I usually do have sleepless nights sometimes, I could walk around the palace keeping myself up… How could I sleep when there’s a witch out there manipulating me and my ancestors like stuffed dolls.. Besides the things I’ve seen is enough to make a man so terrified that he can’t shut his eyes even for a moment..
But recently these days , I’ve been f0rç£d to sleep, but b©dy can’t hold out any longer, it nee-ds to rest..
But one night, as I was slee-ping I had a very terrifying dream about Laila, I woke up terrified and scared even as I woke up, I heard her voices in my head, saying * it’s time *.
Upon hearing that, I knew what this was all about.. She must have know that I’ve found Sadiq a long time ago and she’ll st©p at nothing to make him her puppet as well… I can not allow this to go on any longer, its time I put an idea to this… No more of my descendants will serve this evil entity… Its time to shut her out… Without my blood line, her plans won’t succeed. It looks like its time to do what I’ve planned so many years ago… Forgive me Sadiq… But it’s for you own good.

Women! They’re lovable but de-ep down, they’re more dangerous and sinister than the devil himself… I couldn’t believe all this time it was Jasmine that was responsible for all this.. Sufyan’s death… I wanted to hate her, despise her, hurt her but I can’t… To be honest, it wasn’t her fault, She never knew the kind of people she was dealing with and she was desperate to go home.. But I couldn’t help but wonder if she hadn’t realized that she was going to be killed in the end, would she have continued doing what she was doing?
After she confessed about what she did, I kept my distance away from her, It’s not like I despise her, but I couldn’t trust her… For now she’s still a threat, The others might use her against me.. But As I was trying to stay a way from her, Jasmine was ma-king her ways towards me… On numerous occasions, she has apologized to me begging me not to ignore her, I as-sures her, that I wasn’t mad and I had forgiven her but the girl is just a pest.. Even when I’m slee-ping she would wake me up and apologize.. I tolerated this at first but I couldn’t take it any longer..
One afternoon, I was in the libr@ry re-ading some texts when I was approached by the mess£ngers I s£nt to Marida.

Mess£nger 1 ➡ Greetings my prince.

Sadiq ➡ Greetings to you too, how’s the journey? Hope it wasn’t rou-gh?

Mess£nger 2 ➡ We ba-rely made it my prince…. The desert storms were tough on us.. But thanks to the gods we made it back.

Sadiq ➡ Good… So how you found out what I’ve s£nt you for?

Mess£nger 1 ➡ Yes, my prince… We couldn’t enter the palace cause no outsiders could be allowed to get in… There were alot of security around the place..

Mess£nger 2 ➡ but we did manage to ask the people about the princess and its true… They said the princess disappeared from the palace without a trace, the Sultan even promised his daughter’s hand in marriage to whoever finds her and brings her back.

Sadiq ➡ Is that so? Okay then you can go.. Thank you, I’ll be sure to compensate you both for your efforts..

After that the mess£ngers left…. I couldn’t believe Franhan was right… So whoever brings back Jasmine gets a direct ticket to become the next future sultan of Nishkapur… Oh well, I’m not interested in that, I have a duty to fulfill here, as for Jasmine, by tomorrow I’ll arrange for a transport to take her back home… Where she belongs.
Just shortly after the mess£ngers left, Jasmine quietly c@m£ into the libr@ry with a pitiful look on her face, as usual she’s here to apologize again. She walked to me and stood by my side, I ignored her and pretended not to see her.. After a while, I felt her hands on my shoulders, I turned around and looked at her.

Jasmine ➡ Look! I know you pretended not to see me and I know you’re still hurt by what I did to you… plea-se I’m sor….

Sadiq ➡ Jasmine, that’s enough!! One more apology and I’ll s£nd you to the dungeons. I’ve told you over and over, I’m not angry at you.. I don’t blame you, you were pla-yed and you didn’t know the kind of people you were talking to.. You’re forgiven.

After that, things bec@m£ quiet between us, then all of a sudden Jasmine hvgged me ti-ghtly and shortly after that, she began to shed tears… Women, why are they so emotional? Sheesh.
After that, she attem-pted to k!ssme but I st©pped her…

Sadiq ➡ Hold it right there… No k!sses.

