Domestic violence Episode 15 & 16

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
EPISODE 15

Ayomide was too shock for words. It took him some minutes before he regained his voice.
Ayomide: “Are you okay, Femi? What do you mean by what you just said?”
Femi: “Oh, you have the mouth to talk after I caught you with my wife?”
Ayomide: “Why won’t I talk? What did you find me doing with your wife? Oh, so because she is your wife someb©dy cannot talk to her again? Have you forgotten that she was my friend even before you married her?”
Femi: “That is it, I know that you have always wanted her, I know that you are jealous that I married her. You are so stupid that you won’t even let go even for the fact that she is married to your elder brother”.
Ayomide: “Look, I don’t know what you are talking about okay? There is no way that I could have thought of coveting your wife. For your information, I c@m£ home to take a wife. I just thought of coming here to check on you since you wouldn’t pick my calls or reply your Skype messages”.
Femi: “I see that you are not even sorry for what you have done”.
Ayomide: “And what have I done, Mr Femi?” he was getting irritated by his brother’s irritating attitude.
Femi: “Are you asking me?” he charged at his brother and sl@pped him ha-rd across the face.
Ayomide was shocked, he didn’t know that his half brother could ever raise his hand against him. Their parents had raised them in love and they had been warned never to fight no matter how provoked they felt.
Shana’s heart skipped a beat, she was afraid that the two brothers will start fighting and over her for that matter. She didn’t want that kind of a scandal and she was determined to do anything to prevent it.
Ayomide felt blood rush into his veins, his fists clenched and he felt like punching his brother on the jaw but he thought against it.
Ayomide: “Thank you so much for the sl@p. This is what I can get for coming to check on my brother and his wife. No wonder Shana looks pale and ruined, take a second look at your wife, is this the woman you married years ago? Was she this tattered? Posterity will judge you for all that you are doing”, he made to leave and st©pped shortly before he got to the door.
“And the bruises on her face, I don’t nee-d to ask where they c@m£ from. You have obviously turned her into your punching bag. And you Shana, you better run for your life before he kills you”. He turned to leave but Femi charged at him but Shana ran up and stood in between them and Ayomide shook his head and walked out ban-ging the door behind him.
Shana: “What is wrong with you? Leave your brother alone, he has done nothing wrong”.
Femi: “Oh really, he has done nothing wrong by tou-ching you? He was about k!ss!ngyou before I c@m£ in, who knows how far he would have gone if I hadn’t returned as at the time I did? I guess you would not mind having him on our matrimonial be-d. Ayomide, your eternal crush who knows how many times he had visited behind my back to service you?”
Shana: “Femi, you may call me whatever you wish but never you in your pathetic life insinuate that I am cheating on you. See who is talking about our matrimonial be-d, do you know the sanctity of the matrimonial be-d? If you do, would you abandon your matrimonial be-d for the be-d of your mistresses? What moral justification have you to query me even if I am cheating on you? When was the last time you t©uçhed me and made me feel like a woman?”
Femi: “You now talk back at me? Is that how much you now disrespect me? I will show you that I am the man of the house and you have to respect me”. He gave her a ha-rd sl@p that s£nt her crashing on the sofa behind her. Before she could comprehend what was happening, another sl@p had landed on her left eye, h0t tears began to stream down her face. Femi was on t©p her in no time hitting and punching her, she tried to escape from his clutch but he pinned her down and was raining b!ows on her. She tried to push him off but his weight was too much for her. With all the strength she had left in her, she raised her hand and struck him ha-rd on the face. Femi was shocked and momentarily taken aback, she seized the opportunity and ran away, she ran to the be-droom but he ran after her and caught up with her. He yanked her head against the wall and she felt like she would pas-s out. She knew that she had to run away before Femi kills her, he gr@bb£d her head and was to repeat what he did but she outsmarted him and raised her knee, in his rage, he didn’t see her raise her knee and it connected with his ba-lls s£nding him reeling with pain on his knees. She bolted out and made for the sitting room. She wanted to run out for her life. She got to the door but she found out that it was locked. She tried to turn the key but the fright in her heart caused her hands to tremble and she was fumbling with the keys, suddenly she turned around and Femi gr-ab her on the w@!st and throw her on the floor.
Femi: “You think you can run away? Where do you think you are running to, Ayomide’s place? I see that what you have in between your legs is scratching you for some action, I am going to give you so much that you would never dream of cheating on me again”, he re-moved his belt and p@rted her legs.
Shana: “Don’t do this Femi, I am your wife you can’t r@p£ me”.
Femi: “Who said it is r@p£? Thank God you know you are my wife and only I am taking what is mine”, there was fire in his eyes and Shana knew that this animal before her was not the man she married.
