Chapter Twenty Six
“I’m here”.Lis announced as she stepped into the hall
“Okay.What about Adrian,didn’t he follow you?”.Raven asked
“No.He’s kinda busy”.
“Okay.Let’s start”.Raven said
“Hello girls”.They both heard a voice and looked up to see the Dean
“Father”.Raven called
“Dean”.Lis said
“Good morning Sir”.Lis greeted
“Morning Melissa.How have you been doing?”.He asked
“I’ve been doing great Sir”.Lis replied
“I hope you like Empire Falls?”.The Dean asked
“Yes sir.I do not only like it but I love it”.Lis said with a smile on her face and the Dean chuckled
“That’s good to hear”.He said
“So why are you hear father?”.Raven asked walking up to them
“We have a visitor”.He replied
“Oh,you nee-d me right?”.She asked and he nodded
“Oh,okay.I’ll see you later Mel.I’ve gotta go now.Sorry”.Raven said
“It’s no big deal.You can go.I’ll train on my own”.Lis said and Raven smiled to her before leaving with her father
Lis sighed as she sat on a chair
A boring weekend it is gonna be
“Thinking about me?”.Adrian asked suddenly appearing in front of Lis and she held her che-st in fright
“Goodness.You scared me”.Lis said hitting his arm and he sat beside her
“Ooh.I’m so sorry.I didn’t mean to”.Adrian said faking a concerned face
“Stop it”.Lis said and he sat straight
“Where’s Raven?”.He asked
“With her dad.They have a visitor so she had to go”.Lis said
“So you are alone now?”.He asked
“Yeah”.She sighed
“Do you wanna play with me?”.He asked and Lis looked at him
“Do you even know how to play?”.Lis asked
“Ouch.That’s rude.What do you take me for?”.Adrian asked
“Okay.Prove it to me that you know how to play”
“Let’s fly”.He said
“Now?”.Lis asked
“Yeah,now.You said I should prove it to you”.
“Okay.If you say so.Let’s fly”.Lis said and they both stood up

Raven and the Dean stepped into the Dean’s office and there was a man waiting for them
“Who is he father?”Raven asked her father as they both sat down
“Mr Rollins Hunt”.The Dean replied
“Why is he here?”Raven asked
“Because of you”.The Dean replied
“Because of me?,why?”.Raven asked
“I’ve noticed lately that you’ve changed a bit.You don’t get angry easily,you do handle your powers properly now.You haven’t been having sleepless nights lately.Something is changing you and we want to know that thing.That’s why I called Mr Rollins”.The Dean stated
“Father,you don’t nee-d to do that.The only thing changing me or should I say person changing me is Mel”.Raven said
“Melissa?”.The Dean asked
“Yes.She has a great impact on me.She is the one who changed me.I don’t know how and when but all I know is that she us the one who changed me.You didn’t nee-d to have brou-ght someone to check me”.Raven said
“I get your point but let’s confirm it”.The Dean said
“Okay”.Raven said
“You can start Mr Rollins”.The Dean said and Mr Rollins nodded his head before he began his thing

‘Woo hoo!!!!”.Lis shouted as she flew around with Adrian,who was holding her hand to support her
“I love this!!!”.She shouted in excitement and Adrian looked at her with a smile plastered on his face
He’s really happy that he’s making his girlfriend happy
“Should we stop for now?”.Adrian shouted
“Okay”.Lis shouted and they both landed on the roof of Empire Falls building
“The view is spectacular”.Lis complemented and Adrian held her hands turning her to face him
“What’s the matter?”.Lis asked
“Promise me you will stay beside me till the end”.Adrian said
“I promise”.Lis said and Adrian pulled her into a hu-g
“You’re scaring me Adrian.What’s wrong?”.Lis asked and he moved away from her
“You don’t have to.We have each other”.Adrian said
“I know”.Lis said and smiled which made Adrian smiled
“Your eyes are pretty”.Adrian complemented and Lis was about to say a thank you when he placed his hand on her cheeks and pec-ked her eyes
“So as your nose”.He said and pec-ked her nose
“And your cheeks”.He said pecking both cheeks and stared at her eyes
“So as your li-ps”.He said as he brou-ght his head closer to Lis and Lis closed her eyes expecting his pink or should we say red li-ps on hers
Adrian stared at Lis for some moment and smiled to himself
“I love you Lisa”.He said and before Lis could reply him,he placed his li-ps on her’s and they ki-ssed
The moment he has been waiting for
He hu-gged her to himself ti-ghtly as if he was going to lose her if he didn’t hu-g her as they ki-ssed

Chapter Twenty Seven
“Hey,I’ve been looking for you everywhere.Where did you go?”Raven asked Lis and Adrian as the walked towards the hall
“Sorry.Adrian took me somewhere.We went flying.I was kinda bored so he helped me kill the boredom”.Lis replied
“Aww,that’s so sweet of you Adrian”.Raven cooed
“It’s nothing.Anything for my girlfriend”Adrian said pulling Lis closer to himself
“Too bad I don’t have mine”.Raven said with a sad tone and Lis walked up to her
“No,no.You don’t nee-d to be sad.You’re gonna find yours soon.But first thing,you nee-d to change your look” Lis said pointing to her body
“Change my look?,do I look bad?”Raven asked and Adrian and Lis nodded their head
“You don’t really look attra-cting,especially to guys”.Adrian said
“How do you know that?”.Raven asked
“Welll..”.Adrian said
“Look at yourself.You are putting on black all throu-gh.A black top,a black pa-nt,a black sandal,your hair is even black.Like seriously.What’s with you and black?”.Lis asked and Raven smiled nervously
“I don’t know”.She replied
“Let’s first change your look then we’ll know the next step later.Let’s go to your dorm”.Lis said and they all teleported to her dorm
Lis walked up to her wardrobe,opened it and stared at it in shock
“You only have clothes of colour black,red and purple?”.Lis asked turning to Raven
“Is that bad?”.Raven asked
“Really bad.Come on.You are gonna wear my clothes”.Lis said and dragged Raven out of her dorm