Jasmine ➡ Why?

Sadiq ➡ Never mind… And also I have good news for you… You’re going home tomorrow…

Jasmine ➡ What?? Are you serious?

Sadiq ➡ Yes.. By tomorrow, I’ll arrange everything so that you will be safe when journeying back home.

Jasmine ➡ (shocked) What??… So you’re saying those moments we had meant nothing to you..

Sadiq ➡ No… Look jasmine.. This is for your own good… tomorrow, you’ll be long gone to your home and you’ll forget all about this, us and me.. And..

Before I could finish that last statement, Jasmine sl@pped me ha-rd across the face, and i sure felt that, right down my spine. I looked at her surprised by what she did, Jasmine’s eyes was filled with rage and anger, she was glaring at me with hate and contempt.. After that, Jasmine walked out of the libr@ry.
To be honest, I never really meant what I said… I only said that to provoke her and make her forget about me… What I’m about to do is very dangerous and lives could be lost but I couldn’t let Jasmine get caught up in all this… Her life is alre-ady in danger and the best way to keep her alive is to s£nd her home.
So after staying in the libr@ry a while longer, I left the place and went out of the palace to meet Frahan…
As I rode into the streets of Marida, I sp©tted Frahan walking in a haste, so I rode towards his place to talk to him.

Sadiq ➡ Frahan!

Frahan ➡ Sadiq? Where have you been? Its been 5 days now since I’ve seen you, hope all is alright.
.
Sadiq ➡ Yes, are you going somewhere?

Frahan ➡ Yes, I’m going back to the house to deliver a message to the master.. What brings you here?

Sadiq ➡ Can we got somewhere and talk? It won’t take long.
.
We found a place close to the market, it was less crowded, so after ma-king sure nob©dy was listening, I told Frahan about my plans..

Frahan ➡ What? You can’t be serious? You can’t do this alone…. Its too risky..
.
Sadiq ➡ Its the only way… I have to tell my father today..
.
Frahan ➡ But you’ll nee-d proof..
.
Sadiq ➡ I don’t nee-d proof.. Its now or never.

Frahan ➡ Well, good luck… But be careful…. If anything goes wrong, come hide in my father’s shop… No one will find you there.

Sadiq ➡ Thanks Frahan. I’ll be going now.

I left Frahan and rode back to the palace… It was time my father knew what was happening… So immediately I arrived at the palace, I went straight to my father’s chamber, immediately I got there I saw Abdul and Queen Saudat.
They were surprised to see me, and so was I… But I alre-ady realized what they were up to.

Sadiq ➡ What’s the meaning of this?

Abdul ➡ What?

Sadiq ➡ What are you doing in father’s chamber?

Saudat ➡ I summoned him here… And what is a rat like you doing here?

Sadiq ➡ Where is father?.
.
Saudat ➡ He’s not around… Why are you looking for him?

Sadiq ➡ That’s not your business,… who-re!

Saudat ➡ What did you say to me?

Sadiq ➡ You heard me…

Abdul ➡ Insolence!! How dare you address her royal highness in this manner?

Sadiq ➡ Oh… Isn’t that what she is? I mean she does with Karim most often and you I’m sure you know your place, that is between Queen Aisha’s th!ghs.

Both of them glared at each other with shock as I said that… Their confidence was leveled by this statement of mine, in that moment, they knew why I was looking for father.

Abdul ➡ You insolent dog! You won’t get away with this..

Sadiq ➡ So will you.. But if I were you, I would pack my stuff and leave this kingdom.. While there’s still time.. When father returns he’ll know of your treachery and betrayal.

I walked out of the room and left them standing in awe, shock and fear.

Later that night, I waited and waited for father’s return, I had alre-ady armed myself in case, they tried to kill me. A bit later, I heard the sound of trumpets being b!own, it looks like Father had returned at last…
I went out of the room and went to see him, we soon crossed path as he was about to enter his chamber..

Sadiq ➡ Father! I wish to speak to you… There’s not a moment to lose..

