant enough to buy a quarter of your father’s shares ” He said.
“What! What sort of a horrible job is that and why would she even go into that deal with you?”
“I trust her , she’s smart. She will get the money for me in no time. ” he said.
“I will still pay twice,just tell me.” I said.
“We don’t deal with words of mouth, let’s see. We make the agreement and I tell you after which you pay within fourteen days ”
“Where do we meet?”
“I will s£nd the address to you.”

Good , I’m getting somewhere. I went to the door to check if it is locked. After confirming that it’s locked, I sipped in water and fli-pped the next page open.
