Andres kept stealing glances at Miranda as they drove to the p@rty. She hadn’t hesistated to get dressed when he mentioned Lisette’s ghost. Turned out she was more scared of ghosts than she was scared of him.
“If you keep stealing gkances I’ll call the police” Miranda said without sparing him a glance
Andres chuckled “You’re beautiful tonight.. I shouldn’t have chos£n that dress”
It was a pretty green dress with an open back and a plunging n£¢kline. It was so short that Andres wasn’t entirely convinced it would cover all her important bits.
“I’m jealous” he said and glanced at her with a sm-irk “don’t bend down at the p@rty”
Miranda scoffed “I’m always dropping things”
“I’ll help you pick”
They got to the venue and Miranda got down without any argument.
“This p@rty shouldn’t be holding” she said when Andres took her hand
“Why?”
“If Lisette is dead, then her brother shouldn’t be throwing a p@rty”
“there were only few people who cared about her– he wasn’t one of them”
“then why are we here if the person who invited us is dead?”
“you ask a lot of questions Miranda. It was her last wish that we attend the p@rty and that’s why we’re here”
Miranda said nothing else and let Andres lead her inside.
“There are a lot of people here” she said to herself when they got inside
“you don’t get sick when you’re in the crowd do you?” Andres wanted to be sure she wasn’t agora-phobic after staying in doors for so many years.
“I’ll only get sick if I see Lisette here”
Andres sm-irked “Let’s say hi to some friends”
Miranda didn’t want to meet his friends. She didn’t want him introducing her to people as his wife. She didn’t want to believe she belonged to him. And she didn’t want people believing she was his.
“I nee-d to use the restroom” she said to excuse herself from the introduction
“should I come with you?”
“No.. I’ll be fine” she knew she wouldn’t be. Not when she still feared Lisette’s ghost was around but she nee-ded to go alone.
Andres watched the sway her h!ps and he couldn’t st©p regretting his choice. The go-wn was a total catastrophe. The way other men looked at her proved it all.
Miranda couldn’t find the restroom so she asked a servant who was standing by.
“where can I find the restroom”
“Take that corridor” she pointed to a door opposite them.
“Thank you” Miranda walked to the door. She took her time to walk, enjoying the way the men drooled over her. That same look she got whenever she walked into Crazy Horse. She really missed the club.
She pushed the door open and found a long corridor. It was the restroom with different doors at each side. Left for the men and right for the ladies. She counted five doors to the right and knocked on it. There was no one inside. She pushed the door open and she could swear she heard someone calling Lisette.
Miranda’s heart skipped a beat. Lisette had come for her. She suddenly wished she had let Andres come with her. She ran inside the ladies and locked the door. She would be safe inside as long as Lisette didn’t know she was in there.
But if she was really a ghost then she would find her. Miranda felt her head heating. Her courage was failing her and she couldn’t breath. She was sure she would pas-s out if someone didn’t find her before Lisette.
She heard heavy ghostly footsteps approaching the toilet she was in. She moved from the door and held the basin for support.
Before she c@m£ to the restroom she didn’t really want to use the toilet, just wanted to get away from Andres. But right there in the ladies, when fear crept into her mind, she nee-ded to pee but too scared to make a sound. She feared Lisette would find her if she heard the sound of water rushing. Miranda thought she could just hold on a few more minutes, Andres might come looking for her when he realized she had been gone for too long.
But the pain was starting to get worse and the footsteps got closer and closer and louder. She squee-zed her legs together as ti-ght as she could, holding her breath, hoping she would make it. Then she felt her bladder re-ady to pop, she squee-zed and squee-zed, but it was no use. That familiar warmth started seeping throu-gh, we-tting herself, her p@n-ties, and her go-wn. A flush of embarras-sment rushed throu-gh her. Then she heard a knock on the door and tears welled up in her eyes.
“Miranda?! Miranda?! Are you in there?”
Andres?!
She ran to the door and unlocked it then flung it open. Andres was standing right there with a worried look.
“Are you okay?”
“I had an accident” she said as tears ran down my face.
Andres looked down at her and un-derstood what she meant. “$h!t!” he looked around to make sure no one was watching then he walked in and slammed the door behind him.
