Domestic violence Episode 5 & 6

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
EPISODE 5

They walked out of the restaurant holding hands with a lot going throu-gh Femi’s head, he was thinking of a plan B that only him knew about.
Femi drove her home in his black BMW, during the drive home, he spoke less because he was preoccu-pied with what Shana had told him back then at the restaurant. “So, Ayo has eyes for her and he never told me? And she is stupid enough to tell me she wants to seek permission from my younger brother before accepting me, what a lady. I wish I wasn’t in love with her alre-ady, I would have just kicked her as-s out of my car”, he thought. When they got to the front of her gate, she st©pped him from driving into the compound.
Shana: “Don’t bother driving in, it is late alre-ady, you go home and rest, remember that you have to be at work early tomorrow morning. I will go in myself”.
Femi: “Hey, I am not complaining, I will be fine”.
Shana: “I insist, Femi”.
Femi: “Okay, madam. Can I at least get a hvg or a pe-ck or preferably a k!ss?”
Shana: “Hmmn, Femi Femo!”, she tea-sed. “Where you wan see k!ss? Na only hvg you go get”, she drew near and gave him a side hvg but he held her ti-ght as if his life depended on his holding on to her. At first she felt awkward being in such a compromising position with the brother of her crush but as she inhaled his perfume and as her heart beat synced with his, she relax and Femi, the veteran that he is at women affairs could tell that she was alre-ady melting for him. He raised up her head and brou-ght hisl-ips low to her own.
Shana: “No Femi, st©p this, you know it is not right. I haven’t accepted to go out with you yet”.
Femi: “Shhhh, relax. This is just a harmless k!ss”. He switched off the car’s bulb and turned off the ignition. Before she could open the door to get out, he gr@bb£d her hands and began to k!ssher pas-sionately. Hisl-ips were h0t and she could feel the pas-sion with which he was devouring her small mouth. She on her p@rt was dormant, allowing him to do the k!ss!ngalone but when he began to roll his ton-gue in her mouth, her resistance gave way to longing and she began to respond. Femi saw this as a good sign and so he intensified his game. He re-moved hisl-ips from her own and began to li-ck her face with his ton-gue, a gesture that s£nt her wild with de-sires. He k!$$£d her cute pointed nose, her ear lobes and her n£¢k while she mourned softly. Suddenly he st©pped.
Femi: “I am sorry I went this far. I didn’t intend to take advantage of you. I was only carried away by your beauty and the love I have for you”. He apologized.
Shana: “Shhh…don’t say a word”. She brou-ght her face to his and covered his wi-de mouth with her small mouth. It was blissful for Femi who even thought he wanted to have her didn’t want to do so without her cons£nt. His left palm found its way into her br@ and he began to fondle her brea-st. First gently and then the tempo increa-sed with the intensity of her gentle m0@n ing. He squee-zed her n!ppl!s and a sharp gr0@nescaped from herl-ips which were devouring his. Moving a step further, he reached for her belly bu-tton which was located at the middle of her flat stomach. It was all together a new experience for Shana who didn’t want him to st©p. He had magical f!ngersand was tou-ching her in the right places, treasure sp©ts she never knew she had. “If the cost of me enjoying myself this much is to get Ayomide out of my heart, then so be it” she thought.
Femi’s hand made its way into her lace p@n-t and he found the cookie in between her legs well shaven and smooth, just the way he liked it. Her p@n-t was we-t, he had succeeded in turning her on and effortlessly for that matter! Gently, he slid one of his f!ngersinto her and she felt ti-ght. “A vir-gin?” he asked himself. He continued to f!nger her gently, careful not to hurt her because she was wincing as if from pain. She let her hands move to his groin and she undid his belt and unZi-pped his trou-sers. When her hand connected with his man-hood in his trou-sers, she bec@m£ a little bit scared. The man-hood felt inviting big and S-xy but she a v!rg!nwas afraid that she may not be able to contain him. She began to squee-ze him, not knowing what to do. When her m0@n ings increa-sed, Femi paused and looked into her eyes.
