AUTHOR’S POV
Legend finally got throu-gh to Jasmine’s number.
“I will be right there” Legend uttered anxiously over the phone and rushed out of the school.
Legend got the hospital within minutes.
“Jasmine how’s Melody doing” Legend asked curiously as he met Jasmine at the hospital.
” She’s in her room and she’s asleep at the moment” Jasmine g-asped slowly.
“How did this happen? Did someone push Melody down the stairs?” Legend inquired.
“I have no idea what happened as well. I was in the basketball court practicing with the girls when someone rushed to tell me the news. She hurt herself pretty badly” Jasmine explained and Legend hissed looking away.
“The doctor said she collap-sed due to dizziness. The question is how did Melody suddenly become dizzy. She looked fine to me before I left for the basketball court” Jasmine added trying to process everything.
“I think I have an idea on why she bec@m£ dizzy. I can’t believe I will be so stupid. Melody is in this because of me” Legend hesitated and sat down on the corridor.
“What do you mean Legend” Jasmine asked staring at Legend.
“I…. I tried to make Melody sing at the music cl@$$room” Legend g-asped in a low tone.
“You did what! Legend you only reminded Melody of her painful memories. Those are one of the memories she doesn’t want to reminisce. Do you know why Melody stopped singing” Jasmine said slowly with a frown.
” She said she missed her audition and that’s why she stopped singing. Is there another reason behind it” Legend asked curiously.
FLASHBACK*** Melody left home as she couldn’t wait for her parents anylonger for the company she wanted to audition in and met with an fatal accident on the way.
“Move it” The nurses announced as they rushed Melody in the emergency room.
“Doctor plea-se how’s our daughter doing” Tonia panicked as she rushed to the hospital with Michael.
“She lost her ability to talk, she lost her voice due to the shock during the accident” The doctor announced and Tonia lost her stamina to stand as she stepped back but Michael held her before she would fall to the ground.
“Doctor are you trying to say my daughter will never talk again or even sing? Doc she is a singer, can she be able to sing again” Michael asked curiously.
“I don’t think she will ever be able to sing again but let’s hope she gains back her voice. She will have to stay in the hospital for seven months while she goes throu-gh some tests regularly” The doctor announced.*** FLASHBACK ENDS.
“I feel terrible” Legend g-asped sadly after listening to what Jasmine narrated to him.
“Everyone was hoping Melody will get back her voice in Seven months just like the doctor said but Melody ended up spending a year at the hospital. All she did then was sob and sob after finding out she lost her ability to sing again” Jasmine narrated as tears roll down her cheeks and she wiped it off swiftly.
“I’m so sorry. You seem to know a lot about Melody but you only knew each other when you attended Rock Prim” Legend inquired.
“Not really.. Melody and I have always been friends since we were little but we p@rt ways when we were Seven years old and later united again when we entered junior high” Jasmine explained with a smile.
“I want to see Melody. plea-se take me to your room, I really don’t want to be a burden so plea-se tell me what her room number is” Legend muttered as he stood up.
“I wouldn’t want to be the third wheel in there so go ahead. Her room number is 021” Jasmine mentioned and Legend smiled at her.
Legend got Melody’s room and found her sweating. Seems like she was having a nightmare.
“I’m sorry” Legend whispered and to the bathroom, got a bowl of water and a towel then brou-ght it to Melody’s be-d.
“I’m sorry for ma-king you go throu-gh this again. I shouldn’t have asked you to sing for me. I feel terrible requesting such a thing for you. Why did I even do it” Legend whispered remorsefully as he wiped off Melody’s sweats.
“You will be fine. I’m here now, I will make sure to stay by you till you recover” Legend said and ca-ressed her cheeks gently.
“Can you keep it down, you’re ma-king a hell of a noise” Melody uttered in a low tone as she opened her eyes and Legend moved backwards.
“Melody you’re awake” Legend asked nervously and she tried to sit up but she winced trying to put her hand in a good position.
“Sorry” Legend said softly and helped her with it.
