Episode 19
EMMA POV
The car drove for about an hour and then it st©pped in front of a building
“Where are we?”I asked the driver
“Just go in,THE BOSS will be waiting”He replied
“Is it Micheal”I asked
“Just go in”He said again and having no choice,I went in
A man was at the entrance,He walked me into the house and opened a door for me, Asking me to go into the room
At first I didn’t want to go but on hearing Micheal voice asking me to come in, I went in.
“Have a seat”He said pointing at the empty chair
“Do you really think that it’s a good idea”I asked
“Is it to sit? Why wouldnt sitting be a good idea?”He asked
“Don’t joke with me Micheal,You know what am talking about”
“I know and it’s the only thing we can do for now”He said
“By asking me to run away? How would that solve this issue on ground?”I asked
“Just shut up and st©p questioning me”He retorted
“I won’t shut up okay! I told you not to do any thing,At least until am married to him but you wouldn’t listen,Now every thing is falling right on your head”I yelled at him
“Nothing is falling on my head okay,I know what am doing”
“They are going to find out that am the spy,They will know soon and surely I would be punish or better yet we will be punish cause I won’t go down alone”I said
“Such mighty words”He said standing up
“You don’t have to worry Dora,You won’t be caught,After all you are not the spy he saw”He said
“What do you mean by am not the spy he saw?”I asked
“You are not the one he saw because you are not the spy,Your work there is different”He said
“And what is my work”
“To marry the prince and get all his money”He said
“If am not the spy then who is it”I asked starring at him
“I am”A voice said behind me and I turned only to see her there.
“Surprised?”Nina asked as she walked towards me
“You really surprise her,Have never known her to be speechless”Micheal said
“But…..but it can’t be? Nina can’t be a spy”I said
“She is a spy and she is my spy”Micheal said walking towards the drink cabinet
“What will you like to drink Emma?”He asked using my real name
“Emma? Does she know that am Emma and not Dora”I asked
“Nina knows every thing about you, She has been my accomplice for a very long time “He answered
“I know that you and Micheal are both brother and sister”
“STEP brother and sister”I corrected
“What ever,All I know is that you both are siblings and that you have been asked to pretend to be Dora Baxter so you can marry Brian stone and get his fortune”
“He didn’t ask me! He threatened me” I corrected again and Micheal smiled
“But this can’t be,You told me you love Brian “I asked
“A lie!”She said smiling
“So every thing you told me was a lie?”I asked
“I wanted Nina to do every thing,I wanted her to be the one that married Brian and to take his money but Nina made some mistake and I knew that that mistake could cause us a lot and so I c@m£ for you And am sure you won’t fail me” Micheal answered
“You must also know that the real Dora is dead right?”I asked again
“I finished her off Myself”Nina Replied and i g@sped
“The bit-ch only mistake was in tou-ching me, She was still alive after the accident but I finished her off myself”Nina replied
“You really are evil just like him”I said
“Have lived a ha-rd life Dor…..or rather Emma, My mother had to suffer just to provide for me,I had to watch her clean and serve the royal family but in the end they only repayed her by firing her,Saying she was too old to cope again”
“But it’s still not a reason to result to this Nina”
“You don’t have to lecture me,I know what I signed up for when I decided to do this,Have been in this for a very long time and I get a lot of money from it Am not willing to throw it away because I feel guilty about killing some one or some thing”
“Very well said my dear,You are the best Nina”Micheal said applauding her
“She at least knows what she wants unlike you”
“Killing and stealing some one identity is not some thing I want”I yelled at him
“You have no choice my dear,You are in this for good,So st©p fussing and enjoy,Think about all the things you will have once we have finally get rid of Brian,Start using your head just like Nina,Stay here until things die down at the palace,I nee-d to finish some thing “He said and left the both of us alone.
We didn’t talk to each other for a while,I didn’t know what to say or how to behave with Nina,it really surprised me to know that Nina was p@rt of Micheal scheme.
