💞 Tristan 💞
“Dad would you tell me or not?” I asked
“What’s your deal son, I said am not into anything shady would I be lying to you? ” He said only ma-king me more suspicious
” But Dad I never asked you if you were into anything shady, did I? ” I said in sarcasm
” I know son, but you asking me this question for more than a month now, only means you are suspecting me to be a criminal, I can never do anything crime related, trust me son” he said
” But Dad you just involved yourself into cyber crime a week ago. Why do you even think I would believe what you are saying? Am not a kid dad, am wiser than what you think” I said and he stood up from his seat
” What do you mean? ” He asked coming closer
” Nothing. Am just warning you to take caution on whatever you do. Cause there is a saying that says ‘what goes around comes around’. You may think you won’t be apprehended for what ever you do because of your status. But I want to remind you dad, the law is no respecter of person” I said and he looked at me in a way I couldn’t describe
” Son, I still don’t un-derstand, why are you saying all this? ” He asked
” I’ve told you Dad, it’s nothing, nothing okay” I said
” But…
“Look Dad, I don’t know whatever you are into Dad, but it’s left for you to think properly and know the right thing to do” I said walking out….
The truth is that, I don’t know what my Dad is into, but his character alone is enough to suspect something really fishy….

I walked into the sitting room only to see Tiana sitting on the couch, staring at the TV , which wasn’t even on….
I guess this is the right time to talk to her….
I walked to the couch and sat on it, but she didn’t even look at me or acted like I was close to her or even in the house….
I finally cleared my throat deciding to talk, even though she refused to look at me.
“Tiana am sorry for what you saw down here between I and Alicia” I said but she didn’t give a reply or even to glance at me.
“Tiana” I called after some while but she still didn’t answer…
I was preparing to leave when she finally spoke up
“Is that all you have to say?” She asked but I didn’t answer and she finally turned to me
” You know what Tristan, it’s none of my business you know that, you were the one who said we could both do anything with our lives, so there is no nee-d for your apology” she said
” No Tiana, I have to apologise, I feel guilty doing that to you, am sorry, plea-se forgive me and let’s go back to how we were before.” I said and a tear fell from her eye..
” I know what you saw might change your thinking about I and Alicia, but I swear Tiana, that was a deadly mistake, do you even think I would go back to that same girl even if I decided to involve myself in a relationsh!p? plea-se Tiana, forgive me, okay” I said and more tears flowed from her eyes
I moved closer and embr@ced her in a hvg
“It’s no problem Tristan, I forgive you” she said after we dis£ngaged from the hvg.
I used my thumb to wipe the tears on her face and she smiled…
What a lovely creature…

“Tell me Fernando, do you know anything about this criminals?” Archie asked for the third time…
I now live in Archie’s house, cause that’s the only way I can be saved now..
“Why are you even asking?” I asked after some moment
“Cause, if they are after you,they should also be after me, this only confirms you know a lot about them” he said..
Hmm, this guy is kinda good in investigating..
“Fine Archie, I would tell you, but it’s just because I trust you” I said and he nodded
” I know the criminal” I said and his eyes wi-de-ned..
” You do??” He asked looking confused..
“Yes” I replied
“Jeez!!, Then why didn’t you tell me since we started working together, we could have made a lot of progress” he said but he doesn’t know I have my reasons…
” Dude, you won’t believe me if I told you, and I have no single evidence against that man” I said and he looked at me intensely
” I trust you Fernando, I got a feeling I should, so tell me the name of this man” he said
” Mr Trevor”I said and he looked at me like I was lying or something
” which Mr Trevor are you talking about?” He asked
“The same Mr Trevor, the owner of all those companies, one of the country’s most influential man” I said and he stared at me with doubt in his face
” Wait do you mean James Trevor?” He asked and I nodded
” Tristan’s father” he asked again
“Yes” I said
“What??!! Are you kidding me” he said and I let out an angry laughter
” You see, I told you. You won’t believe me. Nob©dy would” I said
” No Fernando, it’s not that I don’t believe you, am just surprised. plea-se can you tell me how you know” he said and I told him everything I know including the murder p@rt..
I told him how I worked for Mr Trevor and how he is now after my life cause he’s scared I might expo-se him, all his shady conversation I had overhead ….
“Jeez!! This is going to be a ha-rd nut for us to crack, we got no single evidence against him” he said
” Exactly, we are dealing with skilled criminals here, one which no one can ever suspect” I said
” Hmm, we really have lots of work to do” he said
” You’re right, we do have a lot of work to do here” I replied….
” For now you just have to stay put here, don’t tell anyone you’re here, not even your sister” he said
” I know, I destroyed my sim Immediately I discovered they were after me, I didn’t even come here with my car, so they can’t track me anywhere, but I really nee-d to call my sister at least to tell her smile safe and also to make sure she’s safe” I said and he nodded
” You can use my phone for that” he said
“Thank you Archie for all you’re doing for me” I said and he smiled
” It’s no problem” he replied

