Chapter 3
Frank’s POV
“Do you have a girlfriend?” She asked again since I opened my mouth wi-dely and no word c@m£ out of it.
“I… ” I stammered.
“Frankie! ” I heard my girlfriend’s voice from up the libr@ry the building.
The libr@ry is a three-sto-rey building
I sheepishly smiled at her.
“This is the libr@ry building, let’s go in” I told Paulina.
“Yeah, why not” She said and we climbe-d the stairs and soon got to the hall filled with few students and shelfs of books.
“Frank” We bu-mped into Angela whom was holding a book (novel). She kinda frowned when she saw me with Paulina. We were not just together but holding hands too!
“Who is she Frank? ” Angela asked.
“Paulina” I just said.
“Hi, I’m Paulina. I’m a newebie” Paulina introduced herself.
“Oh Okay! ” Angela taking her gaze off her and took them (her gaze) to our hands which was still interlocked. I quic-kly separated my hand from hers and stood like a soldier.
“Won’t you tell me who you are too? I alre-ady told you my name” Paulina said to Angela.
“I am Angela” Angela said and looked at me. I kept mute. “I am .. ” I’m very sure she wanted to say she is my girlfriend so I quic-kly interrupted her.
“She is the school liberian” I quic-kly said.
“Oh, nice to meet you Angela” Paulina said smiling at her and Angela smiled til.
OMG! Two charming smile and one is more charming.
“Is that Paradise on earth? “Paulina suddenly asked after seeing the book she held.
“Yeah?”
“Oh my God, I’ve been longing to re-ad that novel, I heard it is super interesting. Can I lend a novel right away? ” Paulina asked.
“No, not yet” Angela barked kinda harshfully.
“Why? ”
“I would love to know you better first” She gave a eye roll and Paulina frowned sadly.
“Frankie, would you join me, my big bu-tt hit one of the movable shelfs and all the books fell, littered. Funny enough, I’m too lazy to bend and pick them up” Angela said go me.
“Big bu-tt my foot! ” I heard Paulina murmured to herself.
“I… ” I wanted to speak but Paulina interrupted me.
“No, he won’t” Paulina half-yelled and held my hand.
Little did she know that, Angela is my girlfriend.
“He is busy as you can see, Busy with me. The principal appointed him to take me on a tour around the school” Paulina said as she pu-ll-ed me to herself.
“Ye..ah, she..i..s.. ri..ght” I stammered, confused.
“Are you blind, deaf or dumb or all? ” Angela yelled.
I wonder who she was referring to, Me or Paulina? besides, I have never seen her so angry.
“Because if you add not blind, you would perambulate around the school periphery yourself with the aid of the instructions scribbled on the doors. My own Frank cannot be your tour guide and if you insist you want a tour guide, meet one random guy” Angela said and pu-ll-ed me by the other hand.
Trouble in paradise, Paulina held my left hand while Angela was holding my right hand.
Paulina rolled her eyes … Aw! She’s more beautiful when she roll her eyes 😂
Before she would throw her own words at Angela, I c@m£ into the story or unless these two here would fight… Over me.
“Chill Angela, she is just a new student” I said.
“So? Being a new student, does it cut off her eyes? ” Angela said.
“I am not blind” Paulina spelled. “Frankie, Francis or whatever your name is, it’s left for you to choose one of us, it’s either you agree to help her pick up the books caused by her bu-ttless or you follow me and continue to show me around the school” Paulina said and I was dumbfounded.
“I don’t believe just any girl would make you do the work of a servant” Paulina added, sm-irked and folded her hand waiting for me to make a pick as if I were pla-ying dot and line game.
“Did I hear you call me just any girl? ” Angela flin-ched.
Ah! There she goes.
“See who was calling me ‘deaf'” Paulina said.
Then Angela faced me and said: “Frank, won’t you say anything? This newbie here is giving me tse tse flies and you stood there saying nothing? ”
Mehn, what will I say? What should I do?
Angela gave a weird laugh and pu-ll-ed me closer to herself in such a way that my left hand got re-leased from Paulina’s hand.
“Well, Miss Newbie. You are a fool and I won’t be sorry I did called you that” Angela said. Boom!
“I, whom you called just any girl is not. I am Frank’s girlfriend ” She spelled one by one – syllable by syllable.
I was… I don’t know.
“Fra.. nk” Paulina stammered my name, she was shocked.
“Shocked? You see, I am not just any girl but the girlfriend of the school s£nior prefect. While you standing here, is actually the just-any-girl” Angela concluded boldly.
Paulina stared at me with a look to kill.