I watched her walk towards the door and then she opened and looked around before closing it again
“I know what you must be thinking of me now”She said as she walked towards me
“How could you? You didn’t love him yet you made him believe that you do”I yelled at her angrily
“Look it’s a bit complicated,I do love Brian,I love him a lot,Remember Micheal mentioning a mistake I did? The mistake I committed was falling in love with the enemy”She said
“Liar! “I said
“I had agreed to help Micheal long before I met Brian, I was so devoted in the task of s£dûç!ng Brian that I fell for him and he also fell me too”
“But when Micheal found out,He threatened to kill my mom ,. I had told him then to stay away from me but Brian kept on coming back,Then Dora Baxter c@m£ into the scene and every thing changed, Fortunately for us the witch had to have the same face as you, That was when you were brou-ght in to the scene Emma”She said
“I…….”
“plea-se let me finish”she said quic-kly interrupting me
“I had thought that He would fall for Dora,Since she is beautiful, rich and he nee-ded her for that important merger, I lost all hope,One p@rt of me wanted to continue with our relationsh!pbut Knowing what Micheal can do,I had to keep away and then you showed up and decided to help us,I felt so happy and alive once again ”
“I only said that because I thought you are a good person but it turns out that you are working with Micheal”
“I only agreed to work for him because of the money and when I fell for Brian ruining Micheal plans,He threatened me with killing my mom,I had to continue doing it”
“And do you know that one of Micheal goal is to kill the man you love So much!”I asked
“I know! I would have saved him from each danger but you were always there before me”She said
“That is because I hate death,Having the real Dora baxter death on my shoulders is enough alre-ady,I don’t want to have some one else death weigh on my conscience”I replied fiercely
“I can’t say that for myself because I had to finish the real Dora Baxter off but I won’t let Brian get hurt,I won’t”She said
“I still don’t believe that you sincerely love him,If you are working with Micheal,You are only conniving to harm him”I said
“That was before but ever since you showed up,Micheal only talks to you about the plan but never with me and so am begging you,plea-se Emma keep on protecting him,I beg you”She said holding my hand
“What about the deal I made with him?”I asked
“What deal?”
Before saying it,I went towards the door and opened it,Doing the same thing she did a while ago and when there was no one, I c@m£ back in
“Brian and I made a deal, I still pretend and act along as his bride to be but on the day of the wedding the bride changes and that bride would be you”
“Me! You weren’t going to marry Brian but instead you are going to help me marry him”She asked
“That was some thing we planned before but now knowing who you really are and what you are capable of ,I think it would be a very bad idea”I said and quic-kly she walked towards me holding my hand
“plea-se Emma don’t st©p the deal,One thing have wanted out of this terrible plan of Micheal is to be with the man I love and now that you are willing to give me that chance,plea-se don’t take it from me ” She beg earnestly
“You really do love Brian right?”I asked
“A lot,He has been nothing but a kind and loving person towards me and that was why I kept on s£nding him away,For him not to get hurt but he kept on coming back”
“That is because he loves you”I replied
” I love him too,I love him so much that am willing to risk my life for him and so am begging you push throu-gh with your deal, Help us be together and I will help you get out of Micheal clutches”She said
“You really will do that?”I asked
“If you can help two lovers to be together why can’t I help you leave this terrible life”she replied
“I still don’t trust you Nina”
“You will have to trust me,If we both want to get out of this unharmed,You will have to trust me fully” she answered and as if on cue
The door opened and Micheal walked in giving the both of us a suspicious look
“Wow ,My two girls are alre-ady getting along”He said
“Don’t bet on that Micheal”I replied angrily
“St©p being so serious and loos£n up a bit, You two only have each other in that house and it will be best if you work together” He said
It was late in the evening that the car st©pped us in front of the estate.
While I walked in the front ,Nina followed behind me
I kept on thinking about every thing that happened today,I still can’t believe That Nina who looked so gentle and serene could also be p@rt of Micheal plans.
We got to the gate and as soon as we walked in
Micheal guards c@m£ out to obstruct us
“What’s going on?”I asked
“We have been searching for both you and the maid” Andrew answered
Just then Brian walked into our midst and judging from his expression,I could tell that he was very angry
“Where have the two of you been?”He asked
“I……..I went for a wal………”
“She is the ……..she is the one”A man yelled pointing at me or was it at Nina
He couldn’t get to do the pointing well enough because he was sh0t right in the head.
