As soon as the taxi st©pped in front of the palace,I got out of it .
Thanks to the stupid work have been doing at the hospital,I now have some money with me .
I always knew that working wasn’t for me and I was right!
Using my scarf to cover my face,I walked in to the palace with out the guards st©pping me
After all a ceremony was being taking place and people were allowed into the palace to show their love and support to the new queen and also to the new king.
Well support won’t be what they will be recieving from me,I thought as I marched into the hall where a lot of people where in.
squee-zing into them,I managed to get to the front,Where I could now see Brian and the imposter her self and also with Brian parents and my parents.
How could they have been fooled by her,Couldn’t they see that we are different,I thought as I stared at all of them.
While I was dying away in the hospital,They were all here enjoying their lives.
Even if I die today,They wouldn’t know,I thought as I wiped off the tears falling from my face.
“Can you plea-se tell us more about yourRelationsh!pwith her highness” one of the reporters asked Brian.
He starred at Her with love in his eyes,Some thing he never did with me,I thought as I watched him give her a smile before he answered the reporter
“Well I wouldn’t say it’s love by first sight,As a lot of you will know,It was an arranged marriage, At first I didn’t like her to be my wife but as time went on,I realised that she is the one for me,The one destined for me, The love of my life and here today I am telling the whole world that am lucky to have her”He said starring at her.
How could he? How could he fall for some one else,it should have been me,I should have been the one he love,not that imposter,I thought as I clenched and unclenched my hand
I won’t be the one in the shadow, I thought.
I was about to walk up to them when some one c@m£ to pu-ll me,I didn’t have the time to pu-ll away because the person grip on my hand was strong and he had used the scarf I had wra-pped around my face to cover my face entirely
“Let go of me before I scream”I said
“Just shut up and come with me”He said as he pu-ll-ed me into a car.
As soon as the car drove off I opened my scarf to see a guy starring at me
“Who are you ?”I asked
” Some one who is after your interest”he said
“And how are you after my interest,I don’t even know you!”I said
“Well let’s start knowing each other because I believe that we will be working with each other in the future” He said
“I don’t want to get to know you, Take me back to the palace, I have some thing urgent to do”I said
“Like what? Like telling the king that you are the real Dora and that the lady with him is a fake?”He asked suddenly starring at me
“Ho…..how do you know that?”I asked
“I know a lot of things Dora Baxter,So just come with me and we will talk about it”He said
All throu-gh the ride,I kept on thinking,who he was and how he knew who I was.
“Are you perhaps Micheal”I asked and he smiled
“No,Am not and as I believe,The so called Micheal is dead,Am William,William ray”He said
“Your name doesn’t ring a bell”I said as I kept on starring at him.
He got out of the car and opened my door “why don’t you come out so we can talk about it”He said and reluctantly I followed him into a luxurious pent house.
After being served a drink that I didn’t t©uçh at all,I asked
“Who are you and how did you know my name?” I asked
“Let’s just say,Am some one who have been watching the royal family for years”
“And why have you been watching them for years?”I asked
“That is because I have a score to settle with them and you my dear will help me with that “He said
“How will I do that! I don’t have a life,That lady over there have taken it from me,She has stolen my identity and if you hadn’t st©pped me,I would have done some thing today”I said
“And what do you think that you will gain! That lady has it all,Your life,Your parents love and most especially Brian love”
“That was because I was in a coma,If I hadn’t been in a coma she wouldn’t have been able to get into my family life”I said
“But she did and what’s worst, Brian knows her real identity,He knows she is not you and still he kept on with the lie”
“That’s a lie, Brian wouldn’t be that heart less”I said
“But he is okay,He and his entire family is,Didn’t you ever wonder why he never c@m£ to look for you when he found out and your parents! Though they found it odd that their daughter survived a big crash like that,They never bothered to look de-ep, They took her in and made her their child and you! Poor you had to suffer alone”
“Think about it,If they ever cared or love you,They would have found a way to the truth but they did nothing,you cant forgive them for that,Each and every one who made you suffer must suffer too”He added
“So what you are telling me right now is that my parents and Brian knew that the girl there is not me yet they kept quiet about it?”I asked
“Now you are thinking”he said
“How could they? I always knew that they never liked me but for them to have kept shut even after knowing that the girl there is not their real daughter is really cruel”I said crying
“This shouldn’t weaken you Dora,This should make you strong,So you can have your revenge on each and every one of them”He said
“Revenge?”
“Yes revenge,They betrayed you and it’s only fair that you make them all pay”He said
“But how do I do that,I don’t have the means or the source to do that”
“That’s why am here,I will help you”He said
“And what do you gain by helping me”I asked
“As have said before,I have a score to settle with the the royal family and with the both of us helping each other,Our goal will be accomplished” he said
“Fine then,I agree to help you but tell me what’s the real identity of that imposter”I asked and he smiled
“If I tell you,You will be shocked,So it’s better that you don’t know”He said
“And also we nee-d to do some thing about your face”He added quic-kly
“My face? But why?”I asked
“If we are to have our revenge,No one must suspect a thing and am afraid that your face can tell a lot”He said
“So what will we be doing about it?”I asked
“We will be travelling to los Angeles for a plastic surgery”He said

