KAIDEN’S POV
We got to a very cozy restaurant then I opened my snack, as I stared de-eply at Mr Adams.
“You like cookies?” Mr Adams asked with a smile as he had a sip from his cu-p of coffee.
“Yeah, it’s actually my favorite” I answered after gulping down the piece of cookies in my mouth.
“You said you want my help with something” Mr Adams inquired and I smiled.
“What’s the rush? You don’t have plans for this morning right?” I asked less concerned.
“I was heading to your house before you called so I cancelled all my plans for this morning. Kaiden it would be silly of me to ask you this but I have to” He said slowly as he swallowed ha-rd.
“I’m listening, it may be silly but maybe worth listening to” I said bluntly.
“You had a comfortable life when you were growing up right?” He asked concerned.
“Well we didn’t live so comfortably like your sons Carl and Carlos but Mum did everything in her power to always provide our daily meals. Having just meals doesn’t mean you had a comfortable life but we were happy because we didn’t go to be-d with an empty stomach” I explained.
“I’m sorry” He said slowly as tears escaped his eyes.
“Why do you suddenly feel remorseful? Why didn’t you think of our future before cheating on mum with your mistress? Did you ever love Mum?” I asked coldly and he looked away.
“I’m sorry, no amount of apology will account for every thing I did to Cindy. I claimed to love her and yet still cheated on her, I’m also disappointed with myself” He said slowly.
“Why did you cheat on my mum in the first place? If we’re to compare their looks, my mum is way too beautiful to be in same league as your mistress. You knew you’d break her heart if you left her and yet you did it, worse of it all you didn’t even show up for once when we were growing up. If you put yourself in our shoes, you would hate yourself even more” I blurted getting pissed.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry” He apologized with his face down as he wiped off his tears.
“If you feel this bad, why did you do it in the first place. Why can’t life be so simple? Creating misun-derstanding and heartbreak is so tiring” I g-asped out tiredly looking away then threw one of the cookies into my mouth.
“Exactly, why do we humans always create problems for ourselves” He repeated then had a sip from his cu-p of coffee.
“That’s because we’re humans and we can’t tell the future. No human will throw himself in depression if he knew what he will go throu-gh so just take your time and reflect on your actions, we won’t be angry with you forever” I uttered tiredly.
“You’re intelligent. What’s your dream job?” He asked curiously and I hesitated before answering.
“Why do you suddenly sound friendly? I haven’t forgiven you yet so don’t even think you’re off the hook” I reminded and he smiled.
“You’re so like your mother. I miss her so much” He uttered almost in a whisper.
I’m pretty sure Mum misses you too, she wouldn’t have convinced me otherwise if she doesn’t feel anything for you. You were once a couple so I’m pretty sure you will settle your issues on your own. I muttered in my mind staring at him.
“I was expecting you to shout at me or even behave rudely so you would piss me off but you’re actually giving me the opposite of what I expected” He smiled.
“That’s because I’m free minded, I don’t let things weigh me down. If Legend were here, you would have seen exactly what you were expecting or maybe not because at home he’s the most considerate and smartest” I said calmly.
“It would have been nice if we were having this conversation with Legend here but who am I to ask for more, I don’t have that right” He said calmly.
“The reason I asked to meet up….” I pursed and sat up right.
“You’re back into our lives and I always get a reward for what I do. I do things to get something back in return so what can you offer me for not being in our lives for 18 years?” I asked coldly and he smiled.
“I will give you what you’ve always dreamed of having” He said with a smile.
“Do you think you can afford it?” I asked in a very matured tone.
“Let’s give it a shot, I don’t think it’s something I can’t do” He said confidently and I sm-irked.
“I like that spirit so here it goes…” I pursed.
“I’m dying to hear it” He said anxiously.
“Make my mum happy, you have to fix what you broke that’s a key way to get what you want” I muttered out calmly and he stared at me p@$$ionately.
“I know you will do the right thing” I added then stood up.
“I should drop off” He requested.
“No don’t bother, this place is close to my street anyways. Take your time and think about what to do okay” I smiled then head out.
