✨ CHAPTER 47 ✨
“Hi Tyson!!” Antoinette squealed on seeing Tyson. She gave him a little hu-g and returned to stand next to Adena.
“You’re back? I did not expect to see you back so soon” she continued.
“My sister is getting married in a few weeks. I had to come back” Tyson answered, but his eyes were on Adena. Antoinette noticed this and became worried. Telling him about the pregnancy would be the best option, because if he found out in a bad way, it’ll mean the worst. He might turn against Logan again.
“Adena, you’ve got to tell him” she whispered. Adena sighed and signalled her to keep quiet.
“Is there a problem? You two are acting weird. Aren’t you happy to see me?” Tyson asked.
“No there’s no problem. Um.. I have to talk to you about something” Adena said, scratching her arm.
“What is that?” He asked.
She bit her li-p and wondered what his reaction would be. It’s only right for her to tell him. She didn’t want him to waste his time loving her, when she can never belong to him. She’s having a child for Logan.
Maybe after she gives birth, they would stand a chance to be together, but for now, it’s better she ends things.
“I’ll um.. I’ll excuse you two” Antoinette gave Adena a reas-suring smile before leaving to continue buying what she came to buy.
“What is the problem?” He asked, staring intensely at her.
“Well, do you still have those feelings for me?” She asked and he chuckled.
“Adena, you’re funny. You just can’t stop having feelings for someone. Besides, I haven’t been away for that long to forget about you. Why do you ask?” He said, shoving his hands into his pockets. He flashed his cute smile at her and she felt guilty for what she was about to do.
“I’m sorry that this isn’t the best place to talk about this but I think I have to tell you right now. I want you to move on with your life Tyson. You have a good heart and will definitely find someone who deserves your love” she said and he blinked at her in surprise.
He wondered what she was talking about. His heart sank into his stomach, he couldn’t afford to lose her, she was the first woman he ever fell in love with, and he was extremely attached to her.
“What do you mean? What happened?” He asked, she sighed.
“The thing is, I can’t be yours even if I wanted to, because I’m pregnant for Logan” she finally broke the news and he staggered backwards, the news was shocking, and almost unbelievable. He blinked at her, trying to make sense of what she said.
“You’re what?” He asked.
“Look Tyson. This isn’t even the right place to talk about this. I just wanted to tell you so you wouldn’t go on loving me when we can’t be together” she sighed again as tears gathered in her eyes.
She hated hurting him, he was a good man and didn’t deserve it. Non of this was his fault, but he had to pay the price.
“I don’t un-derstand what you’re saying Adena. How? When? I want you to explain everything to me” he insisted, trying very ha-rd to hold back his tears and pain.
“Don’t do this. We’re in public. Please, just move on” she said and turned her back on him. Without saying another word, she walked away and went to join Antoinette.
Tyson just stood there wondering what happened. He felt his heart shattering. He was hurt and de-eply bruised. He had always imagined a life with Adena. He wanted to build his own empire, and have her rule by his side. But she’s pregnant, for Logan.
He turned and left the market, back to the hotel he was lodged in.
He spent the rest of day, thinking and stressing over everything. He wasn’t angry with Logan, he was just sad that he ever fell in love.
“It’s all my fault” he thought.
“She was Logan’s slave from the start, what was I thinking?” He added and Gr0-ned.

Adena entered the room and met Logan working on his laptop. She ignored him and entered the bathroom to take a bath. Logan noticed her foul mood and decided to ask her about it.
When she entered the room, he offered her some tea and sat next to her on the bed.
“I can see you’re not okay. What happened?” He asked and she sipped her tea, keeping silent for a few seconds.
“I ran into Tyson today” she finally answered. Logan didn’t look surprised. He knew he would be coming back for Camilla’s wedding.
“And?”
“I told him I was pregnant and he was heartbroken” she answered, and he adjusted his position on the bed.
“He had to find out sooner or later, so what’s the issue?” He asked and that seemed to enrage Adena.
“Is that all you’re going to say. Well, what was I expecting from you? You don’t know what it means to be in love so you don’t know how much it hurts!” She yelled at him and he flinched. His eyes wide-ned as her anger continued to rise.
“You don’t know how much it hurts to be hurt over and over again, by someone you love. Your heart is as black as coal and you will never un-derstand!!” She yelled as tears rolled down her cheeks. She sniffed and wiped her tears away.
“I want to rest” she said and got into the bed, covering herself with the duvet.
Logan watched her in shock, he felt weird. Her words were piercing.
He didn’t have a heart?
He didn’t know what it meant to be in love?
She had no idea, absolutely no idea how much he has come to love her. Maybe she would never accept him, maybe she would leave him afterall.
A few hours later, Liliana asked Adena and Antoinette to follow her to Damon’s house for some jewelry picking. They wanted to help Camilla pick out some jewelry for her wedding and also talk about some other wedding stuff.
Logan insisted on going with them because he also had to talk to Damon. They left in different cars, Liliana and Antoinette took one while Adena went with Logan.
On the way to Damon’s house, it started raining, very heavily and the tension was much on Logan. Adena knew he didn’t like the rain, and she had to do something.
Liliana and Antoinette moved along while Adena ordered the driver of their own car to stop, right in front of an open mall. It was getting dark so there was only a few people inside the mall.
“We should wait out the rain in here” Adena said as they ran into the mall. Logan shuddered at the cold and rain.
“I hate rainy days” he said and she sighed.
“You’re w£t again. You should get new clothes. You know you’re easily prone to cold” she reminded and he nodded. They walked to the clothes section and picked out new clothes. They both changed out of their w£t clothes and decided to sit in the eatery.
“It’s really pouring. I hope it stop soon” Adena said, placing her elbows on the table. Logan kept staring at her, still thinking about everything she said to him a few hours ago.
He couldn’t hold it in, he had to ask her.
“So why did you say everything you did? What makes you think that I don’t have a heart?” He asked. She looked at him and looked away again.
“Leave me alone. I don’t want to talk about that” she said, taking a de-ep breath.
“You don’t want to talk about it? But you started it. You think nobody else can love you except Tyson? You really think he’s the only one that can love you?” He continued and she Gr0-ned.
“Stop it! I said I don’t want to talk about this” she yelled at him.
“I hate that you cannot acknowledge my feelings” he still continued. She faced him in anger.
“What feelings? What are you saying?” She asked, about to flare up, but he beat her to it. He got to his feet and glared at her.
“Can’t you see it? Can’t you see how much I you have changed me? Can’t you see that you have become my addiction? I cannot think, eat, or sleep without you being on my mind!!
For goodness sake Adena, can’t you see that I fallen helplessly in love with you?!”
Adena froze, all her anger melted away.
“What?”
