“Mr Tristan, is it true your father was the wanted drug dealer and also a murderer” a reporter asked as I stepped out of my house
Gosh!!, This people can’t just give someone his own space
“How true is the saying that you were only married to Tiana, just to convert their family company to yours entirely? ” Another reporter asked…
“Excuse me plea-se, I got something important to attend to” I said walking towards my car

I kept on hearing side gossips, but I decided to pay them no attention, they can say whatever they want to say. I wonder the fool who even let them into my compound..
My father’s death is now all over the place, with tags like ‘say no to murder’, ‘say no to drug abuse’, and so many negative stuff…
Dad died a painful death, it hurts. But it was best. Cause he could never escape jail, and if there is no corruption, he would surely be s£ntenced to death for murder.
His b©dy was ceased and buried among criminals, his image destroyed in a week, he couldn’t even have a proper burial.
The drug warehouse was burnt down, and the money was ceased by the government for the less privilege.
I had to pay the fine as-signed to our family by the Davidson’s come. Gladly that wasn’t a problem for me.
All this started, when dad greed for liquidity began. That was the beginning of his downfall. The painful p@rt was that, I never knew.
True indeed the saying, ‘Money is the root of all evil’
I knew my dad was never a believer, but I pray he’s forgiven of his evil deeds….

The only thing I want to do now is to see Tiana. I’ve lost someone important in my life, I can’t loose an important treasure in addition. I must prove to her how innocent my intention was to her.

I finally swallowed in the courage to open her room door. I just hope her mum isn’t here now.
And luckily it was Samantha sitting beside her be-d, she was asleep, always asleep when am here to see her.
She quic-kly stood up walking to me at the door post…
“Hi Samantha” I greeted as she approached me
“Hi” she replied with a smile…
“plea-se can I see Tiana, just for some minutes” I said and she sighed …
“I wish, but her mum said, I shouldn’t allow any members of the Trevor’s family near her especially you, if she finds you here, she wouldn’t want to give me a time with Tiana again” she said and I hit my forehead in frustration….
” plea-se Samantha, I promise it won’t take long, I just want to talk to her”I pleaded
” No Tristan, I can’t take that risk, plea-se leave” she said
” plea-se Samantha, don’t you trust me?, Am innocent of all those accusations, it was all my dad’s doing. I want to explain everything to her, she’s hurting that way, the best way to make her get well fas-ter is for her to know the truth” I said and she nodded
” I guess you’re right, come on in, make it snappy plea-se, I’ll wait outside, don’t stress her much” she said
” Thanks Sam” I said
” It’s no problem” she replied with a smile, walking out, closing the door behind her…
I quietly walked to Tiana sitting on the space on her be-d.
“Tiana” I called softly and surprisingly she opened her eyes staring at me angrily. I guess she wasn’t slee-ping.
“What are you doing here Tristan? Leave or else I’ll call the security” she said blinking her eyes
” No sweetie, just let me talk to you” I said
“Don’t call me that” she said
” Tiana, I swear all those were my dad’s doing, I had nothing to do with whatever he did to you, I have no idea he was capable of hurting a human the way he did to you, talk more of killing” I said and she wi-de-ned her eyes at me
” What!!” She exclaimed
“Promise you won’t hate me after I tell you this” I said and she reluctantly nodded.
” Ap@rt from the crime my dad committed against your company,My dad was a murderer and a drug trafficker” I said looking down in pain
” you’re joking right? ” She said weakly
” The day I rescued you from that stupid place, was the day my father was caught off guard. He was later sh0t and sadly we lost him” I said and looked up at her face to see her reaction and surprisingly she was crying….
“Are you okay swiii?” I asked
“Am sorry you lost your dad Tristan, but you hurt me real bad” she said
” I know, it was all my fault for not telling you until you found out from my dad and all the damages has alre-ady been done” I said sadly
” I know Tristan, am okay with that alre-ady, but the face is that you did worst to me” she said
” I don’t un-derstand” I replied
“I know you promised to revenge for sl@pping you, but what you did was overboard” she said with tears flowing from her eyes. I wanted to wipe them off but I just decided to let her talk her first
“Am really confused here Tiana, explain more” I inquired
” Why didn’t you just tell me, you were using me to get back to Alicia, why does it had to be me” she said in years shocking the hell out of me….
“What are you saying Tiana, I can never do that to you. Whatever I said to you was true and from my heart, my dad only wanted you to hate me to increase your pain” I said and she sobbe-d the more
” St©p crying okay, so you wouldn’t hurt yourself the more” I said and she sniffled, I brou-ght my hands to her face wiping off the flowing tears.
“Am sorry okay, for everything my dad caused you. And for me not telling you about it from the beginning, plea-se find a place in your heart to forgive me? ” I pleaded and she nodded forcing a smile on her face
” I forgive you Tristan” she said ma-king my heart leap for joy, but it was cut short when her mum walked in. Surprisingly she didn’t make any noise but only stared at me murderously
I stood up, giving Tiana an unexpected pe-ck on herl-ips, ma-king her stare at me surprised….
“I love you baby, get well soon” I said walking out quic-kly not even waiting for her to say anything. Am glad she knows my true feelings and had forgiven me. Only me can explain the happiness I feel inside, even though I couldn’t talk to her again because of her mum’s arrival…