“How did this happen? You didn’t locate the toilet in time?”
“I did but she’s here” Miranda cried
“who’s here?”
“Lisette’s ghost.. She followed me to the toilet and I was afraid to use the toilet so she wouldn’t find which one I was in…” Miranda chocked in her tears “then it happened.. I didn’t mean to”
Andres’ expression turned murderous. Miranda wasn’t sure if he was mad at her for the fact that she peed on herself and ruined her new dress or he was mad at the fact that she was still scared of ghosts.
“wait here” he said and made to leave
Miranda st©pped him “don’t leave me here plea-se”
Andres heaved a sigh. How innocent she looked. He was enjoying it but he didn’t want her living in fear. He had to warn Lisette.
“I’ll be back” he walked out ignoring her protests cause he knew she wouldn’t follow him wearing a we-t dress. He found Lisette in the hall where he had seen her few minutes ago. She was having a drink with her friends.
“Hey!” Lisette called as he approached them
“Lisette we nee-d to talk”
She noticed he didn’t have that smile he always had on his face and there was no time for jokes.
“I’ll be back” she excused her friends and followed Andres to a corner.
“what happened that day at my house wasn’t intentional” Andres started “I didn’t plan on scaring Miranda and I know you didn’t plan for it either.. It just happened….”
“I don’t un-derstand what you’re talking about” she interrupted him
“let me finish” he said sternly “If Miranda is scared of you, it was all my fault– I shouldn’t have lied to her about your death but I didn’t do it to get her scared. I just wanted to gain her obe-dience and I got that so why would you be going around scaring my wife”
He emphasized on the last statement and Lisette knew he was really furious.
“I still don’t know what you’re talking about”
“Sure you do” Andres raised his voice “you followed her to the restroom didn’t you?”
“I didn’t”
Andres pinned her with his eyes and she scoffed.
“fine I did. But I didn’t mean to scare her, I thought she was hiding from you so I did that so she would run back to you” Lisette knew she was lying. She had done that to keep Miranda in the restroom while the p@rty went on but she didn’t expect Andres would find her soon.
“You know she’s afraid of you because she thinks you’re really dead” Andres yelled angrily
“I’m sorry. St©p yelling alre-ady people are watching us”
Andres looked around and she was right– he had managed to attra-ct unnecessary attention.
He sighed and walked out. Lisette just watched him furiously as he disappeared into the crowd.
“who was that?” her friends as they walked up to her
“Prince Andres”
“What?” they g@sped “you’re friends with the Hereditary Grand Duke of this country?”
“I didn’t know until we bec@m£ friends and now everything is ruined because of his clumsy wife” Lisette huffed
“what happened?” Sydney, who was the only blonde amongst them asked
“I’ll tell you but first you girls have to help me get my revenge” Lisette sm-irked
“what revenge?”
“sweet revenge sisters.. Sweet revenge” she seethed.

Andres left the p@rty and drove to a nearby mall to get another dress for Miranda. When he got one, he returned to the toilet and found her sitting on the floor with her face in her palms as she cried furiously.
“Miranda?!” Andres tilted her chin, forcing her to look at him “I’m sorry.. I had to get you something to wear”
She sniffles and he helped her to her feet.
“you have to get out of those”
Miranda saw the disgust clearly written in his face and heat of embarras-sment filled her.
“it’s okay.. It wasn’t intentionally now take those clothes off” he pacified
Miranda was reluctant to undress in front of him even if it didn’t really mean anything at that moment.
“There’s something you nee-d to know but you have to change first” he couldn’t risk telling her the truth about Lisette yet. He knew she would flare up and pick up her rebellious attitude again. She would never listen to him again.
“you have to turn around” she knew her cheeks had turned red when she said that
“Miranda we don’t have time.. You’ll get itchy in those clothes if you don’t take them off soon. And you wouldn’t want people getting ideas if they find out there’s a man and a woman in the ladies”
Miranda knew Andres was right. And she also knew he wouldn’t leave if she hadn’t taken off her we-t clothes. She turned her back at him and closed her eyes. It wasn’t a big deal to undress in front of him after all. He had seen her n-ked thousands of times and he was her husband even if she wouldn’t admit that. She wasn’t even some high school v!rg!nand it wasn’t the first time she was undressing in front of a man except she was always shy when it comes to Andres.