She attem-pted to plead but Femi struck her ha-rd across the face and f0rç£d his way into her. The pain of his painful pene-tration coupled with the pain from the physical injuries he had inflicted on her was too much for her to bear and she began to scream attra-cting the attention of their neighbours. The more she screamed, the more Femi increa-sed the tempo of his pounding, he was glad that he was causing her pain and her screams urged him on. A heavy knock on the door f0rç£d him to pause, Shana began to scream ha-rder when she heard the knock, she knew that she nee-ded help and there was no way she could keep quiet and allow Femi pound her to her death.
Neighbour: “Open the door now”.
Femi: “Who are you and why should I open the door?”
Neighbour: “I heard your wife screaming, what is going on there?”
Femi: “She is screaming out of plea-sure, haven’t you and your wife had noisy S-x before?”
The neighbour obviously not convinced with the story kept on knocking but Femi ignored him and when Shana tried to scream for help, he brou-ght his hand over herl-ips. The neighbour got tired and left them.
Satisfied with his urge and anger, Femi withdrew from her and kicked her leaving her rolling on the ground in pain. He went into the bathroom, had a quic-k bath and rushed out of the house. He was going to have a plea-surable rest at Nana’s place, his new found mistress.
Shana layed in the sp©t for more than one hour weeping and regretting ever getting married to Femi. She knew that it was time to talk to her parents about Femi’s attitude but she didn’t want to be the cause of trouble between the two families. She was still wallowing in her physical and psychological pain when her phone began to ring. It was Ayomide calling.
Ayomide: “How are you, Shana? I just called to check on you and to ask if you nee-d my help in anyway, I don’t like the way you were looking when I saw you this earlier this evening”.
Shana: “I…Ayomide, I…” her voice went off and she began to cry.
Ayomide: “Shana talk to me, why are you crying?”
Shana: “I am in pain”, she managed to say.
Ayomide: “Just stay put, I am coming right away. You don’t sound good”.
Shana: “No, don’t. I will be fine”, Ayomide had alre-ady dropped the call.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
EPISODE 16
Ayomide was shocked to see Shana in the battered state that he found her. He ran up to where she was lying on the ground and picked her up.
Ayomide: “Look at your face? He did this to you right?”
Shana: “No, Ayomide. He didn’t. It was a domestic accident. I fell down”.
Ayomide: “Don’t lie to me, I know domestic accident when I see one, I am not a child. Why are you covering up for that animal in human skin? Is it when he kills you that your corpse will speak up? You nee-d to speak up and walk from this abusive relationsh!p, Shana”.
Shana: “I don’t know what you are talking about, just take me to the hospital. Whatever happens between my husband and I is none of your business”.
Ayomide was hurt by her harsh words but he didn’t take it to heart. He knew that she was talking out of frustration and he un-derstood her perfectly.
He drove her in his car to the hospital and paid the bills. The doctor called him into his office.
Doctor: “What exactly did you say happen to your wife?”
Ayomide: “Oh, she is my brother’s wife and not mine. Anyway, she said she was involved in a domestic accident”.
Doctor: “What sort of domestic accident if I may ask?”
Ayomide: “I don’t know, doctor. I wasn’t there, she only called me to drive her to the hospital because her husband was not at home when it happened”.
Doctor: “What I see in her is not in any way related to domestic accident. I see a woman whose b©dy and spirit is crushed by domestic violence. What is the relationsh!plike between her and her husband?”
Ayomide: “I really don’t know. I have not been in the country for the past five years”.
Doctor: “We have had cases where women refuse to speak up in the face of serious battering by their husbands, such women end up dying and leaving their children at the mercy of their husband’s mistresses. I will advise that you sit your brother down and caution him, if the marriage wouldn’t work, they should all find their way. She was lucky this time around, if the punches had continued, she would have broken a rib in her left side cartridge. She may not be this lucky the next time”.
Ayomide left the doctor’s office flagger basted. He had s-en-sed it during his first visit that all was not well with his brother and his wife but he never imagined that things had gone that bad. He felt bad that another man was treating a woman he had loved this bad, even more painful was the fact that this other man was his half brother. If it had been any other person, he would have personally instigated a law suit against him. He was mad at Shana for lying and shielding her husband even in the face of serious health damages. “The love she has for Femi must be dangerous. I will confront Femi and if he doesn’t change, I have no option than to report him to our parents. I will not sit by and watch him kill someb©dy’s daughter”, with his mind made up, he got into his car and drove to Femi’s office.

Femi was in the office when Nana c@m£ knocking.
Nana: “Hello, Mr handsome manager”, she drew and k!$$£d him”.
Femi: “Hello pretty, this is an office. No k!sses and tou-ching”.
Nana: “Don’t tell me you don’t want a piece of the action, a quic-kie in the office won’t do us any harm you know”.