I was in the boss office cause he called me in…
“Good day sir” I greeted
“Good day Archie” he replied flashing a ravishing smile at me .
What’s going on?
” You s£nt for me?” I said
“Yes, pardon my manners, have your seat” he said surprising me at his sudden difference.
“The president and the NBI organization are really happy at your performance in handling the drug case. You did not only find out the person behind the drug case but you also revealed more mysteries of the criminal, what no one has done in ages” he said and I nodded
” I must say the truth to you son, I wasn’t expecting such performance from you.” He said and I nodded
” This letter is from the president to you” he said stretching a white neat envelope to me, I accepted happily…
Wow!!, A letter from the president.
“This is from the NBI organization to you. You’ve been promoted to my as-sistant. That means you are now the second head of the NBI in the whole California, congrats son” he said stretching an envelope to me and also stretching his hands for an handshake which I took immediately…
“Thanks slot sir, I really appreciate you” I said and he chuckled
“We should be the one thanking you Archie” he said and I smiled happily

I walked into my office to see Samantha waiting for me in there, I smiled at her in happiness…
“Why are you looking this excited?” She asked
“I’ve been promoted” I said happily showing her the letter, she took it and screamed out loud jumping on me after re-ading the content…..
“Wow, wow, wow!! This is unbelievable” she said smiling
” Am so happy for you Archie” she added and I smiled back at her
” Why don’t I take you out, so we can wash this” I said and her cheeks flu-shed pink, ma-king me chuckle.
“Of course” she replied
“Ladies first” o said and she chuckled as we walked out from my office to my car

“Mum, am glad to see you again” plea-se don’t go again I shouted and she smiled at me sadly
“Alicia, this is not where you belong, you are still young” she said
“No mum I want to stay with you” I replied
” No Alicia, go back to your brother, he nee-ds you seriously” she said
“No mum, I want you” I said crying
” go back Alicia, you’ve done a good job alre-ady by ex-posing the evil behind our downfall, go back okay” she said and I finally agreed
” Fine mum, I love you, I’ll miss you” I said in tears
“Am always with you Alicia, my word for you is to let the guy be, the guy that loves you will come for you” she said confusing me
” What are you talking about mum? ” I asked
” You’ll no sweetie, bye” she said disappearing, I turned back not knowing where to go, suddenly I woke up in an unfamiliar environment, confused until I saw Fernando sitting beside my be-d, he hasn’t noticed me yet
“Where am I?” I asked weakly
“Alicia, you’re awake” he said happily