Mustapha ➡ My son.. That can wait.. Just let me go inside and change .. I’ll be with you shortly.

Sadiq ➡ Take your time, father..
.
My father went in and i waited outside his door… My mind pounded fast waiting for him to come out, I was eager to tell him every that’s being going on in here.. Just then, I heard a scream inside father’s chamber, I was alarmed and terrified, I ban-ged at the door but there was no answer, I then barged in to see what was going on, as I got in, I saw my father on the ground, in a knife in his che-st, I rushed to his aid to help him but he was alre-ady dead, in that moment, Salim appeared out of nowhere, with blood on his hands.. He was shocked to see me as was I… I looked at his hands and looked at my father… It didn’t take long for me to realize what was happening… Salim was the one that killed him but why? Then another terrifying realization popped into my head… Could Salim be working with the others? He has to be… I remembered clearly when I told him about the Queens infidelity but he laughed it off.. So now that I was just about to expo-se them, they decided to kill father.. Since he was the alpha and omega and with him gone.. Nob©dy could st©p them.

Sadiq ➡ Why Salim? Why?

Salim ➡ I’m sorry my prince, but in time you’ll know the truth..

Sadiq ➡ What truth?

Salim didn’t wait that long to answer my questions… In that moment, he brou-ght out a small bag from his robe and he opened it and poured the contents over his head and within a blink of an eye, he was gone.
I was shocked by this… Was this magic? There was no trace of Salim, it was like he was never there… In that moment of shock, Abdul, karim, has-san and Hamid with their mothers c@m£ into the place with royal guards behind them.

Abdul ➡ By the gods….

Karim ➡ Damnation!

Has-san ➡ Father!!? Sadiq what have you done?

Sadiq ➡ I didn’t do it… It was Salim.
.
Hamid ➡ Liar!!!! Guards seize the murderer, Lock him in the dungeons..

The royal guards didn’t hesitate… They surrounded me, gr@bb£d me, and took me away, As I watched the faces of my enemies, They were smiling mischievously, knowing that their plan had worked. For what I know… By tomorrow death will be waiting for me.

Earlier that afternoon after being hurt emotionally by Sadiq, Jasmine goes to her room and cry… She lets out all her pent up emotions as tears flows continuously from her eyes… In that moment, She loathes Sadiq, she cursed him and wishes he was dead… But in her heart, she still loves him… She tries to forget about him but he keeps popping into her mind.. She wonders why she can’t forget him but most importantly, she begins to wonder why he was hostile towards her.. This was unnatural for him to do that all of a sudden.. But the more she tries to un-derstand, the more she gets confused. After getting worked up emotionally, she finally goes to sleep.
Later in the night, Jasmine is awoken by the noise going on in the palace halls… She gets up from be-d and heads to the door to check and see what’s going on but as she gets to the door, She hears both Abdul and Karim’s voice outside the door.

Abdul ➡ You should have seen the look on his face when he was taken away! The poor dog..
.
Karim ➡ Finally… Our chance has arrived… One of our sons gets to be the Sultan!
.
Abdul ➡ Yes.. But but my son will ascend the throne not yours.
.
Karim ➡ We shall see…
.
Abdul ➡ But before that happens, there’s something I’d like to ascend right now… I bet Sadiq’s concubine is still asleep.

Karim ➡ Forget her… We have to meet up with our wives now .. We have to plan how we’re going to get rid of Sadiq tonight… We can’t risk allowing him to let the public know about our secret.

Abdul ➡ Who’ll believe him? No one will.
.
Karim ➡ don’t be too sure… Its better we kill him now so that our secret dies with him besides.. If anyone asks, we’ll tell them the king and his son were murdered.

Abdul ➡ By who?

Karim ➡ Hmm, I haven’t thought about it…. Wait… I know… Let the concubine take the fall for it.. Simple and it… It will be like the same thing we did to Sadiq’s mother..

