“Dora,I just asked you a question?” Brian said still waiting for an explanation
“About the bomb,I…..I over head some one saying that it had been placed in your car”I quic-kly made one
“Who? How did the person look like? Can you tell me the full detail of what you heard”He asked
“I…..I didn’t really see the person and I don’t know who he is,I didn’t wait to listen to the rest of the conversation because I was trying to get a hold of you”I replied
“But still you would have seen and heard something,All I nee-d is a clue.”
“I….I…. I”
“St©p questioning her Brian,She just woke up after three days,She nee-ds her rest and besides you have reported the incident to the cops,Let them deal with the rest”Nina said
“The cops!The cops knows about this?”I asked
“It is an attem-pted murder,The cops will be involved in it,After all am the prince and now my life is in danger” he said
I know right! And am involve in it, I thought still starring at him.
“Why don’t we just change the t©pic”I said starring at the both of them.
“What’s there to talk about,You were almost killed”Brian said still starring out of the window.
Why do I feel that Brian is worried about me ? I thought as I stared at him
“Don’t be a kill joy Brian, She is not feeling well and we are suppose to cheer her up”Nina said
“You do the cheering,I have important things to do”He said and began to head out
“Make sure you get well Dora,Our deal is still on and you nee-d to fulfil it”He told me before leaving the room.
So that was why he had been worried? Because of the deal we made,For a while I thought he was worried about me but he was only worried about his Deal.
“So tell me,How are the two of you doing?”I asked
“Very well,Though we have been hiding it but for the past three days,You have been Brian t©p concern”Nina said
“Me?”
“Yes,He was worried,Have never seen him that way before,If I didn’t know that he loved me I would have thought that it was you he loved”She said
“Me? Love! That’s absurd,What we both feel for each other is pure dislike,The only thing linking us is this deal we both made”I said
“And what would that deal be?”She asked
“Its a secret between the both of us,Why not tell me what I missed for past three days”I asked and she gave me a smile,Willing to oblige me.
A WEEK LATER.
I sat on the be-d at the hospital starring at the flowers which had taken up the whole room
After the bombing incident, I had turn to some kind of heroine
I was the talk of the town,People were praising me for saving them from the bomb explosion
I never knew that my st©pping a bomb will turn me into an heroine over night and ever since the media knew that I had woken up,I was s£nt flowers by a lot of people.
The police had made it their responsibility to find the culprit,Some how I wanted them to know that it was Micheal and lock him up but after thinking about my situation,I knew that Micheal can not be locked up cause he would bring me down with him,After all I did every thing he asked me to do.
The door opened suddenly and Micheal walked in,On seeing him I got scared.
After the accident,He hadn’t come to see me,I had been expecting him a little earlier but when he didn’t show up I thought I was save for a while
But Seeing him now Got me feeling scared,I had disobeyed him and I had helped Brian,I wonder what he plans to do to me
“Relax,I only c@m£ here to say hello”He said giving me a smile
“Your dearest Brian has placed some guards by the door,I wouldn’t do anything to you,So just relax”He said again and walked around the room tou-ching the flowers
“Over night you have changed from being the over bearing spoilt kid to a heroine”
“Micheal I…….”
“He would have been dead by now,We would have been preparing for his funeral but you! You had to meddle”He said this time looking so furious
“Micheal I…..”
“Just shut up,You ruined things and am so very angry,If you weren’t in the hospital,I would have done some thing bad to you”
I shrinked into my be-d while he c@m£ close to me
“Tell me why? Why the hell did you interfere”He asked
“Believe it or not,I did it for your good”I replied
“Don’t mess with me right now!”He yelled
“Am not messing with you Micheal,I saved Brian only to protect you”I replied
“Protect me?”
“Yes,I did it to protect you,If the bomb had killed Brian,The cops and his parents would never st©p until they find the culprit and a bombing case is some thing the cops investigates and get the evidence they nee-d as fast as they can”
“They would link it to you and they will arrest you,I didn’t want that happening to you,Not because I care for you but because you have my father in your custody and did you even think about the others at the p@rty,There were kids and a lot of people,If they had all died from the explosion,You will be found and killed”I said and angrily he grasped my n£¢k
“You bit-ch! If I go down, You go with me, I might have failed in killing Brian this time but next time,He won’t miss death and if you mess up my plan again,I will not only kill your father,I will also kill you too”He said still holding my n£¢k.
The door opened and immediately he let go of me
“What’s going on”Brian said as he walked in starring at the both of us
Micheal had put a smile on his face,Acting like nothing ever happened,While I was trying to compose myself.