🌺 Tristan’s pov 🌺
“How may I help you Alicia?” I asked as Alicia walked to me in my office.
” Am here for us to discuss some important things” she said
“Like?” I asked
“First, I want to apologise for your dad’s death, accept my condolence” she said
“it’s bygone alre-ady. Am the one supposing to be apologize, cause my dad did worst to you and your brother, he took away your parents” I said and she took a de-ep breath
” It’s not your fault Tristan, you are just a victim” she said and I nodded…
” Yh so, back to why you are here” I said taking a seat and she followed
“Uhmm Tristan, I know what am gonna say is foolish, but plea-se don’t take it that way” she said ma-king me curious
” And what could that be?” I asked
“Am sorry for all what I’ve done to you from the beginning. I made you who you never wanted to be because of my greed and subtilty. The guilt just keep on eating me up and I want you to forgive me from your heart” she pleaded surprising me.
” It’s okay Alicia, you’ve been throu-gh more, am glad you’ve known your mistakes. But I don’t think we could ever be together again” I said
” Why?” She asked with no emotion
“Cause am in love with someone else” I said and surprisingly she smiled at me.
” Tiana I guess” she said
“You’re right” I replied returning the smile to her
“I wish you both good luck, am happy you found someone who would love you better than I did, thanks for the love you shew to me then even though I never appreciated it” she said sadly
” That’s bygone Alicia, I also wish you’ll find someone better than I” I said and she chuckled…
” Well what’s your plan, since you guys are no longer together?” She asked…
Well she’s right, Tiana and I are no longer married, her parents cut of the marriage immediately they found out what my dad’s real intentions were, but am glad it didn’t disturb the clos£ness between I and Tiana.
I also paid off the Davidson’s company that was hacked by dad, and now they are back to business.
Am glad everything is back to normal for me,but sadly without my dad…

👗 Alicia’s pov 👗
My life has been nothing but a movie with bridges. Life has never been favourable to me from the beginning, but I accept it with all hope. Cause some of it were just my fault.
Yh I agree, I was only chasing after riches and liquidity not to notice that the one who loved and valued me was right beside me….
And I can’t do anything again cause I know it can never be mine again, no matter what happens.
My gladness would still remain of me not Involving my self in Mr Trevor’s shady business. Who knows where I would have been, probably in jail or worst dead.
Sydney, Jack and the others who didn’t due doing the gun battle were s£ntenced to life in prisonment…
And 20% of the money ceased from the drug business was given to us by the authorities as compensation for our parents.
Am glad and not good that Mr Trevor died.
Am glad because, he does not deserve life cause he is worst than a beast. Am not glad cause he didn’t face judgement and suffer in jail, probably during his ha-rd labor process he dies. Am not wicked, bit that’s what he deserves.
Am just glad everyone is at rest and happy especially Fernando who got what he wanted the most.
Now I can face my modelling career and start my life all over again.

“Where are you off to Tiana?” Mum said as I was leaving the house
” No where really important mum, just going to see a friend” I said and she walked closer to me
” Tristan right?” She said
” Uhmm, I…
” No nee-d to cover up Tiana” she cut me in.
” Well you are right mum am going to see him actually, don’t be upset plea-se” I said and she smiled
” Well am not sweetie. I know I told you not to have anything doing with that guy. But I actually noticed a spark in you for him and between the both of you and only discovered how perfect you both are together. Follow your heart baby, your happiness is my joy” she said ru-bbing my hands ma-king me really happy
” Thanks mum, I love you so so, much” I said and she pu-ll-ed me into a hvg
” What about me” I heard dad voice behind and I chuckled
“Love you too Dad” I said hvgging them both…
“Well I have to go, it’s not good for me to be late, bye mum, dad” i said leaving
” Enjoy yourself sweetie” she said
“Sure mum” I replied…
Well my dad c@m£ out from coma surprisingly without any complications. And since Tristan decided to pay off his father’s debt to our companies, the companies are now back to shape.
At Least, the family I’ve always wanted and dreamt about, is now my reality…

