Helen was still convinced on how she got to the cave
“you really can’t remember anything?” Athena asked
“Nothing ap@rt from Ares chasing me after the ritual then I threw the locket into the ocean before he caught up with me” Helen replied
“do you recall why he chased you?”
“because I didn’t love him again” Helen replied
“you were un-der a spell” Athena said
“I’m not I truly love Plutus” Helen protested
“no you don’t it’s Ares you love but Eros cast a spell on you to love Plutus”
“that’s not true”
“do you recall when Zulus c@m£ to you?”
“I recall everything and it’s Plutus I love Ares is just jealous and I’ll deal with him for casting me into this de-ep sleep”
“she’s still un-der Eros’ spell” Margaux whispered to Athena
“Eros’ spell is difficult to break she might love Plutus forever poor Ares” Athena said sadly
“is there no way to break the spell?”
“the only way is destroying Plutus”
They c@m£ out of the cave and met us fast asleep, we were so stressed out that we couldn’t wait for them to be out.
“who are they?” Helen asked referring to us
“Ajax, King Alesandro’s and Diana’s son
Jace a royal friend
Alessia and Amber friends from the modern who c@m£ to help us” Athena explained
“Ajax is grown but why isn’t he a god?” Helen asked
“King Alesandro saw it as the right thing to do to protect him” Athena replied
“we nee-d to find the locket but no one in Sophos can swim” Helen said
“that’s an advantage we have over Diana, she can’t swim” that was Athena then she vanished
“Sophos’ always leaves without a signal” Helen sighed the sat on a rock
“you’re so beautiful” Margaux complimented
“thanks”
THE NEXT MORNING
“arrgggggg” Amber screamed and we got up with a start
“what’s wrong?” I asked getting open sluggishly
“she… a…” Amber stuttered pointing at what I didn’t know and then we turned to what she was pointing and I also screamed
“hey! Cut it out” Louis said then turned and also screamed
“is…she…re…real?” Jace stuttered
“you don’t nee-d to scream” Margaux hurled
“who are you?” Ajax asked
“Helen”
“Helen?” we all chorused
“are those your real eyes? Is your hair real?” Amber asked Helen in admiration
“yes”
“you’re so beautiful” I mouthed wi-de-eyed
“yeah and I’m gonna take after her” Amber br@gged
“that’s not possible I have the same colour of hair as her’s so I’ll take after her” I protested and Helen smiled at our argument.
Who wouldn’t argue? She’s a real beautiful and now I see why Ares locked her.
“Ajax why aren’t you a god?” Helen asked Ajax
“I lost the form”
“I want you to get it back cuz we’ll nee-d it in this mission” Helen said
“I can’t get it back”
“you can my father lost he’s when I was born to protect my mother but he got it back”
“how?”
“you lost a p@rt of you trying to protect your throne and you’ll get it back when you protect something as important as the throne to you” Helen replied
“but for now we nee-d to get the locket” Helen added
“yeah that’s why we’re here” Louis said
“you amongst you can swim?” Helen asked
“Alessia” Amber pointed at me
“no Margaux swims better than me she always beats me in swimming clas-ses”
“is that true Margaux?” Helen asked Margaux and she smiled shyly
“I always cheat” Margaux replied
“so do I” I confessed
“what? You two always cheat?” Amber asked in disbelief
IN THE un-derWORLD
“master” Diana hailed bowing down to a figure on black coat surrounded with fire
“you failed in getting the prophecy and the lamp” the figure accused
“forgive me”
“I don’t want you to fail this time”
“we nee-d to use someone from amongst them” Diana suggested
“the boy Louis is the smartest among them so GET HIM”
BACK TO THE WOODS
“let’s get going” Ajax said and mounted on his horse
“can you now ride?” Jace asked Amber as she mounted on her’s
“not really but I can try”
“how about you Alessia?” Ajax asked me
“Helen will ride on mine”
“then you’ll go on foot?” Jace wanted to know
“I’ll ride with Ajax”
We started the ride slowly as we chatted then Louis suddenly st©pped along a waterfall.
“what’s it Louis?” I asked as we all st©pped our horses
“look” he pointed at the water
“who’s she?” I asked staring at the young girl who was trying to save herself from drowning
“what’s she doing alone here no one in Sophos can swim” Jace said
“we nee-d to save her” Louis said
“no it’s a set up” Helen disagreed
“it’s not a set up she nee-ds him” Louis protested then got down from his horse
“where are you going Louis?” I asked
“to save her” Louis replied and dived into the water
“NO!!!!!!” we all screamed but it was too late as Louis alre-ady swept fast to the drowning girl
“how do we get him out?” I asked worriedly
“it’s a tra-p” Helen said as Louis reached for the girl and they dived into the water together
“where are they?” Amber asked staring at the now still water
“they’re gone” I replied sadly
“it was a tra-p she now has him and he knows our plans” Ajax said worriedly
“we nee-d to st©p them but where could he be?”