“Kaiden!” Mr Adams called from behind, I turned around.
“Thank you son” He shouted so I would hear him then I smiled.
You have to earn back our trust so good luck. I muttered in my mind and continued walking down home.
GRAYSON’S POV
We got to a beach resort.
“What do you think Legend? Should we all go for a single room or we should stay in a bigger suite we three boys?” Axel asked curiously.
“I would have suggested we stay together in a bigger suite but Melody will feel a bit lonely, if she stays alone. It would have been perfect if Jasmine c@m£ along” Legend hinted and we saw Jasmine running into the resort with her luggage.
“And that’s why I called Jasmine over” I uttered out and Legend smiled at me.
“Wow Grayson, you’re really acting strange this time around” Legend tea-sed and Jasmine ran to us pa-nting heavily.
“Melody! I can’t believe you left without telling me? I thought we were best friends” Jasmine whined catching her breath and Melody gave her a ti-ght hu-g.
“I’m sorry Jasmine. I was thinking you would love to celebr@te the Christmas with your family” Melody explained and Jasmine broke the hu-g.
“Of course you’re my family too. Why would you even think I will reject the offer of celebr@ting the Christmas with my BFF” Jasmine pouted and Melody held her ears.
“It’s all settled now so Axel let’s go ahead with the booking” Legend chipped in.
“Sure, you girls wait here. We will be back” Axel instructed and we three walked to the receptionist.
“Good day sir, here are your keys sir” The receptionist said politely handing the keys to Axel.
“We haven’t even booked the room yet? Axel did you book the rooms before we got here?” Legend asked curiously and he smiled.
“My @$$istant got that settled, all we have to do is enjoy our stay here and make this Christmas a blissful one” Axel smiled as we turned around to leave.
“Enjoy your stay in our resort sir” The receptionist said politely.
“Of course” I smiled at her.
“It’s so good to have an @$$istant. Axel your @$$istant is like your human mobile machine. So what are you guys plan for the Christmas?” Legend asked as we walked to where Melody and Jasmine was.
“This is actually my first time celebr@ting my Christmas with bunch of friends, I have the feeling this will be so much fun” Jasmine said smiling wi-dely and Axel gave Melody their room key.
“Thank you Axel, I feel bad we didn’t add anything to booking the suite” Melody said slowly.
“Why would you feel bad? Don’t you want to enjoy having a rich friend. Don’t worry all our expenses will be covered by my Dad so concentrate on having fun alone. Let’s head to our rooms” Axel said smiling as everyone carried their luggage.
He’s so kind and generous. Not all rich kids will want to hang out with middle cl@$$ kids like ourselves, I can’t believe I got jealous of him when he had something I would never have and that’s childhood memories with Legend. I g-asped in my head as we all head to our suite.
“I think we nee-d to make ourselves clear on this. Let’s stop pretending like we know nothing when we know exactly what’s going on here? I no longer want to walk on eye shell” I blurted out immediately we got into our suite.
“Okay but can’t it wait?” Legend asked looking around the room.
“What are you doing?” Axel whispered to me.
“No it can’t wait” I said seriously.
“Okay, we’re all ears” Legend said.
“Legend I like you and not as a friend but in a ro-mantic way” I blurted and I could see the shock written all over his face.
“Oh okay but Grayson was this the reason you were against me hanging out with others?” Legend asked curiously.
“Yeah and I’m not the only one who feels same way for you, Axel and Melody feel same way for you as well. Legend we can’t just seat back and pretend like we’re fine when we’re not. Seeing you smile or act so sweet around either of us pisses us off, we feel jealous and hurt” I explained.
“But what do you want me to do, of course I treat you all that way because you’re my friends. It’s not like I smile or act so sweet around outsiders. I’m also walking on eye shells here so what do expect me to do?” Legend asked seriously.
“Legend I’m not rushing you into ma-king any rou-gh decisions, think it throu-gh” Axel said slowly.
“Well I don’t have that much of patience so Legend who among us do you want to go out with?” I asked curiously.
