I stayed in the garden starring at every thing both grace and I have made and it all look perfect
I just had to wait for Brian to show up,I hope that by doing this, I will be able to get him to forgive me
Jealousy had blinded me and I had decided to mistrust him
I have to get his forgiveness,I thought.
“Come throu-gh here your Majesty”On hearing Grace voice,I quic-kly hid myself behind a large tree
I saw him walk in and when he saw no one he began to call my name
As sneakingly as I could I hid ran towards him and used my hand to cover his eyes
“What’s this?”he asked
“I don’t want to see your angry face”I said
“And who told you that I was angry”he asked
” Because of what I did a while ago,Why didn’t you defend your self,Why didnt you tell me that you had to cancel a very important business meeting because you were coming to me “I asked
“You didn’t give me a chance to Emma”He said trying to pu-ll my hand off
“No don’t,Let’s stay like this,At least until I apologise”I said
“Really? “he asked
“Just stay like this and listen to me……..Am sorry, Am sorry I doubted you,it would never happen again”I said and he didn’t say any thing
I with drew my hand from his eyes and stood In front of him
He stayed silent starring at me and I knew that it would take a lot of persuasion to get him to forgive me.
“Brian!”I called softly
“How are you feeling now?”He asked changing the subject
“Fine,I got treated and am up again”I said
“By your knight in shining armour right?”He asked
“Oh Brian,Don’t be like this, won’t you forgive me”I said as I held his hand
“This is not about me forgiving you,You doubted me Emma and that hurts” He said
“I know,Am such a fool,I thought you were busy and couldn’t make it to me but now that I know that you were delayed at the airport,I feel bad,you don’t know how much “I said
“So plea-se darling,Forgive me this once,I won’t ever jump into conclusion again and I won’t believe any thing until it comes from you “I begged earnestly
He with drew his hand and went to stand by the table,His back turned towards me
“And do you think that I should forgive you like that ? “He asked
“Of course you should,if I were in the Same shoes,I would forgive you instantly”I said
“I don’t think so,I can’t forgive you yet, Shall we eat,Am starving”He said pu-lling out the chair to sit down
Suddenly I lost my temper and lashed out at him
“You are being a j£rk,Have alre-ady apologised what more do you want from me?”I said not sitting
“Let’s just sit and eat”
“You eat it your self,Have just lost My appetite”i said walking off
I didn’t make it out of the garden because Brian pu-ll-ed me and back hvgged me
“Let me go”I said trying to pu-ll free
“Am sorry,I didn’t mean to be a j£rk,I was just so hurt and jealous”
“I should have been the one with you,should have taken care of you but I wasn’t and knowing that William did it made me furious and jealous”
“I don’t like it when you are with another guy ap@rt from me,I don’t like it”He said holding me close
Smiling gently I held his hand and relaxed in his arms
“You don’t have to be jealous,You know you are the only I have eyes for,You are the only one I love and certainly the only one I will ever want,A thousand of William won’t change that”I said
He turned me slowly in his arms and I starred up at him
“Its you I love always remember that”I said and he k!$$£d myl-ips.
“And not a thousands of Alicia will separate us”He said again and k!$$£d me.
Some one coughing nearby made the k!ssst©p
We both stared at the intruder and it was none other than The great queen.
“Sorry to intrude”She said giving me a malicious look
“Why are you here mom”Brian asked
“I c@m£ to tell you that Alicia is back from the hospital”
“Am busy right now,I will see her as soon as am throu-gh with what am doing”He said
“She just c@m£ back from the hospital,Even if she will be your mistress,you nee-d to be there to make her feel at home”She said again
“Can’t you just do it,Am having dinner with my wife”He said
“That can wait right? Emma won’t object to you ma-king sure your mistress to be is okay,Isn’t that right Dora”She asked starring at me
“Of course I don’t,You can go Brian,just go and see her in,I will wait here for you”I replied quic-kly
“Fine then,I will back soon”He said and k!$$£d me briefly on thel-ips before walking off
The queen stayed Long to give me a evil look before walking off.
I sat down on one of the chair,Feeling down.
Ever since they learner that I couldn’t give birth to a child,The queen behaviour towards me had changed.
I still remember those times when she had been caring and loving towards me but every thing changed when she found out that am barren.
If it were up to her Brian will be marrying Alicia instead of having her as his mistress and if am not careful she will find a way to make that possible.
I sat there waiting and waiting for him to show up but nothing.