Still holding onto my cheek,I c@m£ back to reality, Sighing a bit,I stood up and went towards the mirror to stare at myself
The plastic surgery had been worth it,No one recognise me
Not even my own mother! How will she when she chose some one else over her daughter.
William was right,They all have to suffer just as have suffer and I won’t rest until I bring them all down,I won’t, I thought holding onto my cheek.

As soon as we walked into the orphanage home,I was greeted warmly by the kids.
“Grace plea-se help me bring out the gifts I had brou-ght for them”I said to Grace who stood behind me
“Yes your Highness”she replied gently and the kids went on to pla-y,Still having it in mind that they had some gifts to collect.
I saw the teacher that had taken me to the little boy yesterday and I went to meet her.
“Oh your Highness,Have you come to see the little boy”She asked on seeing me
“I want to know how he is”I said
“Well he is great hands,come with me”She said and I went with her.
As soon as I got to the room where the baby was kept I st©pped short on seeing William pacifying the boy.
“He arrived some hours ago and since then he has been taking care of the baby”she whispered gently,
“You can go in,I will just be out there,if you nee-d me just call your Highness”She said as she bowed and left in a hurry.
I didn’t know if I should leave or go in,it was ha-rd to decide,I thought as I kept on starring at William who kept on saying some thing to the little boy which made him laugh.
“Just come in,None of us will bite you”William said suddenly and he turned to stare at me giving me a smile.

Having no choice,I walked in and stood beside him watching the baby
“Why were you hesitating to come in?”he asked
“Me! Hesitating? Of course not”I said quic-kly
“Did Brian asked you to stay away from me?”he asked
“Why would he asked me to stay away from. You?”I asked
“Because he is jealous and he told me that this morning too”
“Brian told you to stay away from me?”I asked
“Yes he did,Who can blame him,He thinks the friend sh!pbetween us is some thing more,He thinks that we are……..I better not say it” He said
“You better say it William,I want to know what Brian said to you this morning”I said
“Well he said that we are kind of cheating him,Like you and I are having some kind of affair”
“That’s absurd”I said
“Yes that was my reply to him,It was absurd,How could he even say that about you,Doesn’t he trust you?”He said
“Don’t get me wrong Liam,when I say absurd,its referring to what you just said,Brian would never say some thing like that”I said
“So you don’t believe me?”he asked
“Yes I don’t,Brian might say any thing in a fit of rage but he would never say that am cheating on him”I replied
“Fine then,Believe what ever you want,Why don’t we change the subject,Carry baby jack in your arms”He said changing the t©pic to the cute lovely boy in the cot
“Baby jack? And since when was he called jack?”I asked as I lifted the child into my arms and smiling up at Liam
“Well since today,I named him Jack my self,He seemed like a jack,So I gave him Jack”He said and that made me laugh
“Jack,let me think! It’s good,I love jack and he looks like a jack”I said starring at the slee-ping jack in my arms.
I didn’t notice that William was taking a picture of me and jack until I looked up and found him with his phone
“Why did you do that?”I asked as I put baby jack back in his cot
“Just wanted to take the expression,You both looked good together”He said starring at his phone
“Hey delete that! My pictures can’t just be taken”I said as I walked towards him but he was too fast as he dodge past me
“Are you going to make me run for it now?”I asked
“Some thing like that,If you want it deleted just take it from me”He said as he moved to the door

It was so sudden that I didn’t notice,He stood still and turned to look at me and before I could st©p myself I ran straight into his arms

“I think have stepped on some thing,Stay like this until I manage to pu-ll it out”he said and I stood like that for a while.

“Just a nail,We will have to make a report of this,if it had been one of them that had step on it then some thing worse would have happen” He said

