Worrying about Nick, I had a sleepless night
I ran my f!ngersthrou-gh my hair as I sat up on the be-d
I was damn confused
I dragged myself up from the be-d and walked into the bathroom to freshen up . I soon returned to the run when I done
I dressed hurriedly, pick up my phone and car keys on the table and headed for my dad room.

I knocked at his door but there was no response from him
Is he still slee-ping? I wondered
I pushed the door opened and walked in.
he was seated on the be-d and staring into space
Dad! I called while walking towards him
he jo-lted out from his thoughts and looked at me
I sighed
Are you still thinking about Nick?
Why won’t I? Why won’t I think about him? I loved him for good twenty- three(23) years thinking he was my son , but it was all a waste
plea-se don’t say that Dad, Nick is your son and will always be .
he scoffed
It does not change the fact that he is not my blood
Does it really matter? I asked calmly

but dad it ……… I tried to say but he cut me off

I alighted from the car and walked into the hospital

I nodded at his mum and took my leave …….

I walked throu-gh the long pas-sage to the reception .
I was surprised to see Kira seated at the reception room , her eyes was glued to her phone
I walked towards her and tapped her gently
She looked startled for a moment , and then quic-kly composed herself

When did you get here? I asked
Not quite long, I was told only family members are allowed to visit Nick. she explained