“Do you feel bad or you’re pretending to feel bad” Melody asked with a frown.
“I’m sorry Melody. I really didn’t mean to wake the terrible memories you have about your singing” Legend cut in swiftly.
“Jasmine is such a big mouth. She told you everything alre-ady” Melody pouted.
“She felt really terrible when I told her about asking you to sing for me so she was left with no other choice but to tell me everything. Don’t take it the wrong way. I think I disrupted your sleep, now that you’re awake and fine. I will take my leave so you will have a peaceful rest” Legend said placing the towel on his hand on the table next to Melody’s be-d.
“How can you say I’m fine when I’m feeling so much pain. You’re trying to run away from me, don’t forget you’re p@rtially responsible for this” Melody said with a little frown looking away and Legend brou-ght out a marker pen.
“Don’t worry I’m not going anywhere. I’m staying here with you” Legend smiled and held Melody’s arm gently.
“What are you doing” Melody asked staring at Legend as he wrote something on her cast.
“Just doing it for fun” Legend said and placed her arm back to the position it was.
“I’m not going anywhere” Melody re-ad out what Legend wrote.
“Come on Legend, I thought you are supposed to write things like get well soon, quic-k recovery cutie, can’t wait to have you back in school. Things like that” Melody complained.
“You’re having such thoughts so I can’t write such. I will only write what you’re not expecting” Legend tea-sed.
“Interesting. Legend tell me a story. You’ve really not tell me anything about you” Melody requested and Legend sat down.
“I just don’t find it fun talking about my past because it really su-cks” Legend uttered and they grinned.
“But you have to keep me busy so I stop thinking about the pain” Melody pouted acting all cute.
“Alright, I think I have a story for you. They’re two handsome boys whose names are Adrian and Brian. They’re both best friends, they live next door to each other. Their parents are family friends” Legend said smiling.
“Sounds more like you and Grayson” Melody hinted.
“I don’t think so. One beautiful summer morning, Brian and Adrian’s parents prepared for a summer family outing but surprisingly Brian and Adrian had a hu-ge quarrel in front of their parents so their parents decided to ground them for displa-ying such nonchalant behavior Infront of them. The parents went out leaving Brian and Adrian at home, that was supposed to be the most unhappiest summer break but it turned out to be the most happiest” Legend giggled as he narrated.
“But they were grounded right” Melody asked excited about the story.
“Yeah they were. Brian and Adrian threw a mini p@rty in Brian’s be-droom, after ordering for pizza and delicious drumsticks. They both had a spectacular summer break at home all to themselves but the whole fun got ruined as Brian’s dad c@m£ back saying he forgot his wallet. Brian and Adrian were for-ced to go for summer family outing afterwards” Legend narrated and Melody couldn’t stop laughing.
“That kinda feeling. Parents sometimes don’t really know what their kids want” Melody laughed.
“Exactly. Grayson and I felt terrible after being caught. Anyways it was fun” Legend confessed.
“I knew it, you lied to me. You said it wasn’t you and Grayson” Melody shouted jovially as she threw her pillow at Legend.
“I’m so sorry okay. I didn’t want to ruin the whole story thing, I wanted you to listen to it without teasing me” Legend uttered grinning as he picked the pillow.
“I’m a crazy fan for movies but I’m really not into telling or narrating one. I know my story right now su-cks but I had to tell you something” Legend explained and placed the pillow at the back of Melody.
“You have to recover” Legend added softly.

Axel got to George’s restaurant and waited for three hours but Legend didn’t show up.
“Sir will you like to order for something” One of the waitress asked.
“Get me a gl@$$ of jui-ce. Thank you” Axel requested and the waitress left.
Few minutes later she c@m£ back with Axel’s order.
Axel waited for extra two hours without losing patience.
“Young boss, we have to go now. Your flight will be taking off in a hour time” One of Axel’s men reminded him. Axel had a glance at his wristwatch then stood up.
“He won’t be coming. Let’s go” Axel uttered sadly looking around then they head out to his car.
Legend this is where my journey with you ends till we meet again….