” Common Sam, are you happy the way we are?… I suppose to be the one giving you attitude but you turned it all around to me” Archie said angering me up again
” Ohhh, so now you wanna blame me for admitting my feelings for you, Hun?” I said
” No Sam, don’t think it that way, am just fed up of your attitude towards me, it’s ma-king me really sad” he said and I smiled
” Am not even angry with you” I said hitting his back and he stared at me weirdly
“Oh jeez!!!” He exclaimed
“Yes of course, I was just pla-ying a prank” I said and he scoffed ma-king me laugh
” That’s just to expensive Sam” he said
“I know, sorry, but I was angry at first, the way you walked out of me the first time got me really scared and angry” I said sincerely
” Am sorry Sam, I was just acting up” he said and I smiled nodding
” Guess what Sam” he said
“What?” I asked
“I said guess” he stressed
“You found your missing shoe” I said and he hit his forehead frustrated
“Not that, although I found it yesterday” he said and I chuckled
” We have the criminal’s name” he said
“Really, that’s great news” I replied
” Not really Sam, we got no single evidence against the criminal, it’s really gonna be a ha-rd nut for us” he said and I stood going to stand beside him
” You shouldn’t say that, I’ve told you several times, you can handle this” I said and he smiled looking directly into my eyes…..
” I love you”he said
“I know that best” I replied smiling
“No Samantha, I love you, I’ve discovered that. All throu-gh the time I’ve discovered the feelings I had for you was love but I couldn’t admit because of our friendsh!p, you confessing those words only made me bold to say this to you” he said and I chuckled
” I’m not joking Sam, I mean my every words, I love you” he said and I smiled
” Love you too Archie” I replied and he placed hisl-ips on mine

I was in my office when some of group of guys walked into my office…
They were all on casual wear except for a guy on the NBI uniform, who looked like their leader …
“Good day Mr Trevor, am Archie Smith from the NBI office” the guy on uniform said showing me his ID card
I tried to act calm, cause they can’t arrest me, they have no evidence or record of all my transaction
“How may I help you?” I asked
“Am sorry sir, but you have to come with us to our office for questioning” the uniform guy said
” For??” I asked
” It’s strictly confidential Sir, but you’ll know in our office” he said
Hmm, I have to pl@yalong do they won’t suspect anything, I won’t argue…
“That’s fine let’s go” I said standing up taking the less why they walked behind me
They don’t know who they are dealing with, am always one step ahead

🌲 Archie’s pov🌲
We brou-ght Mr Trevor to our office to question him about the case but it seems this man is skillful than I thought…
He literally answered all our questions without any trace of fear in his voice..
We ended up dismissing him and also apologizing for inconveniencing him……..
All my colleague are now insinuating how innocent he is, but I still have a doubt, I believe what Fernando told me about him.
A normal human being can’t just tell lies on an important case like this one….
It’s a delicate one and now am really loosing hope of winning this case, that man is really influential. No one would even be re-ady to speak against him. The worst p@rt of it, is the fact that he is even involved in murder….
The only person I know has the boldness to file a case and testify against him is Fernando. But the painful p@rt is that we have no evidence. No footages or record of his criminal transaction….
Jeez!!, This is really ha-rd for me…
Some minutes after we were sure Mr Trevor left, Fernando c@m£ in looking quite defeated…
“Am starting to loose hope in taking down Mr Trevor” he said leaning on the chair opposite me
“Me too” I replied and he sighed
“But I have an idea, why don’t we use….”
” Use someb©dy to get to them, pretending to be one of them???, That wouldn’t work Archie, those people are alert especially in moments like this when they know we are alre-ady suspecting them. For now, they would definitely trust nob©dy” he cut in
” Well something like that, but am thinking of using someb©dy close to him, someone he trust” I said and he chuckled
” His son?? ” He asked sarcastically
“No!!, Your sister” I said and he stood up immediately
” What??, You can’t put my sister into this leave her out of this ” he said in anger and I stood up with him..
” Listen Fernando, you told me the clos£ness between them, she’s our only clue to getting those criminals, she wouldn’t be hurt in the process, I promise” I said and he sighed
” What makes you think he wouldn’t be after my sister as replacement for me” he said
” I as-sure you Fernando, nothing is gonna happen to Alicia, and this is the only way that man would pay for his crimes against you and many others” I said and he sighed
” Fine, what’s your plan? ” He asked
” We’ll talk to Alicia , convenience her to help us, she could go to Mr Trevor and pretend she’s against you, that will make him trust her more. We could put a record device on her, so any conversation they have would come right to us, am sure that’s gonna be enough evidence” I said and he nodded taking his seat I followed suit…
“How do you even think Alicia would suc¢v-mb, she’s really stubborn” he replied
” She’s your sister, she’s definitely gonna be for you not them, especially now that your live is involved” I said and he finally agreed
” I just hope nothing would happen to her, I can’t bear that” he said and I couldn’t give him a reply on that

