The waiter brou-ght my order of pork and lychee salad with a plate of kimchi ramen (a Ko-rean noodles) for Kurt
“You sure you won’t try this ramen? “He asks as he di-p his chopsticks into it.
“No, thanks. I’ll pas-s. “I said and unwra-p my order then I made a delicious sound just to spike him. He looked at me in a funny way and with the way he svƧkthe noddles with the chopstick made me laugh out loud.
“I’m telling you Tina, you’re missing alot here. You think pork and lychee salad is considered food here in NY? Honey, start eating good food. “He said again.
“Thank you so much food technologist but I’ll stick to my salad. What is that thing on it? ” I know what it is but I’m only trying to tease him. He gave me a funny stare thereby ma-king me to laugh.
“So, you don’t work for Quezito? ”
“I used to when I just finished college but I had to stĀ©p since it wasn’t my field and it’s kinda boring. ”
“So, you’ll rather stay with your friend all day than work for your family’s business? You’re weird. “He said and continue eating.
“Everyone do say that but I have my own dreams and Quezito isn’t p@rt of it. Is WELLERS p@rt of your plans? “I ask him.
“p@rtially, yes. Because I love what I do there and Dad tends to put WELLERS on me so yes, WELLERS is p@rt of my plans. “He said.
We continue eating while I steal glances at him ,I want him to commence another conversation or should I ask him about Tess? I’m really afraid to ask maybe because I’m scared of the answer he’ll give me.
What if he tells me that they’re alre-ady together?
I know what to do. I’ll ask Tess first and if they’re together, she’ll br@g about it and tell me right away.

“I waited for you. Have you forgotten our arrangement? “He said to her.
I look at Tina for an explanation but she didn’t even spare me a glance. She’s just looking into the guy’s eyes.
So all along she has a bĀ©yfriĀ£ndand she’s allowing me to waste my time on her?
“Oh, hi! “He stretched his hand for a handshake and I took it after staring at him for a while.

“If you don’t mind, we’ll leave now. “He said and helped her up. I watch as he led her out of the restaurant placing his hand on her w@!st.
I shouldn’t have hoped on her.
It’s true what they say, there’s no love at first sight.

What the hell just happened there!?
I sl@p his hand away from my w@!st. We’re near my car and I’m leaning on it while he’s facing me.
“What is your problem really? Are you a bad luck or you’re just created to frustrate me?! “I yell at him.
“Is he the one? Is he the reason why you’ve been ignoring me and even left me at Vera’s house? “He ask.

I’ve been trying to call him but he’s not picking up and even when he manages to pick, he’ll tell me he’s busy and will call back but he never did.
What have I done?
And now he’s avoiding me.

“Good morning Madam. “She has been receiving greetings from the gate and she’s in a haste because she’s supposed to meet the WELLERS today to sign the deal and now she’s late. Well, it’s not like she did it on purpose though, she had to drop the twins off to school because she wanted to talk to them especially Mirrah whom has been acting strange lately, she did talk to them but none of them say anything to her and she’s hoping Mirrah hasn’t fallen in love with some guy because she knows how teenage girls behave and she’s thankful Val never had any relationsh!pas she was growing up.
“You’re here, MA,”the secretary and Lydia went to sit on the office chair switching on the l@ptĀ©p.
“Where are they? “Lydia ask.
“The CEO is the one here ma, and he has been waiting for you close to an hour now. ”
Lydia let out a sigh then told her secretary to let him in while she try doing one or two things.
She heard the door flung open and she alre-ady knew it’s him. The CEO of WELLERS.
“plea-se, sit. “She fixed her gaze on the l@ptĀ©p. She felt the person didn’t take any step and so she raised her head to behold Samuel, standing staring at her with mouth agape and she gently stood up.
“This isn’t you right? “He ask. He still didn’t take a step and she just try to process everything not to break down in front of him, not to show him that she has missed him alot.
“How come you own this firm? “He asked with a confuse look.
“Sam, it’s been 23years and you still look thesame. “He takes a step closer.
“Don’t insult me, Lydia, “his voice was a little high.
“Hey,plea-se, we don’t tolerate nuisance here I beg you. ”
She sits down, cross her legs and raise up her che-st and she also makes sure to keep a smiling face.
“plea-se, sit let’s discuss business. Seems like you nee-d my help to keep your company alive. ”
She smile at him and he slowly sits down.

“Let’s stick to business Mr. Wellers, and plea-se, let’s make it official. ”
He clears his throat and then drop the file on her table still looking at her.
When his wife told him that she saw Lydia and she was looking rich, he wasn’t really expecting this rich and powerful that they’ll nee-d her help for WELLERS.

Push the file to him.

“Mrs. Montez. Let’s stay formal plea-se. “She stands up and stretch her hand toward him.
“Nice doing business with you Mr. Weller and I’m sorry it had to come to this. ”
He also stand up holding the file.
“Just because we nee-d your help now does not mean you treat us like trash. We can still rise again with or without your help and I hope you haven’t forgotten the law of karma; what goes around, comes… ”
“..around. And now it’s my turn to make you suffer until you beg for a merciful death and don’t worry, now that fate brou-ght us together we’re going to make each other’s lives a living hell. Stay back and watch Mr. Weller, cause Lydia Omoh is tailing behind you.

She gently sits down and sniffs as tears roll down her cheeks. She thought she has heal after all these years but the sight of him brings everything back and she hated herself for been a fool for love.
She won’t let her children make thesame mistake and what she tells Samuel, that’s what she’s going to do. She will make him crawl, leave him in poverty and he will have no choice than to beg her for his 3square meal.

“I heard. You should go get it. ” she said and climb down then went into the kitchen. I climb down to open the door and there is Alex, standing by the door holding flowers.
“I’m sorry. “He said and stretch the flower to me.

“I was a jĀ£rk, Val, and I’m here to apologize for what I did. I shouldn’t have k!$$Ā£d you like that. “He said and I place my both hands on my w@!st as I feel rage boiling in.
“So now, just because you’re looking apologetic and holding flowers I’ll just forget what you did? Alex, you acted very irresponsible. ”
“I know. Let me make it up to you. ”