“I don’t feel comfortable in this”.Raven said referring to the blue Empire wai-st dress she’s putting on
“Come on Raven.You look great”.Lis complemented
“Thanks but,no this is not who I am.I kinda hate this”.Raven said turning the dress into a normal black top and pa-nt
“Well.I tried”.Lis said
“I know and thanks so much”.Raven said when the heard the alarm bell
“What’s going on?”.Lis asked Raven when Adrian barged into the room
“An intruder has entered the school.The Dean said we should all move to the hall immediately”.Adrian said
“Oh,okay.let’s go”.Raven said and they ran out of the dorm
Raven heard a sound behind her and she turned to see some men at their back
“Mel,Adrian”.Raven shouted and they both stopped and turned
“Who are you people?”.Raven asked
“You don’t nee-d to know.You guys should come with us gently or we’ll be for-ced to harm you”.A man said
“Let’s see how that goes”.Raven said and she was about to move when all of them suddenly collap-sed and the men carried them on their shoulders

Chapter Twenty Eight
Raven,Lis and Adrian are seen in a room,tied to a
chair,unconscious
“Lisa,Lisa”.Raven whispered nudging Lisa and
she opened her eyes
“Where are we?”.Lis asked and Raven shushed
her
“Don’t shout”.Raven said as Adrian opened his
eyes.Hus eyes roamed aeound tue room until it
fell on Lis and Raven
“Lis,Raven”.Adrian called
“Shh”.They both shushed him
“Sorry”.He whispered
“Are you guys okay?”.He asked Lis and Raven
and they both nodded their head
“Do you know this place Raven?”.Adrian asked
Raven
“No but I’m sure the people who brou-ght us here
will be very familiar with this school”.Raven said
“I think I’ve seen this place before.In Empire
Falls book.A man was killed here and all
students were banned from coming here”.Lis
said and Adrian and Raven stared at her in a
confused way
“Don’t you guys know about it?”.Lis asked
“Nope”.Adrian said
“Absolutely not”.Raven said
“Don’t you guys read Empire Falls boo”.Lis asked
“Nope”.Adrian said
“Absolutely not”.Raven said
“It’s kinda boring.Thank God we have you in our
team.You’ll be giving us information about the
book”.Raven said
“Yeah”.Adrian said
“But the question is why the hell did they bring
us here?”.Adrian asked when the door creaked
and they all turned their gaze to the door to see
who kidnapped them
A man first came in and other men,three men
followed him
Lis recognize the man and she gasped in shock
“Surprised to see me.Daughter?”.The man asked
looking at Lis and Adrian and Raven stared at
her
It was the man she saw in the book.Who was
dead
“Daughter?”.Raven and Adrian asked together
“Do you know him Lisa?”.Adrian asked
“No.Look Sir.Maybe you are mistaken.I’m not
your daughter.Please spare us”.Lis said
“I can’t harm my daughter”.The man said and
signalled him men to rele-ase them and they all
stood up,holding their wrist and mas-saging it
“I’m not your daughter Sir and I thought you were
dead”.Lis said
“What are you talking about Lisa?”.Adrian asked
in a confused tone
“He’s the man I told you guys about.That I saw
in Empire Falls book”.Lis said
“Which is your father”.The man said
“You are not my father.I do have my father and
he is in the human world”.Lis half yelled in
frustration
“Jake Hudges?”.The man said and Lis heart
skipped a bit
“How do you know my father’s name?”.Lis asked
“Jake is or should I say was my friend.In fact,we
used to be best of friends.We both attended
Empire Falls like you guys.We do things together
that people do think we are brothers.Some even
thought we were twins because we were really
close until a day that he betrayed me.I got
married to your mom,your really mom,who is
dead now.She had you in this school with your
twin sister”.The man said
“Wait,I do have a twin?”.Lis asked
“Yes.Jake was a kind of person that if he does
like something.He’s has to have it to himself by
all means.He also loved your mother but your
mother didn’t love him.He found out he can
never get your mother’s love,so he got his
revenge by kidnapping you and your twin.He hid
in the human world,sent people to kill me but
luck was on my side.I was able to escape the
accident and tried searching for him but i
couldn’t find him.So I gave up searching for him
and began searching for you when I heard you
are attending Empire Falls and here you are,in
front of me”.The man said
“I don’t believe you.You’re lieing?”.Lis shouted
wanting not to believe what her so called father
said and afraid that all what he said is true
“I know you wouldn’t believe me but as times
goes on.You will see me as your father.Here’s
the picture of your mother”.The man said
stretching his hand towards Lis direction and she
slapped it away from his hand
“Stay away from me”.She said with a shaky
voice as Adrian hu-gged her,patting her back
Raven bent to pick the picture when she got a
glimpse of the woman in the picture
“Mother?”.She called
