Episode 17
EMILY POV
“Emily?” I heard Harry call but I ignored and kept running.
He was catching up on me and I wanted to increase my pace but damn! these stupid heels, they wouldn’t let me.
Soon, he caught me and held me.
“Emily.. plea-se!” He said but I snatched my hands away from his.
I feel too angry to say any thing.
I turned but he held me back.
“plea-se Emily….I can explain”
I elbowed his stomach and he let out a slight gro-an .
“Go ahead… Explain the reason why you had to lie! tell me… That our relationsh!pwas also a lie uh! Tell me that you never really loved me.” I said as tears filled my eyes.
“Yo.. you betrayed me, you lied to me.i can’t believe I fell in love with my own boss. Tell me… Why did you go into a relationsh!pwith me when you know you’d still get married to Susan. Why did you tell me you love me!” I said in tears.
“Because I really do.. I really love you”
“Shut up! you don’t have to tell me another lie” I yelled.
“It isn’t a lie. I had to Disguise myself so I won’t get married to the wrong person. Put yourself in my shoes Emily. if I hadn’t done that, would I have know how horrible Susan is?” He said and wanted to hold me but I moved back and pas-sed him a glare.
“look Emily, I don’t regret what I did because throu-gh that plan I met you. You showed me what true love is. You loved me irregardless of my status and that’s one thing I cherish” He said and I began to calm down.
He’s kinda right though!
I can’t imagine what would have happened if he got married to Susan.
That would be hell!
“But you said you would push throu-gh with the engagement?’ I asked.
“Yes I said that. But not with Susan!” He said and I felt relieved.
“Why didn’t you tell me! Now I didn’t get you any gift for your birthday” I said.
“At first I didn’t think it was necessary. When I realized how I’ve fallen for you, I was scared I was going to hurt you. I’m sorry I had to be the reason for your tears. As for birthday gift, You’re the best birthday pres£nt ever” He said and I smiled.
“Promise me you won’t lie to me!”
“Never ever! not even in this lifetime or in the afterlife” he said
“Come here kitten!” He said and pu-ll-ed me into a hvg.
Just then, we heard sounds of people cl@pping.
It was Mr & Mrs Kenwood, Including Nanny Maria.
“Emily my dear! I’m sorry I had to lie to you as well. I just had to do it for this big headed grandson of mine” She said and hit Harry on the head.
“It’s okay nanny Maria… Sorry! granny I un-derstand” I said and she smiled.
“I think I prefer Mansion granny. I kinda missed that”
“Does it mean what you told me, about your whole family was a lie?” I asked
“Let’s call it a midday story. I just had to say the first thing g that c@m£ to my mind” She said.
“You’re such a good actress granny!” I said and we all laughed.
“We’re glad, you c@m£ into our son’s life Emily” Mr Kenwood said.
“Thank goodness it wasn’t Susan! I never really liked her. Welcome to the family Emily” Mrs Kenwood said and pu-ll-ed me into a hvg.
“You who-re!” We heard Susan scream.
She ran to me and pu-ll-ed me by my hair.
“How dare you steal my fiance!’
I summoned all the courage I had and pushed her away.
“I didn’t steal him away from you. You pushed him away with your greed!” I yelled back at her.
she stood up and wanted to attack me but Darry intervened.
“I haven’t la-id a f!nger on you because I don’t do that to women. I’ve always endured the insult you give me and my woman but not anymore! The next time you do, you wouldn’t like what you get” Harry said and I smiled.
wow! I like the sound of that!
I haven’t seen him this serious!
“I’m supposed to be your fiance not her! plea-se… We’re engaged.”
wait, Did Susan just beg!
“Susan! C’mon let’s go” two elderly people ran to her.
“Don’t tell me to” She yelled and pushed the woman down.
“You’re my parents! You’re supposed to be supporting me!”
I g@sped and quic-kly went to help her.
“Thank you” She said and I smiled.
She looked at Susan and walked to her facing her before landing a deafening sl@p on her cheek.
Aiish!
“How dare you push your own mother! Is this how you’ve become?” She said.
“I’m your daughter mom!” Susan snapped.
“God forbid that I give birth to a girl like you” She said.
“Honey!” The man called.
“Don’t try to st©p me this time. it’s high time we tell her the truth. Let her know that this lifestyle she’s living is a borrowed one” She said.
“What truth… Tell me!” Susan yelled.
With the way Susan always yells, I bet she’ll suffer from mouth or throat so-re one day.
“You aren’t our real daughter! We only adopted you and gave you this lifestyle. We treated you like our own flesh and blood even with how ill mannered you are. Whoever thought you this behavior did a very bad job. Come back to your s-en-ses Susan and we will welcome you with open arms”. She said and turned to Harry’s parents.
“We’ll take our leave now. Sorry for the inconveniences. Honey let’s go!” She said and walked away with her husband leaving Susan in shock.
wait… Susan’s an adopted child?.
For up to a minute, Susan didn’t move. I Know she’s in great shock.
Imagine being in her shoes.
I kinda feel sorry for her!
“Let’s go in baby!” Harry said waking me up from my thoughts.
“But Susan!” I whispered back to him.
“What a loving girlfriend I’ve got. You still care about her!. Don’t worry, She can take care of herself. Let’s just give her space” Harry said and nodded.
“Let’s go!” I said and we walked away.
I turned and saw Susan walking away at a slow sad pace.