“Jeez Archie, that movie was so scary, am never watching that again, especially with you” I said and he laughed
” Scaredy cat, since a kid, you’ll never change Samantha, don’t forget, you got free popcorn and ice cream” he said and I chuckled
” Ewww, not like I can’t afford that” I said and he pouted
“That was special,it contained love and affection” he said and I chuckled trying to hide the blus-h.
” You’re crazy dude” I said
“For you alone” he said and I chuckled again
We were now at my door post…
“Okay bye Sam love you unlimitedly” he said bending to k!ssmyl-ips but the door Brooke open unexpectedly, scaring me. Who could be in my house by this time, I locked the house
I looked up and was surprised to find my mum and Archie’s mum standing in front of us.
“Mum” I called surprised

“So what are you guys doing here mum, is quite unexpected” I said
“Well we only c@m£ to check out if our little plan was working and to what we saw outside, I think it is” she said confusing…
” What plan are you talking about?” I asked
“Why did you think we s£nt you and Archie to the same college and later to the same city” they said confusing me
” We are friends?” I said
” No, you know” she said smiling at me
” Jeez mum, why would you guys do that kind of stuff?” I asked
” Don’t take it ha-rd baby, or would you tell me you guys are not something regarding what I saw outside?” She said and I stared at Archie beside me
“Actually mum, I and Sam are seeing each other” he said dragging me closer to him..
” Really!!” His mum said happily
“Yes mother” he said k!ss!ngmy forehead
“Am so so glad” my mum said
“So when is the wedding?” They both asked in unison I almost choked ok my laughter Archie only chuckled..
“Very soon mum just calm down” Archie said

It’s my birthday today and my friends really helped in planning this p@rty, it was the best birthday p@rty I’ve ever witnessed since birth.
I met all my old college friends and even high school,all thanks to Samantha who helped in the invitation all around town..
“Wow, thanks Sam, I really love this” I said to Samantha beside me
“It’s nothing best, what more do you not deserve? You deserve anything special and nice, and that’s just why I did this for you. This is always what you wanted from your childhood. To celebr@te your birthday with all your friends, but it never happened because of your Dad of then. But now everything changed overnight, you’re now a free woman” she said and I chuckled happily
” Awwn…. You’re just so sweet” I said embr@cing her to a hvg and she chuckled. Suddenly, we heard someone clearing his throat, we looked around and noticed it was Tristan, jeez I thought he was never gonna come since he was busy…
“Wow, you c@m£” I said happily
“Why not baby, I wouldn’t miss my girlfriend’s birthday p@rty for anything” he said and I blu-shed…
Well Tristan and I are now d@t!ng. I feel more like a normal person, then what I was before

I looked at him with a questioning look and he smiled at me.
“Open it” he said
“But why, am not to open pres£nts now” I said and he chuckled
“Let’s break the rules” he said and I unR@p£d the box. I opened it to see another little R@p£d box in it I took it and unR@p£d it. I was surprised to see a purple glittering ring box so I stared at him inquisitively.
“Open it” he said giving me an as-suring smile. I slowly opened it and my heart skipped a beat at what I saw, it was a cute diamond ring.
I stared at him and he took the ring from it….
“When I said I don’t want us d@t!nganymore, I said that because I want you to be my fianceé, so we could be one soon….” He said and I stared at him not knowing what to say, I was freaking scared some minutes ago….
“I know our first marriage was just about the certificate and business cause we never loved each other. It was never what you wished for and you never felt happy, that’s why I want to give you the happiness I know I’m capable of giving to you. Especially when you gave to me the happiness I never thought I would have, I was actually seeing myself as a single man till I die. But you turned it all around for me” he said and I smiled though tears were in my eyes alre-ady.
” Tiana” he called going down on one of his knees
“Would you marry me??” He asked