I was dozing off when I felt some one t©uçh,Waking me up
I looked up to find grace starring down at me “what’s wrong?”I asked
“Its past your be-d time,You should be in door not out door”she said
“But am waiting for my husband,He said he will be here soon”I said
I looked at my watch and saw that the time had gone two hours,Where could he be? I thought
“But I just saw him inside dining with Lady Alicia and his parents,I thought you both had finished dinning”Grace said
“We never had the chance to,The great queen c@m£ saying that he had to welcome Alicia,Seems like he forgot I was here”I said sadly
“But if he knew that you were here,He would have asked some one to come and tell you that he couldn’t make it or did he but you didn’t know”She asked
“If he had called,Am not with my phone,So I can’t know,Let’s pack up all this,”I said sadly
“Your Highness!”Grace called worriedly
“I will be fine”I replied the rest of the maid helped to pack up .
Later on I went to my room to change and sleep in.
As soon as I was dressed in my night go-wn ,I took my phone and saw his missed call.
He had indeed called me but I didn’t take my phone with me .
Why couldn’t he have s£nd some one? Why didnt he try to do some thing to tell me that he couldn’t make it,He had been busy with Alicia.
No I can’t jump into conclusion yet,I had promised him that I wouldnt do it,So until he gives me a good reason, I won’t think about it..
I tried so ha-rd to sleep but sleep didn’t come,I had to know the reason why Brian didn’t come back and why he didn’t bother to get it throu-gh to me that he couldn’t make it.
Just then the door opened and he sauntered in.
I layed still while he took off his clothes and went to shower.
He c@m£ back a while later and sle-pt beside me on the be-d.
I thought he will sleep off with out talking me to me but he moved and held me close
“Sorry that I didn’t make it back”He said
“It doesn’t matter”I replied gently
“I couldn’t reach you throu-gh your phone,So I s£nt James to you and am sure he did give you the message because every thing that was set up there was gone “He said
“James!”I said
“Yes I s£nt him to you,Didn’t you see him?”He asked
“I did,yes,I saw him”I lied
“Tell me what happened with Alicia”I asked trying to distract him from talking about James
“It has been decided,During the evening,I will go and see Alicia”He said gently and I knew what it was for
“At least she will have your time in the evening while I have you in my arms in the night”I said lightly trying to be cheerful in a heart breaking situation.
He lifted my chin and stared down at me “Are you really fine with it or are you just pretending” He asked
“I am,I really am fine with it”I replied gently
“Really? You know that with just one word from you,I will st©p all of it”He said
“Truly Brian am fine and you don’t have to st©p it,It’s as important for you as it’s as important for me,The child will also be like my child,So st©p worrying and give birth to a child I can adore and cherish for life”I said and he pu-ll-ed me hvgging me
“Just keep on loving and being there for me,As long as you are there,I will be fine”I said
“I love you”He whispered and k!$$£d me,Showing me in many ways how much he loved me.

I woke up feeling good,After last night I was sure that Brian will always love me,No matter what.
As usual the be-d was empty and there was a paper on the table.
I picked it up and went throu-gh the content

I smiled after re-ading it and then I went to bathe and to get re-ady for the day .
“You have the orphanage home to visit and also the charity auction”Grace re-ad Me my schedules for the day
“Just two things to do?I thought I would have more than two schedules today”I said
“That was what the queen ordered”Grace said
“The queen ,Do you know why?”I asked
“I don’t,She just said that this will be your own work for today”Grace said
It seemed a bit odd that the queen will be doing all the work
In the past I had always been given many duties, That was the work of a queen.
She would often say to me but today it’s different,Why is she doing the rest and giving me a meagre p@rt,Is it to spite me more.
Just then I saw James pas-s and quic-kly I called for him.
He ran towards me and bowed gently “you called for me your Highness”He said
“Yes I did” the other escourts moved away while I talk to Him
“Were you coming to call me at the garden yesterday”I asked
” yes I was but the great queen st©pped me saying she would call you her self”He said
So the queen had st©pped him and She didn’t come to call me,I thought.
She wanted me to get angry at Brian but I didn’t,that will some how be a lost for her,I thought.
With my permission James left and stood in front of the palace waiting for the car to arrive
Just then the queen along with Alicia c@m£ to join us too.
On seeing her I bowed and she smiled at me in return
“Going out your Majesty”I asked
“Yes, Have decided to do some of my duties,Having every thing piled up on you is really stressful right?”,She asked
“Not at all, I am the queen and am expected to do all of it”I replied
“But since Alicia Is here now,you shouldn’t worry, She will be helping you out”She said
“I thought that you were the one who wanted to do it”I asked
“Not me exactly,Alicia will”She said
“And is it a good idea to have Alicia going to all the functions”I asked
“Why? Why can’t I go? Is it because you are the queen and I am the mistress?”Alicia asked
“Mainly because of that”I replied wanting to pay them back just as how they have been doing to me
“How dare you?”Alicia asked
“I am the queen here ,The one Brian loves,You are just here to have his child and nothing else”
“It wouldn’t have happened if you hadn’t been barren”The great queen retorted
“But I am barren and you can st©p using those words on me,It wont work again and as you have said if it wasn’t for me,She wouldn’t be here and just as she has come,I can easily get her out,Just one word from me to Brian and she will be gone,So I suggest you know what you are doing and know who the real queen is'”I said leaving them speechless
Just then the car arrived and with one last bow at the great queen I got In and left
“That was great your Highness”Grace who was sitting beside me said
“The only thing they know how to is to get on some one nerves”I said feeling angry
“You really put them in their place, Especially the great queen,She is always saying things about you,It’s time she has a taste of her own medicine”Grace said and I laughed
We got to the orphanage home and like every other day,I was welcome well
This is the orphanage home that brian is having built another one
The kids here were lovely and each time they tell me about their story,How their parents had abandoned them,I always felt bad for them.
