Episode 37
Damian
I was in my room thinking about Nora alre-ady, I wondered if I had continued with my cold nature maybe I would have lost her for good.
The only fear I have now is that she shouldn’t take me for granted when I love I love, and once have the hate that’s all, my life is very simple.
I still have the green snake to handle, am happy I was able to express my self to my mom and let her know how unhappy I was all this while because of her relationsh!pwith the green snake, I hate the fact he was having my mom and drugs and all but am happy she is st©pping them when I told her I admired she and dad’s love when he was still alive.
She realizes so many things and we also plan to visit dad’s grave soon.
I picked up my phone and dialed Nora’s, number.
“Hi babe”, I said to her.
” Hey love, hope you cool?”, she asked.
“Yes am fine, just that am missing you alre-ady”, I said on the phone.
” Sorry mr you won’t see me till like three weeks later”, she bluffs.
“I know you can’t stay three days without seeing me so st©p the pretense love”, I replied.
” You j£rk”, she added.
“I wished to ask you if you will be free tomorrow for dinner at my place, my mom wants you to have dinner with us?”, I asked her.
“Wow, really, I miss having a conversation with your mom, I won’t miss the dinner, I will come, oh”, she st©pped talking.
” Hold on a second, you mean you have met my mom before, talked with her properly dinner or lunch too, tell what am missing now”, I asked in surprise.
“Well, my love, am not telling you anything related to females talk, except you wish to tell me you change your gender from male to female”, she tea-sed.
” That’s disgusting, anyway I will found out from my mom, but all the same I miss you and I can’t wait to see you tomorrow”, I said to her.
“Okay babe, I love you, tomorrow then”, she replied before ending the call. I wore a smile on my face.
I decided to complete one more task by visiting the one person who advised me to admit my feelings, my mom friend the nurse that helped me get the job with Mr. Addison.
At the clinic, I waited for her to finish before she c@m£ to meet me at where I was sitting and we took a walk.
” I really want to thank you for the advice you gave to me, it worked out perfectly well for me, though I lost hope when I got rejected at first”, I told her.
“Well am happy my Damian has a man up to that standard, you know we ladies have to form a little when we know at the end of the day we are going to give in, so tell me is she beautiful,” she asked.
“Yes she is damn pretty, you might know her, Mr. Addison’s daughter”, I said to her placing my hands in my pocket.
” Oh Nora but be careful, don’t break his daughter’s heart or you end up losing your leg” she teases and we both started laughing ha-rd .
“So tell me Damian, have you both gone to see a movie together, outing, catch fun, we ladies love that”, she said.
” Not exactly”, I said.
“Well what kind of a b©yfri£ndare you, you nee-d to do that okay, make her feel special, you know most people believe high school love ends after graduation and prom night because when you are in college you become far and it breaks, but I believe you love her, so make her feel special and don’t rush her if she is not re-ady, you know what I mean right”, I nodded to her question.
I really appreciate her advice and all and I will put them into action to become a better person for Nora’s sake.
Nora
The girls screamed in excitement when I told them Damian’s mom invited me for dinner.
” You damn lucky dear, am happy for you, what a nice combination, Mr cold face and Miss noisy, I can’t forget that tag”, Piper said smiling.
“Yeah I can’t forget that as well, so tell me, Nora, what are you putting on to have dinner with his family,” Ivy asked.
“That’s true, I haven’t even thought of that”, I said to them.
” You are so silly and you know that, let’s see what we have in your closet”, Piper added.
At the end of the day, I finally find a beautiful dress to put on.

Arriving at Damian’s place, he couldn’t st©p looking at me and complimenting me on how good-looking I am, such a sweet b©yfri£ndI got.
” Good evening ma”, I greeted Damian’s mom and she hvgged me.
“Welcome my child, you look so beautiful and thanks for coming, come sit dear, I miss our conversation”, she said and Damian still looking lost.
” Same here ma”.
“Now let’s enjoy our dinner”
We all ate dinner together and talked about so many things, we started laughing, we were more like a family and the flow was easy because his mom his very simple and easy to talk with.
“Thanks for coming dear, hope we can do this again, let me leave you with the man of the house now, I can see jealousy written all over him”, his mom said.
” Come on mom”, Damian said.
“Okay mom, goodnight”, I can’t st©p laughing.
When she left, Damian said,” Get over here” then he k!$$£d me.
“Have been dying for this” he said.
“You a j£rk” I replied blu-shing.
“We see a movie tomorrow, hope you cool with that?”, he asked and I said yes.

Damian and I went out together, we went to the cinema to see a movie.
We went to the pizza shop, took fried chicken together, went to the ice cream shop, it was fun this one week and we talked about so many things.
I told him how I will love to be a nurse and he told me he will love to re-ad business administration.
It was beautiful and lovely to be with him.

“Let’s capture her or better still capture him but no harm should come to him after which we get here, pay the doctor a hvge sum of money to wipe off her memory or anything for her to forget about the man I love” Then she left.
I picked up my call and said,” Change of plans, kill him at sight”.