“Your Highness,We nee-d to leave for our next appointment” Grace said as she ran towards us
“Oh my,I totally forgot about that,See you later William”I said and ran off
I didn’t see the way William kept looking at me as I ran off.
The car st©pped at the Campbell mansion and holding my invite,I went into the house.
Diane and I have been friends only because Brian and her husband are close friends
Diane is the only daughter of the former president,Though she tries not to show it,She is a very spoilt child.
She likes to talk and never knows how to st©p and I would like to be some where else right now,I have no choice.
Brian won’t be here,So he agreed that I should come even knowing that I don’t like Diane and cruel remarks.
She sure is going to talk about her third child and make a cruel remark at me being barren,not that I haven’t grown used to it yet but her remark still finds a way to hurt me.
Breathing in a sigh,I walked into the room and there were a lot of guest,Some which I knew and some which I don’t.
“Your Highness you are finally here”on hearing Romeo voice I gave him a smile in return
His wife is the bit-chy one but he is quite different.
“Hello Romeo,I couldn’t miss the christening of baby Laura and where is the angel herself”I asked
“In the study with her mom,You know how Diane is possessive with the child”Romeo said
“Well I will go and see her?”I said
“Are you going to go in with them?”Romeo asked starring at my guards and Mary who were behind me
“Her Highness doesn’t go any where with out us”One of the guards said
“I know but it might be some how for Diane and you know how she is”Romeo said again
“I know,Don’t worry they won’t be coming in”I replied
“But your Highness!”grace called behind me
“Don’t worry,I will be fine, Just stay here,I will just say hello to Diane and drop the gift and then I will be out again”I said and quic-kly went to the study.
There were four women there including Diane with the new baby Laura
“Oh look who is here,Her highness”Diane announced and when the three ladies saw me,They immediately bowed
“We are all female here,You don’t have to do that”I said as I walked in
“But you are the queen and you deserve some respect”Diane said and that made the three ladies laugh,Why they were laughing I didn’t un-der stand
“I c@m£ to see baby Laura and to give her this”I said as I put the blue shawl down
“What’s this?”She asked
“A shawl,I made it myself”I replied
“This is why ladies who haven’t given birth yet don’t know what to buy for occasion like this” She said
“What do you mean?”I asked
“Blue are for boys and pink are for girls your Highness”One of the three ladies replied
“I didn’t know that”I replied feeling like a fool
“And how you know that when you haven’t given birth ooops…..that sli-pped, I didn’t mean it that way your Highness”She said with a smile
“It doesn’t matter Diane”
“You see every one here have given birth and they knew what colour to bring which was pink, What am I going to do with this blue” She asked maliciously
“You can just give it out or do what ever you want with it”I replied
“Well that will have to be to throw it away”She said
“To throw it away?”I asked
“I have no use for it your Highness”She said
“Well then I will just have to take it back right,Since it’s of no use to you,It might be to some one else”I said and left the room.
I didn’t feel like going to grace and the guards yet,So I went to the rest room.
I stood in front of the mirror remembering what Diane said

Today it hurts and Brian isn’t here to give me strength,I thought as the tears sli-pped from my face
Just then I heard some voices and quic-kly I went into one of the toilets.
“Serves her right”I heard a lady said
“Just because she is the queen,She thinks she is higher than all of us” Diane said and I knew who they were
“She can’t even give birth and yet she acts like an almighty”another said
“I wonder why that hunk of a king married a barren Lady like her”another added
“Well it’s because he had no choice,I heard that he had to marry her because it was all arranged”Diane voice c@m£ throu-gh again
“Really!”the other three chorused
“Of course,That was why he had to marry her,Am sure that he is regretting it now”She said and they all laughed
Having heard enough and getting very angry,I opened the toilet door and they all stood shocked when they saw me.
“Continue,Am a great listener”I said
“On…what your Highness”one of the ladies asked
“Why should we hide it,She heard every thing,We might as well continue from here “Diane said
“You three leave,I want to talk to Diane alone”I said
“Why should they? Don’t you want to listen any more”She taunted
“Your husband’s are all workers un-der my husband and with just one word from me,they can k!sstheir job goodbye,Do you want that for them?”I asked and immediately the three ladies ran off leaving only Diane
“What? Are you going to use that threat on me too, it won’t work cause I know for a fact that Romeo and His majesty are close friends,He wouldn’t want to harm his friend”Diane said smiling at me
“I know right but the two of us aren’t friends,So I can do this”I said and before she do a thing I punched her on her nose
“Ooooouch……….that hurts,Are you mad!”She yelled at me
“Have tolerated your insults enough,It’s time I teach you a lesson”I said
“bit-ch!!!!”She moved towards me wanting to sl@p me but I held her hand and pushed her to the wall
“To slow fool”I said and held her hair ti-ghtly slamming her face on the wall
“For your information,I grew up in a neighbourhood where fighting is the only way to survive”I added
And then I turned on the tap and poured the water on her face,She kept on screaming for me to st©p but I didn’t.
It wasn’t until her designer clothe was damaged that I re-leased her.
Taking her by her hair I pushed her into one of the toilet and she sat on the floor starring at me .
“You should be grateful that this is a p@rty or I might have done worse and for the record,My husband doesn’t regret marrying me,He loves me the way I am,Some thing I doubt that your husband do,So long my dear Diane”I said giving her a smile
Closing the door on her I used a mopping stick to hold the handle so she wouldn’t be able to come out and then I left the rest room feeling triumphant.
