You might be wondering how she was able to call crowd to her second birthday p@rty. Even her parents do not un-derstand the reason why she wants another birthday p@rty. She has requested to hold the p@rty in a hall but they had refused been that they know the kind of daughter they have and in order to put an eye on her they held the p@rty in their compound.
“Excuse me Mum and Dad. “She went into the crowd leaving Ashley and Samuel.
“I forgot to tell you the person I saw last week at the mall. “Ashely began. Even if she knew that she’ll make him remember her, it’ll still be better to tell him and she knew that he doesn’t have feelings for her any more.
” Who did you see? “He ask her as he took a sip from his glas-s cu-p.
“Lydia. It’s Lydia whom I saw. She looks like the prĀ©st!tĆ»tĀ£she is. “Ashley said and Samuel pretended not to be affected.
Of course he miss her but he’s not going to admit it as not to upset Ashley and besides Lydia is his past and should remain his past.
“I thought she’s no longer in NY and what’s she doing in a mall? She can’t afford to shop in a mall right? “Samuel said.
“Of course I thought that too until she told me she owns the mall. ”
“That’s impossible! ”
“I’m telling you Sam, that woman is an opportunist. Only God knows the innocent man she scre-wed to get that kind of money. ” Ashley said but Samuel is not re-ady to believe that.
“Even with that Ash, she can’t be that wealthy to own a mall. I know how big and filled the mall you’re talking about is. ”
Val Pov š
I step into the p@rty ground and oh my God!! There’s a lot of people. Where did this girl know all these people huh?
I walk into the p@rty watching my step as I bu-mp into someone.
“Sorry sir. ” I apologized and raised my head to look at him.
“Who are you? “He asked scanning me from head to toe.
“Oh dad! “She c@mĀ£ to us. So, he’s her Dad. Nice, I just met her dad.
“Meet my life saver. ”
Yea, she didn’t know my name cause I didn’t tell her.
‘Val. Val Montez. “I stretch my hand for a handshake and he took it still looking at me. I wonder why he can’t take his eyes off me or is Mitchie’s dad a flir-t?
“She’s the one I told you about that helped me run away from those thvgs that wanted to r@pĀ£ me. ” She lied and I coughed immediately.

This girl must really be a great liar.
“Wow, Val, thanks for saving her.People like you are rare in this country. If you hadn’t showed up when you did, only God knows what would have happened to her. Thank you so much. “Her dad said.
“It’s nothing sir and I believe anyone would have done what I did. “Except of course getting into a motor accident for a drun!k
He later let go of my hand as a woman I presume to be his wife walk up to us.
“She’s my mom. ”
I greeted her and with the way she responded to my greetings, I felt like insulting her that minutes.
“Where’s Kurt? I can’t seem to find him. ” The woman said. I am prepared to meet him but I hope Mitchie won’t have to rob it on my face.
“I’ll go call him. ” She said and dragged me away from her parents. I’m not even comfortable around those people.
“Wait here let me go and call Kurt, I’m sure you guys will blend well. ” She said and left.
How on earth I’m I suppose to blend with her bĀ©yfriĀ£nd?
Should I just run away?

“Hey.” I felt a light tap on my shoulder and I turn to behold him in person. Yes that’s right. Kurt, my crush with his girlfriend.
“Kurt, meet Val; The lady I told you saved me from an accident. ”
Oh, so, she can tell her bĀ©yfriĀ£ndeverything but not her own parents? How delusional can she be?
I stretch my hand for a shake and he took it looking at me in a funny way.
If only he wasn’t d@t!ngher I would have said he’s trying to flir-t with me.
“And Val, meet Kurt, my brother. ”
It dropped like a bombshell as I quic-kly withdrew my hand from his.
“Wait, you mean he’s your brother? “I asked to be sure.
“Yeah.”
“Like your biological brother? Same Mom and Dad? ”
“Yes. Is something wrong? ” He asked and I bur-st into laughter.
I’m laughing at my own stupidness!
All along they’re siblings and I’ve been killing myself over nothing.
“I’m so sorry I thought you guys are couples. ” I said laughing at myself and they also joined me.
It’s really stupid of me. And here I am hating Mitchie cause I thought she was the girlfriend of my crush not knowing that she is just his little sis.