Damian
At the place where I do my p@rt-time job, I was busy attending to customers with a smile on my face, even more, ladies kept on coming to get stuff because of me, they just want to see my smiling face and that’s all.
We made more sales today than ever before one of the ladies even suggested I go into modeling but I don’t have that in mind.
“Hey Damian what happened to you?”, my colleague at work asked me.
” What do you mean what happened to me, am perfectly okay James”, I said to him.
“Are you for real Damian, you were smiling today that your cold face didn’t reveal, even your cold nature is not there as always, I know something must have happened to you or I miss some stuff, come on tell me man”, he asked?
I couldn’t believe I was this cold at work,” Well I have a girl now”, I said with a smile.
“OMG, you mean you have a girlfriend now, this is sweet, I nee-d to meet her and thank her for bringing out the original you “, he teases.
” You are so funny, plea-se can you cover up for me tomorrow, I don’t think I will be coming”, I asked him.
“Sure, you know I always got your back bro, just don’t go back to your cold nature”, he said to me.

I had to leave work on time just to meet up with Nora at the Pizza shop.
” Hi babe, sorry for keeping you waiting”, I apologize to her and she accepted by k!ss!ngme.
“So how was work dear”, she asked me with a S-xy look.
” Work is fine and today is the best day at work for me, you nee-d to see the way girls were coming in to get something because of me, your man is handsome right?”, I asked her not knowing what I just said made her angry.
“You were hanging out with females, am lost my appetite for pizza, am off”, she said standing up and leaving when I went after her.
” Come on babe, don’t tell me you are jealous, you know you owe my heart alre-ady, I love you Nora”, I said to her hoping she un-derstands.
“What if you are a flir-t?”, she asked
” Well I know full well I don’t flir-t with ladies, ladies are the ones after me just like you in the first place”, I said, she started hitting me while I ran, it was fun too.

“Tomorrow the test scripts will be shared, am so nervous and the exam is fast approaching, just like a dream we are graduating from high school soon,” she said holding my hands.
“Don’t worry Nora, we both are going to pas-s” I said to her
“Well okay but one more thing, am still worried about us, I heard couples in high school always break up once they get to college”, she said.
” I promise you Nora, am not leaving you for any reason okay! I love you, we are not them, we are we, we can make this work and lead to something good”, I said to her.
She placed a smile on her face and I complimented her.

Getting home, I thought mom was alre-ady fast asleep, instead, she said, “Love is a wonderful thing”, I know she is indirectly talking to me now.

At school the next day, Ellie tried flir-ting with me as usual but I just snub her, Nora finished talking with her friends while we entered clas-s together holding hands.
The teacher c@m£ in and said some encouraging stuff to us before sharing the test scripts with us and reminding us the exam is at the corner that we should be prepared and also wished us luck for the college we are applying for.
We pas-sed the test, Nora hvgged me.
Normally, I do sit in an empty clas-s alone to re-ad but not anymore, I have Nora by me.
We have two exams to prepare for, the exam to enter college and the exam to leave high school for good.

Am so excited about everything and I thank God for giving someone like Damian to be by me, truly we are made for each other.
I decided to visit my father at his office when I bu-mp into Xavier at the company.
“Hi Xavier, am sorry, I wasn’t looking at the place I was going”, I said not knowing what to do next, I pla-yed with his emotions and that’s bad, what if he snubs me now, has he forgiven me yet. I feel so horrible now.
” It’s nothing dear, don’t apologize okay, Nora you know I care about you, why don’t you give us a chance, I can make you happy,” he said and I felt so uncomfortable.
“Thanks, Xavier but you should know by now, Damian and I are in a relationsh!p, am happy with it, I got to go now, dad is waiting for me now”, I said to him.
” Nora you will be mine”, he said before leaving.

I can’t believe father, he kept asking me some questions like if Damian is my b©yfri£nd, he said he noticed how happy I am these days and how am always blu-shing.

At school, I developed a sudden illness and I felt down.
“Don’t tell me you are missing Damian dear, he will soon be here”, Piper said laughing at me.
“When will I have true love so I can fall ill too”, Ivy added.
” Silly girls.”
While walking with the girls, I twisted my ankle and it hurts.
I bec@m£ so worried, “Damian should have been here by now”, I said to the girls.
” Maybe something his holding back that’s why he might come late, just don’t think too much and call him”.
I kept on calling his number but got no response at all from him, now I bec@m£ more scared.
A student rushed to us still breathing heavily and said, “Something bad has happened to Damian”.
We bec@m£ scared and I asked,” What happened to him”, the girls asked the same questions.
“He was found around the school premises lifeless and he is been taking to the school clinic and the special doctor is coming now to operate on him.”, she said.
We ran to the place and I didn’t know when h0t tears left my eyes, seeing my heart in a bad shape, he was unconscious and had lots of gunsh0t wounds.
” Who did this to my love”, then I fainted cause I couldn’t hold myself.