“I’m sorry guys but I don’t think I deserve to be with anyone. I don’t feel any R0m-n-ce for anyone so I’m sorry I can’t be yours. I hope that settles it” Legend said tiredly then left the room.

AUTHOR’S POV
Grayson and Axel stared at each other for some minutes before Legend left the room.
“Don’t keep on staring if you have something to say” Grayson said looking away.
“Why do you always ruin the mood? I decided we all to go on a trip for our Christmas holiday but what it really necessary for you to blurt everything out like that. We haven’t settled down and you ruined everything alre-ady” Axel said coldly.
“At least now we know what Legend thinks” Grayson said a bit remorseful.
“Does that settles anything? Do you think you will be able move on now that Legend isn’t interested in anyone of us? Why do you always have to complicate things for yourself” Axel said coldly then carried his luggage to go on unpack.
“Ain’t you going to go talk to Legend? We can’t leave him like that. I think you should go talk to him” Grayson suggested.
“It’s so unlike you to convince someone to do something like that and I think Legend will really nee-d some space right now” Axel said sluggishly as he unpacked.
“Legend nee-ds someone to talk to right now so he can clear up his mind on things so go talk to him before he vents his frustration on someone else” Grayson forewarned and Axel stared at him.
“If you knew that then why did you upset him?” Axel asked sarcastically.
“Are you sure Legend is the only one who’s upset because it seems like you’re upset as well. Axel believe me when Legend says no on something, nothing’s changing his mind so start working on how to move on” Grayson advised as he sighed then went ahead to unpack as well.
“Yes I’m upset but it’s not like I never expected something like this. I knew Legend would tell me something like this someday but I decided to enjoy the moment with the hope that he will accept me someday but you just crushed that hope in a minute” Axel confessed and sat on the be-d tiredly.
“You knew Legend would say something like this?” Grayson asked curiously.
“It was obvious all Legend wanted was friendships and nothing more and I bet he would rather choose our friendship than love” Axel said slowly and stood up.
“I will go talk to him, he must have cooled off by now” Axel added and went out of the room.
“I call myself his best friend and didn’t even know that” Grayson murmured as Axel went out.
“Legend!” Axel called looking around as he went down the hallway.
Then he walked to resort’s cafe. Legend was sitting at a corner, taking a cu-p of coffee.
“Legend!” Axel called then ran to where Legend was sitting.
“Axel do you nee-d some?” Legend asked with a half smile referring to the coffee.
“Are you okay now?” Axel asked curiously as he sat next to Legend.
“I’ve always been fine. I was just frustrated that’s all. I have no idea why I have such an emotional instability, I always ask myself questions like this… If I’m okay or something’s wrong somewhere” Legend said slowly with a smile.
“There’s nothing wrong with you Legend. You’re fine, you just haven’t found the right one yet and I guess our pres-ence might have added to it. We’re always around doesn’t mean we’re the right ones for you. You have the right to say no to something you’re not sure of” Axel advised with a smile.
“Why do you sound so cool about it? You should be advising me on how to love you or give you a chance” Legend hinted and Axel chuckled.
“Few minutes ago I wasn’t cool about it but seeing you like this changed everything. Why do we have to lose something special we share right now when we still so many years ahead of us to find happiness. We’re only 18, we have a long way to go so no rush” Axel smiled.
“If I were in your shoes, I would hold on ti-ght to that something that gives me happiness, it’s difficult finding happiness. Don’t you think so?” Legend asked with a smile.
“Oh come on Legend, it’s ha-rd alre-ady don’t make it worse. What’s the use of fighting for your happiness when you’re ma-king the other person walk on eggshells. I’m not that petty and I’m a free guy. I’m someone who puts my mind on something, I end up getting it but I don’t want to ruin our friendship for that. I prefer having you as a friend than not having you either ways” Axel explained and Legend placed his hand around Axel’s shoulders.
“Thank you Axel. I have such wonderful friends, sometimes I wonder if I’m worthy of having you guys” Legend smiled and had a sip from his coffee.