[Restaurant]
Adrian and Stace are sitting facing each other, Adrian dressed in cooperate looking super h0t and Stace is clad in a blue dinner go-wn looking all beautiful and Adrian couldn’t take his eyes off her. Everytime, she catches him stealing glances at her, he’ll shyly turn away while she’ll just smile and continue eating but then she caught him this time and he didn’t bother turning away, he kept staring ma-king her uncomfortable.
Stace looked down hisl-ips and wish she can just k!sshim at least have hisl-ips on hers but it’s just indecent and she’s not going to do that. Her grandpa had always tell her to keep her dignity no matter what and that’s what she’ll do.
“Your food is getting cold. ” She said to him. She managed to bring him back to earth as he was lost in her beauty and he ran his f!ngersin his dark hair and bit his lowerl-ip.
‘Why the hell is he doing that?! ‘He look so cute whenever he does that and she might lost it.
“Can I ask you a question? ” He ask her.
“Go ahead. ” She said and continue to eat.
“How do you feel been with me? ”
She gave him that ‘I don’t un-derstand’ kind of look and he cleared his throat.
“What I mean is, me. You. Here. Alone? Don’t you feel kind of scared or something? ”
“No I’m not. Why? I know I’m safe here with you. ” She said and flash him a flir-ty smile.
What is wrong with this girl? Why is she caging him in her web like this?
“Thank you. It means a lot. ” He said smiling.
And they continued eating. Minutes later, after the meal, they both left the restaurant and stood by the road side waiting for the available cab that’ll convey them home.
“Thanks for the treat Adrian. ” She stretch her hand for a hand shake. He stare at it for some seconds before pu-lling her closer to himself for an embr@ce and he held her so ti-ght.
“Adrian.” She called silently still in his arms.
“Let’s just stay like this for a while plea-se. ” He let out a h0t breathe.
Stace smile and wra-p her hands round his nĀ£Ā¢k and she rest her head on his shoulder.
Val POV ā
This is really stupid!
Whenever I thought about it, I laugh myself and I can’t wait to convey the message to Vera and I’m sure that she’ll be happy for me.
We talked after Mitchie left and he asked for my number which I gladly gave me
“Adrian isn’t home. ”
I lift up my head to see Mirrah walking down the stairs. She’s standing in front of me in her nightie wearing a head net.
Sweet twin sister that can’t sleep because her twin brother isn’t home. She’s so cute š
“Mom isn’t home either. ” I said as I check my phone for any message from Mr. Cut… I mean, Kurt.
“But, did he mention where he was going? ”
I looked at her, want to get angry but then, it’s not her fault. Who knows what she’s feeling inside. Thank God I’m not a twin.
“He said he’s meeting with a friend at a res…
The door crack open and he walks in smiling and looking all happy. I wonder what I’m missing among my siblings.
” Adrian, this is past nine.
“Hey miss, I thought that was my line. ”
She takes a step backward. I turn to him and he’s alre-ady sitting pu-lling off his shoes.
“You didn’t tell me you’ll stay this long Mister. ”
“It was fun and I never bothered about the time. ”
Lolz. Believe me, if my mom is around, he won’t have given me an answer like that. Maybe he’ll be pleading or lie to escape further interrogation.
“So, did everything go as planned? ”
This time, my gaze is fixed on Mirrah, seems to me like she knows something and Adrian is lying to me but hey, I have my own issues to deal with so Mom can handle them herself.

Before he completes whatever he wants to say she hissed and climb up.
“What’s going on? ”
“Nothing. Goodnight Val. ” He said and followed holding his shoes. These kids with their drama.
A text message pops in my phone and it was from Vera telling me she’s almost at our house. Few minutes later, she arrived and we hvgged then sit on the couch..
“Mom hasn’t come home yet? ” She asked.
“She’s busy at the office. You know Mom is a workaholic. ”
“And the twins? ”
“Upstairs settling whatever issues they’re having. I’m having this feeling that Adrian has a love choice. ”
“What?! ” She laughs
“Wow, that’s new. Anyway, Alex is in town. ”
I processed the name and recalled him. Alex, the same guy who says he won’t leave me until I say yes to him.
Oh boy, this is not going to be funny.