I was sure that Brian noticed my discomfort.
Brian will surely want to know why Micheal was in my room
“Why are you here?”He asked starring at Micheal who was starring at him in anger too
“I just c@m£ to say hello”He replied
“And since when did you two know each other”Brian asked starring at us
I was still thinking of an answer when Micheal beat me to it
“At the p@rty,Natasha introduced us,Seems like she likes your bride to be”
Brian stared at me,Still not convinced about what Micheal told him
“You’ve greeted her,Now you can leave”He said and Micheal at first stood his ground,Not wanting to take orders from the man he hates.
But having no choice,He made his fare well and left the room.
“Are you really okay?”Brian asked
“Yes,Am fine”I said tou-ching my throat
“Just a warning from me,Micheal is a guy who should not be trusted,So stay away from him,I hope you can do that” He said
“He is Natasha husband and it would be rude if I just ignore him”
“If we want our deal to push throu-gh without any problem,You have got to stay away from Him,He is a devil in human clothing,Don’t be fooled”He said
The doctor and Dora parents c@m£ into the room interrupting our discussion
If only he knew that I alre-ady know what kind of man Micheal is,If only I can just open up to him and tell him to stay away from Micheal because he was planning to have him killed but I couldn’t.
I can’t tell him because of my father,It’s a good thing that Micheal didn’t suspect the deal I made with Brian.
As soon as am well enough,I will be leaving with my dad,Intent on forgetting everything that happened while I was pretending to be DORA BAXTER

EMMA POV
The doctor made it clear to me that I Still nee-ded to take care of my health and that for a while I will be using a crutches and then DORA parents went to fill out the re-lease form.
I was dressed by the one of the nurse and asked to wait for the wheel chair to be brou-ght in and during all this period,Brian never left the room
As soon as I was dressed,He began to stare at me and it was in a strange way ,Could it be that he was suspicious about me? Could he still be wondering why Micheal c@m£ to see me?
The only nurse in the room left leaving the both of us alone
I had to know what he was thinking and without delay,I asked him
“What’s wrong? You have been starring at me ? Did I do some thing wrong?”I asked
“No matter how I think about it,I still don’t know how you suddenly changed over night”He said
“Change? Oh! That”I said feeling relieved that he wasn’t thinking about Micheal visit.
“Everyone change once in a while”I replied cooly
“But this change in you is very drastic,Like you aren’t the Dora I knew before,Like you are some one else entirely”
“I…… I”I didn’t know what to say or what to reply him with
He walked towards me and bent down so that our eyes can be on the same level.
“Who are you really?”He asked so suddenly that I began to shake
Did he know? Did he know that am not the real Dora,I thought still starring at him
The door opened and who ever c@m£ in saved me from answering
“What’s going on?”on hearing Nina voice,He straightened up and stared at her
“Finally you are here”He said walking to her to give her a k!sswhich she returned
“I had to be here,After all am p@rt of the worker working for the royal family”She replied
“That! My dear would soon be remedied”Brian said starring at me.
A while later the nurse and Dora parents returned with the wheel chair.
“Does she really have to use it”Brian asked t
“Yes she has to”The nurse replied.
I was being helped Nina and the nurse to seat on the chair when Brian walked towards us
“Move”He said suddenly and before I knew what he was about to do,I was lifted into his arms
“You don’t have to carry me”I said starring at him
“I hate seeing people on wheel chair”He replied and began to walk out side with me in his arms
I held onto his shoulders for support and it was ha-rd not to breathe in his cologne,It smelt good and it’s the kind of perfume fit for a prince.
I didn’t know why but I prefer being in his arms than being on a wheel chair.
We got outside and I was shocked to see a lot of people standing outside just to greet me.
“They all c@m£ for you after all you are the country heroine”Brian said to me
I could only wave at them all,The guards surrounded us,ma-king sure that they don’t come close to us.
“Just one question your Highness,How do you feel knowing that you are marrying the country heroine”A reporter asked and I thought Brian wouldn’t answer him but he st©pped
“I certainly feel good,My wife to be saved a lot of lives,Am very proud of her and I would like to say a big thanks to every one who c@m£ here to see her.”He said and headed for the car which was waiting for us.
I was gently put in the car and he sat next to me,The others got into the other car and soon we were on the busy high way of London.
“Wow,You really nailed it with that speech of yours”I said starring at him
“Really?”