“Get lost! ” Angela screamed at her… It made students rush to see what’s going on between the three of us.
Paulina didn’t say anything, she kept gazing at me with that look then turned to leave.
Angela won!
“Paulina! ” I screamed her name, re-leased my hand from Angela and ran after her.
Chapter 4
Paulina’s POV
“Paulina” He screamed my name and followed me behind.
Really? He alre-ady has a girlfriend and I’ve started having feelings I’ve never had before – for him. Bad luck!
“Paulina” He caught up with me and held me by the hand.
“What? ” I barked at him “plea-se leave me” I f0rç£fully re-leased my hand.
“Listen Paulina, I… ” He obstructed me from walking further. “I wasn’t gonna lie to you that I have a girlfriend” He said.
“Oh really? ” I asked as I stood akimbo.
“Sorry” He apologized.
“Well.. I’m not upset with the fact that you have a girlfriend without telling me. It… It’s because you stood there and watch your so called girlfriend insult me to the core” I said.
“I’m sorry” He repeated now holding my two hands then I tried to put on a smile.
“Frank… Frankie? ”
Oh not again! His girlfriend is here again. I sighed as I saw her walked really fast and angrily towards us.. Frank lightly pushed me to his back then he confronted her.
“Angela, try to un-derstand. I’m doing this because the principal asked me to” He said to her.
“And the littered books? ” She asked.
“I’ll pick them up when I return”
“Oh My God, I’m going crazy. It’s not like I cannot pick the books myself, I just wanted to have some time with you, I just want you by my side” Angela said to him.
Looks like, he’s gonna pl@ythe game again, Dots and lines, pick one. He is gonna choose between the both of us once the both of us want him by our side.
“I’ll be right back Angela” He told her and pu-ll-ed me along with him then we ran – away.
I won this time, I turned to see Angela looking so despondent and downcasted. I stocked out my long and showed it to her.
Then ran along with Frank.

“Ok, we can walk now. She is not coming” Frank said and I giggled.
“You, did you just try to run away from your girlfriend with another girl” I said to him and he chuckled.
“Let’s not put it that way… I just tried to be obe-dient. To do what Mrs Megan asked me to do” He said.
Ok, so that’s why he is holding my hands all this while? I almost flin-ched.
“Let’s go” He said not even noticing I was getting upset.
I stood there like a lost puppy, staring at him from behind..
“C’mon let’s go” He said again and I reluctantly agreed for walk with him.
We paid sh0t visit to every rooms (Clas-ses and labs), I was no longer interested in it, Infact I had no interest from the very start. I just wanted to be with him.
I mean, I have never been so close to a guy, even as close as five metres. So many guys avoided me like I were a $h!t. We’ll talk about that later.
“I’m tired” I complained when Frank told me that we are heading to the junior sections.
“Let’s have a break or let’s put an end to it” I told him.
“Just as you wish your highess” He said and I kinda blu-shed.
Frank’s POV
We went to the clas-s, it was scanty. There were just few students in clas-s. Oh thank God, George and Tyler aren’t here too.
Even the few students that were here won’t mind their business most especially the guys. If she is gonna disappear only by the number of guys gazing at her, definitely she will.
We sat side by side.
“Your girlfriend is weird and harsh” She suddenly broke the short silence.
Why is she so concerned about this girlfriend stuff?
“She is not, she was just upset earlier” I told her.
“Upset or jealous? ” Paulina asked.
What’s that suppose to mean?
“One of the two or both” I said.
“But Frank.. ” She called my name softly and it made my heart raced.
I stared at her sparkling eyes, she was staring at mine which isn’t sparkling.
What did she want to say? I love you?
“I… I really want the novel I saw with Angela the other time” She said
Oh!
“I don’t know how but I hope there’s a way you could help me get it” She said slowly and sadly.
No, I don’t like that sad look.
“Anything for you dear” I said. I swear, I didn’t know when these words escaped from myl-ips.
She smiled and said “Thank you Frankie”
“Anytime” I said .
“Holy Micheal ” George’s voice echoed. He was just entered the clas-sroom when he saw us.
“Damsel, pretty, beauty, angel, I…I am speechless but I don’t want to” George cried as he c@m£ closer and held Paulina’s hand and made an attempt to plant a k!sson it.
“Her name is Paulina” I said somewhat Jealously as I st©pped him from doing what he almost did.
I noticed Paulina’s cheeks turned red.. She was blu-shing excessively.
But wait, why is she so beautiful to an extent that makes me out of my mind?
Not just me, almost all guys have gone crazy over her..