Ajax jumped into the pit and to his surprise the fire was fake, he fell on a strong surface then quic-kly got up and scanned the pit to look for me but he didn’t see me though I could see him and was calling out his name.
“looking for someone?” a voice asked mocking in echoes
“who…are you?” Ajax stuttered looking around
“your worst nightmare” the voice replied and gave an evil laugh
“show yourself” Ajax dared
“you’re no match for me” the voice echoed
“show yourself coward”
“the one who beget you gave you to me”
“who are you?”
“the god of the un-derworld”

“Diana he’s your child save him” Helen yelled at Diana
“I want the locket” Diana yelled back
“how can you prefer a locket to your son?”
“the locket will give the entire Sophos to me but Ajax can’t”
“don’t do this”
“it’s too late Helen there’s nothing I can do”
“is there anyway down there?”
“no” Diana lied
“then…”
“Alessia and Ajax are gone”

“god of the un-derworld?” Ajax wondered then looked around
“where’s Alessia?”
“right behind you”
“where?” Ajax asked looking around
“Ajax!” I called but he still couldn’t hear me
“you’re such a br@ve man Ajax” the voice commented
“but it’s a pity your mother had to give you to me YOU’RE MINE”
“NO”
“the girl you seek is calling you”
“you can’t have everything”
“what do you want? To be a god again or the girl?”
Ajax was dumbfounded, he was quite for a while as he thought of what really mattered to him
“I nee-d to protect Sophos” Ajax replied
“and you want to get your god form?”
“protect my kingdom”
“get your god form”
“protect my kingdom”
“what do you nee-d to protect your kingdom? Your god form or the girl?”
“I nee-d to protect my kingdom” Ajax replied and the god got confused.
Meanwhile, unknown to the god Ajax was trying to trace where his voice was coming from so he could find Alessia and at the same time unveil the god of the un-derworld.
“the girl or the form?” The voice asked sternly
“my kingdom”
“Ajax!” the voice hurled in a thun-derous voice and Ajax quic-kly turned to the place that had the highest pitch and that was when he saw a glint of dim light coming from a small opening.
“I want…” Ajax trailed as he traced the light
“you want what?”
“my kingdom” Ajax replied and got to the little opening but it was a rock with a small opening then he looked throu-gh the opening and saw Alessia tied to a stone be-d with the girl who had disguised as Cindy sitting before a carved stone that was covered with an old dusty sheet.
“the god of the un-derworld” Ajax muttered to himself as he looked throu-gh the hole
“you’re a coward to hide in an old dusty sheet show yourself” Ajax dared the god
“who are you?” the god asked and the girl looked around in fear cuz no one ever knew that the god was hidden
“your worse nightmare” Ajax hurled then kicked the wall with f0rç£ and the stones fell and he walked in
“god of the un-derworld” Ajax scoffed as he c@m£ to stand before the carved god
“Ajax don’t” the girl who seemed to be a servant to the god pleaded when he tried tou-ching the god
“untie her” Ajax ordered the girl referring to me
“I can’t she’s tied with powers from the un-derworld” the girl replied
“who are you?”
“just like her I was thrown into the pit when I was little and tied on that stone for five years till I bec@m£ a servant of the un-derworld”
“so if she remains there she becomes a servant?”
“yes”
“how do I untie her?”
“only a god can?”
Ajax turned back to the god with a deadly glare
“untie her”
“you had the chance to save the girl but you…”
“NOW!” Ajax bellowed and the walls shaked
“what was that?” Helen asked looking around as the walls of the un-derworld stared falling
“the…un-derworld…is falling” Diana stuttered in fear
“whose powers is behind this?” Helen asked
“I have no idea” Diana replied
“we have to leave here else we perish” Helen said
“what about Alessia and Ajax?” Amber asked
“if these stones fall we’ll all die and there would be no hope for Sophos” Helen replied
“we can’t just leave them to die” Jace protested
“we still have to find the locket” Helen insisted
“without them?” Amber asked in disbelief
“the spirits will guide them” Helen as-sured
“what…” Louis was interrupted by a hvge stone that fell beside him and the walls started falling and blocking the exit
“we don’t have time” Helen said as they scrambled about hiding themselves from the falling stones
“let’s go” Amber finally agreed and they headed for the exit
“where’s Diana?” Margaux asked looking back
“I think she alre-ady escaped” Jace replied
“the exit is blocking quic-k” Helen cried out and they ran fas-ter and luckily when they got to the exit, there was a small way to creep out
“Amber go first” Jace said the Amber tried creeping into the hole when a stone fell and blocked the last hope they had. They looked up and saw Diana sm-irking evily
“you’re all gonna die here Sophos is mine” Diana said and vanished
“we’ll die”

BACK IN WESTCHASE
“I miss Alessia” Adrian whinned as his mum prepared him for school
“Alessia will be back soon” my mum as-sured
“it’s been more than three days” Adrian yelled
“what’s going on?” my dad asked walking in with his cu-p of coffee
“it’s about Alessia” mum replied
“I’m also worried the project is supposed to be over by now and no one has heard from her” my dad said
“let’s call Amber’s mum I’m worried sick” mum suggested and reached for her phone
“Hello….”