Shana: “Why did you st©p?”
Femi: “Are you sure you want this? I won’t do it if you do not want me to”.
Shana: “I want to but I am afraid”.
Femi: “Afraid of what? Are you a vir-gin?”
Shana: “Yes, I did engage in a couple of forepl@ybefore but I never had S-x. I heard it hurts, I am so scared?”
Femi: “You don’t have to be, I will be gentle. The earlier you get used to it, the better. You are not getting younger you know”.
Shana: “But this”, she pinched his man-hood. Can it enter me?”
Femi: “Hahaha…of course it will. Don’t mind its size, you made it swell like that”.
They clasped their bodies together in a warm embr@ce, she knew that there were questions she ought to ask me, precautions to take but all s-en-se of reasoning was lost when he re-moved her p@n-ts and undressed her. The discarding of each item of her clothing was se-duction. As her dress gave way revea-ling her petit but fresh b©dy, he threw caution to the wind and drew the car seat back. He was going to have her in his car and there was no going back about it.
As a veteran, Femi was far from a learner. He knew how to handle a woman’s b©dy for optimum plea-sure. He was out to impress, to flatter and to give her a memorable first impression. He p@rted her legs and brou-ght his b©dy on her. “I will be gentle”, he whispered into her ear as-suring her. Gently, he pushed his way into her, she was alre-ady we-t and so it wasn’t as difficult as she had imagined. When he pene-trated her, she let out a scream, a painful one. For Femi, he had set out to have fun with her but this was no longer the case when he c@m£ out of her exhausted and satisfied.
First time S-x for them was what bonded their souls together and they knew that there was no way there could run away from each other.
=====
Less than a year later, after her graduation, they had gotten married in an elaborate wedding that was sponso-red by their parents and well wishers. It took the joint collaboration of their parents to persuade Ayomide to allow Femi marry Shana since he was never in any relationsh!pwith her. After the ceremony, the newlyweds drove home in their Limousine to begin their honeymoon. Ayomide and other relations were alre-ady in the house ma-king sure that everything was intact for the arrival of the bride and groom. A couple of close friends and families were gathered there for the welcome p@rty too.
As soon as they got home, Shana with her maid of honour and makeup artist went into her room to change into a gold coloured dress and change her makeup for the welcome p@rty. Her makeup artist was still highlighting and contouring her face when Ayomide c@m£ in.
Ayomide: “Iyawowa (our wife), congratulations. I must say that you look extra stunning today. If not that Femi is my half brother, hmmn…” he remarked with a pinch of jealousy in his voice.
Shana s-en-sing the dangerous trends that the conversation was taking asked her maid of honour and makeup artist to excuse her to have a word with her brother in law.
Shana: “I am sorry, Ayo. You will always be my best friend”.
Ayomide: “Oh yeah, best friend, that is what I am good for. I spent years of my life dreaming about you and crushing on you only for me to be relegated to a best friend zone. Thank you”.
Shana: “You have no right to scream at me. I also crushed on you, in fact, I was head over heels in love with you. I waited for the day when you would asked me out, in fact I prayed for it and I would have gladly accepted you but you never spoke up. How is that my fault?”
Ayomide: “I was afraid of getting “NO” for an answer. I loved you but I didn’t want you to reject me and so I suffered in silence. I promised myself that I would summon courage to ask you out when I come back but alas, my brother was smarter than I”. He cleaned the sweet on his forehead with his handkerchief. “Tell me, Shana. Do you love him more than you love me? If you had a choice, would you choose him over me?”
Shana: “Such questions are irrelevant now. I am alre-ady married and to your brother at that”.
Ayomide: “Don’t you dare give me evasive answers, Shana. I know you still love me and de-ep within your heart, you prefer me to him”. He drew near to her with the intention of giving her a pas-sionate k!ss, that moment, Femi was walking up the stairs to his wife room to lead her out to the welcome p@rty.