While grace and the guards stayed out side,I was in talking with the head
“Seven new kids have been brou-ght here and I didn’t want to say it because of how the king and you had help us but we are in nee-d of more rooms,Every day there is a parent who abandon their child and some of them are brou-ght here”She said
“You shouldnt feel shy to ask,The king and I are here for you,So if you nee-d any thing,Just ask us”I said
“Oh thank you your Highness, Believe me when I say that you both are our angel,Am sure that other orphanage doesn’t receive this much help,Thank you “She said
Later on I stood in the midst of the little kids pla-ying with them,I didn’t notice that ap@rt from grace and the guards,I had another audience.
The girls had asked me to dance for them and while I was dancing to a song they were singing,I finally noticed the audience and it was none other than William.
While the teacher took back the k!ssattention I went to him
“You are really good with kids”he said
“They are just so lovely,What are you doing here?”I asked
“I c@m£ for business,Don’t worry I didn’t come to see you”He said
“Like I didn’t know”I replied and just then a lady ran towards us
“Your Highness,there is a child,He just won’t st©p crying,I don’t know how to placate him any more”the lady said
“Take me to him”I replied and went after the lady,I didn’t notice that William had followed too.
We got to where the child had been placed,he was crying
“He is just a baby”I muttered as I quic-kly went to carry the crying child
“He is p@rt of the child that was brou-ght in by the social care workers,”the lady said
“They said they had found him in one of the trash can on the street,The cruel parents had left the poor child to die”She said again
I felt so sad And t©uçhed for the child, I did all I could to pacify the crying babt but he kept on crying
“Give him to me”William said taking the child from me
I watched him pacify the child and the child st©pped crying
Before we knew he went back to sleep and we all left the room
“Thank you sir William and also you your Highness,Without you guys,we would have been lost on how to take care of the child”The teacher said
“There is no nee-d to thank us and besides mr William here did all the work”I said
“You don’t have to thank me,I just don’t like to see children cry”He said smiling and i studied him
I would never have thought of him that way,He really surprised me today,I thought as we both walked out silently
“You must really love kids”I asked
“Oh not really, when our parents died,It was just me and Alicia,I practically took care of her when she was a baby,So am used to it”He said smiling
Just then Grace c@m£ to me “your Highness It’s time to put up an appearance at the charity auction”She said
I turned to stare at William “I will be taking my leave now”I said and then I left.
The charity auction was just starting when I arrived.
I was taken to the front seat,The auction went well and before I left I had them a lot of money.
I was talking to the auctioneer when she looked up and smiled at some one who was approaching
“Its you again Mr William”The lady said
“William!”I called surprised
“Don’t tell me that this is the second appointment you were coming to”William asked
“Well it is ,why are you here though,I never knew you come to this kind of place?”I asked
“Well I have a soft heart for the unfortunate, I go to every charity auction I can find”he said
“Ap@rt from you Your Highness,Mr William has also given us a large sum,We really appreciate it”The lady said as she bowed and left.
“You really surprise me today”I said
“Really? How?”
“I never knew you were some one who could give,I judge you by A…….”I st©pped short when I realised what I was about to say
“You judged me by My sister behaviour right?”he asked
“Well yes but today I know you are some how different, whenever I see people who give to the less unfortunate,I admire them ”
“And so do you admire me” He asked And I replied with a smile.
Just then I checked the time and saw that it was evening alre-ady,if am right Brian will be on his way to Alicia.
“What’s wrong?”William asked as he stood beside me
“Nothing”I replied
“You expression have changed,Is it what am thinking”He asked having a knowing look
“If you know alre-ady then why ask”I said as I walked off
He caught up to me and pu-ll-ed me back “you chose this Dora,So why are you being like this”
“Yes I chose it,I chose it because I can’t bear to See Brian with out a child”
“Even though it hurts you so much”Heasked
“I must live with it,I must”I said trying to control my emotion
“But I can’t bear to see you this way! Come with me”he said and pu-ll-ed me off.