“Of course,I didn’t know what to say or how to react,Am now the talk of the town and that makes me nervous”
“Nervous? Dora Baxter nervous? This is the first time am hearing you say that”He said
“Really? Well am a nervous wreck,I never said it in the past because I didn’t want anyone to know one of my weakness”I said quic-kly cover up
“So now I know one of your weakness right?”He asked
“Yes and that’s the only weakness you will ever know”I replied smiling
“You know there are times when I feel that you are the Dora I know and there are some times that you surprise me and I doubt if you are the Dora I know” he said looking so serious
“Am the Dora you know,How can there ever be any other Dora ap@rt from me”
“You are right! There can’t ever be any other Dora except you and I like this Dora,Don’t ever change”He said and ruffled my hair before turning back to take his l@pt©p.
If only he knew the truth,The real Dora is dead and am an imposter.
I only hope that I manage to get out of all this before they find out the truth,I have to leave before Micheal drags me down with him.
After hours of being in the car,We finally got to the house.
It was when Brian helped me out of the car that I noticed that we weren’t at the Baxter mansion
“Why are we at your house?”I asked
“For your safety Dora,I realise that if I was the target,Every one around me is not safe,So the only protec-tion I can offer is to stay in the palace where my guards would be watching over you and your parents”He said
This couldn’t get worse,It’s ha-rd living with Dora parents alre-ady and now I have to live un-der Brian roof.
“Its not really a must that we stay in the palace,You can just get some guards to watch over us at our house”I said
“No Dora,You are staying here,You are the only ticket to having what I want,I won’t let any harm come upon you”He said and before I could say more.
He carried me in his arms and took me straight to the guest room.
He sat me gently on the be-d and I was about to pu-ll away from him when he held me by the w@!st bringing me close to him
“Remember this Dora,You are the only one who can help me just as am the only one who can help you,So in what ever circu-mtance you find your self in,Make sure you protect your self,You are not allowed to risk Your life or to get killed, Have I made my self clear”He asked and I nodded gently.
He let go of me and gave me a smile before leaving the room
Odd! Why is my heart beating so fast,I thought tou-ching my che-st.
The phone beside me rang and I picked it,wondering who was calling.
“Hello”
“I see,You have finally gotten to the palace”Micheal said
“Yes,They discharged me today but how did you know the palace land line”
“I have my ways Emma,You still know that your real identity is Emma right? Hope The name Dora Baxter isn’t going into your br@in”He asked
“I perfectly know who I am and I wouldn’t be here bearing some one else name if you hadn’t f0rç£d me”
“Oh! really? Did I really f0rç£ you?”He asked
“St©p messing with me and tell me why you called?”I asked
“I was actually saving that p@rt for the last”He said
“What do you mean?”
“You see I prepared a welcoming surprise for Brian and if you are not careful,It would also be a surprise meant for you too”He said
“What did you do Micheal?”I asked
“It wouldn’t be a surprise if I told you right?”He said
“Tell me what you plan to do”
“So you can meddle again right?”He asked
“Have told you,I did it to protect you”
“And I thank you for it but this time I don’t want you meddling and no one will trail this incident to me,So just pretend you know nothing okay”He said and cut the call.
How can I pretend! Brian is my only hope of getting out of here,I have to meet Micheal,I have to save him again.
I got out of be-d and when I set my Feet on the floor,It hurt so much but I took in the pain and began to limp to the door.
I went out of the room,resting on the wall while I hop on one leg.
I just hope I can make it to him on time,Judging by the time,Brian would be at his study.
Maybe Micheal surprise is in Brian study,I nee-d to get to him fast,I thought as I kept on going.
BRIAN POV
I sat in the study room, checking out the pictures of Dor0a which was trending now on the internet.
A lot of nickname had been given to her but the one which I liked most was the HEROINE.
Who would have thought that the Dora which a lot of people had hate and dislike would be the one they all love.
I still can’t believe that the girl there in the guest room is the same as the Dora I knew in the past.
She is kind,Caring and she had risk her life to help others.
I found myself being intrigued,I would like to know more about her before we p@rt ways,I thought .
My phone rang and I picked “Hello”
“I guess you are trying to find out who cause the bombing incident right?” The stranger asked
“Who are you?”I asked
“Some one who can answer your questions”He said
“Start speaking then” I said and he laughed
“Do you really think I will just say it without getting some thing in return”He said
“What do you want from me?”I asked
“I will tell you soon,First get out of your study roomand head to the balcony,Some one will be waiting for you there”He said and immediately I stood up doing what he asked of me
I got to the balcony only to find no one.
“Are you messing with me right now! Where is the person am suppose to meet”I asked
“He is there and that is death”He said and suddenly the glas-s vase which had been placed in front of the guest room which was up stairs fell right over my head but I wasn’t hit by it because some one had shoved me out of harm’s way.