Shana took a step back when she saw Ayomide coming close to her, she knew that the bottled up feelings she had for him could give way to actions that could ruin her few hours old marriage.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
EPISODE 6
Shana took a step back when she saw Ayomide coming close to her, she knew that the bottled up feelings she had for him could give way to actions that could ruin her few hours old marriage.
Shana: “Ayo, plea-se. Don’t come any closer; I am your elder brother’s wife”.
The door suddenly opened and Femi walked in.
Femi: “Wifey, you are not re-ady yet? The guests are alre-ady waiting for us”.
Ayomide: “Your wife is almost re-ady. I actually interrupted her makeup session because I wanted to congratulate her for ma-king such a good choice for a husband”, he bowed his head and walked out of the room leaving the newlyweds behind. Shana had observed that ever since Ayomide got back and heard the news of their engagement, the relationsh!pbetween the two brothers had been strained. Ayomide had even vowed to her that he wouldn’t attend their wedding but had changed his mind after much persuasion from his family.
Femi: “What are you thinking of? Ayomide? I see that you love him”.
Shana: “I don’t know what you are talking about”.
Femi: “Do not lie to me, Shana. I see the way you were staring at him when he left the room, I see the way your eyes sparkle anytime we talk about him. Tell me, are you alre-ady regretting this marriage? Do you wish that you had married him instead?”
Shana: “It is you that I love, Ifemi and that is why I married you. Ayomide is my brother in law and that is what it is”.
That as-surance was all that Femi nee-ded to put his insecurities to rest and he gave his bride a pe-ck and led her out. They had travelled to Dubai afterwards for their honeymoon and their marriage had been blissful until Shana began to get worried because she could not conceive despite the fact that she was having S-x with her husband almost every day.
=====
*BACK TO PREs£nT*
Shana returned back to reality from thinking about her past and how the journey with Femi started. “Could it be that Femi is cheating on me because I am yet to conceive after six years of marriage?”, she asked when she got out of her subconscious to the reality that Femi had left the be-droom for her simply because she confronted him with his infidelity. “No, I can’t allow things get out of hand like this. Femi and I cannot be in the same house and we will sleep in different rooms, no way”, she got up from the be-d and walked to the guest room. She saw him lying on the couch in the sitting room with his duvet over him. She knelt down beside him. “Ifemi, my pride, I am sorry I over reacted. plea-se forgive me. Come back to the be-droom to my be-d where you belong”.
Femi although awake ignored her and continued to stare at the ceiling.
Shana: “I am talking to you, Ife. I said I am sorry now, Crown”.
Femi: “Ohhhh! What have I gotten myself into like this? I was in the be-droom, you didn’t allow me sleep. I left there for you and now you won’t allow me sleep here too?”
Shana: “I said I am sorry, now. Okay, let us sleep here together then”, she made to lie down on his che-st but he stood up angrily.
Femi: “I see that you are in the mood for trouble tonight. Whatever it is that is pushing you to me, tell the thing that you didn’t see me”. He walked to the guest room and locked the door shutting her out.
====
Shana woke up feeling feverish the next morning, she had spent the good p@rt of the night weeping and had fallen asleep at the wee hours of the morning hence she didn’t know when Femi left for work in the morning. She made to get up from be-d but she felt week and she decided to l@yback in be-d.
Few minutes later, she felt a rumbling in her stomach and she ran to the bathroom and threw up. That was the first time in years that she was vomiting and she felt strange. She went back to be-d and in no time she was vomiting again. Then she realized that she hadn’t seen her monthly flow for two months. “Could this mean that…”, she couldn’t complete the question because she was afraid of dashing her hopes. “God, could this mean that I am pregnant? I just wish it would be true, then I would live all my life praising you”. She summoned all the strength she had and drove to the pharmacy down their street. There she bought a pregnancy testing kit and c@m£ home to test herself. Two pink lines appeared on the test str!pe, a confirmation that she was indeed pregnant. “No, this is too good to be true, there must be a mistake somewhere”, she thought. She tried it again and again, using different str!pes and they all gave the same result. Her joy knew no bounds. She picked up her phone to break the good news to Femi but he did not pick his calls and she decided to wait for him to break the good news to him. This was too precious news to be broken to her husband via text message, she thought.