“What do you plan on doing with Melody? She loves you like crazy and you know girls put so much emotions in heart break. We guys puts much thought on it but I think we can handle it. Do you think Melody can handle it?” Axel asked curiously and Legend swallowed ha-rd.
“I’ve given her my answer before so she just have to accept it. Her tears breaks my heart but I’m pretty sure she will be fine after some days” Legend said slowly.
“I don’t think it’s that easy” Axel murmured.
Next day at night…
They all gathered in the boy’s room.
“Do you think we made the right decision coming to a resort to spent our Christmas” Axel mumbled as they all stared at each other.
“What’s that sound? Let’s head out to down town” Legend suggested.
“That sounds like a good idea” Melody and Grayson chorused.
“So what are we waiting for? Let’s get going” Jasmine cut in and they all stood up.
“Guys guess what’s in my hand right now?” Axel asked jovially as he displa-yed the tickets in his hands.
“Oh no… Axel!” Everyone chorused excitedly staring at Axel.
“Is that the movie named my love confession on Christmas Eve… Oh my goodness, Legend we’ve been dying to watch it in a cinema” Grayson announced excitedly.
“Let’s not just seat back and stare at each other, let’s go out. The show will be starting by 9pm, let’s get going” Axel shouted.
They all head out of the resort and went to the cinema.
“gr-ab your popcorn” Jasmine shouted excitedly as she ran into the cinema with Melody hand to hand.
Legend stared at everyone from behind, everyone chatting and laughing.
They all look so happy. Let’s not make it awkward, Legend let’s celebr@te the Christmas to the fullest. Legend muttered in his mind.
“Guys let’s go together” Legend shouted as he ran to them and placed his hands on Grayson and Axel’s shoulders.
Hours later…
“Axel that was fun” Jasmine complimented as they c@m£ out of the cinema.
“You bet” Axel smiled.
“I never knew Andrew would confess his feelings in the woods. That was so unexpected” Legend narrated with a smile.
“Love confession happens anywhere, it just depends on the mood” Axe chipped in and everyone kept mute.
“Axel I like you” Jasmine blurted with her eyes closed.
“Woooh! I didn’t see that coming” Grayson tea-sed and Jasmine opened her eyes.
“Axel don’t just stand there, say something” Melody uttered and Axel smiled.
“Jasmine how much do you like me?” Axel asked and everyone stared at him.
I kinda feel a sign of rejection, it’s not going to be good. Legend g-asped in his head.
“I like you a lot Axel” Jasmine said slowly.
“Come on Jasmine, don’t you think you should at least confess your feelings in pri-vate so everyone let’s give them some space” Legend chipped in with an awkward smile.
“Yeah I think Legend’s right” Grayson added with a smile and they were about leaving.
“I don’t think it’s necessary. Jasmine confessed her feelings in front of everyone so I should also give her my reply in front of everyone” Axel smiled and went closer to Jasmine.
“Axel you don’t have to give me an answer right now. Take your time” Jasmine stuttered and Axel placed his hands on her shoulders gently.
“Why’s he suddenly acting like a pla-yboy? If he plans on rejecting her, he shouldn’t do it in front of we all” Grayson murmured as they all stared at Axel.
“I’m sorry Jasmine but I don’t like keeping conversations and decisions pending so I will give you my answer right here and now” Axel uttered then stared at Legend.
“Axel you don’t have to rush things like Jasmine said, give it some thought” Legend chipped in and Axel smiled.
“I’m sorry Jasmine but I’m not interested in girls. I hope that’s enough for you to let the feelings go” Axel said calmly then walked to Grayson leaving Jasmine dumbfounded.
“I’m sorry Axel but I don’t think this feelings will go away that easily. I’ve had this feelings for awhile now and I can’t just let it go because of what you just said. Let’s go Melody” Jasmine said defiantly as tears roll down her cheeks then she left with Melody.
“Axel you should have been a bit nice. No one would have been convinced with the way you said it. So many heartbreak for this Christmas” Grayson said sarcastically then went after the girls.
Legend stared at Axel and sm-irked.