It all happened so fast,all we saw was the man lying on the floor while there was blood on the all over him
Seeing this, The guards immediately protect Brian and me leaving Nina to protect herself. But Brian didn’t do the same thing,He went to her and his guards had no option than to do the same
“Get lady Dora into safety”Andrew yelled pu-lling out his gun and running to where the gunsh0t c@m£ from along with six men
Was this the plan Micheal had,To kill the man ,I thought as I was led back to my room
I sat down feeling tired and restless,At least one thing c@m£ out right out of every thing,He wasn’t able to tell them the truth and its for the best,I thought grieving for the death of the poor man.
I had showered and changed,I was heading to the be-d when the door bur-st open and Brian walked in looking so very angry
“What’s wrong?”I asked feeling scared and worried, Did Brian knows some thing that I don’t……..
If so………..What can it be??.

EMMA POV
“What’s going on Brian?why are you here?”I asked starring at him
“Where did you go to when the search was being on?”He asked.
“I went for a walk,I told you right!”I repeated
“Are you sure that you truly went for a walk,?Andrew said he saw you getting into a car?”
“Oh That! that was my friend car,I had felt so locked up,So I called her to come take me out”I lied
“I really hope that you aren’t lying Dora cause I won’t ever forgive you if I find out that you have been lying to me”He said and left the room.
For a while I thought about what he said and crouched on the floor feeling so down and sad
Once he found out that I have been lying to him,He won’t ever forgive me !
No matter what I cant tell him,In a few days time,I will be leaving and he won’t be seeing me again,So it’s best that I keep my mouth sealed.
A week after that day we all got into a car which was taking us to our place of destination.
A lot has happened since the day Brian barged into my room and yelled at me ,Each time i remember our conversation,I wished i could have tel him the truth and am sure that though he might have gotten angry,He would have helped me leave but I can’t open my mouth.
If I do,He will find out that Nina,The girl whom he love is also a liar and she works with the enemy,Have even been working with him for a very long time.
While the car drove us,I stared at the two couples who were beside me
Its been a week now and no one have noticed any thing going on
The deal I had with Brian was still on, Have asked that Nina be my personal maid so she can accompany me on any appointment I might have and one of the appointment is today.
Brian and I are going to the church to reharse for the wedding and since it will be Nina that will be there on the day of the wedding,She nee-ds to be there to reharse with us
So far so good Micheal hasn’t planned any thing for Brian ,He hasn’t even called to ask me to do any thing,Seems like he is laying low after killing that man
Just remembering the way the man fell after being sh0t on the head gives me goose bu-mps.
If I had known that by killing the man is Micheal solution,I would have tried to st©p him.
I just hope that he hasn’t notice any thing odd going on between Brian,Nina and myself
If he gets to know about our plan,He will surely find a way to st©p it and I dont want that.
“St©p it Brian,We have some one here”Nina whispered at Brian who kept on k!ss!ngher cheeks
“And so! Its none of her business and this is the only time I can be with you,so let’s just enjoy it”He said and k!$$£d her right in front of me.
I looked away,Feeling quite strange,This is not the first time I would see them k!ssand so why am I feeling this way,I thought starring outside the window.
Ever since the day Brian c@m£ to my room,He has been acting strange.
He is never alone with me and if he is,Nina would always be around, Each time I catch him starring at me,His eyes was always filled with one of anger and hatred.
It had been that way in the past,When I never knew of Nina existence in his life
But when we made the deal,He was quite kind to me,He never stared at me in that way,I even thought when every thing was normal again,We could be friends but all that changed ever since the day he c@m£ to my room.
I wonder what he heard that made him change towards me,I thought
Well that is not my problem,Am only thankful that he is still keeping his word about the deal,I will leave this place soon and I will try to forget all this ever happened.
The car st©pped in front of the church and we got out of the car.
Brian acting as the doted fiance to me while Nina did her job as the maid
To others we might look like a couple,If only they knew that it was the other way around.
While Brian talked with the priest, I sat with Nina in the chapel.
Its been so long since have been in a church,I can’t even remember when last I prayed.
“I hate being here”Nina said suddenly and I stared at her
“Why?”
“It reminds me of my child hood”She said
“What happened during your child hood”I asked
“Some thing happened and I trusted him,I trusted him and hoped for a miracle”She said starring at the statue of Christ which had been placed on the altar
“But it didn’t happen right?”I asked
“It didn’t and that brou-ght me to the conclusion that He doesn’t exist,Do you guys really have to have the wedding in a church, Why not an outdoor wedding?”