I really don’t know what’s going on, some days ago everything was well going for dad and Edward, now it just turned all around…
Edward told me millions are missing from all the companies except the one Tristan and I is handling, I wonder why.
Now mum outlet just got robbe-d of most of their goods and money, and mum just can’t st©p crying about it, I wonder what’s really going on…
Jeez!! This is too ha-rd for me to take, I nee-d to tell Tristan, so we could ti-ght£ñ up.
I was pacing around the living room upstairs when Nelson c@m£ by. He’s just the person I nee-d to talk to now.
“What’s wrong Tiaana” he asked coming closer to me
“I..I..I don’t un-derstand” I shuttered
“You don’t look okay, come sit here let’s talk” he said dragging me to sit beside him..
” Okay now, breath in, and then talk to me” he said and I did just that
“I don’t un-derstand Tristan, all my dad’s company is falling ap@rt and we really don’t know what’s going on. I thought it was all over, but it was like those behind it then only want to hurt my family, cause last night my mum outlet was robbe-d, what has never happened before. It’s just so disheartening that all this is happening at the same time. And it just seems that people are after the downfall of my family”I said sadly
” Am scared our company might be the next” I said and he looked at me in a way I couldn’t describe
” Nothing would happen Tiana, everything would be alright okay” he said but I wasn’t convinced.

Oh no dad’s is at work again. And the worst p@rt now is that Tiana isn’t taking it really well. This is really weighing her down and I don’t want anything to hurt her especially dad.
I know all what’s is going on is dad’s doing. I thought he changed his mind about his revenge plans after I talked to him the last time we met… But this only proved my thoughts wrong..
He’s the one behind all This, what’s dad turning into???
“My mum isn’t even taking this the good way, am afraid she might fall sick or something” she said
The fact that she’s sad really angered me a lot
“Don’t worry Tiana, it’s gonna be over” I said
“You talk with so much confidence, how wish I was confident like you ” she said looking quite fed up
” You don’t have to think Tiana, it’s not healthy, you’re still young okay. Stay strong for your mum, hun” I said and she leaned her head on my shoulder
” I will” she replied
Dad has really crossed the line, he’s taking things too far, and I really don’t want anything to affect Tiana emotionally, I’ve said it before. She has suffered enough ill treatment from her dad and doesn’t deserve to feel this kind of pain, she’s too innocent for it, and I’ll make sure she’s safe with me, I wouldn’t let dad hurt her..
Am sure wherever mum is, she would be in support of my decision and would definitely be against dad..
Am scared for my father..

“You must be really out of your mind Fernando, I’ve been searching for you, for three weeks. Now that I’ve finally seen you, you’re telling me stupid stuff” I said and he gro-an ed angrily
“stupid stuff?? Alicia for once, why don’t you just do the right thing, those guys are criminals and deserve to rot in jail, you nee-d to help in this, he murderer our parents. I Know you’re right that whatsoever I do won’t bring Mum or Dad back to live. But our conscience would be held guilty, you don’t Know how much people he has killed or how many he’s planning to kill. Do this for me Alicia” he said holding my hands .
I felt quite convinced by what he just said, he’s saying the truth. Mr Trevor deserves jail…
“It’s okay Fernando I’ll do it” I said and he gave out a smile..
“What about you?? How are you sure they’re not still after you?” I asked and he sighed
” One might not know Alicia, that’s why am staying here, promise you wouldn’t tell anyone about my where about” he said
” I promise Fernando, we are into this together, we would bring down Mr Trevor, together” I said and he smiled hvgging me, I hvgged him back
“Now take this ear ring and hair pin, you’ll wear it” he said and I took it from him
” What does it do?” I asked
” Whatever conversation you make with Mr Trevor, it records, both audio and visual.” He said
” But won’t they know?” I asked
” They would never know except you tell them your self” he said and I was quite relieved
” Okay brother, am going now, wish me luck” I said taking my bag
” Good luck Alicia, stay safe” he said
“I’ll,bye” I replied
I boarded a cab to Mr Trevor office, I nee-d to start now, the earlier the better

“Whoaaa!!” I exclaimed and they dropped the gun as soon as Mr Trevor notified them to..
I just hope the device captured it, that the hell are they doing.