“hello” Clara called
“is Amber back yet?”
“no is Alessia back?”
“she’s not and we’re worried”
“Amber’s line is not going throu-gh” Clara said
“and so is Alessia’s am so scared”
“let’s inform the police” Clara suggested
“I think we should do that I’ll come over with my husband” Mum replied
“I’ll also inform Louis’ parents and the school” Clara added and hung up
“no news?” Adrian asked when mum dropped the call
“not yet sweetie” mum replied then Adrian wailed
“Alessia is fine” dad soothed but Adrian continued wailing and screaming
“let’s go to Clara’s” mum told dad then picked up her hand bag
“Adrian you nee-d to go to school”
“I want to see Alessia”
“we’ll come back with Alessia I promise” mum as-sured
“I’m not going to school without Alessia”
“where could my daughter be?”
IN THE un-derWORLD
Immediately Ajax screamed, the ropes binding me loosed and he started fading.
“Ajax what’s happening to you?” I asked as she sat up watching Ajax fade into the air
“I don’t know” Ajax replied in fear
“he’s…” the girl stuttered
“what’s happening?” Ajax hurled
“you’re…” the girl tried speaking again but the god of the un-derworld seized her ton-gue as she g@sped for air
“Ajax!” I cried out then he vanished into air
“Ajax! Ajax!”
“he’s gone” the god said and laughed out evily
“what happened to him?” I asked shaking the girl violently but she was held un-der the power of the god
“where…” I was still speaking when the walls started falling
“what’s happening?”
“the un-derworld is falling” the god replied
“Helen! Amber! Louis!…”
“they’re all dead and you’ll be joining them soon”
“Ajax!”
“Alessia” Ajax called from behind me then I turned to see him looking different
“who are you?” I asked not sure if he was really Ajax
“it’s me Ajax” he replied
“you look… different” I observed
“how?” he asked quizzically then looked at himself
“I…” he was about speaking when a heavy stone fell in between us
“Ajax”
“Alessia”
I made to run to Ajax when more stones started falling and separating us. Ajax tried climbing the stones when a big stone fell and hit him off
“Ajax be careful”
“he can’t come over” the girl spoke up then I turned to see her sitting on the ground p@n-ting for air
“how do we get out?” I asked her
“there’s no way”
“what do you mean there’s no way?”
“he has to go before the only exit blocks” the girl said
“I’m not going” Ajax yelled
“you have to” the girl yelled back then more stones started falling and we could no longer see Ajax neither could he see us
“what do we do?” I asked the girl
“we nee-d to find another pas-sage”
Ajax was scared as the stones kept falling and he could no longer see us. He yelled my name but got no reply then he tried running out of the pit and the only way was climbing up.
He stated climbing up and as he climbe-d each stone he stepped on fell, he felt a new strength in him and he climbe-d up with ease.
I was really scared as the stones fell beside us and we had to duck regularly to avoid been hit by the stones. The girl who I later found out that her name was Gabrielle led the way to a secret pas-sage.
We ran when we had to and creeped when we had to. The stones didn’t st©p falling and Gabrielle injured badly trying to protect me from getting injured.
“you’ll get hurt” I said as she tried creeping into a small hole
“this sitted the only way” she smiled throu-gh her bleedingl-ips
“you nee-d to rest you’re dying”
“we can’t st©p now the un-derworld is falling and if we don’t get out now we’ll both die”
“can you do this?” I asked and she nodded weakly
“then you have to st©p taking the stones for the both of…” a big stone fell and hit her hand then she gro-an ed in pain
“Gabri..”
“we don’t have time” she cut in weakly and crept into the hole then I followed behind.
“how do we get outta here?” Louis asked looking around
“Diana is evil” Helen muttered
“there’s no way out” Jace said and sat down in defeat
“I can’t believe I’m gonna die this way I wish I had listened to Margaux” Amber said sobbing then sat beside Jace
“we can’t give up” Louis hurled
“there’s no way out” Amber seethed
“where Ajax? Where’s Alessia? Where’s Athena who led us here?” Margaux asked
“I’m here” Ajax said climbing out of the pit
“Ajax!” they all called out and ran to him
“you look different” Jace observed
“what happened to you?” Amber asked
“he’s now a god” Helen g@sped
“a god? Where’s Alessia?” Amber asked
“I couldn’t save her”
“what?”