She un-bu-ttoned her shi-t revea-ling her medium size but fresh bo-ob s. Femi felt the rod in between his legs ha-rd en and he knew that he had to give it to her there and then. He drew near and began to fondle her brea-st. Nana who was used to the business of satisfying men in be-d got on her knees, unZi-pped his trou-sers and gave him a head, that was her area of specialization. Femi was in cloud nine and he wished that the moment would never pas-s away. In his quest for plea-sure, he had forgotten that he didn’t lock the door to the office. The door opened and Licia walked in, she had been trying to call him and when he refused to pick her call, she had decided to visit him un-der the guise of a customer who wanted to see the br@nch manager.
Licia: “What! Femi!”
Licia walked across the table and sl@pped Femi ha-rd on the face.
Licia: “You shameless man, after all that I do to satisfy you in be-d, you still have the guts to abandon me for your colleague?”
Femi: “Bring your voice down, Licia. This is a corporate office”.
Licia: “I will not bring my voice down, Femi. Do you know that this is a corporate office? If you do, you will not have another woman b!owing you in the office, shameless useless idiot”. Turning to Nana who was bu-ttoning her shi-t, she said.
“And you, what are you doing here? Are you not the new staff I met at the customers service stand the other day? So, your job description also includes slee-ping with your boss? You are not even ashamed of yourself, you are on your knees giving a married man a b!ow job in his office. Shame on you, even prostitutes that stand on the street have better dignity”.
Nana: “Eh-eh, just hold it there. See who is talking, what about you that are following him about everywhere? What dignity have you? Oh, it is in my case that you know he is married, don’t you know that he is married? So why won’t you also allow him be for his wife?”
Femi: “Will you ladies st©p this ru-bbish? Nana, you may leave. I am sure you have customers waiting for you to attend to them”.
Nana: “Didn’t you know that I had customers waiting for me before you allowed me unZi-p your trou-sers?” she sized him up and down, walked over to where Licia was standing and hissed. “Good riddance to bad ru-bbish”, she hissed as she walked out.
Licia stretched out her hand to sl@p Nana’s retreating figure but Femi gr@bb£d her arm.
Femi: “St©p this Licia, take a hold on yourself”.
Licia: “Leave me alone, that cheap slot thinks she can insult me and go scot free? Who does she think she is?”
Femi: “Allow her go for my sake. Do you want to put me in trouble here? Causing a scene here can cost me my job”.
Licia: “I don’t care what it costs you, what you did costs me my heart, that is more precious than your stupid bank job”.
Femi knew that he had to do something quic-k before Licia loses her temper and go on rampage. He held her close to his heart.
Licia: “Leave me alone, don’t even try to bribe me with any fake hvg here. I am going to the banking hall to beat the hell out of that slot”.
Femi: “Shhh…calm down. I will make it up to you. Tell me what you want? A check of 1 million naira? Shopping treat? Make your choice”.
Licia: “I don’t want anything from you, just allow me deal with that stupid girl”.
Femi: “Are you sure that is what you want? There is recession in Nigeria o, do you know what a million naira can do to your business?”
Licia relaxed and thought for few minutes. “I want your heart, Femi. That is all I want”.
Femi: “I would have gladly given it to you but as you can see”, he showed her his ring. “I am happily married”.
Licia: “Oh cut the pretense, Femi. You know that I know you as well as the palm of my hands. Yes, you are married but happily married is a capital lie. You are happily married and yet you spend almost every night on my be-d, you are happily married and yet someone is giving you a head in the office. Weh don sah”.
Femi walked over to his chair and sat down. “You see why I like you, you are very smart. You know how to put 2 and 2 together and arrive at a logical conclusion. But you see, whether happily married or not, the most important thing is that I am married and I cannot divorce my wife to be with you”.
Licia: “Then I am going inside the hall to embarras-s your little mistress”.
Femi: “Common, babe. We can arrive at a compromise. Do you really want me to lose my job? How will that profit you? I can’t divorce my wife even though I am not happy in the marriage. The problem any news of divorce will cause our families is not something that I can endure”.
Licia: “Who is talking about you divorcing your wife? Like seriously you think I want to marry you? So that you will start subjecting me to the kind of psychological trauma that your wife goes throu-gh daily?”
Femi: “Really? I can never seem to un-derstand you, Licia. One minute you want my heart, the next minute you don’t want to be with me. I am confused, what exactly is it that you want from me?”
Licia: “I want to move in and live with you, that way I can have access to your b©dy anytime I want”.
Femi: “How can a grown up lady move in with a married man? What do I tell my wife?”
Licia: “Anything you can think of. You can tell her that I am a house help that you employed to help her out with house chores, I don’t mind, so long as I am un-der the same roof with you”.
Femi: “But Licia…”
Licia: “No buts, Femi. That is my final answer. Think about it and get back to me with a positive answer else, I will expo-se your adulterous deeds to the world and I will expo-se what you do in your office with your female bankers to everyone, I will ruin your reputation and I will go to any length to make sure you lose your job. I have proofs of most of the dirty things that we did in be-d, don’t dare me”.