I couldn’t believe it…. But I heard everything loud and clear… Sadiq is captured, his father is dead and now they’re going to kill him and blame me for it… I couldn’t believe they did this to Sadiq’s mother….. But the only difference is.. I’ll be killed. I can’t let this happen… But how will I escape? I can’t do back to Nishkapur alone.. In fact, I don’t even know the way there… The only person who could get me out is Sadiq and now he’s locked up.. I have to do something but what?
In that moment, I got an idea.. Back in Nishkapur I was thought how to make to make poisonous with some flowers, it wasn’t really necessary but I had to learn it just in case of situations like this.. Thankfully, there was a p@rticular flower here that I nee-ded to make a deadly poison, its called #White_snakeroot.
Its a very beautiful flower but its very deadly.. Once affected by the flower’s poison, you’ll be dead in an instant and the best p@rt is it can’t be detected and the victim doesn’t nee-d to feel pain or suffer. Once consumed the victim dies without a feeling any discomfort.
So I plucked the flowers from the garden, extracted the jui-ce and mixed it with some delicious wine… I dressed s£dûçt!velyand headed straight to the Dungeon.
As I got there, I saw a hvge man sitting at the front cell Sadiq was locked up in, I approached him swaying my h!ps and giving me smiles.. The man saw me and began to grin sheepishly.

Guard ➡ By the gods! Aren’t you a beauty? What’s the name?

Jasmine ➡ Jasmine…..
.
Guards ➡ Jasmine… Pretty name.. So what brings you here?

Jasmine ➡ i was s£nt by her highness.. To keep you company.. Since my owner is now behind bars.

Guards ➡ O ho, ho,… Unbelievable… Sadiq! Looks like your sl-ut will be entertaining me… You lucky b*stard… I’m going to enjoy what you’ve been enjoying. (Laughs)

Jasmine ➡ Here’s a drink for you…

Guards ➡ Thanks… (Drinks)…. Hmm, it’s delicious, I hope you taste like this wine?

Jasmine ➡ and I hope you fv¢k better than my former companion?

Guards ➡ Oh you can count on it… Sadiq.. Your bit-ch is mine tonight..

I didn’t like this one bit but I sure loved the look of jealousy in Sadiq’s eyes… That will serve him right for breaking my heart.
The Guard pu-ll-ed me close to him and he began to fondle my a**, I too reached down and t©uçhed his rod.. It was alre-ady ha-rd and erect… Sadiq watched with anger in his eyes as I mas-saged the guards p*nis, He couldn’t believe I was doing this in front of him but little did he know this was all ploy nothing more..
In that moment, The guard took another swig of the wine and gulped everything down… Immediately he did that, He fell down ha-rd on the floor. Shortly after that, he was dead..
I quic-kly reached down and re-moved the key from his w@!st and opened the door for Sadiq, He was surprised by the turn of events that he was speechless.
After I opens the door for him, he c@m£ out and stood before me, staring into my eyes..

Jasmine ➡ Hold your ton-gue! Here’s how this is going to be.. When we escape from here… You’re taking me back to Nishkapur and if you refuse… I’ll shout and attra-ct attention and you’ll be back where you’re meant to be… Behind bars.. Now let’s go before…..

Sadiq ➡ LOOK OUT!!!

At the far end of the Dungeon, there was another guard as well, he must have heard the sound his companion made when he fell to his death. While I was talking to Sadiq, He had seen us and had alre-ady aimed his weapon (bow and arrow) at us, Luckily for me, Sadiq saw him fire the arrow which headed straight towards me, Sadiq got in the way, and the arrow hit his che-st.. I g@sped when I saw the arrow pierce Sadiq’s che-st.. But to my surprise, Sadiq retaliated and gr@bb£d the dead guard’s spear and threw it at the other guard… The spear pinned the guard to the wall. After that, Sadiq fell on his knees clutching to his che-st. I bent down and helped him up, one way or another, we’re both leaving, I can’t let him die on me like this..

Sadiq ➡ Its over.. We won’t make it..

Jasmine ➡ We will..

Sadiq ➡ How?

I looked around and saw the two guards and an idea popped into my head… Without wasting any time.. I str!pped one of the guards and disguised Sadiq as one of the guards, after that, we left the dungeons and we went out of the palace without anyone suspecting us.. We got to the stables, took one of the horses and rode into the night…