“let me help you” she heard Andres’ soft voice as his hands c@m£ to her Zi-p
“Andres?!” she skrie-ked but didn’t dare turn to face him “what are you doing?”
“pla-ying lady’s maid” he answered with a grin and unZi-pped the go-wn.
Miranda still didn’t turn as she kept the go-wn drop to her ankle. She heard Andres svçkin a breath as she stood there half n-ked wearing only her we-t p@n-ties br@less.
She was shaking and didn’t open her eyes. What if Andres was standing right beside her.
She shook off the thought and took in a de-ep breath. It took her all her will to take off her p@n-ties, leaving her standing there– n-ked.
“the clothes” she stretched out her hand with her eyes still closed.
Andres gave her the bag wordlessly. She took the bag but couldn’t figure out how she would dress up with her eyes closed. She didn’t even know what the clothes looked like. She slowly opened her eyes and turned to see Andres facing the door. He wasn’t watching her and she was relieved. Guess he couldn’t stand the sight of seeing her there staked n-ked. She hurriedly found the un-derwear he bought and put them on. She brou-ght out the purple dress that had caught her fancy when she opened the bag. It was a long go-wn this time but the open n£¢kline at the front was sure to expo-se her cleavages. She put on the go-wn and she was right after all. It was cut with a de-ep V at the w@!st both front and back, which emphasized the swell of her h!ps and brea-sts in relation to her tiny middle.
She looked beautiful in the dress. More beautiful than the first one. She put the we-t clothes in the bag and turned to face Andres who still had his back at her.
“I’m decent” she sought his attention
Andres breathed out in relief and turned to see her fully dressed. A small smile broke from the side of hisl-ips.
“You’re beautiful in everything” he moved closer to her “now you’re free to bend down”
Miranda almost chuckled but that would mean laughing at his jokes so she st©pped herself.
“what did you want to tell me?” she asked him
“I’ll tell you but after I’ve done one more thing” he pu-ll-ed her into his arms and k!$$£d her. She didn’t k!sshim back but she didn’t fight him.
Andres knew telling Miranda the truth would re-lease the beast in her and he wanted to enjoy his last happy moment with her.
Andres brushed hisl-ips across her cheek then pu-ll-ed away to look at her.
“tell me now” she was running out of patience
“first I have to get far away from you” he moved to the door and unlocked it then held the handle in case there was a reason to run.
“what do I do with these?” Miranda was referring to the we-t clothes
“leave them in the basin” he replied and that was exactly what she did– drop them in the basin.
“so?” she crossed her arms around her che-st and waited for him to talk
Okay!
Andres tried calming down. She’s only going to scream. He tried telling himself.
But he knew she wouldn’t just scream. She might chase him round the p@rty since she wouldn’t be scared of ghosts anymore.
“The thing is—” Andres’ heart was racing “Actually, Lisette isn’t really dead”
He paused to gauge her reaction before he went on. Miranda didn’t move. She didn’t talk. It seemed like time had st©pped and she just peered into his eyes.
Andres wasn’t sure if he should go on or run out of the bathroom.
He waited as seconds rolled into minutes and a small sm-irk broke from herl-ips.
His heart skipped a bit. She clenched her fist and stretched her muscles.
“What were you saying?” she was smiling. A total, wicked smile. “what were you saying Andres? I didn’t get a thing”
“You see—” he opened the door and stepped one leg out “Lisette isn’t dead. The thing is, I was just trying to scare you.. No.. I was trying to.. I didn’t really have any intentions at all… I just wanted to… Nothing… I had no intentions at all” He said and what followed next shocked him
She smiled and moved closer but he stepped back.
“I want to have a word with Lisette”
“you want to talk to her?”
“just say ‘hi’ that’s all” Miranda shrugged “she told me she has been eager to see me”
Andres stared at her in doubts “Miranda are you sure of this?”
Miranda posted herl-ips “come one Andres.. I’ve never been sure of nothing else in my life. I just want to talk to her.. Just talk”
