“Why didn’t you tell me this mom?, We’ve seen each other since 5 years now , why didn’t you tell me the truth ?” I asked feeling disappointed and lied to all my life .
She held my hand and took in a deep breath.
” Because i didn’t want you to hate anyone”she replied
” But this is a reason enough for me to hate that woman that called her self my stepmother” I try not to yell.
” That’s the point Gwen , you shouldn’t blame her” mom said and i shook my head disbelief by her response, is she being serious.
” What , mom can you hear your self , that woman destroyed your home , she made dad hate you and throw you out of your own matrimonial home mom, and your being so nice to her , who those that?” I asked upset.
“Gwen , it wasn’t Emily’s fault , she didn’t know your father was married when he got drunk and slept with her , and also your father is the one responsible for our broken home because he believed what he heard from the outside, he used his own hands to destroy it ,even when I found out another woman was carrying his child , when he explained he was drunk and it was a mistake i believe him because he was sincere, I gave him another chance and forgave him Because i loved him”she said .
” Gwen you might have seen your ex fiance with his ex girlfriend in an uncompromising state and took it the wrong way , you have to listen to him before you do what you will regret for life” she said .
” But mom, I saw it myself , he had s*x with her ” I cried.
She took my face in her “he didn’t have s*x with her , she had s*x with him” she said and i frowned at her .
” What difference is that ?” I asked.
” There’s a difference, all you have to do is find out and stop Running away from the truth” she said and got up , I watch her as she got up went to her desk and took her phone.
” Here ” she said stretching her phone for me,I looked at it and back at her.
” Why are you giving me your phone?” I asked
“His address is in it, if your still inlove with him then you should go and hear him out, but if you don’t then I won’t force you ” she said as i looked at the phone and back at her .
I gently collected it from her she smiled .
” I knew you still loved him , am glad your Willing to hear him out , he will be so happy to see you ” mom said and i couldn’t help but stare at the phone and back at her .
Am I really going to do this?
The following day :
I sat in my car as I looked at Marion’s penthouse, yes I actually agree to see him,maybe what mom said is right, maybe he should explain to me what happened that day ,
why he had to cheat on me, I deserve an
explanation.
So taking a deep breath i stepped down from my car and held my gold purse in my hand , i gently walked to meet the receptionist.
” Mr Marion Rodriguez” I said and she smiled.
” Sir has been expecting you miss, 12th floor “she said and i smiled at her .
” Thanks” I turned and head to the elevator and pressed 12th floor , wow so he really believed my mom was gonna succeed in bringing me here he really was expecting me .
The elevator dang and I stepped out I reach the door and i stared at it for a while , it’s time to know the truth Gwen , be smart and stand high , I gently knocked on the door , 1 2 3 and it pulled open showing Marion who his hair was dim From the shower.
His putting on short and a white polo , his curly hair falling to his forehead making him look so incredibly hot, I couldn’t help but stare at him.
When I got out of stupid thoughts he was smiling at me , that smile I haven’t seen since the last five years .
” Hi, you …you came?” He sounded surprised I gave him a little smile .
” Of course weren’t you expecting me?” I asked
“Of course I was , come in”he held the door wide for me and i stepped in gently .
” Wow you look beautiful in your outfit” he said looking at my outfit, I’ve worn a black gown stopped at my knee , i smiled at him.

” Thanks ” I replied.
” Have a seat “he said and i nodded then took my seat , he smiled he seem very happy .
” Do you want anything maybe drink or ….
” Thanks Marion , but am here because mom told me you have something to tell me , so I just came for you to tell me” I said.
Am really Eager to go straight to the point, I really want to know why he cheated on me .
He gently sat down on the center table facing me directly, we looked into each other’s eyes and i couldn’t help but feel my heart flip, this is how I feel each time am with him , I just can’t help the feeling.
” Where do you want me to start from?” He asked calmly.
” From the top ” I replied.
He rubbed his hair and chew on his lower lip before looking into my eyes .
” First of all , I’d like to apologize for keeping her a secret from you , I didn’t do it intentional” he said , so he admitted they’ve been together and i never knew this can’t get anything better .
” And it’s not in the Dimension your thinking” he added staring into my eyes , good I think he just read my mind .
” Okay “, I replied quietly.
” On our graduation’s day , Ava , she met me and asked for forgiveness, she said she just wanted us to be friends, which I considered but it wasn’t more than that , I should had told you about it but I knew you would freak out and since I don’t really see her as anything to me I don’t think it was off the stress for
you so I didn’t tell you ” he said quietly.
He rubbed his temple.
” That day you saw what you shouldn’t had ,she came uninvited, because i made sure she didn’t know where I stay and that day was her first day at my place” he said then took in a breath .
I just sat quietly listening to him .
“When I asked her how she located me, she said my dad gave it to her , I was furious with my dad but he pleaded and I understood why he did it ” he said quietly.
” I offered her a drink and she started telling me she dated Harris but he only used her and cheated on her , to be sincere I wasn’t interested in what she was telling me I just wanted her to go , I excused myself later to call and tell you she was at my place but
decided against it that you will get upset since you never really like her , and I knew she was soon gonna leave , so i didn’t tell you” he said and closed his eye like what he was about to say would will so bad .
“So I went back to her , if,…if ….” He kept repeating, I knew he wanted to say something.
” If what? ” I was Eager to know.
He stare into my eyes and i saw the redness his eyes suddenly turned, like a tear is gonna drop but he blinked it back .
” If I heard known her plan, I wouldn’t had drank my wine again” he said and i think I got what he was trying to say .
“Wait ….” I said as he looked at me ” she….she drugged you ?” I asked quietly he stared at me for a while I was Eager to hear him.
He gently nodded and i face palmed myself .
“Oh my God” I whispered as my tears fell ” oh my God” I kept repeating.
He knelt down and pulled my hands from my face as my tears slide down .
” Gwen , I tried to push her away I knew what she was doing but ..,I …I …I couldn’t stop her” his tears fell as my lips trembled.
” When I saw the engagement ring , I almost killed her I ….I ” he cried as I couldn’t help but cry out .
How can I be so stupid, I ended our wonderful relationship because i thought he cheated , I shouldn’t had ran out that moment , I should had beaten up that bitch .
“Am sorry ” I whispered.
He took my face in his hand as he looked into my eyes .
” I should had waited ” I whispered again my tears falling.
” No love, it wasn’t your fault,i understand how you felt that moment ” he said placing his forehead on mine .
” Am sorry sorry ,…I didn’t know, I didn’t know I thought you …..you cheated” I cried as my lips trembled, he kissed my forehead.
” It’s not your fault, it was mine , if I would had told you she was with me, maybe the situation would had been different, am sorry for keeping the truth from you ” he said
Kissing my nose .
“Am sorry for not trusting you , I was just broken at that moment, I didn’t trust you enough to fight for our relationship am really sorry Marion ” I whispered.
I was sorry , I really miss him,ive always missed him, all along I thought he cheated ,but he never did, I doubted his love for me, I didn’t trust him enough.
“Shhh….it’s over , it’s over now love , I love you so much , I never stopped” he whispered as we look into each other’s eyes.
“Oh Marion , please kiss me ” I whispered and he didn’t wait for me to repeat it , he crushed
his lips on mine .
And we both started kissing wildly making up for those years we’ve lost, I clung to him tightly as I kissed him back , oh how I miss his touch, the way he kept my body heated with unending passion ,I’ve missed this, most especially him, I really missed him.