That evening, she took special care to brush her hair and apply her makeup. She was going to be a mother and she didn’t care if Femi went out with all the women in the world, the baby forming in her was all that mattered to her and she was not going to allow Femi’s infidelity dampen her spirit.
Femi closed from work at about 8pm that day and headed for home. He had called Licia earlier in the day to cancel his d@t£ with her because he had a slight headache and nee-ded to sleep. He had however promised himself that should his wife give the slightest impression of nagging, he would leave the house and sleep out at his mistress’ place, an act he never contemplated before now.
When he got to the house, he observed that his wife was looking brighter, despite the fact that they had a quarrel the previous day. As soon as he was done eating his dinner, she c@m£ close to him.
Shana: “Guess what, Ifemi”.
Femi: “I really can’t guess anything right now. My head hurts and all I nee-d is to rest”.
Shana: “Ife! Ah! You have changed o. Anyway, I, no, we are going to have a baby”.
The news hit Femi like a thun-derbolt and he j£rked up and moved over to her sofa.
Femi: “What did you just say?”
Shana: “I am pregnant, Ifemi”, a tear of joy escaped from her eyes.
Femi gr@bb£d her in a soulful hvg, the type he used to give to her when they were d@t!ngand when they were few years into their marriage. He was happy and instantly began to regret all the pains that he had put her throu-gh because of her inability to conceive six years after marriage.
Femi: “I am so happy, baby. You know what excitement does to me, it makes me speechless. Right now I can’t even say anything. All I know is that I thank you for ma-king me a father and I promise to be the best husband to you and the best father to my child”.
Shana: “Today is the second best day of my life, the first was the day I walked down the aisle to be with you forever. Thank you for ma-king me a mother”.
Femi: “I owe you all the thanks. In fact, what was I doing having another woman’s phone number in my phone?”
Shana: “I know for you? You better change o, you are soon going to be a daddy and you better start behaving like one”.
Femi: “I have changed alre-ady o. Don’t be angry with me, mummy”, he tea-sed her.
She was glad that finally their happy days were back. This was the jovial Femi she married, the one that made her laugh all the time. In her heart, she blessed God for giving her a child at a time when her marriage was sailing on turbulent waters, there was no better time than now for such a priceless gift.
Femi: “So tell me, which hospital confirmed the pregnancy? I mean you didn’t even tell me that you were going to the hospital today, I would have given you some money”.
Shana: “I didn’t go to any hospital”.
Femi: “Really? So how did you confirm the pregnancy?”
Shana: “I did home test using pregnancy str!pes”.
Femi: “You mean you raised my hope based on the result of a pregnancy str!pe? That thing that is not reliable?”
Shana: “I am certain, Ifemi. I tried it so many times and then I haven’t seen my period for more than two months now”.
Femi: “How many times have you missed your period for months in the past only for it to end up coming back after a while?”
Shana: “What are you insinuating?” she was getting worried because there was an atom of truth in what he was saying. Several times in the past, she had missed her period for months only for it to return dashing their hopes.
Femi: “You have to go for a proper test in the hospital tomorrow, until then, count me out of this celebr@tion”, he wore his sli-ppers and left for the be-droom leaving her worried of what the hospital result will be”.
=====
After Femi left for work that morning, Shana got dressed and hurried over her breakfast of corn flakes and drove to her hospital in Wuse Zone 3. She was driving but her heart was beating wild out of fear of a contradicting result at the hospital. She was in a hurry to get to the hospital for she felt like she was going to die of anxiety. She was over speeding and didn’t know when she contravened traffic light and collided with a car that was coming from the opposite direction. As she crashed into the other, she lost control, screamed and pas-sed out.