“I know that am just a camouflage in all this and you will be the one really marrying Brian on that day but I can’t do a thing to st©p the wedding taking place in a church,Dora parents want it that way”I said
“Well it doesn’t matter where it will take place,I will be the one wedding the go-wn and walking on the aisle to meet my husband,Just thinking about it makes me feel triumphant”She said
“Why triumphant? I thought all bride to be always feel excited or happy”I said and saw her look a bit nervous
“Of course I do feel excited and happy, why would you think I don’t ” she replied and got up
“Excuse me for a bit,I nee-d to do some thing”She said and went off.
I don’t know why but I feel that some thing is off about Nina and I hope that what ever it is doesn’t affect me leaving this place for good.
I stood up and knelt In front of the altar,Nina might have given up on Christ but I haven’t,I know that some day I will get out of this.
I closed my eyes and prayed for my dad who was still in Micheal custody.
“Praying doesn’t suit you”Brian words broke the prayer and I turned to stare at him
“For the first time am seeing Dora Baxter pray! What are you even praying for?”He asked
“Its none of your business”I replied
“Are you perhaps wishing harm on some one,Cause I just can’t believe that you will be praying for some thing good”
“And what if I told you that I was indeed praying for some thing good”
“I won’t believe because I know you Dora and i know that you are so selfish,Tell me? How can a selfish person pray for some thing good”
“Get re-ady,The rehearsal is about to start”He added and he was about to leave when I pu-ll-ed him back
“What’s your problem with me Brian? Ever since that day,You have been acting like a j£rk towards me, What did I do?”I asked
“You dare to ask me that! Fine I would give you a hint on why am behaving this way,I hate liars and you are one of them, There is some thing you are keeping a secret and I hope that when I find out this secret of yours,It won’t be too late for you”He said and walk off
I stood shocked,Did he know the truth,Has Nina told him about my real identity.
BRIAN POV
“Now that the vows have been made,You can sl!pthe ring on her f!nger”The priest said and I did what he asked.
Though I keep on wishing that Nina would be the one standing here and not Dora
I don’t know why I kept shut about it,I should have just confronted her about it
Maybe I would have gotten some answers by now.
While sli-pping on the ring, I thought about the day the only witness I had was sh0t In the head.
I was in the office preparing the ritual arrangement for the dead man when Andrew walked in.
“Did you get hold of the shooter”I asked
“No we didn’t,Am sorry your Highness”He said bowing
“Damn! That man was the only witness,He was the only hope I had in catching the person who wanted me dead but now he is gone”I said angrily
“Not every thing is gone your Highness,I think there is some thing odd about this”Andrew told me
“What’s odd?”
“Lady Dora, She went missing when we were doing the search and if you noticed,Our witness was pointing at her before he was sh0t in the head and also she keeps on being there each time you are in danger,Don’t you find it odd?”Andrew suggested
I thought about it for a while and then I asked “Are you trying to say that Dora is the one who wants me dead”
“There is a possibility your Highness, These three points of ours certainly means some thing”
“We can’t jump to conclusion yet,Dora can be impulsive some time and she might look threatening too but she doesn’t have the courage to harm some one “I said
“Don’t be on her side your Highness, Lady Dora is some one we should suspect,She Might be the one who wants you dead”Andrew said
“To be honest I know that Dora have her own flaws but she wont want me dead”I said
“Any thing is possible your Highness,have worked in the security dep@rtment for a long time and I know that Lady Baxter has a secret she is keeping”
“A secret,If so we have to find out”I added………………..
Its been ha-rd though,It’s been a week now and we have found nothing on her,I thought as I stick the ring on her f!nger and stared at
I for one know that if it turn out to be true that she has been the one who has been planning the attack, Then I will make sure she pay dearly and to heck with the Merger.
DORA POV
As soon as the rehearsal was over,I took Nina to the balcony and when I was sure that no one was around us,I began to talk
“The prince knows that am lying”I said
“Lying? But how?”
“I don’t know,I don’t know how he found out or who told him but he suspects me”
“What should we do about this! Should we call THE BOSS”she asked
“No,If he should find out about this,He will be so furious and would do some thing to hurt Brian “I said
“You are right! What can be done,Brian must never find out the truth”
“And he won’t,I certainly won’t let him”I said
“Try talking to him,See what you can get out of him and i…… I will do some searching of my own too”I said
“Search about what exactly? “Some one asked behind us.