Episode 18
SUSAN POV
I walked slowly out of the Kenwood Mansion.
I feel hurt and embarras-sed!
After all I portrayed!
Tears rolled down my cheeks!
I walked to my car and drove off with only one place in mind.
The bridge!
After a while, I parked the car and c@m£ down. I walked and stood at the edge.
Thankfully, The bridge is awfully quiet today.
The scene of Harry disgracing me in public.
How I spent my time ruining my chances by acting proud and arrogant.
I’m so foolish! How did I not know that he isn’t the real Harry!.
And my parents?
“You aren’t our real daughter. You were only adopted!”
“You’re on a borrowed lifestyle!”.
All these words kept repla-ying in my head.
“Aaaaaargh!!” I screamed so loudly to the extent my throat began to hurt a little.
I bur-st into tears.
Emily got what she wanted! She stole everything away from me.
It’s best if I kill myself. At least I’ll be free from their mockery.
I closed my eyes, re-ady to Jump off the bridge.
I felt myself being pu-ll-ed back!
“Miss! Are you okay?” i stared at the person that pu-ll-ed me.”
“Why did you pu-ll me back!” I snapped.
“Hey! I didn’t mean any harm! I just didn’t want you to harm yourself!” He said
“And who said I nee-ded help. What more is there for me?” I said with a cracked voice.
“Miss? I can see you’re de-eply hurt. You can’t pour and vent all you anger in me! I wouldn’t mind lending you a listing ear” He said and I stared at him.
“How..How can i, Susan Peters be an adopted child? How can the Almighty Susan Peters like on a borrowed lifestyle”. I yelled in tears.
“All this years! I’ve lived my life like a goddess. I thought I’ll get everything I want. My greed and foolishness got the better of me” I said.
“What’s there to live on? The lifestyle I thought was rightfully mine doesn’t even belong to me! I can’t bear to face anyone after all the humiliation”.
“And you think Killing yourself is the best solution?” He asked.
“Yes! This is the only way I can think off!” I snapped.
“Instead, why don’t you apologize to those you’ve offended”
“Never!”
“Think about it miss! I don’t know what might have happened but look de-eply into it and try to figure out your wrongs and apologize. That’s the only remedy”. He said.
“Sucide isn’t the only option. Correct your Wrongs!” he said.
I bur-st into tears!
Undoubtedly, this whole thing is my fault!.
All my fault!
If I hadn’t behaved so sas-sy and rude, then probably I’d be the one in Emily’s shoes!.
Can they forgive me?
“Can I take you home?” He offered.
“No! I can drive myself”
“Are you sure?” he asked and I nodded.
“Then I’ll drive behind you to make sure you’re safe!” He said and I looked behind him.
I walked into my car.

I looked back and he waved at me and I reciprocated before he drove off.
I pla-yed with my f!ngersfeeling a little bit nervous!.
Right now, I’m outside our Mansion. I can’t go in.
Just then the door opened..
“Honey, we have to find Susan.. She isn’t…” I heard mom say as she c@m£ out but st©pped.
Dad c@m£ out also.
I looked at them and they stared right back at me!.
“Uhm… I’m sorry for everything. I thought I had everything I wanted. I thought I could be in control. I didn’t realize I was hurting each one of you. I’m sorry for disrespecting you after all you’ve done for me. I didn’t know I was only on a borrowed lifestyle.” I said and bowed my head.
“Susan! You..”
“I know, I’ll leave. I’ll go far away so you won’t be ashamed of calling me your daughter” I said.
“Susan!” Mom called.
“You’re still our daughter Even if you were adopted” Dad said.
“We just wanted you to come back to your s-en-ses and realize your mistakes. That doesn’t mean we hate you. C’mon, give mama and dada a hvg” Mom said and I didn’t even realize the tear that rolled down my cheek.
“C’mon, let’s go in. We don’t want dinner to get cold” Dad said and we all walked in.

“Sorry ma’am!… I didn’t mean to” The maid apologized as she spilled the jui-ce.
Right now, we’re at the dining!
“It’s okay, Go!” I said calmly to the maid and she looked at me surprised. Even mom and Dad did.
“What? I said leave” I said and the maid nodded walking away.
Normally, I would yell and sl@p every maid for their silly mistakes but that’s all in the past now. Once bitten Twice shy!
“Keep it up dear!” Dad said and I nodded smiling.
“Uhm.. Susan? You still have to apologise to someone!” Mom said.
“Emily?” I asked.
“Not just to Emily but to the whole Kenwood family” She said and I nodded.
“I will do that tomorrow!!” I said
“Alright dear!” Mom said and we continued with our meal.
I have to do this !
HARRY POV
“We’ll take our leave now son!” Mom said as I hvgged all of them.
“Alright mom!”
“Emily dear! Take care” Nanny Maria said as they walked out.
The p@rty has ended and right now it’s just remaining Emily and I.
“So tell me, how did you manage to make me fall in love with you?” Emily asked placing her hands round my n£¢k.
“that question should be the other way round. How did I manage to fall for a crazy girl like you?” I asked brushing myl-ips against hers.
“Remember when I told you your scent is that of money? Like you smell expensive?”
“Yeah! I thought you were gonna bite me” I said and we laughed.
“How about I do that now!” She said bringing herl-ips close to mine.
“I wouldn’t mind!” I said smiling.
Slowly, ourl-ips met and we started in a perfect slow rythm.
Our slow k!ssturned into an aggressive one.
“I nee-d you Emily. I want to feel myself inside of you” I said as we broke the k!ss.
“I nee-d you too Harry! I want to feel my man”
She said and that got me. I carried her as we rushed to the room.
